hey guyz! sorry i havent posted in awhile! i will give u an update either tommorrow or monday! last night i had my school dance, it was really funN! and then like 2 weeks ago i went to a PCD/black eyed peas concert! it was really funN too! and then in a little more then 2 weeks, is my 13th bday! yaaay me! so thats new in my life, and a new update pretty soon!

Chapter 16- Two-Sided Secrets

About 2 weeks later, there was another Hogsmeade trip. Ron and Blair were looking through shops and giving each other gentle kisses. Occassionally, Blair would look back to see if Harry was somewhere behind her. About the third time she turned around, Harry was closely watching Ron and Blair look over newly grown roses. Harry quickly ran over to a patch of daisies weaved them toghether for a bracelet and slowly walked over to Ron and Blair. He stood behind them and said a hello and joined in their conversation, while slipping the bracelet on to Blair's wrist that was behind her back.

Meanwhile, Draco shoved into Hermione while walking past. "Hey! Malfoy!" Hermione shouted causing him to turn and walk towards her.

"You!" Hermione was about to come up with a nasty insult when she looked over Draco's shoulder to see Harry and Blair holding hands, right behind Ron. Blair's wrist appeared to be supporting a daisy woven bracelet, which Harry was skilled in making. Hermione's eyes widened at the new information she had just recieved. She then got an idea.

"What, Granger? I have better things to do then to watch you stare into space," Malfoy said impatiently.

"Actually, Malfoy. I have some news that I know you will be interested in.." And Hermione told him of her new-found knowledge.

"Okay, Granger. I've heard your secrets, which I'm surprised you actually know this, but you also very well know that it's forbidden against my own rules to be talking to a Mudblood like you without using insults. But, since this might actually be worth my breathing time, I'll lend you 5 minutes to spare to tell me what you must. Starting..now."

Malfoy and Hermione were talking in an alley in Hogsmeade.

"Okay, no need to do all that, talking here was you're idea. Remember? Well okay. So, sometime before Ron and Blair started this stupid fling, Harry and Blair must've fallen for each other..so-"

"I know all that! Quit wasting time, Granger!" Malfoy snapped.

"Alright! Now if you'd quit interrupting..The Lighting of the Seven Candles is after the Ball next Saturday..They'd be in action then, don't you think?"

"What are you talking about, Granger?"

"The Lighting of the Seven Candles! You know, the ceremony that takes place after the End of the Year Ball, where we light seven candles to represent the seven years we spent at this school? If you were listening to any word said at all, you would know."

"I don't have time to listen to anyone speak, so be grateful that this is actually worth my time."

Hermione rolled her eyes then continued. "We don't know where they meet up, but I'm sure I can get Peeves to do it or something like that. So when we find out, we can lead Ron to where they are so he can see them together."

"So you want to set up this so Ron's life is destroyed also?" Malfoy asked curiously.

"Er..yeah."

"Brilliant! I'm beginning to think your cleverness isn't only used for books.."

Hermione had a slight smirk on her face. "Ha okay then. We can't tell Ron that they're together, and we'll need to act surprised and disgusted when we find them."

"Yes, but, me and you just can't show up at Ron's side like we've been the bestest mates for 7 years. Which, mind you, will never happen as long as you're breathing.." Malfoy looked as if he threw up in his mouth.

"Okay well. What if you find me and Ron on our way to the celebration, and once we find out where they meet up, steer me and Ron (only by arguing of course) into the direction of Harry and Blair," Hermione offered.

Before nodding of approval, Malfoy stared at Hermione. "You may have proved yourself worthy of more of my respect, Granger. But you're still a Mudblood in my eyes.." Malfoy walked away.

And Hermione was oddly okay with that.

Oooooh, Draco and Hermy!!!!! I'd love it if they got together. But you know, you're the author. I don't see how that's gonna be done. PAMS!!

Chapter 17- The Lighting of the Seven Candles Ball and Ceremony

Lorraine and blair sat down at the Slytherin table, 2 weeks after Hermione and Draco met up.

"I'm getting incredibly tired of lieing for you," Lorraine confessed.

"You and me both. I hate being with Harry in secret. That loses the whole purpose of a relationship," Blair sighed.

