I enjoyed writing this F.F the most out of them all... so many challenges while writing this whole thing... most challenges I've ever had... best challenges cause I actually got through them.
Anyways, here's chapter 35, 2nd-to-last chapter. It's my least favourite next to... chapter 22 I think it is. 'Mr. Smooth Makes His Move' (that one). Ya...
I'll stop rambling about how much I only put this chapter in as a breat between Valentines Day and May/June of the Final Task.
Heck, maybe this chapter proves important later on... You never know...

Chapter 35
Friday Evenings

The next 2 weeks flew by, and before Hermione knew it, it was early March. Hermione actually couldn’t wait for the weekend (it was already Friday), which surprised her. She usually couldn’t wait to get to classes, she always saw the weekend as a block in the road of learning, always getting in the way of learning more, but lately she’s been looking forward to these ‘blocks in the road’; she’d be able to be with Draco more outside of class. They already sat together in every class because of ‘friends’ ditching them for their choices, but it wasn’t the same.
Hermione made herself a promise to curl up on the couch by the fire to read on Friday evening, so she did just that. She was reading the sequel to her favourite muggle trilogy, ‘Eldest’. She found herself tearing up at the end of the last chapter in the book. Blinking a few times, she controlled the threatening happy/sad tears as she closed the book (o.o.s: I’m not giving away anything! I have read Eldest and made myself after I knew every secret cause of some idiots so I’m not gonna ruin it for anyone that might be reading or plan on reading it). She ran upstairs to put away her book (she was still in Ginny’s room), and grab another.
She took out another book she got in muggle London, ‘A Great and Terrible Beauty’ (o.o.s: I started reading the story but got about 60 pages in and got kinda bored so I don’t know much other than one thing cause I asked for it), a story about a girl that grew up in India that is sent back to London (England) to a girl’s academy after her mother dies in a vision she foresaw (and she is led to a mysterious group called the Order and is left to rebuild the shadowy group). It will be the 2nd time she read it, but Hermione loved the book the first time around.
Running back downstairs, Hermione threw her book back onto the couch. She heard the door groan as it opened. She ignored the noise though, she had gone through an hour of hearing it already.
“Hey, Hermione.”
Hermione took a deep breath in.
“Hello, Ronald,” she said in a flat yet civil tone.
“So... how’ve you been?” Ron asked, his hands now in his pockets.
“I’ve been fine...” Hermione didn’t want to make any attempt for conversation with him.
“What’re you doing now?” Ron asked curiously.
“I was going to read,” Hermione responded in the snappy flat tone. She then sat on the couch and opened up her book, ignoring Ron.
“Look...”
“Reading!” Hermione cut in.
“I don’t know why...”
“Reading!” Hermione snapped again as she flipped the page.
“You’re mad at me still but...”
“READING!” Hermione yelled over Ron.
“I’m sorry,” Ron bellowed over Hermione’s interruptions. Hermione stopped reading. She folded the page she was at, put the book down and stood up. She turned to face him.
“What?” she asked flatly (again).
“I’m sorry,” Ron said, pronounciating each word. Hermione clenched her jaw, ready to respond, but Ron cut her off again. “It’s just... you kept ignoring me when we were together, and you didn’t truly give a reason as to why you wanted to end it all.”
“That’s because I knew you’d be acting like I am to you right now!” Hermione exclaimed. “Like everyone else is right now! Ignoring me, being nasty about my own choices, even kicking me out of my own room because of them! You really started getting on my nerves, Ronald. I had to find a way out, you gave it to me, and I took it.”
“Do I look like I’m freaking out about that?” Ron exclaimed, just as loud as Hermione.
“Yes, you do!” Hermione yelled. “That’s the whole reason we’re in this now and were before! You didn’t give me my space about it!”
“You ignored me!” Ron bellowed. “I had to say something!”
Hermione was just about to yell back, but didn’t. She took another deep breath, calming herself.
“Do you want to know why I ‘ignored’ you until I ended it?” she asked serenely.
“Yeah, go ahead!” Ron said loudly.
“Controlling, demanding, over-reactive, quick to jump to conclusions, I have a list, Ronald!” Hermione snapped. “You needed to know everything I did and just started to get embarrassing with all the names you were starting to use...”
“I can change you know.”
Hermione scoffed. “So far you haven’t shown any initiative to do so, and you’ve already proved one of my points.”
“Give me a chance, Mione.”
“I did and you... stomped on it, and how many times do I have to say not to call me ‘Mione’? You lost that right a long time ago.”
“People change, Hermione.”
“You haven’t proven that yet.”
Ron sighed irritably.
“Honestly, Ronald, you try being mauled by a best friend. How can you expect me to be oh-so-forgiving after nearly attacking me?”
Ron didn’t respond.
“Frankly, you broke my trust in you.”
“It was in the past, Hermione. Last year really...”
“Technically that’s true, but it was only a few months ago, so it hasn’t really been a full year.”
“I’m not really asking to be a close friend again...”
“What are you asking for then?”
“If you can’t forgive me for being rash than at least accept I’m sorry and just get on with what happened.”
Hermione crossed her arms across her chest and looked Ron in the eye sharply for a few moments.
“I accept you apology,” she said finally. Ron’s eyes brightened, but Hermione’s expression stayed the same. She was taken by surprise when Ron quickly hugged her and then walked off happily. She didn’t realize how much she missed his quirky personality until now.

