It had been almost a month since Harry Potter had saved the wizarding world. He had managed to defeat the Darkest Wizard alive but was in trouble. In the past month Harry had not made a move, he could not talk. He appeared asleep, but this was all to change soon.

He had been getting visits from his friends, for he was lying in the hospital wing. Sirius and Remus had appeared regularly, filling Harry in on what had happened. Ron and Hermione were talking to Harry on this warm summer’s day.

“Lessons were funny, but they aren’t the same without you, mate.” Ron said looking at him.
“Yeah, I’m sure that you’ll be up soon to join Ron, though.” Hermione said slipping her hand onto Rons.
“Just don’t take too long,” Ron chuckled.

Something was shining over head. It wasn’t the sun, but it was just as bright. He could hear the sound of some people in the background, but he didn’t know who. They were laughing, they seemed familiar. As soon as he tried to open his eyes he felt something. His head was light, with a strange cooling on his forehead.

Harry automatically moved his arm to the side, reaching for his glasses. He found them further back then they would normally be, and placed them on his face. He opened his eyes, and then closed them feeling the strain on them. After waiting a couple of seconds, he slowly opened his eyes and took in all the room. He saw Ron and Hermione, talking about something which had happened in the grounds. Smiling, he let out a small cough to catch their attention.

“Harry!” Hermione said, looking at his open eyes. “You’re okay!”
“Hey mate, how are ya doing?” Ron said looking at Harry with a grin.

“Yeah, thanks. I’m doing well, just a bit sore.” Harry croaked. He hadn’t talked in a while and could feel it going at his throat. “What time is it?”

“Erm, I think it’s around 4. Lunch is in a bit.” Ron said, “You wanna go to the hall?”

“Wait Ron, we were supposed to tell Orios when Harry woke up. I’ll go get him now.” Hermione said disappearing from view.

“Okay then,” Ron said watching her go. “You want a drink?” He asked pouring himself some water.

“Yeah, sure,” Harry said taking hold of a glass of water. Ron poured it for him and Harry felt the weight go on his arms. His right arm almost dropped, but he threw his left in to the way to stop the fall. A bit had split onto his arm and he felt the cold water spread.

“You okay,” Ron said helping Harry raise his hand. He looked behind him and saw someone walk towards them. He had dark hair and a smile on his face.

“Harry!” Sirius said throwing his arms around Harry. “It’s great to see you’re up, everything ok?”

“Yeah,” Harry said catching his godfather. He winced as his upper torso was up, and tried to lean back on to the cushions.

“Good, look. We’ll let you rest, but we expect you to come to the hall in a bit. Are you okay with that?” Sirius said staring at Harry’s forehead.

“Yeah, sure. Am I okay to just get up, or do I have to wait for something?” Harry said yawning. One month of sleeping and he still was tired.

“Yes, as soon as you feel ready to go you can get up. If you want to you can ask the nurse to check you out, but you don’t have to.” He said. “If you don’t come I’ll be back to check on you.”

“Okay, I’ll go in a bit. I just need to get some clothes; I can’t go in wearing this.” He pointed to his gown.

“Okay, I’ll go get some for you,” Ron said getting ready. “I’ll put them here when I bring them,” Ron said pointing to the side. “Cya Harry.”

I have a post coming up soon, but typing is quite hard with a broken finger so it might take me time. I managed to type this up, so I should be able to do the post.

The great hall had been decorated for the end of year feast; banners were hung above each house table. Students were celebrating as another year of studies had ended. The staff table was full, and so was a table which was placed on the side. On that were a couple of people Harry recognised, and a few he didn’t. One man who Harry saw was Severus Snape, another was Sirius Black. Both men were giving each other death looks but Harry knew that nothing could destroy the men’s bond. Remus Lupin was sat at the table with Tonks and they were chatting whilst Tonks kept bursting into laughter.

As Harry walked into the hall he felt pain on his ankles. He wasn’t surprised though, he had been lying down for almost a month and now he was trying to walk. He managed to get to the Gryffindor table without falling and took a seat near Hermione, Ron and Ginny. They all stopped talking when they saw Harry arrive, and got up hugging him.

They took it in turns and were done in a few seconds when the headmaster coughed rather loudly.

He had appeared behind Harry and shook his hand. He was smiling, something which hadn’t been seen before.
“Harry, it’s great to see you back on your feet.” He said, looking at the boy.

“Thanks Professor.” Harry looked towards the table where Snape was sat. “Why is he here?” He pointed at Snape.

