 Can't help but read the total opposite of your favourite ship? :)
BTW, with Ron, he'll be coming up in about... two chapters. My favourite scene with him too.

This is a kinda short chapter, so yeah, means I'll probably post later.
The title speaks for itself

Chapter 19
Hermione’s Anti-Imperius Potion

“Come in!”
Hermione opened the door to the office in St. Mungo’s. She sat down in a chair in front of the desk of a doctor.
“So what is it you need?” he asked upfront.
“The anti-potion for the Imperius Curse,” Hermione responded, just as upfront and blunt as the doctor had been. His expression changed drastically.
“What for?”
“To give to my fiancée to rid him of the curse, why else?”
“It’s a very costly potion, and it can have some nasty side effects...”
“Sir, I’m throwing away the money I was supposed to use for my wedding for this single potion. All so I can actually have a wedding that won’t be me walking down the aisle to some guy dropping swears like bombs about getting married to me because I’m a muggle-born and he’s a pureblood. So tell me, can you get me this potion?” Hermione was now standing at the doctor’s desk, gripping the edges forcefully, her face flaming inches away from the doctor’s. Her knuckles went white.
“Do you have two-thousand Galleons?” he asked as he leaned back in his chair, trying to regain his personal space.
Hermione grudgingly pulled out the bag of Galleons in her pocket. She handed it to the St. Mungo’s doctor. He took it gladly, putting it in a drawer. He got up and walked towards what Hermione thought was a filing cabinet. He opened a drawer and went through what seemed to be potions.
“Ah,” he breathed as he pulled out one of them. “This is what you want.”
He handed Hermione a vial.
“Two thousand galleons for that?” she spat, thinking out loud as she took it.
“It’s very powerful, and like I said, can have some nasty side effects. It’ll work like a charm, just put two drops of it in a drink or food and your soon-to-be husband will be back to normal. If nothing happens, which is very rare, just add one drop to a part of his meal a day until he does go back to normal. Put in too much, and the consequences are ghastly...”
“What are some side effect anyways?”
“Boils, extra limbs, claiming to be hearing voices, rapid growing... things out of the ordinary, obviously. If any of that happens, bring him here and all will be fixed. If he’s lucky, nothing bad will happen.”
“Thank you.”
Hermione left St. Mungo’s and Apparated back to the door of Number 12 Grimmauld Place. She went inside and into the kitchen. She saw a few people inside having dinner, the only person missing from the table was Malfoy.
“Where’s Draco?” Hermione asked.
“Upstairs,” Harry responded with a flat tone.
“Has he eaten yet?”
“Nope.”
Hermione smiled and put together a quick plate of food and a drink. Before she went upstairs with it, she added two drops of the potion into the quick sandwich she made him, making his favourite so he wouldn’t be able to resist it. She brought the food upstairs, put it at the floor in front of his door, and knocked on it. She walked away and down the stairs. As she did, she heard his bedroom door open. As she headed downstairs, she realized tomorrow should have been the day she should’ve been married to Draco.

Wow, that was good. Post more soon!!

Cant wait to see if it works...

MalfoyzBeloved 11-11-2006 11:39 PM

BTW, there are 26 chapters in this.
And the next chapter is the 20th. I think the 23rd... yeah, 23rd is the wedding (just so everyone knows).
I'm bored, so I think I'll post the 20th chapter now. It gives the outcome of the Potion, so that's why I feel like posting mainly. I'll be a few (and when it's posted I'll post the chapter with a scene between Draco and Ron :P My favoutire really).
Anyways, here's the next chapter cause I feel like posting it, even if it's only been 2 hrs.

