After the Valentines ball, things had returned back to normal. Lockhart had disappeared, and Animagi lessons were getting even better. If only things were going as well in Transfiguration.
Professor McGonagall had been trying to get the group to turn a coffee table into a television and then into a cat. This was expected to turn up in the N.E.W.T.s so McGonagall stressed that they must master the spell.
Harry had been practicing for 10 minutes and had managed to turn the table top into the television screen. He was stuck everywhere else and was about to give hope when something happened.

As he was trying to transform the television into a cat, 2 house elves had appeared. They were not supposed to appear unless they had news so Harry jumped at the sight of them.
“Kreacher, what’s happened?” Harry said getting Hermione and Ron.
“Master, we have it. We have it,” Dobby said. “Found it, we have.”
“Professor!” Hermione said loudly.
“Yes Ms. Granger?”
“May we go to the headmaster, it’s about the search.” She said.
“Of Course, go quick. This may be it!” She said opening the door and hurrying them out.

They walked towards the office listening to Dobby and Kreacher tell them about the locket.

”So I says we finds it here. And we did.” Dobby said.

As they arrived at the gargoyle entrance, Harry clearly said golden whizbees. But nothing happened.
“That was the password,” Harry said. “I’m sure it was.”
“What else could it be?” Ron said looking at the door.

“What’s going on?” The headmaster shouted. He was on his way to his office and saw a group of 3 people and 2 elves.
”Sir, we’ve got it!” Harry said. “They say they’ve found it.”
”Applebees,” Orios said as the gargoyle swung open. “Tell me,” he said walking into his office and taking a seat at his desk.
“They were checking the old boxes, in the attic. One of them had a Black Family seal. When they managed to open it, it had loads of things about Lord Voldemort, and a golden locket. It seems that the box was sealed after Sirius’ death.” Harry said.
“Meaning that there is a mole inside the Order?” Orios said.
“Or that the ministry are trying to cover something up.” Hermione said.
“What?” Orios said loudly, looking confused.
“The ministry could access Grimmauld Place. All with the help of someone who abandoned my family.” Ron said. “He didn’t know what he was doing. After all, my mum did say the ministry only put Percy in Fudge’s office to spy on us. This way he did worse.”
”How do you know this?” The headmaster said.
“He has been sending Ginny letters about what he has to do with the ministry. She told me a few days ago about one particular letter where he had to hide some things from the Black’s house. Looking at what Dobby and Kreacher said earlier, I guess it explains everything.”
“Good, good. You have done this well but we have a problem.” Professor Orios said. “I have not been told where Grimmauld Place is, and as its secret keeper is dead therefore I can not enter it.”

I've only just realised I hadn't posted. I feel bad, blame it on my teachers. Giving me work in school, but not all is bad. I won a footie shirt today, whee!
Anyway, not long till the end of this fic, so. Without further ado.

I swear I posted this, *blames it on the million guests looking at the news*

At that moment, someone in the background said something. On the wall, there was a portrait hanging which belonged to Albus Dumbledore, secret keeper of number 12 Grimmauld Place.

“Perfect.” Orios said as he walked towards the portrait. After a moment, the portrait revealed the location of the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.

“It looks like we are ready to go.” The head master said pulling a tub of floo powder out.

They slowly walked into the flames, one by one. The headmaster waited until the end and pulled a beast shaped pendant which hung around his neck. He then stepped into the fire and began to spin.

Harry had fallen into the drawing room along with Ron and Hermione. Just before the headmaster arrived, the kids heard some noises from the second floor. It couldn’t be the house elves because they were not at the house yet.
“Wands,” Harry muttered pulling his own wand out. Hermione and Ron copied him, aiming their wands at an average wizards head height.
“Lumos.”

Just before they were about to step out of the room, Professor Orios stepped in with Remus Lupin. They both stared at the kids who had their wands out.
“What’s going on? Why are your wands out?” Remus said looking at them slowly retracting his own wand from his pocket.
“We heard noises.” Ron said. “Upstairs. From the room where Dobby said the locket was.”
“You gotta be kidding,” Orios said pulling his wand out and walking in a slow stealth style out of the room.
He motioned his finger to the left and Remus walked to the side. Pulling a clenched fist to the ground, Lupin swooped into the room with his wand aimed high.
Just as they walked into the room, two bodies disappeared.
“Expelliarmus,” Orios said launching the spell at the cloaked figure, but as the body disappeared, the spell shot into an old cabinet. And with that, the portrait of Mrs Black began to scream various insults.
“Can’t you shut that up?” Ron said.
“We can try,” Lupin said. “Quietus.”

It hit the portrait but it made things worse and the portrait screamed louder.

