Speak, Please

It was dawn. Hermione had not moved from her place for the entire night. He hair stuck in thick matted strands around her wet face, which gleamed with salty tears. Her eyes no longer shined, but were dull and dead looking, and shot with a heavy redness. Deciding she needed to do something, she heaved herself up and walked out of the bathroom. It was time to plead.

The Burrow was still sleeping. Its corridors were dark and there were no sounds, save for a heavy breathing exuding from each room. It took Hermione longer than expected to make her way to Harry and Ron’s room. She guessed she was biding her time.

Eventually, she reached the door. It loomed in front of her, an unbeatable obstacle which must, somehow, be talked. She went to know, but pulled her hand away quickly as if scared the door would sting her. Taking a deep breath and swallowing hard, she knocked.

There was no noise from within; she knocked again. They were ignoring her. Both of them; even Harry.

Hermione sighed and pushed the door open.

“Please,” she whispered, “please talk to me.”

Awesome! I feel bad sooo bad for Hermione! :'( I hope that they start to talk to her? Plz *pleads with big eyes*

Forgivness, From One

Both boys were lying in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. They gave no recognition that they could here her. Fred and George were still sleeping on the floor.

“Ron,” she said quietly. “Please.” He said nothing, but rolled over in bed to face the wall, a look of upmost loathing on his face.

“Harry,” she appealed. He did not turn away from her.

He asked, “How did this happen, Hermione?”

“I don’t know,” she said quietly, “It just did.”

“And how does Malfoy feel about this?” He asked.

“He...He doesn’t know. Of course he doesn’t. Oh, how could this have happened!” she cried, “Malfoy’s a horrible git! But...But...” she trailed off.

“Are you planning on telling him?” said Harry, speaking as if the idea was absurd.

“Well, I have too,” said Hermione simple.

“But you cant! You know what he’s like Hermione! You’ll be the laughing stock of the school!” His face was reddening now.

“I know,” said Hermione, helplessly, “but I can’t not tell him.”

Harry was quiet for a moment. Then he said, “You’re really serious about this, about him, aren’t you?”

She nodded, a single tear finally escaping.

Harry looked down and sighed. Then, looking up slowly, he patted the space on the bed next to him.
Hermione’s heart jumped. She cracked into a watery smile, and went to sit down next to him. She collapsed against his shoulder, sobbing in gratitude. He stroked her hair, and patted her back.

“Malfoy’s a slimy git, but you’re my best friend, Hermione, and I want you to be happy.”

“Ron.” Said Harry, indicating that it was time for him to forgive her. Ron was still silent. “Ron!” He urged.

Ron shot up in bed, his face crumpled in frustration.

“How can you just forgive her like that, Harry?! She likes Malfoy! Malfoy, for God’s Sake! She’s a traitor, and a user, and a...a...” he struggled for a word strong enough, but couldn’t find one. “Both of you just leave me alone!” He shouted, and banged out of the bedroom, not taking much care to keep from treading on Fred and George, who were waking up, thanks to his shouting, ("Whassgoinon?" said Fred in alarm.)

“What do i do now?” Hermione asked Harry, ignoring Freds outbursts.

“Well, if you’re serious about this, then I’m going to help you, and I’m going to do it properly.” He sighed. “I hate to do it, but I think we need to pay Malfoy a visit."
