The morning of Harry and Ginny's marraige dawned brightly with a soft warm breeze. It was a beautiful day with crystal clear skies showing a gorgous shade of light blue.
Ron and Hermione woke early and had a quick breakfast before getting dressed for the ceremony. Hermione did a quick-set spell on her hair because apperition could play havoc on hair that was left defenseless. Ron whistled as she came out ouf the loo in her Maid of Honor dress. It was almost the same color as the sky, except that it sparkled with well-placed pieces of tiny crystal, which sent a myriad of complementary colors across her gown that always changed and moved as the sunlight hit them. Her shoes, which Ginny had wisely designed to be flats due to the wedding being outside in soft grass, matched Hermione's gown. Once at Hogwarts, she would add the matching blue and white flower wreath that fit around her head and cascaded down the right side past her shoulder. The sight of his wife dressed for his sister's wedding took Ron's breath away. The only time he had seen her look more beautiful was on their own wedding day.
Hermione thought the same about Ron, standing there in his white dress cloak, emerald green shirt and black dress pants.
The hands on the clock showed 12:45, and the two walked out the door and apperated to a spot just outside Hogwart's main gate. There, they were surprised to find a coach waiting for them. The coach, like in their old school days, was pulled by two skeletal horse-like creatures known as Thestrals. This time, however, due to their roles in the battle against Voldemort, both Ron and Hermione could see what, until then, they had only heard about, although both had ridden them during their fifth year at the school.
Ron and Hermione watched as the towers and turrets of Hogwart's Castle came into view. Memories flooded into both of them as Ron took hold of Hermione's hand and squeezed gently.
Before long, the Thestral's reached the front doors of the castle where Professor McGonagall was waiting for them. She no longer wore the thin lips of a strict and formidable professor, but the wide smile of a genuine friend. Ron hopped down and helped Hermione out of the carraige. When they turned back to face McGonagall, they were surprised to see her smile faltering and a tear escaping down her cheek.
"You are all growing up so quickly," she said, smiling again. "Forgive an old woman her recollections of the past."
Hermione reached out and hugged her former teacher. "I know what you are feeling," she said, smiling. "Ron and I both felt it too as the castle came into sight."
McGonagall turned and looked at Ron with a hint of surprise in her eyes as Ron nodded, signifying that he too had felt what the two of them had.
"I remained surprised that you are the sentimental kind," McGonagall said with a gentle grin. "Shall we go find Ginny and Harry?"
"May a young man with a sentimental soul escort his former teacher into the castle?" Ron said.
McGonagall stopped short, now totally stunned at her former student's behavior.
"My, Mr. Ronald Weasley," she said softly as she put her arm through his, "You are a gentleman, indeed!"
Ron offered Hermione his other arm and the three walked through the door of the place that had taught them so much for so many years.
"Remember the way to the Gryffindor Common Room?" McGonagall asked.
"Blindfolded!" Ron answered with a smile as he walked the two ladies up the staircases and down the halls to where the picture of the Fat Lady still hung.
"Password?" she said with a smile.
"How about Wedding Bells?" McGonagall said, smiling back.
The Fat Lady swung aside and moments later, the old familiar common room surrounded them like a warm, familiar blanket.
"Ron! Hermione!, hello again Professor!" an excited voice rung out and a red head looked down from the stairway.
"Ginny!" Hermione said. "We made it."
"Well, of course you did!" came a deeper voice from behind Ginny. Harry had come out of his old dormatory. Then, silence. The four friends just stared at each other. Ginny seeing her best friend and her brother dressed for her wedding in the clothes she had chosen but never seen them in until now; Hermione staring at Ginny in her fabulus Sunshine yellow wedding gown, also adorned with the same small crystals that flashed complementary colors in all directions across her gown, which trailed several feet behind her. Ginny's hair was up, but with simple strands of curls spiraling down. Interspersed through her hair and the curls were more stratigically placed crystals that sent pale reddish-orange flashes that complemented the flashes of yellow from her dress, creating almost a flame-like illusion. Ginny also wore matching flats more suitable for the grassy terrain. Harry wore the same type of black pants as Ron, but his shirt was white and he wore a beautiful Emerald green cloak. McGonagall stared as well, taking the scene deep into her heart and her memory before she suddenly straightened and said. "Well, I am sure you all have a lot to talk about before the wedding. I will meet the lot of you back at the doors in 45 minutes.
