Kit had promised to keep it a secret, but no secret lasts forever...
Kit and Ron were at their apartment. They had been living together after they left Hogwarts, and Kit tried to keep it clean while Ron went to work to support it. After she had left Hermione's, she had been distraght and uneasy. Also preoccupied. It didn't take long for Ron to notice.
"Kit?" Ron sat down next to her on their small couch. They didn't have much, but what they did have was enough.
"Yes?" Kit smiled at her love, and Ron put his arm around her.
"Have you been felling alright? You've been...off lately. Not yourself. Now I know you're xcited about Hermione's wedding, but you have to understand: I can't afford a large one, so-"
"Oh Ron, it has nothing to do with that. Really." She kissed Ron and laughed at his thought.
"Then what is it?"
"I....can't tell you."
"Why not?" Ron leaned in, serious. Kit turned away. "Kit..." She faced him. "I have to know what's wrong."
"It's nothing, really."
"You're not keeping secrets from me, are you?"
"When was the last time you saw Harry?" Kit shot the question at Ron with force. Ron looked surprised, then thoughtful.
"About....3 weeks ago, at a muggle bar. Why?"
"Because...he's....he was...." Kit stopped. " I told her I wouldn't tell."
"Kit," Ron touched her chin and turned her head to face him. "You need to tell me. What didn't this girl want me to know?"
"Not you....Draco..."
"What? Does this have to do with Hermione? Kit, you tell me right now!"
"Harry...attacked her at that muggle bar a few days ago."
"What?" Ron gasped, and half got up out of his seat. "What are you saying Kit?"
"Not really, more like...um...he was..."
"Feeling her up? Is that what you're saying?" Ron was red now, his ears were a bright red. Kit sighed and nodded. "Why that...."
Ron got up and went over to his owl cage.
"Ron? What are you doing?"
"I'm writing a letter."
"Not to Draco?!" Kit sprang up from her chair, and ran to Ron.
"Yes to Draco. Stop it Kit! I have to tell him!"
"No! Hermione didn't want you to know! Hell, she didn't even want me to know! But she trusts me Ronald! If you tell Draco, then Draco will know! And Hermione will know that I went back on my word!"
Ron turned to Kit.
"Kit...I can't let Harry abuse Hermione like this. And if you really cared for Hermione, you won't stop me. I don't think it's possible for something like that to blow over. At least not right away. And I'm leaving."
Ron Apparated out of the house, and Kit slumped to the floor, tears pouring down her face.

And where was Harry during all of this, you ask? Why, Harry was walking down Draco and Hermione's block...drunk as a skunk. He was muttering to himself.
"...gonna get my girl back....gonna get my girl back..."
And I'm gonna leave you with that!

"You b*st*rd." Draco growled, and punched him in the gut. Harry crumpled to the ground, still in his drunken state. From outside, Draco could hear Hermione's shrieks, but he refused to listen.
"Draco, stop now!" Ron tried to grab hold of Draco's arm, but he was too strong. He pulled away from Ron and began to pummel Harry.

Ron came running up the steps to his large mansion. Draco came out, grinning.
"Hey Ron, what's-"
"Draco! Hold on! Kit just told me something important, something that I think you should know." Ron stopped to catch his breath. Draco led him inside. Hermione smiled when she saw them.
"Hi Ron, what's up?"
"Hermione, dear, why don't you go and send for Kit? She'll keep you company."
"Company? For what?" Hermione looked puzzled.
"Hermione, not now..." Draco muttered under his breath, and Hermione sighed and walked away. Draco sat Ron down on one of his couches. "Now, what's the matter with Kit?"
"It's not with Kit, it's with Hermione." Draco's face went from easy-going to worried.
"H-Hermione? What's wrong?" His face went even paler. Ron stopped him with his hand.
"And Harry." Draco's face changed from pale to red.
"What's with Hermione and Harry?"
Ron quickly filled Draco in. Draco began to get angry. He clenched his fists.
"Why that miserable scumbag! When I get my hands on him, I'll-"
"Mr. Draco, look, it's Mr. Harry, sir!" One of Draco's house-elves had looked out the window. Draco sprang up as Kit and Hermione came down the stairs. He brushed past them and out the door.
Hermione jumped out of his way. "Ron, what's gotten into him?"
"I'm afraid we're about to find out." Ron said, and ran out the door. Hermione and Kit started to follow, but Draco magically locked the door.
"Draco! Let me out!" Hermione yelled, and her and Kit banged on the door.
"Come here, you miserable piece of sh*t." Draco snarled, and went for Harry. Harry, while drunk, made a hapazard bow.
"Well, look, it's Mishter Malfoy." He slurred. Draco punched him in his chin. He heard Hermione cry out.
"Draco, no, don't hurt him!" Hermione cried from the front window.
"You b*st*rd." Draco growled, and punched him in the gut. Harry crumpled to the ground, still in his drunken state. From outside, Draco could hear Hermione's shrieks, but he refused to listen.
"Draco, stop now!" Ron tried to grab hold of Draco's arm, but he was too strong. He pulled away from Ron and began to pummel Harry. Ron could here both girls screaming then, and pulled out his wand.
"Mobilarus Corpus" He spoke, and Draco and Harry were separated. Harry was no longer as drunk. The pain was beginning to settle in. Ron looked at both of them. "Now...stop it. Let's handle this like men, please?"
Draco spat at Harry. "You leave my bride alone, or not even Ron can save you. Is that clear, Potter?" Draco got up and went back to the house, without waiting for a reply. Harry groaned.
"What happened...Ron?"
"Harry, you have to let Hermione go...she's with Draco now."
"...never...." And Harry got up slowly, and walked away.
Whew, hope that had enough action in it for all of you!

