Hey you guys, welcome to my ficcie. My second FF to be exact.
Decided to write this because I absolutely love the song "I Apologize" by Krezip (dutch band). Of course, other than the title there are hardly any similarities between this fic and the song, but that's not the point. Wrote it when I was at work, being completely and utterly bored I decided to take out my notebook and start writing (of course that is the moment that costumers decide to show up...)

Just like my previous FF, it is only a one shot, so don't expect any more posts. I am still working on a larger fic, unfortunately it is not nearly finished yet. Am a little low on inspiration (like below zero, a.k.a. non existant), so it will take quite a while before I will ever post it (if such a day may come...)

For those who don't know me, I'm not English, it's not my native language. So don't go swinging axes at my throat when there might be some grammar faults and the like...

I hope I haven't bored you to death yet and you will take time out of your busy life to read this little FF. Reviews are always welcome, critism is welcome, as long as you keep it nice... am human here, do bleed and hurt as well.

I Apologize – By Lady_Jezz

Nature was singing her own song in the park, the soft wind rustling the leaves of the trees. The soft cabling of the water, birds could be heard singing from up in the trees. The smell of flowers and grass hanging strong in the air.

The sun was high in the bright blue sky casting everything in a warm light. But the park was strangely empty for the time of day, then again, it wasn’t even lunchtime yet.

In the middle of one of the open fields, lying in a bed of daisies and high grass laid a young woman, her eyes closed against the sun, but a small happy smile playing her lips.

“Am I late?” a man’s voice asked her and her warm brown eyes opened immediately, her smile broadening, reaching her eyes.

“No, please, sit down”, she said, patting a patch of grass next to her.

The dark haired boy smiled back at her, his emerald eyes shining oddly bright.

“I wasn’t sure if you were going to make it. I’m really glad you did though”, the girl said to the boy, giving him a quick hug. But when she pulled back she saw his smile starting to fade a little.

He took her hand in his and gave it a little squeeze.

“Hermione, I don’t have much time, I’m sorry”, he said softly.

“What do you mean Harry? Do you have somewhere else to be?” Hermione asked anxiously, trying to search those familiar eyes, but for some strange reason, unable to do so.

Harry just smiled at her, not answering her question.

“I’ve come to apologize Hermione”, he said simply.

Hermione looked slightly puzzled, “For what, Harry? You haven’t done anything wrong”, Hermione replied, trying to think of something he should apologize for.

“I apologize for all the pain I’ve put you through. I apologize for all the trouble I’ve caused.
I apologize for all the inconvenience I gave you. I apologize for not supporting you enough. I apologize for leaving you alone. I apologize for leaving you behind. I apologize for never showing you how much your friendship means to me. I apologize for never thanking you enough for all you’ve done for me. I apologize for never telling you that I love you. But most of all I am sorry for never having had the guts to do this…”

Harry leaned forward slowly and gave Hermione a soft kiss on the lips.

When he pulled back he could see tears streaming down her face, but she was not the only one with moist eyes for he could feel a single tear trickling down his own check.

“I’m so sorry Hermione. I love you so much, I always have and always will. I’m sorry.”

He pressed his lips against hers for a second time.

When the pressure of Harry’s lips left Hermione she opened her eyes slowly.

“I love you too Harry”, she whispered, trying to hold on to him. “Please don’t leave.”

“I have no choice Hermione, but our time will come, even if it takes an eternity, we will find each other again. I’ll never stop looking for you.”

He slowly rose to his feet and looked down at her, “It is time for you to move on Hermione, you shouldn’t dwell on me, because you will forget to live. Stop shedding tears for me, my love, the pain will go away eventually.”

Hermione looked up at Harry and realized that slowly a cut was forming on Harry’s cheek, a bruise rose on his lower lip and his shirt starting to soak in red fluids.

“Harry…”, she whispered, but his image was already fading away.

And with those words and that image Hermione woke with a start, tears falling from her eyes. She was back in her own bed. She could still feel the pressure of Harry’s lips on hers, his presence lingering in her room.

“I’m sorry Harry”, she whispered to the dark room, “I know it’s been almost five years, I’m sorry”. And she laid back down, trying to regain sleep.

“I apologize for you dying, Harry.”

That was nice! Short but sweet. Could have been a little longer, I think...*grins* Do you think there's a possibility of you writing any outtakes for it? Why Harry died, etc?

You know, I'm probably gonna get some axes thrown at my head for saying this... but I really think Harry is supposed to die in the end... in the final war, taking Voldemort with him... so that's what happened here. As much as I don't want him to do, I really don't see any other way to be honest...

I totally agree, but still...just the way your fic is written...is there any possibility of outtakes? I really enjoyed this fic and would like to read more about what happened.