P.S -added at 2.5hrs later-: Yeah, I just submitted a one-shot-song-fic (another Dramione one-shot). Yeah, it'll be up eventually, but if you wanna search, it's titled My Last Breath (the song by Evanescence), and yeah :) I think it's way better than my first one (A Love Lost), and believe me, I surprised myself when I wrote this song-fic-one-shot... I cried myself :gasp: And it's nearly impossible to get me to cry (which is why I'm bad with teary-ish scenes in F.Fs)
Anyways, yeah My Last Breath Sa13+ will be up eventually... kinda long but I used a fair chunk of the song (more than I expected)

Chapter 20
Burning Up

Hermione woke up the next day and felt horrible, both emotionally and physically. It seemed she had caught a nasty cold during the night. She woke up with a plugged, red-tinged nose, eyes resembling a similar red. When she sneezed, her throat burned in agony. Under a down quilt and a top sheet, Hermione still felt freezing cold.
She walked downstairs and into the kitchen to find Harry cooking his breakfast.
“Hermione, you look horrible! What happened?”
Hermione would’ve chuckled but her throat burned too much to do so.
“I sink I gotta cold,” she responded in a rasping, plugged up voice, ‘cold’ sounding more like ‘cod’.
“I can only imagine you in a white dress and walking down the aisle like this...”
Hermione glared as she sat down. He put on a second pot for Hermione’s breakfast, trying to help by making chicken noodle soup. If it can’t cure her, nothing else will, as everyone Harry knew always put it. Besides, Madam Pomfrey gave it to him when he suffered a horrible cold similar to Hermione’s in 7th year during the spring and it really did the trick.
“Soup for breakfast?”
Hermione looked at the kitchen door and saw Ron coming in.
“Not for you,” Harry responded as he stirred it.
“Then who for?” he asked, knowing Hermione was in the room, but he didn’t notice her red face, along with her expression, which was just as horrible as she felt.
“For Hermione, take a look and you’ll know.”
Ron glanced at Hermione momentarily.
“Oh,” he mumbled as he sat down at the end of the table, far away from a sick Hermione.
Ron and Harry talked about the latest Chudley Canons game while breakfast was being made. When it was finished, Harry gave Ron a plate, since he made enough for six people, knowing full well Ron would take enough for two (he was still a pig with food), and took out a bowl and put all the soup he made for Hermione into it. He slid it down the table to her.
“Thanks,” Hermione said as she grabbed the hot bowl. It came out more like ‘sanks’, but Harry knew what she meant.
She cooled it down so she could be able to eat it without burning her throat even more than it already was. She gulped it all down and went back upstairs to grab another book she had. Coming back down with it, she started heading for the door leading outside.
“You shouldn’t be going outside, Mione.”
She stopped.
“Why?”
“Unless you want to go to St. Mungo’s because of ‘just a cold’, go ahead. If not, stay in here.”
Hermione sat down at the head of the table and started reading. After the first two pages, she started feeling dizzy. Her book slowly sank onto the table.
“Want to go back to bed?”
She shot back up. Her head throbbed in response. Apparently she had fallen asleep on the table. She grunted and got onto her feet, walking out of the kitchen and up the stairs like a robot. She fell into her bed, slipped under the covers and fell asleep for the rest of the day. She slept through lunch, not waking up until four in the afternoon to the feeling of something shaking her.
Her eyes fluttered open, and before her, a blurred image of a pale faced blonde was in front of her, sitting on the edge of her bed right by her.
“Draco?” she whispered, barely audible to him. She seemed to have lost her voice even more. He smiled warmly.
“Heard you had a nasty cold, so I just thought I could see how you were doing.”
The potion Hermione got from St. Mungo’s had worked, and she couldn’t have been happier. He didn’t have any signs of side effects, which made everything better.
“Thanks.” It sounded more like ‘sans’ now.
“I can only imagine you saying ‘I do’ in a white dress... more like ‘ah ooh’ really...”
Hermione would’ve whacked him playfully, but when she tried to raise her arm, it dropped back down, it felt like lead two times her own body weight.
“Speaking of which, Potter said you spent about two thousand galleons... that’s all I heard. Where’d you get it all?”
“Wedding money,” Hermione responded in an even worse rasping voice. Draco managed to keep a straight face.
“What for?”
“To get you back to normal.”
“Normal?”
“Imperius Curse... you...” Hermione lost her voice for a moment. “You were under Imperios curse.” She managed to get out a full response that sounded like something before loosing her voice again.
“Well until you feel better, I don’t want to hear you speak,” Draco said in a soft, yet demanding way as his hand caressed her hair. He kissed her cheek and left.

