Chapter 20

Harry woke on the morning of the dance, which was the last day of term. He sent Hedwig to Hogsmeade with a clipping he had found for a dress for Ginny to wear to the dance, then he got up and ready.

Harry was so nervous as he was sitting in the last class of the term, talking to Ron and Hermione.

"I'm so nervous" he was telling them. "What if she says no?".

"Harry she wont" Hemrione stated.

"Plus, she loves you" Ron added.

"I know she loves me, but she could say no"

"She wont" Hermione said rolling her eyes.

"How do you know?" He asked curiously.

"We've been talking, nothing big, just the stuff she's said. And no I'm not going to tell you" She added before Harry could say anything.

"Okay, I'll trust you" he said.

The final bell of the term rang and everyone left the classroom. Harry met Ginny in the Great Hall.

"You okay, Harry? You look nervous" Ginny said grabbing his hand.

"I'm fine, just thinking that's all" He said.

They left the Great Hall, went to the common room and sat by the fire. Harry hurried and ran up to his room were he found Hedwig with the package he sent for. Glad it came on time, he ran down to the common room, covered Ginny's eyes and slipped it in her lap.

"Open it" He said.

Ginny opened and took out the dress. It was so beautiful. It was emerald green, long and had black trim.

"I love it" Ginny said. "Thank you Harry". She leaned down and kissed his cheek.

"Speaking of the dance Ginny, we better go and start getting ready" Hermione said.

"Why you need four hours?" Harry asked.

"I want to look good for you and the dance" Ginny replied.

Hermione and Ginny then left, leaving Harry sitting there watching where they had dissapeared off to, butterflies in his stomach growing.

"It will be okay mate. She will say yes" Ron said.

"I know, but i'm still nervous" Harry said.

The two friends sat there and talked, as Harry grew more and more nervous by the second. About an hour before the dance Ron and Harry got up and went to get ready.

Wonderful post, Amy! Ooh, I'm so excited! Can't wait for you to post the Ball scene and Harry's surprise! *squee*

Chapter 21

Harry had just finished getteing ready in his bottle green dress robes and was sitting on his bed in the boys dormatory looking at the ring. When Ron walked in wearing his new Black dress robes the twins had bought him.

"He mate, you about ready to meet the girls?" Ron asked, Putting his toothbrush away.

"Ya, just about. Just thining how to do this and still I'm nervouse." Harry said standing up and placing the small box in his pocket. As he and Ron went out the door.

They walked down the stone steps and over to the girls dormatory steps were they waited. Ron and Harry were just talking when Harry stooped and looked up. Their walking down the stairs was Ginny in her new dress Harry had gotten her. She looked so beautiful in it. Harry's stomache gave a nervouse leap as he took her heand.

"You look beauriful in that dress." Harry said blushing and giving her a kiss on the check.

"You don't look to bad yourself Mr. Potter." Ginny said teasingly.

"Wow Hermione you look wonderful." Ron rplied.

You do to your new robes are nice. I like them" Hermione replied back making Ron turn pink.

Harry took Ginny's hand and Ron Hermiones and the four of them walked out of the Fat Lady and down to the Great Hall. It looked so beuatiful. Their were Christmas Trees lined up against the walls all decoreted with tinsil and ordrements. The sky avout had snowfalling down from it. And their were tables set up along the walls. Harry , Ginny, Ron and Hermione took seats near the entracne. And soon were joined by Neviell and Luna. McGongall stood up just then.

"Welcome all to the dance, have fun and be safe. And now for the feast. Enjoy." She said and the tables around filled up with food.

Harry's stomache was still nervouse and he wasn't very hungry.

"Harry you okay, you don't look so good." Ginny asked him

"I'm fine. Just nervouse that i might mess up dancing thats all."

"Okay." Ginny said kinda werey

They ate their food and danced for along time. 2 hours had passes and they were getting hot.

"Hey should we go take a carrage ride?" Ginny suggested.

"Sure" the other said and went for the door.

It was snowing out side. But beautiful. Harry went to get in the carragie with Ginny when Hermione grabbed his arm.

"Harry when are you going to do it?" She hissed at him.

"Soon. Just waiting for the right moment. Maybe while were on this ride or when we get back and are danceing again. I'm not sure." He replied.

"WWell don't wait to much longer. The dance is half over."

"I know Hermione. I will do it soon. I promise." Harry said back.

"You guys coming?" Ron and Ginny asked from their carragies.

"Ya we are." Harry and Hermione replied.

"This is nice." Ginny replied grabing the blanket and putting it over them as Harry put his arm around her and she laid down on him. The snow was now falling harder down on them as they enjoyed thier ride. Harry kissed the top of Ginnys head. And put his hand in his pocket.

"Should I do it know?" he said to himself as he looked down at Ginny. And thought.