AHH, I LOVE DRAMA!
Hmm...violence is not the answer, but I suppose it's the best way Draco could handle it...
Good gourd...Harry is stubborn...
I don't think I would have taken that very well if my fiance had locked me in the kitchen so he could go beat up one of my best friends who was drunk and had made a move on me. But Hermione took it pretty well!
Loved it, and PAMS SOOON!

Draco went inside the house, and shut the door. Suddenly, he felt very weak, and sank to his knees. Ron put a supportive arm around him. They sat there, together, for a few moments, while Draco gathered himself. He started to mumble.
"...my best man, Ron, I just beat up one of my best men."
"Draco, if he was doing those things to Hermione, then he's definitely not your best man. I can't believe or support the things he did, and I'm his best mate. Things like this can tear friends apart-"
"YOU!" Hermione flung open the kitchen door. "Why the hell did you do that to him? You MONSTER!" She threw punches at Draco, and he was too weak from lack of adrenaline to resist. Ron and Kit had to pull her off him. She burst into tears and clung to Ron.
"Hermione...please..." Draco tried to get up, but Hermione pushed him back down.
"Hermione, c'mon girl, let him up." Kit helped Draco up off the floor. Hermione refused to look at him.
"Hermione....I did what I had to do..."
"You're...a....monster." Hermione stated fiercely. Kit rolled her eyes.
"They know Hermione." Hermione stopped at Kit's words. She took her face out of Ron's shoulder.
"Wh...what? But how-"
"You could say a little birdie told me." Ron said, and Hermione pulled away from Ron. She stared at all of them credulously.
"Are you saying...that I can't trust....any of you?" She stared in a daze. Draco pulled her into his arms. She didn't resist.
"'Mione...I love you. Did I ever tell you that?" Hermione nodded, still unbelieving. "Then you can understand why I reacted the way I did. If someone touches you in a way that I don't like, I have to react. Do you understand?"
Hermione nodded and pulled away.
"And you must understand that the same holds true for me, right?"
Draco nodded.
"Then it's final. THE WEDDING IS OFF."
And Hermione was out the door.

Hermione raced out the door of Draco's house, crying. How could Draco beat up one of her best friends? Harry had been there for her since the beginning, had been her loyal friend, even her boyfriend for awhile. And Draco had only been there for her since...what, last year? This was unbelievable. She owed it to Harry to stick by him. Even if it meant getting rid of Draco.
"Harry!" Harry turned and swept Hermione into his arms.
"...hermione..hermione...." He spoke softly, and stroked her hair. Her tears left spots on his shirt, but she didn't care. She was with Harry again.
"Oh Harry, I'm so sorry. For Draco, for leaving you, even for your drinking...I'm sorry......I'm so sorry."
"Hermione, it's ok. Living with Draco changed you. But we can make it bettter. Please, come live with me."
Hermione hesitated, and looked back at the house. Draco and Kit were at the window, Kit's hand was on his shoulder. She turned back to Harry.
"Yes." And the two of them ran off.

Draco watched them leave with an overbearing sadness. The love of his life, his whole world, was leaving with a drunkard. Despite him being her best friend, Draco didn't trust him. Not at all.
"C'mon Draco, she'll be back. Sooner or later, she'll realize that the Harry she knew once doesn't exist. At least...now anymore." Kit led Draco up to his room. As she shut the door, one of his house-elves came waddling up to her.
"Is Mr. Draco sleepings, miss?"
"Yes Simone, and you must take care of him. He's...not well."

Hermione and Harry went back to the city. They walked around the city, Harry trying to show Hermione the things she had been missing. They got drunk. Very drunk. After they left the last bar, Harry was trying to walk Hermione home, and both started laughing when they realized that she didn't have a home.
"-hiccup-'Mione, why don't we head on over to my place." They stumbled to Harry's flat. Hermione couldn't stop giggling.
As they walked to the building, Hermione was grabbed and flung into an alleyway. Harry fell on top of her.
"What the f-?"
"Oh look! It's The Boy Who Lived! And I guess that's his little sl*t!"
Hermione heard two men laughing roughly at them. She didn't feel drunk anymore. She felt two hands on her, and everything went gray.