Oh ya.... A few days ago something happened and frankly, it freaked me out.
I truthly hate R/Hr, but guess what?
I got an idea for an R/Hr one-shot (song fic as awlways )
But there's no death in it!
It's not all that happy, but no one dies I'm I'm happy cause that's my first one-shot that doesn't have death in it!
If it actually happened, it'd be based on the song The Kill (one of my like, all-time favourite songs). I know it's the perfect D/Hr song but I tried a one-shot with it and it just... didn't work... to complicated
R/Hr is already there, unlike D/Hr so I might actually go against myself and do an R/Hr oneshot with my fav song

She didn't realize. Ha!

Chapter 36
Draco’s Final Task

The next two months slid by fast and it seemed to come too quickly to the end of the year. The Triwizard Champions were reminded of the Final Task approaching a week before May 29th, the day of the task. The reminder of the final task reminded Draco and Hermione of the fact it was almost the end of the year. What would they do after Hogwarts? How would they live with the fact they’re from two separate sections of the magical world? What would happen to them?
The days crept up to the 29th, and before they knew it, it was the Final Task. Hermione followed the crowd to the stadium on the day of the task. She was just about to enter when someone grabbed a hold of her and pulled her off to the side. Instinctively, she pulled out her wand and had it up defensively. She looked into the pale grey eyes of her supposed attacker and dropped her wand hand, putting her wand back into her pocket.
“Uh... good luck,” was all Hermione could get out.
“Thanks for getting my adrenalin rush of the day,” Draco responded. For a moment he thought Hermione was going to actually attack him.
“No problem, you’ll need to be running through that maze when...”
Draco stopped her rambling with a kiss. After a few moments, he unwillingly pulled away, knowing he’d have to run back to where he left soon.
“I’ll see you after this little task is over,” he told Hermione as he pushed away a few stray curly hairs from her face. He then left, running to where he should’ve been beforehand.
The quick encounter took Hermione back slightly, but she followed the remaining groups of students into the stadium. She found seats with Ginny and Ron, waiting for the Final Task to start.
“Hey you three.”
Ron quickly looked up to his left and was shocked.
“How’d you get in, Harry?” Ron asked in amazement.
“Well you see there’re these two openings called doors that lead into the stadium...”
Hermione chuckled; she missed Harry’s sarcasm. Harry sat down next to Ginny silently.
The champions then finally entered the stadium. Cheers and chants of the name of the champions they supported echoed throughout the stadium and the rest of the school grounds.
Professor McGonagall quickly turned and talked to the champions. She then turned around and faced the crowd.
“The first champion to find the Triwizard Cup shall become the next Triwizard Champion. This task may appear simplistic, but these three champions must find the location of the cup within the maze; only Mr. Lagerstorm knows the exact location of the Cup. At the sound of the...”
The cannon fired and the stadium shook with the impact
“Mr. Olivarez may enter first,” the Headmistress finished. Nate did as he was told and entered the maze. A few moments later, McGonagall continued. “Following the Durmstrang champion shall be Mr. Malfoy...”
Draco looked into the dark abyss of a maze. He stepped inside.
This isn’t too bad...
Crack! Crack! Crack....!
Draco ran; the maze was closing him in! He kept running through the hedges, not wanting to get stuck in the hedges of the maze forever. He then thought of an idea. Instead of going around the maze, he could go through it, not by getting caught...
Incendio.
A hole burned through the hedges. Draco smirked at what he had done. His smirked faded when the hole in the maze suddenly grew back; the hedge was hole-free again. Draco growled and tried again. He watched the hole get covered up again. He burned another hole and jumped through it quickly, just before it grew back again. He did this until he got to a path that he checked was heading north. He rounded a corner, went west, and then another turn going back north.
There it was. Gleaming in all of its blue beauty was the translucent Triwizard Cup. Draco’s eyes glimmered greedily for a moment, the thousand galleons, the eternal glory, all his. He started walking towards it when he heard the cracking of the maze; it was closing him in again, but front the end that led him to the cup!
Draco swore loudly and ran back the way he came. He walked around in a circle until he found another opening that led to the cup. He ran down the path again and got to the centre. He slowly walked up to the cup, ready to grab it. He kept walking forwards, closer and closer...