“He is here because he helped defeat the Death Eaters, and I would prefer it if you called him Severus.” Orios looked up to the table and saw Professor McGonagall eying him. “Excuse me Harry, I must go and deliver the end of year speech.” He took off and went into the middle of the staff table, where his seat was.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to tell you that this year of Hogwarts has ended.” A bunch of first years cheered. “Over the year, there have been some, occurrences. But these have been dealt with and Hogwarts is now as safe as it ever was.”

“However, just because some odd events have been happening, doesn’t mean that the usual school celebrations will not go on. So I present the house cup, to,” He clapped his hands and red and gold banners fell from the high ceiling, “Gryffindor!”

The hall erupted into cheers as the Gryffindors clapped and whistled, shouting things like, “Go, Go, Gryffindor.” Orios moved his hand and they all fell to silence. “Congratulations, congratulations. Although this was very close, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. You were joint second at 429 points.” He didn’t say anything about Slytherin, as barely any had started this term.

“And now, as my words come to a close. I would like to say good bye to you all. It has been a marvellous year, where I have learnt so much from you,” at this he looked at Harry and winked. “But I joined for a year, and I will hold that. So may I please introduce the new Headmistress of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Professor McGonagall.”

The students in the hall rose, clapping hard as Minerva McGonagall moved into the central position and Orios had joined the team from the Order.

“Thank you, thank you. All I have to say is tuck in!” She said as a thousand different meals appeared on plates. The seventh year students began their final Hogwarts meal.

The meal was great, as Harry and Ron tried a bit of everything and Hermione began talking about the house elves. After a minute of being convinced by Harry and Ron she began to eat the marvellous food.

It felt like a year as they sat at the table talking about their Hogwarts memories.
“And the troll, which I beat up,” Ron said, “Bit like Crabbe and Goyle.”
“Troll Bogeys,” both Harry and Ron began laughing.

The night fell as memories of the castle were told to Ginny, Luna and a few others which had joined the Gryffindor table. Most people had returned to their common rooms, but Harry and the rest sat there talking.

It was the last night at Hogwarts, they would make it special.

It is sad to think that's their last year at school. *sighs* But I always imagined the end of term is sad. It was for me back when I was in school ... now in Uni it's not so much because I don't have school friends there ... Hmm. Anyways, yeah, I thought you captured that rather prettily there. Jo just seems to say it about Harry and only in passing at the end of the books but I mean ... he should be really sad by the end of the book because he won't see his friends over the summer but this being the end of school as we know it for them ... ZOMG!!! Talk about total sadness :sad:

Anyways, you're story is still going good Ali, I'm just really gonna miss it. So ... take it slow okay? LOL seriously, wait until your fingers better, and SS crashing in the middle of a long post ... Heylo. I've been meaning to post, but today I woke up with sore eyes and a buggy nose, and staring at screens just ain't working for me. So I can't really stare at the PC for too long. I'll get the replies and post done as soon as all this clears up.

I'm sorry you're sick Ali, but don't worry about posting or replies or anything. I hope you feel better. I know all about being sick ... it's no fun. Besides, the first thing you should do is go take a look at the new Ootp pics. I really like Luna, it's everyone else, but especially Neville, who's haircuts I can't stand. I swear, and it's barely Neville's first appearance. And where's Seamus. *sighs* He was in the D.A. ... even if it was just at the end ... *sighs* Post when you can Ali, hope you get better.

A few hours later...

Aw, thanks Ottery. I'm all better now, being sick smells, 'specially when water is rolling from your eyes, 24/7. The OotP pictures are interesting, but I really don't like the Harry ones. Maybe I need time to get used to his short hair, but hmm. The DA pics are awesome, Nevilles hair is amusing. Maybe Seamus will be in the film, You know what the film-makers are like.

Okay, so I've said above. I'm all better now, and have a post in the making. I'm trying to cut down the deaths which won't be happening, but some big deaths will have to not take place. Now lets let the replies roll on. Happy? I mean, yes. Happy, the perfect end to any story but this one Am I bluffing, you'll never know...until I finish. Neither do I, I say that we go on strike. Against the writers, so they keep writing forever. *notices I'm the writer* Urm, well, everything that starts has to end. Aww, I really don't want to end this year at school because it's my last with some of my friends. Then I'll be all alone, *starts to sing the song Donkey sang in Shrek* Um, yar. But then again, Jo mainly focuses on his school activities. I've been a bit weird with that, switching the PoV, sometimes writing stuff without Harry. *pokes self* A coincidence or what...I was just replying to your fic, and it was a rather long post so I decided I'd copy it just in case, and guess what. SS crashed. It's just so , *ahem* back to the fic now. It is, the end is near, I can see it with my eyes... Nope, that's the space bar. I may be writing another HP fic, depends on which prologue I chose. I have an evil one planned, and a good one. It all depends, because the evil one would make sense with the stuff that I've been dropping in the fic for me to do a sequel. But it'd probably be non-fictionnon-canon.