“Great!” Orios said sarcastically. “The quicker we get this done, the quicker we get out of here. Dobby, where is the locket?”
“In this box sir…” His voice trailer off as he noticed that the box had been locked shut again. “Master, We opened this yesterdays. Those other men opened it. And closed it. No! What if they takes some things we need?” Dobby said.
“We have no choice, we need to find it. And get it, now.” Lupin said.

They reached a pile of overturned boxes when Dobby began hopping up and down.
“Sir, I have found it. It’s here, the box.” Kreacher said.

great post! though i can't really see Kreacher hopping up and down....but it's yer world so i guess anything can happen! lol

Thanks for noticing that, *gives you a choccy bar*. Yeah, I doubt Kreacher would even smile, never mind jump up and down.

I don't think it's the right box. I think the death eaters put a different box in the original's place. Did the death eaters steal the Horcrux? PAMSOID!

Oh, very good. . . but something tells me that something horribly wrong is going ot happen. And I'm sorry but I don't trust that Headmaster at all. And Kreacher boucing with joy, another hmm. . . He pulled out a black wooden box with a wax seal of the family of Black. It had a golden hinge on the side and was engraved with a green circle. Kreacher handed the box over to Harry who tried to open it. As he put his hand on the box, his scar began to burn more than ever before. He slapped his hand onto his face and dropped the box, hearing something rattle inside.
“What was that?” Hermione asked.
“It sounded like a chain.” Ron said picking the box up and looking closer at the seal.
“Look at this,” Ron said, pointing at something which was inside the green circle. “It looks like a flame.”
“Which means what?” Lupin said. “Unless…”
“What?” Orios said.
“Maybe we need to open the box by setting it alight.” Lupin said. “Kreacher, Dobby. Did you manage to open the box?”
“Yes, sir. But it won’t open now; we tried when we picked it up.”
“Okay then, here goes. Flagrate.”

He moved his wand onto the box as a fiery line spread on the box and set it alight. The wax seal began to melt, revealing a small pouch and the green circle began glowing.

“It’s working,” Lupin said watching the green circle.”
“Look,” Harry said pointing out the pouch. He put his fingers into it, avoiding the flames and pulled out a silver chain with a pendent. The pendent resembled a wolf and looked familiar to the one Orios had in his office.
“Put it on,” Professor Orios said. “Or hold it tightly in your palm. Look what happens.”

Harry placed the pendant into his hand and clenched his fist, trapping the pendant tightly. He suddenly felt a wave of heat in his hand and the next thing that happened was unexpected.
A small shadow of the pendant began to hover in mid-air when a real, life size version of it appeared. Standing in his human form, Sirius Black had appeared at his house.

“You’ve found the pendant, Harry,” Sirius said pushing some hair away from his face. “Another one of our ingenious creations. We made one for each of us, but mine disappeared during the summer of my seventh year.
Look at that flame!” He said pointing at the green ring of fire.

Lupin waved his wand at the box and the flames went out. “Harry, do you want to open it?”
“Sure,” Harry said going to open the box. As it opened, he saw a few objects. There was a few pictures, a note and a smaller box.

Sirius slowly reached for the picture and nearly fell to his knees. He couldn’t believe who was in the picture.
“When I was five, we took a photograph of the whole family, before some went off to join the dark lord. I thought that the picture had been destroyed, but…it’s here.”
Sirius looked like he had seen a ghost and turned a pale shade of white.

Meanwhile, Harry was taking the note out of the box. He clenched it in his fist and didn’t want to read it. He didn’t want to remember the death of Dumbledore. He wanted to stay away from that night, with no memories of failing.

I am pleased you have found this. The soul of the dark lord rests here. I had to do these puzzles to make sure the one who found it was loyal and true.
Now you have proven yourself to me, but if I may ask one final thing,
To open the box, seal it lots. And then split it as the witches hump.

I hope you may solve this. As my trail ends, I leave this, to fix the damage inflicted on the world.

ZOMG! Can you tell this is like my favorite post EVER It's too cute Ali ... Ron finally got up the nerve to ask her w00t! You just know he would, I mean I think JKR's been pushing this tooooooooo long, I mean, we all know Hermione would say yes at the drop of a hat, she's been waiting for ever. Which is why she was all in HBP going "I was going to ask you ..."

I loved all of that Ali, you're too good with this story, but I get the feeling you're going to have people show up with wands and there's going to be a big fight at the Valentine's Day Ball and where's Lockhart, I think he's goofy but you've got to love him.

Quarterman rocks. He's a big version of Hagrid, and Hagrid rocks even more. Quarter-man. D'ja get it? That was one of my favourite sections in the story, with them outside. I wrote it whilst I was in an airport.
