One More Leap

To feel wanted, was all she ever dreamed.
Everyone was against her, or so it seemed.
As a girl, she had many friends,
But she still left lonely,
The heartache never ends.
She felt frozen, in a world
Where nothing seemed to stop.
Her heart felt like it was locked.
Locked in a world too cruel to care,
About a girl who was so close to the edge.
It started long ago, in this game that we call life.
Too many wouds were cut,
Too deep beyond repair.
Her parents would say,
"We love you so much," the just send her off.
Off into the world so big,
Or her to room so small,
With all the toys and gifts the bought
As a way to show their love.
Now we have a sad young woman
With her life so lost.
"All is over," she said to herself.
"Just one last jump to take,
"One more leap to make"

Visions

I'm crying
As the tears come down
I look round the room
But all I see
Are blurry visions
Of how we used to be.

I wanted to puit it in the shape of a teardrop, but anytime I tried, it wouldn't work.

Another...

If Only We Knew

As we near the front, we hear the noise.
Lots of men, men with their toys.
In the trench we hear the cries,
Of a fallen soldier as he dies.

What did we do to deserve this?
We didn't do anything wrong.
Yet we'll be fighting here,
Without seeing our love for long.

I write to my girl,
"I miss you so much.
This fighting is horrible,
So hard to clutch."

I'm at Yepres,
They've just used the gas.
It hangs around,
Because of its heavy mass.

I made it out this time, one of a few.
I feel like a changed man, if only we knew.
If only we knew we loose many friends.
A horrible way to die, such an awful end.

I wrote this poem for school in Grade 10, so two years ago, its one of my favorite poems that I have done.

Dream

My feelings are dark
My mood is blue
I look round the room,
But there is no you.

I listen to songs
All about love.
My mind just wonders,
Up and above.

I hope it's a dream
Your not really gone.
But deep in my heart
I know that I'm wrong.

My heart aches with love
That cannot be returned.
I've fallen so hard,
When will I learn.

There is only one more...but there is a contest for our Grad Survival day at my school.....I may write a poem for that, but I don't know....

Time By

I think about the times
We've shared
There were good ones
But also time
When I didn't think you cared.

I look back now,
Through all the bad
The good stands out
The smiles and the joy
Through the tears and the lies
As I pass the time by.

Now your gone
Gone for good.
We were so happy,
Everything was as it should

Looking for someone new,
But all I think of
Is you.
As I pass the time by.

Hope you like it, be honest!

This one I think is my least favourite.

These are some Haiku poems that I wrote for my english class.
They aren't really that great, but I haven't posted anything here for a LONG time

A bright light flies by
and I look into the night.
The sky is alive.