Ron, Ginny, Harry and Hermione each raised a hand in goodbye as they had not yet found their voices. Moments after McGonagall left, Ginny managed to break the spell.
"Well, I must say, Fleur was right on with her dress ideas! Hermione, you look simply stunning!" she said.
"Me?" said Hermione incredulasly, "You should see yourself! You are absolutely amazing!"
Both boys were only able to nod as they looked at their women together.
"Oh my gosh!" Hermione said. "I feel like a schoolgirl again in here!"
"Me too!" Ginny agreed.
"It feels as if we never left," Ron whispered as Harry nodded in agreement.
"It feels good to be here!" Harry said.
"I suppose the other guests are arriving," Ginny said.
"I suppose Ron and I had better get down there and get ready to take our places with the others," Hermione sighed. "But I hate to leave this room!"
"Don't worry," Harry said smiling. "You two are going to stay with us here tonight."
"Bbbut we can't do that!" Hermione stuttered in surprise "We can't intrude on your honeymoon!"
"Who said you'd be intruding?" Ginny said with a grin. "There ARE two large dorm rooms here, and Ron WAS always trying to find a way into the girls dorm to find you! You two will be sleeping there tonight while Harry and I have the boy's dorm to ourselves. Plus, it will be a chance to finally sneak out at night without Filch or Snape to harrass us! In fact, we all have the run of the castle for a week and it wouldn't be the same without you too here with us!"
Hermione and Ron stood there with their mouths open looking at each other, then big grins burst from all four faces.
"Leave it to Harry to come up with a surprise like this!" Ron said.
"Stop!" Hermione said. "If I don't leave here now, I am going to ruin my makeup!"
She then spun on her heels and walked back through the doorway quickly. The other three heard her footsteps echoing with quick clicks down the hallway.
"Just a bit sentimental, isn't she?" Ron said with a grin as he started after her. "See you all downstairs."

That was awesome its so cool they are back in the castle I wonder what they will do with the run of the place of a whole week? PAMS please

HOMG! that was really more than awsome!!! memories...god i hate when that happens... we grow up too fast...way too fast...*sigh* ah well it's life... but i don't know... i would like to slow it down a bit... it won't do any harm....anyhow.. lol back to the main subject! Ron caught up with Hermione down by the Great Hall. She had succeeded in pulling herself together without the need to redo her make-up. She looked up at Ron as he approached and gave him a smile.
"Should we head outside?" Hermione said.
"I suppose we should greet everyone before the ceremony starts," Ron answered as he held out his arm to his wife. She took it with her own arm and the two headed out to greet Ginny and Harry's guests.
Before long, the wedding party was called back to line up for the procession down to the gazebo by the lake.
It was Fleur and her little sister who led the procession and they drew everyone's attention as they scattered beautifully scented petals along the path. Soft music floated on the warm breezes from an unseen source, but Harry, Ginny, Hermione, Ron and a few others smiled as they recognized Fawke's beautiful singing. Bill and Charley followed behind Fleur and Gabrielle. Then came Molly and Arthur who were followed by Remus and Tonks then Hermione and Ron. Behind them came the bride and groom followed by Professor McGonagall, Hagrid and Kingsley Shacklebolt who would perform the service.
Everyone fell silent as the wedding party passed, but "Ooh's" and "Ah's" could be heard as the crowd took in Ginny's fantastic dress.
As they neared the gazebo, no one could help slowing down just a little as heads turned toward the great white marble monument that held Albus Dumbledore's remains. Each head, without any direction from anyone, bowed silently in unison as they passed.
