Tranquility is a nice poem with an awesome flow. Keep 'em coming! - Angel |
Mirage I hate the way you make me sweat when you're not even close to me I hate the way my heart pounds in my chest even though you don't know my name I hate the way my breath is taken away by a single word You told the world so many nights ago you'd save the world when they didn't ask for it I claimed you a hero, they called me stupid, what's going on? I can't find all the answers I hate when you sing songs I hate when you close your eyes I hate what I cannot have Everyone told me what I had was stupid But I never gave up, I kept on pining They'll call me names until I prove them wrong I hate the way you look in my eyes I hate the way your voice sounds in my head I hate you more than you will ever know Nothing you can do can change my mind |
It Never Came Look at the world that we have created Hear the cheers and shouts out in the streets Why aren’t you laughing? Aren’t you happy? No, you’re not because you know the truth You were there when lives were taken The rivers ran red with blood You saw the horrors You were in the nightmare You know what happened unlike everyone else Yelling and screaming echoed in our ears Silence was deadly; it never came Shaking and shivering, We held together But nothing could stop the fire from coming |
I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote this.. Born of Blood I feel them all around me They watch my every movement They memorize my breath They’re waiting for something The moon, the heat, the blood Any one will soothe their needs Their breathing is low and rough Their muscles are tense and ready Willing to attack and destroy Changing colors in their eyes They crystal globes hold their power One look inside; you’re lost forever A hunger that never dies No food can satisfy them The hunger is not controlled by food A haunting sound echoes through the night They listen to the call They obey Persistant and determined Nothing gets in their way They’re powerful, needless to say Rising from an endless slumber Released into the ravaging wild They succumb to the evils of the night |
Pining for Them Is it so terribly bad to break down in tears? Is it so horribly wrong that my guilt is killing me? I shouldn't cry I should keep it all inside But my will to be strong is gone Lost friends Lost hopes Lost dreams I want to find them I miss their touch Their laughter in my ears Their voice on the message for my phone Their letters that made me squeal I miss them so very much |
I really liked It Never Came. It reminds me of a book that I read awhile ago (but the title escapes me at the moment). Born of blood was different but I still got caught up in it. Good job. |
Christmas Tale Christmas is coming It's oh so near Christmas is coming There is nothing to fear Decorate the tree Hang ornaments in all odd places Place the little candy canes Out of the kittens reaches Christmas is a time When families come together They eat, sing, and dance With their Holiday Spirit Snow falls down from the sky From special little places Children laugh and shout When it falls on their little faces Silent Night, Holy Night Christmas songs Echo throughout the night The Elves have been working Through 12 long months Now on the final Eve Their Job will be done Santa will hop in his sleigh Saddle up the reindeer Fly across the world Eating milk and cookies without a fear When morning comes Children will race out of their beds Their eyes will brighten up As they see the gifts That Santa left them. Merry Christmas to friends Merry Christmas to families Merry Christmas to people who are just dandy. |
Whispers sent from the North wind Blowing through the alleys Forcing wizards to cover their chins Distant messages, coded tongues Magic words that only one knows Words from the enchantress that must be sung They fear the message and hide away They fear the magic of Sorceress Touz Quivering in their stance; fear makes them sway "She can't be that wretched. She must have a heart," comments a child that is bless-ed. "She terrorizes our town From the castle in the sky; She's evil I tell you and we must bring her down!" They grabbed their wands headed for their graves The girl takes flight, Running to tell the witch, her courage so brave. "They're coming for you, Sorceress! You must leave your castle For they come to make a mess!" "Silly child, you misunderstand my powers. They can't touch me, Much less get into my tower." The villagers came on horses of the wind, Shouting curses and words of anger Arm in arm with their kin. Green, red, blue; bright flashes of color went flying. The small child shrieked in tower Her mind screaming out, they were dying A bright blue light shining brighter than the sun Covering the child and sending the magic back Killing the villagers like a bullet from a gun "You saved me," were the girl's first words. "Don't make anything of it; I had no other choice." She brought the girl inside, her words slurred. For the first time in all the world's years, Snow fell that night on the witch's castle. Some say it was the child's tears. The witch had a heart that no one knew of And saved a life that was so innocent. The girl disappeared, never to be seen again, But some say she died to become a dove. I had the sudden urge to write about Ty as well as Christmas. I guess only the first happened, since death doesn't exactly call out to Christmas lovers. It's weird at the end. o.O I tried to change it, but nothing worked, so it remains as is. |
Reas, these are all great. It Never Came reminds me of another poem called "Where We Come From, Where We Are Going". Lovely. Your newest poem. Where to begin. I found it easy to relate to this poem, though it's hard to say why exactly. It's very touching. I love it. |
I really like your Christmas poem. lol I've been trying to write a few myself and I haven't been as successful as you. Keep up the great work. - Angel |
Something I wrote a little while ago. First Waking First waking in the morning, Eyes are ready to go back to sleep, While the body is ready to run around. Voice is cracked, Hair is in tangles Breath is - even worse than last night. Too lazy to move, Too energetic to stay in one place. So just lazily lay on the sofa, Until it's time to move. Be quiet with actions. You don't want to wake others up- Just because you are up, Doesn't mean that everyone else Has had their morning waking. |
I like it! The more you read it the better it gets, the more meaning it has as well. |
