| Gwen's Poems Hello! Well, it seems you’ve managed to stumble across my poems! Just don’t trip and fall, I would hate for you to break something. For a school project, we had to write Harry Potter based poems. I guess Ill be posting them as I go as well as different poems afterwards. I’d love comments and constructive criticism (You stink is NOT constructive)! I hope you enjoy! The Gryffindor Common Room
Crackling fires,
Smoldering logs,
Big plush chairs,
And lost frogs.
The Gryffindor common room.
Discarded homework,
Hidden hats,
Long lost quills,
And scampering rats.
The Gryffindor common room.
Books on magic,
Candle light,
Rolls of parchment,
And owl flight.
The Gryffindor common room.

| Another one! I dont love this one, although I like the first and last verse (its repeated). Hope you enjoy! Department Of Mysteries
Row upon row of high up shelves,
Clear orbs that sound like bells,
When shattered on the cold floor,
Of that dark and hidden corridor.
Rushing past row fifty-eight,
Hoping that they aren’t to late,
No time left to debate,
Whether the thestrals would wait.
Reaching for the dusty ball,
It would be tragic to let it fall,
Suddenly he hears a call,
And see a figure by the wall.
Now they’re running room to room,
Hearing the steady boom,
And seeing the spells zoom,
Realizing their almost certain doom.
Row upon row of high up shelves,
Clear orbs that sound like bells,
When shattered on the cold floor,
Of that dark and hidden corridor.

| Hello again! Ok, I dont have any new poems for you, but Ive added verses to both of the ones I have so far. I also removed a sanatza from the second poem I've posted, Department Of Mysteries and added two new ones. Please tell me what you think! The Gryffindor Common Room
Crackling fires,
Smoldering logs,
Big plush chairs,
And lost frogs.
The Gryffindor common room.
Discarded homework,
Hidden hats,
Long lost quills,
And scampering rats.
The Gryffindor common room.
Books on magic,
Candle light,
Rolls of parchment,
And owl flight.
The Gryffindor common room.
Secret passages,
Angry cats,
Spell-o-tape,
Witches hats.
The Gryffindor common room.
Starlit windows,
Fluffy rugs,
Happy students,
Butter beer mugs.
The Gryffindor common room. Department Of Mysteries
Row upon row of high up shelves,
Clear orbs that sound like bells,
When shattered on the cold floor,
Of that dark and hidden corridor.
Rushing past row fifty-eight,
Hoping that they aren’t to late,
No time left to debate,
Whether the thestrals would wait.
Reaching for the dusty ball,
It would be tragic to let it fall,
Suddenly he hears a call,
And see a figure by the wall.
Spells are flying everywhere,
Hitting shelves and burning hair,
The tension is hard to bear,
Till’ a voice fills the air
Now the prophecy is shattered,
Like their soles,
Bruised and battered,
Has any of it really mattered?
Row upon row of high up shelves,
Clear orbs that sound like bells,
When shattered on the cold floor,
Of that dark and hidden corridor.

| Thank You
It seems like you’re here with me,
And yet you’re so far away,
I want to wake up tomorrow,
And find this was just another dreamed day.
The memories play in my head,
Like a stuck CD,
You were the last of the ‘Potters’,
Now it’s just me.
You came at my distress,
You heard my call,
When I got in trouble,
I didn’t think you’d take the fall.
You’re time with me was short,
As brief as a gust of wind,
But the memories it’s left me with,
They haven’t thinned.
Your presence,
Although brief,
Has left me scarred,
Filled with and grief.
Losing you has taught me how to be,
Myself in all I do,
You taught me how to live,
Thank you.
Aw, thanks for all of the comments!! Here is another, although its not the best. We had to do a theme poem, and I chose to do mine about loss. So there it is. Not the best though...

| Now You’re Gone You left me all alone,
Standing in the rain,
You didn’t think I’d suffer like this,
Did think I’d feel so much pain.
When did it happen?
Where did we go wrong?
I thought our friendship mattered,
And now you’re gone.
It’s like the past years don’t matter,
Like it was all a dream,
I guess our friendship wasn’t real,
Wasn’t all it would seem.
I want you to know,
That Ill be here,
Standing in the rain,
Waiting for you to appear.
This poem is about loseing a friend and not knowing why. Its also about not being able to move on.