I'm freezing cold, hold me Draco! :)

I just saw Nacho Libre, REALLY awesome movie, loved it :P
P.S -added 4 hrs later-: Yeah, if anyone wants to read yet another one of my Dramione one-shots, it's a song-fic-one-shot (as I put it :)), and can is based on the song My Last Breath by Evanescence (click on 'My Last Breath' to go to the one-shot).
Personally, I think it's much better than A Love Lost, but that's mainly cause I used Draco's POV more so than Hermione's. Heck, it's Draco's POV in 3rd person really! Go there, read it, and enjoy it I s'pose.
Sarah
P.S: Not updating until I see another comment/post :) I'm ready and waiting, but until I see a post of some1 elses, not posting another chapter :P

I was just waiting til some1 commented (I've been saying that on like, all my threads this week, I mean, for some people there's Rememberance/Memorial Day Weekend, but I don't wanna be posting a heck of a lot and have like, no comments). And thanx of course :)
Next post=next chapter (now :P And finally I guess.... been waiting)

MalfoyzBeloved 11-13-2006 07:40 PM

Yeah, this chapter I like the scene with Ron... :P
It's the chapter right before the wedding, so I'll post that as well today and wait a day or two... ;)
Ok, yeah, um... with the ****, the word starts with a P, has an I after it and a double S, but since you can't say it apparently, if you see that anywhere, that's what the star thingies/astrofixes or whatever they are mean.

