Dear Diary,
I still can't believe Harry. There must be something wrong. Harry never liked Lavender before, and he was even disgusted at hers and Ron's behavior 6th year. Something's up, and Pavarti and I are gonna find out...

"Pavarti, are you ready?"

"Yea, let's go." Hermione and Pavarti creeped along the 4th floor corridor. Class was in session, and they were trying to be as quiet as possible. They didn't want to run into Peeves. Hermione had spotted Lavender leave class 20 minutes ago. Pavarti had agreed to go with Hermione to see what was up.

"Where did she go?"

"Something about the bathroom."

"But the only bathroom over here is Moaning Myrtle's bathroom." Hermione stopped dead in the middle of the hallway, and Pavarti almost bashed into her.

"Oof! Hermione, what-"

"Moaning Myrtle. She's there."

"How do you know?"

"Follow me, and be quiet."

Hermione led Pavarti through the halls and into the bathroom. She opened the door quietly, and saw....Lavender. And she wasn't alone. Pavarti saw about five Ravenclaws with her, and one was.....Padma? Pavarti gasped, and Hermione elbowed her in the gut.

"Be quiet."

"Hermione, that's my sister!"

"I know. Shh!" For they had begun talking again.

"Diane, when is the potion going to be ready?" Lavender asked, while she stirred.

"A few more minutes. Then....Potter will be all yours." Diane giggled. "He's so handsome."

"Lay off sister, he's mine!" Lavender snickered.

"Why did you help Hermione then, if you wanted Potter?" Padma asked Lavender.

"Well, I was jealous of Hermione. She always gets to hang out with him, and I figure: She's had almost seven years to try and catch him. He's fair game. And I want him." Lavender acquired a mean glint in her eye.

"Well, isn't she going to be mad when he loves you for eternity, and not her?"

"Sure, but....that's the price of love." Lavender sighed dramatically, then all six girls laughed.

Hermione pulled her head out of the crack in the door. Pavarti followed after a minute. They heard the girls talk again.

"OK, now, all you need to do is slip this into something that you know Harry's going to eat or drink later. It doesn't matter, really. As long as Harry consumes it, he's going to totally fall in love with you."

"Thanks Maria." Lavender took the vial from the Asian girl, and smiled.

"Harry Potter, you will be mine forever and ever....till Death Do Us Part." Lavender stood up. Hermione and Pavarti ran away as fast as they could. They stopped outside the other girls lavatory, and Hermione's hands were balled into fists of rage.

"That sneak! That b*tch, that wh*re! I'm going to get her! I really am Pavarti!"

"First, let's get Harry, ok? Then we'll worry about Lavender."

Hermione nodded, and the two girls raced off as the bell rang.

Dear Diary,
Pavarti and I raced as fast as we could to Harry's next class. Pavarti's idea was to head him off, before Lavender got there. It wasn't a pretty sight when we told him...

Pavarti and Hermione ran to Care of Magical Creatures right after the bell rang. Harry was waiting outside the doors...presumably for Lavender. Hermione ran up to him, panting. Pavarti came up behind her. Harry gave them quizzical looks.

"Hermione? Pavarti? What's wrong?"

"Lavender is Harry." Hermione panted, trying desperatly to breathe. She turned to Pavarti. "Keep a look-out for her Pavarti." Pavarti ran off, and Hermione turned back to Harry.

"Lavender? What's wrong with her?"

"She...is....trying....to ...take you from me." Hermione put her hand over her mouth.

"Trying....to take you from me? Hermione, what are you talking about. How can she take what isn't mine?" Hermione flushed, but regained her composure.

"Pavarti and I overheard her talking to some Ravenclaws...in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. They were.....conjuring a very strong...and very illegal Love Potion. Lavender said she was going to use it on you....to make sure that you loved her, not me."

Harry gave Hermione a strange look. Then he relaxed.

"Hermione, I can understand if you're jealous-"

"Jealous! What? Why would I-"

"-And I can understand where you're coming from. But face it. I-Love-Lavender. She's the one. So please get off her case."

Pavarti rushed back, before Hermione could retort.

"Hermione, she's coming!"

"Harry," Hermione gave Harry a desperate look, "Harry, please listen to me. She doesn't love you the way I love you. Please understand....and don't eat or drink anything she gives you!" Hermione ran off with Pavarti as Lavender turned the corner.