Once they reached the gazebo, Ron and Hermione, Molly, Minerva and Kingsley immediately walked inside and stopped when they reached the side of the alter. Fleur, her sister, Bill, Charley, Tonks and Lupin lined each side. Arthur and Ginny, along with Hagrid, remained outside as their guests stood at their seats around the gazebo.
"Look!" Ron whispered to Hermione,who turned her head in the direction of the lake where Ron was pointing. "The Merpeople are there, right below the surface, do you see them?" Ron said, smiling. Hermione nodded as she softly elbowed Harry, who stood next to her, and pointed them out to him. Harry smiled, and pointed over to the right, towards the Forbidden Forest. There, Hermione and Ron saw something moving in the shadows. "Centaurs!" they whispered. "Oh course they would want to be here!" Hermione said. "They would want to honor you Harry!"
"Honor us!" Harry said. "I didn't fight Voldemort alone, remember!"
Moments later, Fawkes began singing again, and on cue, Arthur took his daughter's arm and led her up the steps and inside the gazebo to her husband, then moved to stand next to Molly, her hand in his. Hagrid, who 's bulk was just too big for the gazebo, took a seat next to his half-brother Grawp.
Harry and Ginny kneeled down together in front of the alter as Shacklebolt began the ceremony. A short time late, the couple got to their feet and turned to face each other.
"My love," Harry said. "Over the years I have watched you grow from a shy child into a beautiful woman. Together we have shared the hardships along with the joys that life brought our way. Those events, good and bad, brought us closer together and, eventually led us to shelter from the storm in each others arms. We have become each others strenghth and joy. Our hearts beat as one."
Tears could be seen in many eyes as Ginny looked radiantly into Harry's eyes as he spoke.
"My one love," Ginny answered. "Since the day I first laid my eyes on a lonely and uncertain boy at King's Cross, I knew that my heart had been taken, young as I was. I never in my wildrest dreams ever thought that you would feel the same someday. I thought I, also, would be lonely forever. But that lonely boy finally found an escape from that loneliness in the arms of that lonely girl. We will never be lonely again because we have each other. My heart beats for you, and yours for me...together we have become one beat - and that beat is love."
Silence met the end of Ginny's speech, and the sniffling sound of controled tears could be heard all around until something else softly permeated the air around them.
"The Merpeople are singing for us," Harry said, holding Ginny's hand and looking deeply into her eyes, as if it were just the two of them there. Heads turned toward the lake to listen to the unusual, but not unbeautiful singing from the lake people.
Kingsley cleared his throat, bring back attention to the service.
"May we have the rings, please!" he said.
Bill and Charlie both approached Harry and Ginny and handed one ring to Harry.
Harry grinned broadly as he slipped the ring on Ginny's finger. She then took the second ring and slipped it on to Harry's. Then they joined their left hands together and turned to face Kingsley, who said.
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife!"
Suddenly, the sky above then was filled with white as the top of the gazebo opened to release hundreds of white doves into the blue. Cheers rang out from all around as the Merpeople popped their heads out of the water to join in with the crowd. Heads turned to watch as the Centaurs shot their tribute of arrows into the air. But Harry and Ginny took advantage of this diversion. The couple looked into each other's eyes, grinned, and leaned in together for a passionate kiss that was at least somewhat private.

The wedding was so beautiful! And so fitting. it was so moving to read. I love the fact that both the merpeople and the centuars were in attendance. It was wonderful! Keep up the good work!

Harry and Ginny led the way back into the castle and into the Great Hall where their reception was to take place. The hall had been exsquisitally decorated. It was draped with the same material Ginny and Hermione had on their dresses, which reflected the flickering lights of the torch flames that lit the hall, sprinkling everyone and everything in the huge room with myriads of beautiful colors. As the sky outside darkened, shooting stars could be seen leaving their firery trails to mark the night sky. Fine embers seemed to rain down onto the enchanted ceiling from these magnificent balls of fire, adding their own mark to the sparkling colors below.