| Can’t Go On
Tired of going on,
Sick of it as can be,
Lost promises, broken dreams,
This isn’t the life that was meant for me.
Looking at a broken future,
Trying to change the past,
Nothing left for me to do,
Everything’s moving too fast.
I can’t get back what I lost,
Can’t get what I need,
I’m just a follower,
With no one to lead.
Not prepared to be left behind,
Not ready to move ahead,
Standing still,
I might as well be dead.
Looking for a brighter future,
Hoping for a better tomorrow,
Praying that living my life,
Will quench my sorrow. Thanks for the new comments guys, its nice to know people are reading my poems! Heres another one (non-Harry Potter). Enjoy!!

| Waves Crashing in,
Rolling out,
Tossing and turning,
Spinning about.
Changing course,
Glinting in the sun,
Sweeping the sand,
Its travels never done.
Transformed by moonlight,
Embodying life,
Perfection and grace,
As dangerous as a knife.
Wild and exotic,
Beautiful and true,
Powerful and gentle,
Just like you.
This poem is supposed to make you think of waves and the ocean. It’s also a metaphor for human nature because humans are both kind and cruel; like the ocean. |

| Hey! Sorry, I know I havnt posted in ages. I wrote this poem a few days ago while on a trip and it has no name. Hope you like it! The white crest of reality crashes down upon me,
Shattering my broken soul.
I search the glittering shards of glass for truth,
But our society conceals it.
I walk the plank of no return,
Waiting to feel the waters cool embrace.
I see beyond the mist that shrouds me,
There is a light I can not reach.
Crowds of people move around me,
Yet I feel all alone.
I took a detour down the road of life,
Now I must pay the price. |

| Fall
The air turns bitter,
The leaves come down,
I find myself.
In falls colorful gown.
Wind to redden my cheeks,
Tea to warm my heart,
Take out those sweaters,
You’ll look smart.
Collection of leaves,
Laid in a box,
Scent of cinnamon,
Weather beaten rocks.
Wind carries the leaves,
Swirling around my shoes,
Vibrant yellows and bright reds,
I can’t tear my eyes away from the captivating hues.
Farewell to Persephone,
Let the season take hold,
Banish summers warmth,
And bring on the cold!
-Hey! I know its been a LONG time since an update... Dont you love the title? So creative XD. For anyone who dosnt know (Aka, most normal people), Persephone is an Greek/Roman (one of them spells it differently) goddess who is the reason we have seasons... Long story. I hope you liked it and I'll try to remember to update more!- |

| Aw, thanks for all of the comments *Lurves them*!! I had to do another for school, this time on a character from the Odyssey. I chose Nausicaa, a princess Odysseus meets on his travles. Every set of words is supposed to have a rose in the middle, seperateing the words, but you cant show that in snitch seeker . Hope you like it! The Rose Princess Nausicaa
Innocent Nausicaa, “a tall girl and divinely beautiful”
To rival the Gods, whom she praises
The fresh young maiden, “white arms” in the sun
Like the divine Goddess Artemis, and “like a young palm spire”
Excited by dreams, sent by the Gods
Addresses her father, as “Daddy Dear”
To do the wash, by the noble river,
And to take her lovely maids with her, who are as loyal as can be
A lovely game of ball, by the river when the work is done
Laughter and joyous singing, until the ball is lost among the eddies
Odysseus appears, stalking out of the forest like a lion
Her maids flee, but Nausicaa stands her ground calmly
Takes pity on a stranger, sent by the Gods from far off
Gives him clothing, and food
And bids her maids to let him bathe, and offers him guidance
Advises Odysseus on how to win favor, with her powerful mother
Clever Nausicaa, helping the hero Odysseus
Sweet Nausicaa, singing and good praising
Compassionate Nausicaa, kind to strangers from far off
Beautiful Nausicaa, compared to the divine Artemis
Nausicaa, the fresh young maiden
Like a pure new rose, beautiful and soft
Protected by thorns, wickedly sharp
A goddess among mortals |
