Everything was dark. Hermione awoke later to the sound of moaning. She was flat on her back. She groaned, and turned on her side. Her face met Harry's. He was the one moaning. She reached out to him.
"Harry....what happened?" Harry moaned.
"I think some of my teeth are missing...how are you?"
"Um...I'm not sure."
Hermione got up shakily, then helped Harry up. Harry started shaking.
"What's wrong?"
"I...I need a smoke. Badly." Hermione looked at him in shock.
"WHAT? Are you telling me you're using...drugs?"
Harry looked at her, ashamed, then went into one of the pockets of his coat, and began to pull out a cigarette. Hermione slapped it out of his hand.
"Hermione!"
"No Harry! No drugs! I can't believe you! I'm leaving!"
"Well, aren't you Little Miss Perfect! I can't believe you're telling me how to run my life, and you're the one who left her fiance!"
Harry turned. Hermione stared at him, her mouth gaping.
"I...I..." Hermione tried to speak, but she fell silent.
"Forget it Hermione. I think you're stuck with this old junkie."
"What do you mean? I can leave you, you know-" Hermione started to say, but Harry then cut her off.
"Why would Draco want you back? You left him, remember?" Harry spat at her. Hermione remained silent. She didn't want to believe it. But Harry was right.
What if....Draco didn't want her anymore?
Short, yes, I'm sorry, but maybe I can give you more later

Draco had locked himself up in his room. He wouldn't come out, not to eat, not to talk, not anything. He just stayed in his room. Kit wanted him to come out.
"Ron, why doesn't he come out?" Kit was pacing the room.
"I dunno Kit. Just leave him alone."
"It's unhealthy. I'm going up there." Kit started up the stairs, and Ron tried to stop her.
"No Kit, leave him be." Kit shook him off, and went up the stairs.
She cautiously knocked on Draco's door. She heard a muffled, 'what?'
"It's me, Kit. Open the door."
"No."
"Please Draco...for me?"
The door opened. Kit gasped at what she saw.
Papers were everywhere. Letters from Hermione were strewn across the room. Draco's owl was perched on his head. Notebooks full of wedding plans were all in a corner of the room. Draco looked terrible. His face was drawn and haggard. There were dark circles under his eyes. He looked skinnier than ever.
"Oh Draco..." Kit ran to him and hugged him fiercely. Draco made a half hearted attempt to return it, but his arms fell limply to his sides. "Draco...I'm sure Hermione will come back."
"But what if she doesn't?" Draco lifted his head in sorrow. "What if she want's to stay with Potter...forever?"
"I'm sure it won't come to that." Kit pulled him up onto his feet. "Let's go downstairs, hm?"
She led Draco down the stairs, where Ron was waiting. She sat Draco down on the couch. There was a knock at the door.

Hermione left Harry later that day. She struggled to find her way home. After a few hours, she found the right road, and walked all the way back home. Before she reached the mansion, she hesitated.
What if Draco really didn't want her back?
"Oh, to hell with it." She muttered to herself, and walked the rest of the way. She knocked on the door.
*****
Ron opened the door to find...Hermione??
"Hermione!" Ron cried out, and hugged her. Hermione hugged him back, then stepped back a bit.
"Where's Draco?"
Ron led her to the couch where Draco was. Kit looked relieved to see Hermione.
"Draco...there's someone here to see you."
Draco lifted his head up and saw her.
"Hermione..." Hermione ran to him and flung her arms around him.
"Oh Draco...I missed you so much! I love you, I love you, I love you! Please say' you'll have me back, and we can get married! I'll do whatever you want! Only please, say you love me..?"
"You know...I do."
"Love me..." Hermione whispered softly, "...that's all I ask of you..."