Harry and Ron both had a big surprise waiting for Ginny and Hermione as the Wierd Sisters took the stage after the guests had eaten a fantastic feast. The two men had secretly been taking dancing lessons from Bill, George, Fred and Charlie and they whisked their wives onto the dance floor where they showed off their new moves. Hermione and Ginny looked at each other in surprise as they all danced together, impressing all who watched.
"I learned a bit since the Yule Ball," Harry said proudly to Ginny. "I've been practicing, so has Ron."
"Wow," Ginny said as Harry twirled her around. "You sure know how to give a girl a wedding present, don't you!"
"I can't wait for a slow dance," Hermione finally told Ron with a smile, breathless from the fast paced music.
Later, as the four took a break for something to drink, they sat and watched their guests enjoy themselves.
"Look!", Ron said with a huge smile on his face as he pointed over to Hagrid who was trying to dance to a fast song with an exasperated McGonagal, who was trying her best to keep up with the pace and not get her feet smashed by Hagrids boots.
"Oh, my" Hermione said, trying not to break into side-splitting laughter as she pointed at Professor Flitwick who was dancing, incredibly with Professor Trelawney who towered above him as they bobbed and weaved across the dance floor.
But all of them practically fell off their chairs as they saw Peeves glide over to Moaning Myrtle where he grandly swept his feathered, wide-brimmed hat from his head and bowed graciously as he asked the stunned Myrtle for a dance. She stood and courtsied in reply. Peeves offered her his arm, and Myrtle, actually smiling, took it and the two together, made their way to the dance floor.
"Hey, they're pretty good!" Harry laughed as they watched the strange scene unfold. "Not bad at all!"
Neville and Luna came over to the laughing group and joined in the laughter as the others pointed out what they had seen.
All in all, it was a wonderful night for all, but, like all good things, the night had to come to an end, but it was well after midnight before the guests took off for their respective homes or rooms at the castle.
The two newlyweds, followed by Ron and Hermione, headed back to the Gryffindor common room after bidding their guests and their hosts at the castle goodnight.
The four sat by the fire in the common room for a while, sharing memories from this evening and their days as students before Harry took Ginny by the hand and led her up to the boy's dorm. Hermione smiled at Ron, took his hand, and led him down to the girl's dorm, which, due to a special charm turned the stairway into a slide that prevented boys from entering the dorm, Ron had never been able to enter before. He climbed up the charmed flight of stairs nervously, sure that any second they would change and he would slide down like he did years ago when he tried to go to the dorm. Hermione laughed. "Don't worry," she said. "The charm has been temporarily removed." She opened the door and Ron stepped in to one of the only places inside the castle he had never been before.
The first thing he noticed was that it really wasn't much different than the boys dorm. Without a bunch of girls living in it, there was no "femine touch" to it. But what was different, he knew was not normal for the dorm. Several of the twin beds had been moved, and in their place was a queen-sized bed, four-postered like the singles, but room enough for he and his wife to sleep together comfortably.
"Don't look so disappointed," Hermione teased as she watch him look around the room."It looks a lot different when the girls are here, of course, because we decorate it. But, in reality, you weren't really missing anything specacular. It's a dormatory."
"Well," Ron said, smiling. "At least now I have you all to myself in the one place I used to dream of being able to come into to watch you sleep and lay next to you."
"That's so sweet," Hermione whispered. "Did you really used to imagine doing that?"
"Oh, yes, " Ron answered as he took Hermione's hand and led her over to the bed. "All the time."

The next morning, the four met in the commons area again.
"Sleep well? Harry asked Ron and Hermione as they walked into the room.
"Like a baby," Hermione said with a smile, squeezing Ron's hand.
"How do you stand the snoring?" Ginny asked. "I could even hear him back at the Burrow in my room sometimes...sounded like a train was about to come through the ceiling!"
"Well, that's just it," Hermione winked. "I just imagine I'm on the Hogwart's Express and let it rock me to sleep!"