Yurp, and double yurp. If I remember correctly I said I had 2 posts left. These don't include the epilogue, so I have to make a go of it. Post will hopefully be up tonight, now I have to catch up on some History work.

Okay, maybe two more because I did something in this which I was not supposed to. You'll notice at the end.


The sun of July shone through the windows as birds were chirping cheerfully. The warm four poster beds seemed to be ever so comfortable as the Gryffindor boys slowly woke up one by one.
Harry, the first to wake up had sat upright for a few seconds, and then melted back into the bed. He was soon awakened by Ron who woke up a few minutes later. After a long 20 minutes, all the boys were up and talking about their last day.
“I really want to play quidditch,” Neville said. Harry and Ron hid a laugh as they remembered the last time they saw Neville Longbottom on a broomstick.

Getting out of bed and dressed took another few minutes, and they were all on their way down to the common room where many students of all years were sat chattering. Some were happy, and some were sad. A few first years were running round the place, as usual and Hermione and Ginny were sat near the windows leading to the magnificent grounds of the Hogwarts castle.

“Morning, Ginny, Hermione.” Harry said joining the two girls. He sat on the window ledge and placed his hand on the glass. The warm glass heated his fingers and he felt like he was in bed all over again.

“Morning Harry, Ron,” both girls said. Hermione looked at Ron, then at Harry, then the common room. Seven years, she had spent here. Working, laughing, crying, this place truly was a home away from home.

“Do you guys want to go to the hall?” She asked, looking back at the guys and Ginny.

“Yeah, I think we should.” Harry said jumping off the ledge and onto his feet. Ron let out a yawn and all four of them exited the portrait of the fat lady.

They arrived at the common room to see it full of joy, as plates of food were scattered everywhere, being emptied every so often by students feasting on the morning delights.

Harry and Ron served themselves a healthy portion of everything, including pancakes, toast and jam whilst the girls had a slice of bread each.

“’ermione,” Ron said whilst swallowing a pancake. “You need to try some of this stuff before we go.” He now poured himself some pumpkin juice. “It’s bloody brilliant.”

Hermione looked at him for a moment, and then at the plate which was full. She bit her tongue, and then gave in, under one condition. “Only if Ginny eats some as well.”

Five minutes later all four of them were munching of the breakfast delights of Hogwarts when Neville and Luna joined them.

After twenty minutes of eating, they all walked outside and decided to visit Hagrid one last time. The cabin was darker than its usual colour, but it was as homely as ever. Harry knocked three times and waited for Hagrid to answer.

Leaving school really is bittersweet. Well I mean back then ... it means growing up, and leaving old familiar things behind, and *is getting all philosophical* it's painful, because Uni isn't ever the same way, the same thing, you'll never have those days back, of innocence and laughter ... *Teddy smacks Ottery because he's putting Ali and everyone else to sleep* Sorry I miss being a kid. *sniffles* I wanna be ten again.

I like your descriptiveness Ali. Ron yawning harry jumping ... things happen, I like that. I miss doing that ... I think drabbles have made me all dialogue happy LOL

As always you get Ron perfectly. *madglomps the Ron* He's too cute. Seriously, and you write him so well ... *sighs* most people don't get Ron they just think he's there for comic relief, but he's Harry's best mate, his wingman, who you'd turn too if the whole world were after you. We should all have someone like that ... *sniffles* Instead Teddy tries to kill me everytime we disagree ...

N/L is the loves ♥. I really like Luna too ... I mean film Luna, I think they got the perfect actress Evana is so cute and perfect, she just looks Luna. *Sighs* but why did they have to get rid of the Quidditch? *whines* Anyways, *fires the cannons for the D.A.*

It's sad but *sniffles* I was getting ready for school and I realized, then, the next book IS the last one ... no new Harry Potter adventures. How sad ... and it's the same way with your story Ali. *sniffles* I hope you write another HP story someday. But yeah, winding things down I see ... I think I'd miss Hagrid too ... well don't mind my earlier outburst LOL I was just surprised you'd posted story. I like being the first one here when I can ... To show my loyalty. *growls* Back when I can Ali, post when you can.

Hey guys, No post for now, just a question. I want you guys to vote for which ending you'll be getting, either the evil or good ending. I'll probably end up posting the other one before I lock the thread, but for now. You can probably guess which one will lead up to another book.

Anyways... Which one do you guys want to see???

Heh heh...the ending doesn't really matter to me, as long as it's good. Happy ending sounds nice, though!

I have to admit, I'd rather the happy ending ... unless picking the sad ending means you'll write a sequel *hopes* but I know you're busy with school so ... maybe the happy ending and then you can just start another fic with disaster LOL