Lavender turned the corner, and bashed into Malfoy. He was standing where Pavarti was, and Lavender's things scattered everywhere. So did Malfoys. They both scrambled to pick up their things.

"Watch it Brown! What did you think you were doing? Now my presents are all over the place!" They were. Malfoy grumbled about, "expensive pastries,' and "they have to be thrown out now," Lavender just sneered at him.

"Next time, wtch where you're standing, Malfoy." She walked over to Harry, who embraced her. He slipped an arm around her waist.

"Harry darling?"

"Yes dear?"

"When's lunch?"

"Not for awhile. Too bad too, I'm hungry." Lavender pulled out the pastry she was carrying.

"I hope Malfoy didn't get any of his germs on it when we collided."

Harry smiled, and bit into the pastry.

"It's good hun. Shall we go?"

"Yes we shall." Lavender grinned wickedly, and the two walked to Hagrids, arm-in-arm. Hermione came out from behind the door, groaning and crying.

"Pavarti, he ate it. He just had to eat it what do we do now?" Pavarti said nothing, but glanced off in another direction....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! he ate it! What was he thinking? Hermione is his best firend, why woudl she do something to harm Harry? The GIT, listen to Miss Know-It-All for ONCE!

Dear Diary,
I can't believe he ate it. What will we do now? This is UNACCEPTABLE! And I will not accept it! I won't! Pavarti has been quiet lately, and keeps 'running off' to see someone. I wish she'd tell me who...."

Pavarti turned the corner softly. It was pretty late out, and she was a little worried.

"Oh, he said he'd be right here!"

"Looking for me?" Pavarti jumped, and turned to face...Malfoy. She smiled.

"Yes, in fact I was." Malfoy grinned, not his usual smirk. Pavarti took this as a good sign. His arms went around her, and they hugged. Pavarti tilted her head back slightly, so they could talk.

"So did you find out what to do with this?" Malfoy took out a pastry. Pavarti shook her head.

"Harry does seem to be in love with her, but I do wonder if Padma had anything to do with that. She is rather good at whipping up love potions." Malfoy broke off, and sat down. He pulled Pavarti into his lap.

"Well, there is that possibility. But it was probably a small one, almost powerless. That one would just be the bridge to the real potion."

"What can we do Draco?" Pavarti began to stroke his hair. He tilted his head back, enjoying the feel of her hand on his head. Pavarti smiled as she saw him relax.

"Well, the way I see it, there's some steps we have to take. Step One: We did that, Tell Harry about Lavender. Step Two: Dispose of the muffin." And the two looked at the pastry. "Step Three, and possibly the most difficult.: Show Harry proof that Lavender doesn't really care about him. And Step Four: Get Harry and Hermione to go out." Pavarti rolled her eyes.

"Oh gee, can you make this plan any harder?"

"Don't worry hun, Hermione will be helping us. I promise."

Pavarti got up. Malfoy followed, and walked her back to her Common Room. They stopped outside the portrait. Malfoy quickly kissed her. Pavarti looked up at him.

"When this is over....can we..?" Malfoy looked down, downcast.

"Pavarti...I can't say for sure. It might be that....we can never be. But I'm going to try." Pavarti kissed his tears away.

"I'll wait for you."

Pavarti stepped inside the Gryffindor Common Room, and flopped on the couch.

"OUCH!" Pavarti jumped up off Hermione. "What was that for?"

"What are you doing down here so late?" Pavarti asked nervously.

"Waiting for you to come back. I have something to ask you-"

"Not now 'Mione, ok? I'm tired. I want to go to bed. Can we please talk about it tomorrow?" She gave Hermione the puppy-eyes. Hermione smiled, a little troubled.

"Well, ok. Tomorrow. Let's get to bed. The couch isn't as comfortable as it looks." Pavarti laughed, then hushed up quickly, as there were people sleeping. The two girls went back up to bed.

I knew it was Draco!!!!!!! And he actually called Harry & Hermy by theier first names! I wish there was more Ron though...pams!

Draco! And he didn't call Harry and Hermione Potter and Granger! Of course, there's only one thing to say now...PAMS!!!

awwww, draco is helping. That was soo sweet. I always love it when Draco is a good guy rather than bad. PAMS!

I love it when people make Draco a nice person. It's just a whole different side to a character that we don't really know all that much about.