Ron's ears were turning pink, but he knew he had a loud snore.
"I can't help it!" he said defensively.
Hermione smiled at him.
"It's nothing a good 'muffalado' spell won't fix!" she said. "I don't hear a thing!"
Ron laughed with appreciation.
"Do we go down to the Great Hall for breakfast?" Hermione asked.
"Sure," Harry answered. "I'd like that, but Minerva let me know that if we wanted to eat privately we can call on the house elves and they will bring us something to eat. This morning though, I would like to eat in with the others again."
Everyone agreed and they headed out the picture of the Fat Lady and headed down stairs.
The Great Hall had already been cleared of the remnants of last night's party. There was only the one big staff table set up for meals, and the four noticed several people were already there eating.
Hagrid waved as he saw them approach. The others smiled warmly as McGonagall welcomed them to the table.
"I thought you might want to eat alone this morning, " she said, eyes twinkling. "But we're more than happy to have you with us."
The four sat down and dug in to the piles of eggs, bacon, sausage and more that sat in bowls around the table.
Ginny looked up at the ceiling. "It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day," she said.
"Perfect for a walk on the grounds,"Hagrid said. "But ya got ta come by and visit me and Fang! Buckbeak wo shoore like ta see ya too!"
"We will!" Hermione promised. The others nodded in agreement, their mouths too full to speak.
After breakfast, Ron and Hermione went their own way, leaving the newlyweds to do what they wanted together alone.
After visiting Hagrid, as they promised. Ron and Hermione headed down to Hogsmead for some shopping. Hand in hand, they walked, both bringing up memories of their school days as they went. They visited the Shrieking Shack on their way back, stopping to look into the old room where they had met Sirius and found out Ron's rat had really been Wormtail, the wizard.
"What ever happened to Wormtail?" Ron wondered. "I don't remember hearing that he had been killed in the battle."
"He wasn't," Hermione said. "It's almost sad, really. He had always been a coward, which is what really drove him to run to Voldemort. It ended up that he finally realized his mistake and he tried to get out, but, as you know, you didn't just resign from Voldemort's service. Voldemort had ordered him to kill someone, and Wormtail just up and refused. He told him that he had seen enough killing and didn't want to do it anymore. Well, Voldemort didn't believe that Wormtail would actually have the guts to stand up to him, and yelled at him to do it. Wormtail yelled back, 'No! I WILL NOT! Do it your bloody self!' knowing what Voldemort would do. He just turned his back and startedwalking away. Voldemort hit him with the killing curse in the back, like the coward he really was. But I think Wormtail had finally figured out what Dumbledore had always said - there are worse things than dying. He knew Voldemort would kill him for what he had said."
"Well, I can't feel particularly sorry for him, " Ron said. "But at least he finally came to his senses. I just wish he would have done that before he helped Voldemort kill Harry's parents and all!"
"I know," Hermione said as she reached out of the Whomping Willow tree and pushed the knot that would protect them as they left.
"Shall we get some lunch," Ron asked her as they walked toward the castle. "That walk made me hungry!"
"I have an idea," she said as she led Ron down the path that led to a little cove by the lake. There, she conjured up a large cloth and a picnic basket full of goodies for them both. They sat and enjoyed the sandwiches and fresh fruit as the summer breeze floated down over the hill behind them and over the lake, which seemed to wink at them as it sparkled in the sunlight.
After the meal, both Ron and Hermione stretched out on the blanket and soon fell asleep in each other's arms.
After a time, the sleeping couple was startled awake by the sound of something heavy hitting the water, then laughter as Harry and Ginny splashed them playfully from several yards out into the lake where they had surfaced after jumping in. Ron and Hermione followed them into the water, intent on paying them back for the dousing! The echoes of their playful voices floated away on the warm afternoon breeze.

Poor Wormtail. I'm sorry, but I am having a hard time feeling sympathetic for him. I loved the discussing of Ron's snoring though, that is wonderful. What a romantic little picinic they had! Loved the post!