Music and screaming students’ voices blared in Draco’s ears. He took in his surroundings and realized where he was; back where he started. How had he gotten here? What happened?
Draco looked in his right hand and was shocked; he now held the Triwizard Cup.

The next few days passed in peacefulness. The Hogwarts students finally seemed to respect Draco; they finally accepted he was there and that he had changed. They also accepted his choices, which benefited Hermione. They openly walked through the halls together, commonly greeted by students.
Of course, not all the students favoured Draco because he had become the Triwizard Champion. Out of the few students that sought revenge, one specific student took it to the next extreme, waiting until the right moment to do so.
So on the 2nd-to-last day of school, Draco found a letter sitting on his perfectly-made bed. He picked it up and ripped it open, curious as to who it was from (it was anonymous on the envelope). His blissfulness was swept away the moment set eyes upon it.
Draco,
It has come to my attention you have been involved with a mudblood for the past year. How dare you do such a thing! Sullying your name and especially your family! Associating with mudbloods is one matter, but dating one behind my back is just disgraceful and disgusting!
You aren’t dead... yet. Get rid of her or I get rid of you and her. When you get home, there shall be serious consequences for this. Just because you won some stupid cup and champion title it doesn’t give you the right to neglect your duties.

Yep, that is the end of Fallen.
What do you think will happen? Will Draco do as he wants? Will he follow orders? Will he get killed? Will Hermione get killed by Lucius? Will they escape together?
All will be revealed in Far Away, sequel to Fallen (I'm currently working on Chapter 2).

Ya, well I only have a bit into chapter 3 and there's way to many F.Fs I gotta update...
Ok only 2 but Dreams I caught up to myself and No Matter What only 2 more posts (with only one POV each), so ya, once they're both out of the way I"l start getting somewhere in Only Hope.
That might be in a long while, but it'll be up, promise!

-just realized- My memory just blanked on that (I tried diving under a table and managed to clip it... with my forehead. Don't dive under tables! The guy before me dove under perfectly and since I had to boot it as well I did the same... the exact same except for the hitting my head thing. The three girls in the concession were like 'Jenny's here!' and the guy, Scott, dove under the table and booted it to the multi-purpose room so I did the same and hit my head. The girls only heard a thump and my moan of 'oh my god...'. They then burst out laughing and were like 'are you alright' and stuff... then I tried climbing over and I nearly hit my head landing on the ground since I nearly hit the table a few feet in front of that... then I crawled under the table and I hit the back of my head slightly... THAT TABLE HATES ME!).
Basically ya, major head-hittage within under an hour


I was crying as I ended the last chapter and the end of the chapter before that.
Just all 'OMG, it's ACTUALLY OVER NOW!'
And of course I kinda cried cause I know what happens in the sequel, but I'm not saying anything about that just yet
I do that al the time, doesn't seem like much but once I hit the last chapter or two I'm like, 'Holy... cow! It's almost done! -tear tear-'
I think I was listening to Concrete Angel at the time... sad song and last chapter really mixed for me (that's mainly the only reason I cried at the end of this F.F, that and it was the best F.F I've ever really done before cause it was so fun to do)

I didn't say that he'd be a main character, but I implied it (there). here I'm saying he is because of what happens to Dezi
He was a semi-main character in CYWOM. He was always there, just not in person.
It's possible with how I'm going about the final sequel to that one F.F era

So far only two out of like... uh... including one-shots he didn't die in... 5 (but including Fallen, so 4 others) (not including the one he's in as a dead guy ).
Other than that, he's died in (not including CYWOM where's he's a character but is dead but including one-shots)... 3!
He just seems to die in more, but trust me, he hasn't
