She stared, startled. It was very hard to stop from calling out. As soon as Draco saw the Portrait hole open, he looked up expectantly. At this, the nervous gleam in his eye deepened. For a moment it was silent, and when Hermione broke it, her voice rang out as if it were awakening the castle itself.
“What are you doing?” She said slowly. “How do you know where our Common Room is?”
He hesitated before answering. “That doesn’t matter. I’m here to give you something, and to pass something onto Potter. The second has nothing to do with me, and I really hate that I have to be the one to pass it along...like an owl.” Some distaste rose out of his voice on the last three words.
Next bit coming in a mo, I just wanted to give Bella something while she waited lol *snuggles*

Hermione processed this. Draco Malfoy was standing at the entrance of the Gryffindor Common Room, very nearly managing civilised conversation.
What’s more, there was something different about him. Hermione scanned him, trying to find the change. It was not his hair, it was not his face, it was not his clothes, it was not his height. It was his eyes. Although they were still grey, icy pools, something was lurking behind. A steady fire was melting the ice, making his expression warmer.
“Okay,” she said slowly, still studying his face. It was so easy; looking at him to forget about Ron and his hatred of the situation she was in. She studied the way his silver hair, messy from the day, smoothed out into different directions, a stray strand hanging just over his eye. She wanted to brush it away, but she knew that she mustn’t. She must have control.
Draco fumbled in his pockets and extracted two envelopes. One was small. The other looked more like a package. He handed them to her, never looking away from her eyes. She took them – her hand brushing his for just a second – then turned and left. She watched him go. When he reached the end of the corridor, he looked back, a confused look on his face, and carried on walking.
Hermione stared after him, her hand still buzzing gently from the moments touch. Anyone want more yet? Im in the mood