"Then just don't be in one with him."

"I can't do that. Harry was my first love and without him I'm nothing."

"Then dump Ron. This situation is simpler then how you're handling it."

"Yes but I care for Ron too! And I have this thing with intentionally hurting someone. I feel like killing someone after doing so."

Lorraine shook her head. "Well anyways, who are you going with to the Seven Candles Ball? You know you are going to have to pick one of them."

Blair hasitly buttered toast. "Yes, yes, I've already discussed this with the both of them, mind you. And of course," Blair sighed, "I'm going with Ron. But that's completley fine."

"Good for you. Now, what're you wearing?" Lorraine asked.

"Um, I don't know."

"Yay! Shopping!" Both girls laughed.

"Okay so who are you going with?" Blair asked.

"A boy in Ravenclaw. His name is Christopher Brandell."

"Is he cute?"

"No." Blair raised her eyebrows at Lorraine's response. "Of course he is! I never settle for anything less!" Both girls giggled.

"I want to give Blair something to show how much I love her on the night of the Ball. What should I give her?" Ron asked Harry that afternoon, when working on homework during free period.

Harry looked up at Ron and immediatley looked down. "I'm sure you'll find something. It's only this Saturday, right?"

"Yeah, but I want to prove to her that I really love her."

Harry fidgeted. Ron was talking some more but he couldn't hear him. All Harry was doing was thinking about how what he and Blair were doing to Ron wasn't right.

"....you know, Harry?" Ron asked, apparently thinking that Harry was listening.

"Yeah. I do know." And what Harry was true. He knew exactly what to do.

okay thats the end of the post i have for today. im still pretty tired even though i slept like 4 hours last night, and like 4 hours this afternoon, so i'll catch up on sleep. i'll get you the 2nd part of chapter 17 soon enuf! summer has just started :-)

woooooooo! new post! its so darn hott! grr:

Lorraine and Blair managed to find a perfect dress for the Ball. Blair's was violet and spaghetti strapped and Lorraine's was peach with no straps. They both were done over and looked extraordinarily pretty.

"Do you think you'll get a chance to dance with Harry?" Lorraine asked Blair as they were waiting in the Entrance Hall.

"I really don' know," Blair answered, twirling her straightened hair around her finger.

Lorraine's date came for her first. She promised Blair that she'll be good and to see her later. Then Ron and Harry came down the strairs at the same time. Oh great, Blair thought. He's come for the show.

Ron greeted Blair with a kiss. "Ready to go in? You're looking extra beautiful tonight, and I'm sure others are waiting to compliment you."

Blair nodded and smiled. "Harry are you coming?" Ron asked. Harry flollowed but sat down with Hermione when they got inside. Blair and Ron danced together the whole Ball and Blair was having fun. But every so often she would catch Harry's eye and she sensed jealousy.

Towards the end of the Ball, they took a break. "Harry! You've been sitting all night! Why don't you take this slow dance with Blair," Ron instructed.

Blair froze. Did he really just sat that? She asked herself. Blair looked down at Harry.

"Okay," he said and took Blair's hand and leaded her out to the middle of the floor. Both of them were quiet when they first started dancing.

"So how does a person like you not have a date?" Blair asked him.

"My date was already taken." Blair looked up at Harry. He stared back at her for awhile longer, then walked away.

Blair walked up to Ron. "Um, I'm feeling tired and I want to rest up for the ceremony in an hour. You don't mind, do you?"

"Of course not! As long as I get you to myself later." Ron kissed her and Blair left.

When Blair walked out of the Great Hall, she was pulled aside and met with a hungry kiss. Blair relaxed, letting Harry kiss her, for he had not done so in a long while

Hermione and Malfoy hid behind a bush in front of the Qudditch Pitch where everyone was just starting to trickle in for the Ceremony.

"You know Mudblood? I'd never thought if I were to be hiding in a bush with someone, I wouldn't think it to be with you or spying on someone. I thought I would be with someone way prettier then you and we would be-" Malfoy was about to finish his sentence when Hermione cut him off.

"Okay, okay I get it....Look! There's Ron!" Hermione pointed.
