Ok, I'm ALMOST done the next post!

And I just spent about 2ish hours on a one-shot called Goodbye My Lover (by James Blunt). It's a really sad song (I actually cried when I heard it), so if you've never heard it... ya, it's really... sad. It's about breaking up and the pain behind it, but I used the song for a different purpose (when it gets posted, see for yourself )

Actually, it'll only be a few threads down now that I notice the title of this F.F...
But I'll still post the link. But if you do see a thread with the name 'Goodbye My Lover Sa13+', that's the dramione one-shot!

Yeah, it's a Dramione (what'd'ya expect?). I just submitted it so I'll post the link when it gets posted.

Anyways, here's the post. Not super long but I've written shorter one-part chapters.

“So you’re actually going?” Hermione asked Ginny as she added a final spell to Ginny’s hair to give it a bit more volume.

“Well... I may as well get over everything now. A little fun will help.”

“So are you going with friends?”

“Yep,” Ginny responded as she stood up.

“Have fun then,” Hermione responded with a smile.

“Aren’t you coming?”

“Of course I am. I just have some... last finishing touches to do before leaving. I’ll probably see you there,” Hermione replied. Ginny nodded and left the dormitory (Hermione was still staying with Ginny).

As soon as she did, Hermione raised her wand to her hair and did a bunch of quick, yet complex, spell and most of her hair straightened. Naturally, most of the top of her hair held together in loose curls. She rubbed away the occasional wrinkle on the t-shirt she wore - she hadn’t worn it yet this year since she forgot she had it. It was a greyish colour with turquoise and white flower designs and shiny silver sequins highlighting it.

Quickly adding final touches to the make-up Ginny put on her, Hermione let out a sharp, happy breath and left the dormitory. She just realized she spent an hour and a half getting ready for a last-minute party that isn’t even all that much of a dress-up party in the first place. But she didn’t care, she started growing fond of finding days she could make her hair the way it was that night.

Hermione ran down the last staircase and entered the Great Hall.
“I thought you said you weren’t going to dress up.”

Hermione jumped and turned around, facing a smirking Draco.

“I’m not dressed up,” she pointed out.

“Well it’s not formal...”

“Exactly, that’s what I mean by ‘dressed up’.”

“Well to me you’re dressed up.”

Hermione gave him a quick one-over.

“Same to you.”

Draco looked slightly surprised, but the expression vanished when the doors closed and music echoed throughout the room. Hermione squealed from surprise when Draco pulled her farther into the room, but she didn’t object. They lost all track of time, not noticing those around them. It was just them and the music.

The hours melded together until it was 11:45pm, fifteen more minutes until the New Year. Hermione finally pulled out from the dance floor and sat down next to Ginny.

“Having fun?” Ginny asked her with a slight edge.

“Yeah,” Hermione responded honestly. “What about you?”

“Could be better,” Ginny mumbled.

Suddenly, out of the corner of Hermione’s eye, she saw a head of fire-red hair, only a few shades off of Ginny’s, and it was getting closer.
Hesitating, Hermione got up and walked away.

“Where’re you going?” Ginny asked.

“I’ll be back in a few minutes,” Hermione responded as she neared the crowd around the table.

She stuck herself in the middle and took a cup of punch. She drank it slowly, hoping by the time she was finished Ron would be out of sight. She didn’t notice the crowd thinning quickly until she was the only one left at the table.

“Hermione?”

Hermione jumped ever so slightly. She took in the last of the punch and gulped it down quickly. She didn’t want to talk to Ron, she still hadn’t forgiven him for the bruises he left (she still had them faintly, her shirt helped camouflage them a bit. Even if he was desperate he should’ve at least controlled his temper and actions. She opened her mouth to respond, but nothing came out. Instead she just walked away.

“Please...”

Hermione stopped and turned around, arms crossed and a slight glare of anger in her expression. She wasn’t willing to talk, but she would listen.

“Do you honestly want to end the year like this?” he asked.
Hermione didn’t respond, but she didn’t change her stance either.

“How many times do I have to apologize? Besides, you should be the one to apologize more than myself; you were the one that was cheating during...”

“For once just shut up Ronald!” Hermione finally snapped. “You never listen to what you say, let alone think before saying it, that’s what got you into this mess. Yes, you, not me. You caused ‘this’ by being yourself; acting rashly. So don’t expect me to forgive you for doing what you did!”

“Just give me a chance...”

“You said that last time and I still have the bruises for proof. Just leave me alone.” Hermione then turned around and walked off, leaving Ron in shock. Hermione couldn’t help but feel guilty, but she wasn’t ready to forgive him anytime soon.

She went back to Draco just as the countdown started.

"3... 2... 1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

"Draco!" Hermione said loudly over the cheering. He turned to look at her but didn't get a chance to respond. She gave him a new year kiss.

Well, I never. Hermione blowing up at Ron over a guy . . . hmm . . . soulnd fimliar. pams

I'm actually almost done the next post! Yay!
Feels weird without a sig at the moment (at the moment of post there's nothing here )

and Goodbye My Lover is actually up now! (a LOT quicker to come up than my other f.fs or one-shots).
It's my favourite one-shot so far! Seriously... sappy/sad has NEVER been my best point in writing but I finally did better in this one.
Course I was listening to the song the whole time so that kinda helped...
I don't feel like posting the link and probably by the time someone reads this my sig will be up... (again. Changed it last night and I changed it again to this other version of the Fallen banner and added the link to Goodbye My Lover. I already have like... 7 or 8 forms of f.fs! Crazy!)

I noticed this other F.F I started like, many months ago but didn't really get too far because I got stuck. It's an awesome idea but I don't know if it'd work (mainly cause I'm stuck on the 3rd chapter a bit through it).

Anyone wanna know what it's about? (cause I don't wanna post it pointlessly )

oh ya... just a few hours ago I narrowly missed getting killed by a car...

but that's got nothing to do with this
