Encompassed by yellow and black
Feeling all the time I'm about to slip through the crack
Five long years Hogwarts has been my home
Yet it seems to be the only safe house I've known
But what happens when the great wall turns it back on me?
No where to run, no wear to go, I cannot flee
Can't talk to the professors because they don't get it
I just know I'm falling to pieces bit by bit
Wish I could blink and it would all be made right
That will remain a dream, for my perfect world is out of sight
I'll bite my lip and quiver no more
Because next september I'll still have to walk through the great hall's door

I made a promise to myself a few years ago

Sooner or later love started to pull me in
It was the onset of panic, joy and regret
I could do little to stop it, the course had thus been set

The rest of my guards fell and I yet exposed
Playing a game where anything goes
Wanting a heart that will never be mine
Unrequited love..the most vicious crime

Knowing it's best to just walk away
Convincing the heart it would hurt more to stay
Teary eyes kiss him a solemn goodbye
You scrape the broken pieces up and try not to cry
