Dear Diary,
It feels so great to be in Harry's arms at long last. Sure, Lavender was sore for awihle. You'd expect that, but I never thought she'd get a transfer out of Hogwarts...

Breakfast was going on in the Great Hall. Kit was visiting the Gryffindor table to hang out with her new friends. SHe was sitting in Ron's lap, and Ron was talking to Harry. Hermione was stroking his hair, mussing it up occasionally. Hermione turned to Pavarti.

"Where's Mal-...Draco?"

"Over at the Slytherin table. He can't see me in public. He's afraid people with hurt me or him. But I think he's embarassed to be seen with an....Indian girl."

Hermione gasped, then caught herself.

"Pavarti, don't talk like that. I'm sure he loves you. But he's right. What if something happens to you? He'll never forgive himself." Pavarti got up from the table.

"I don't know Hermione.....I just don't know." Then she left, her bookbag swinging gently over her shoulder. Hermione growled, and went back to stroking Harry's hair.

"OUCH! 'Mione, what gives hun?"

"Oh, I'm sorry Harry....but Pavarti's got me so mad." Harry looked around.

"Where is Pavarti?"

"She ran off, because she doesn't think Draco loves her, because he won't see her in public." Kit and Ron turned from each other to join the conversation.

"I think she's worrying too much. I'm sure Mal-....Draco....loves her very much. Why won't he see her in public?"

"Because he's afraid that she'll get hurt, right?" Ron rubbed Kit's back, looking thoughtful.

"Yea, but she's got herself all wound up. We should talk to her."

"And Draco as well. Get the story from both sides." Harry patted Hermione on the back, then got up. "We should try it later. At dinner, let's see who got the word, ok?"

"I'll talk to Draco." Ron said. "He might talk back to me."

"I'll try to calm Pavarti down. Why don't you help me Kit?"

"Alright Hermione. Let's see what we can do."

The four of them went off to their classes.

The nerve! Draco--Parvati-- cuz she's Indian? Oh, she is soo stupid! She ought to be proud to be Indain [look at avvie ] Idoit!
Like anyone would go near Malfoy! Chances are he could kill someone, and Parvati can definatly protect herself, I mean, it's just a bunch of little school children, in which she is the upper classmenship.
*shakes head and grumbles* You know, if that was me, I think that Draco had better be carful of not getting--be afarid that I would hurt him. I would do that.

Dear Diary,
I can't believe Pavarti is acting like this. Sure, we all don't really know Draco, but he seems genuine and capable of love. We'll just have to find out...

Ron and Harry went through the hallway, looking for Ron's schedule.

"Bloody hell! The one day we need them, we don't have one class with Slytherin! And why the hell not?"

"Ron, we'll just have to look for him on our own. If we don't have the Slytherins, then Hufflepuff must have them, 'cause we have Ravenclaw." Ron brightened.

"I'll get Kit to talk to him! Where is she?"

"With Hermione. They're looking for Pavarti." Ron thought hard.

"They're probably either in the Common Room, or at class. Which is," he glanced at the card, "Charms. So let's go."

They caught up with Hermione and Pavarti.

"Where's Kit?" Ron asked, looking around.

"She had to go to class. I told her to try to find Draco."

"Good job 'Mione." Harry said, and put an arm around Hermione. She glowed. Ah Harry....so graceful....so handsome....so....perfect-

"Uh, Hermione?" Everyone was looking at her. She glared at them.

"WHAT?"

"Nothing...um....class."

Kit had to run to Herbology. She tarried too long with Hermione, calming down Pavarti. At least she could talk to Draco. She spotted him at the end of the crowd, with Crabbe and...ugh....Goyle. She grimiced, then called to him.

"Dr-...I mean...Malfoy!" Malfoy whirled around. Recognition sprang into his eyes, but was pushed aside with an old sneer.

"Oh look, it's the Hufflepuff. What do you want, scum-bag?"

"Oh nothing, except to get out of my way, and be my partner today, we have to talk!" She muttered to him, and shoved him out of the way. Anger flared up, but by then, she was inside, and he had no choice but to follow her. He sindled next to her.

"What's the big idea?"

"First, get me my Angora plant." Kit started to take the wool off the plant. "Pavarti's sick." Malfoy paled.

"What does she have? Is she alright? Is she with Madam Pomfrey? What can I do?"

"Alright, good. I lied. I just needed to check something for her. Hand me that pail." Malfoy handed it to her.

"What?"

"Pavarti's thinking that you don't really love her. And that you don't really want to date her. She's embarassed, because....she thinks it's because she's Indian." Malfoy turned beet-red.

"You did tell her that that was alot of bullsh*t, didn't you? That of course I love her?"

"Yes-"

"And did you also tell her that people would flip if they found out that we were together?" His voice was getting steadily louder. Kit looked around nervously. People were starting to stare. She pulled out her wand.

"Silencio!" She whispered, and Malfoy was silent. Work continued. "I'm sorry." She performed the counter-curse. Malfoy growled, then continued with his work.

"I'm sorry, but....I don't want to lose her, but she has to see....I don't want her to get hurt."

"I understand Draco." The bell rang. Malfoy whispered to Kit.

"Watch out for her, and tell her that I love her, ok?"

"I will." Kit mumbled.

Dear Diary,
Pavarti is so thick-headed! She's determined that Draco doesn't really like her. Sooner or later, I'm just going to explode!

"NO!"

"Yes Pavarti, that's what he said. You have to do this."

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

Pavarti wailed again. A huge textbook lay in front of Hermione and Pavarti. Rolls of parchment lay before them. Hermione's wand was out.

"Learn it!"

"Infirmite Braccia!" Hermione's wand arm lay there, unbroken.

"You're not concentrating!"

"Well, it's kinda hard when you're boyfriend hates you!" Hermione got up, her chair tipping over. Pavarti looked up at her, frightened.

"HE DOESN'T HATE YOU! GET OVER YOURSELF! DID IT EVER OCCUR TO YOU TO SIMPLY.....ASK HIM???"

Pavarti got up. She slammed the textbook closed.

"I don't need this from you Hermione." And with that, she ran out the door. Hermione swore, and followed her, a few moments later.