Chapter 21
Draco’s Problem

It took Hermione nearly two weeks to get over the cold, and by that time Draco had been able to find four thousand Galleons and five hundred sickles that belonged to his parents, which was really his inheritance in the end. He caught a small cold for three days from being around Hermione, but he said she was worth it. He never got any side effects from the Anti-Imperius Curse Potion, which Hermione was very happy about. They managed to re-plan the wedding day, putting it off until the winter. By this time, every had been able to accept the engagement and some of them started feeling happy for the soon-to-be wedded couple, even if they weren’t all that thrilled, they were ok with it.
A few weeks before the wedding, which was re-planned to January 7th (out of story... again, I also like the 7th... it’s my mum’s b-day that day :P), Draco had a problem. He knew Hermione had her bridesmaids and Maid of Honour all together, matching dresses and everything else, but he didn’t even have a Best Man, let alone groomsmen (out of story, or is it groomsmaids? I heard it’s ‘groomsmaids’, but it sounds ridiculous... I have no idea, sounds better the other way to me). Draco had an idea a few weeks before, but pushed it away as soon as it came to mind. Realizing he had no one left, it looked like he had to.
“Potter,” Draco said flatly.
Harry looked up.
“Malfoy,” Harry responded in a similar tone.
Draco sat down in the chair across the kitchen table from him.
“I need your help.”
Harry chuckled. Draco’s eyes narrowed warningly, ever so slightly.
“What would a Malfoy need help with?”
“Apparently a wedding. I need to ask you something.”
Harry waited. He found it rather amusing, yet unimaginable, that Draco Malfoy needed help from him, Harry Potter, the ‘son of a muggle-born and blood traitor’. Draco looked down at his hands, which were on the table.
“Can you be my best man...?”
Harry’s eyes widened slightly. He barely heard what Draco said, but he knew what it was.
“I’m sorry, what did you say?” Harry asked with a playful smile.
Draco ground his teeth for a moment. He then looked up.
“Can you be my best man for this wedding?” he asked a bit more clearly.
Harry was still stunned at the question.
“Why do you want me to be your best man?” Harry asked.
“As you might’ve noticed, I don’t exactly have any true friends,” Draco practically snapped. “And I thought since you were bugging me about ‘not paying you back for everything’, this might help ‘pay back’ a bit.”
Harry chuckled and shook his head. He was surprised Malfoy still remembered the row that happened over half a year ago. Heck, Harry was surprised that he himself even forgot, because of all the pain it caused both him and Hermione.
“You really desperate enough to ask me?”
“Basically,” Draco responded with a smirk.
“Fine, but just don’t expect me to take up this type of favour all the time,” Harry responded, grinning mockingly.
Draco nodded curtly, both in acceptance and in thanking him, and left. He knew it was even lower to do what he was about to do, but he had to, he knew no one else left. He would end up having only two groomsmen, one of them being his best man. He stopped in front of the bedroom door, and he knocked. The door suddenly opened on him.
Draco saw Ron about to slam the door right in his face, but he acted quickly.
“I can’t believe I’m here either, Weasley,” he said. “And I can’t believe I’m going to say this to you of all people either, but I need to ask you something.”
Ron seemed to be considering if he should accept Malfoy or slam the door.
“You’ve already taken away enough from me, so why should I even bother doing you a favour?”
As he tried to close his door, Draco stuck his foot in between the door and the wall. It squeezed his foot as Ron pushed harder, but the door opened again.
“What?” Ron snapped.
“I have to ask you something, and closing the door on my face will just waste your time as well as mine.”
Ron scowled and flung the door open farther so he could see outside his bedroom clearly, but he didn’t make any indication to move.
“What type of prat needs help?”
“How like a Weasley to treat one with such hospitality,” Draco sneered sarcastically.
Ron tried to slam the door in Draco’s face, but his foot blocked the way again. He took the crushing pain Ron was trying to inflict upon his foot.
“Out of all the years we’ve known each other, Weasley, I thought you’d know me a bit better,” Draco said in a similar sneering way.
Ron didn’t respond as he let the door go again slightly.
“If I want something, I get it. And to both your surprise as well as mine, I need to talk to you, and I’m not leaving until I get that.”
Ron scowled again as he opened his door, again.
“What the bloody hell do you want?”
“If you’d be my groomsman.”
Ron’s face flared in anger as he tried to slam the door again, this time with all his might. Draco clenched his jaw at the intensity of the door closing, but he didn’t look like he suffered much, let alone any pain.
“Why do you want me?” Ron snapped.
“You’re the last one left more so than me really wanting you to be a groomsman.”
Again, Ron scowled and tried to slam the door. Draco knew he’d be having trouble walking tomorrow after this, but as long as Ron agreed, he wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon.
“Would you just **** off?”
“Not until you’ll accept.”
“I don’t want to be your so-called groomsman anymore than you want me to, so why bother?”
“You’d be missing out on working with Potter, nearly as an equal.”
Ron raised an eyebrow.
“What makes you say I’m not his equal at work?”
“It’s obvious you aren’t, Weasley.”
For the fifth time, Ron tried to slam the door on Draco, but his foot got in the way. The strength of the slam was much more extreme, but this time, Ron kept the strength up for a bit, knowing Draco would have to give up eventually.
He didn’t.
Ron scowled, opening the door once more.
“You’re not going to break me like you did with Harry, Malfoy.”
Draco merely smirked.
“Who said I had to break him? It wasn’t all that hard anyways.”
For the sixth time, Ron tried to slam the door on Draco’s foot, as well as his face. Again, he failed, but he kept it up for a straight five minutes. Draco ended up starting to tense up and wince at the pain, but it was released once more, since he didn’t give up, and he put on his regular, guarded yet cool expression. Ron still looking flaming angry, but he seemed to be debating with himself.
“So I’d need a tux?”
“I’d easily rent one for you, considering how you’d need it that way.”
Ron clenched his jaw, but didn’t slam the door.
“If I accept, you’ll leave me be until you little wedding?” Ron asked through gritted teeth.
Draco nodded.
“Fine,” Ron spat. “I’ll be your bloody groomsman. Now go away.”
Draco removed his foot, and Ron slammed his bedroom door with so much force, Draco knew if that was his foot, it would’ve been shattered completely
.

MalfoyzBeloved 11-13-2006 10:07 PM

Lol. I just had to make a scene where he wasn't shown ALL that bad... (I wrote that awhile back and came to that conclusion :))
Anyways, I can't wait to post the wedding, so next post is THE WEDDING CHAPTER!
And I swear, after that chapter is posted... you'll have a day or two to wait and see... what happens... -cackles-
yeah, next post=next chapter :) As normal

MalfoyzBeloved 11-13-2006 10:10 PM

This chapter is kinda short, but you'll enjoy it none-the-less I assume :)
I'm leaving ya at a cliffie... something just HAD to happen, everything was so smooth and perfect...
I wrote this a few minutes after I found out my horse had to be put down (he was only 3), so I kinda got the idea from that... no, no one dies in this chapter! Just saying overall the rest of this F.F is kinda inspired from the news of my horse kinda being killed... (it was a few weeks back now, fine, October 27th!)

Chapter 22
The Wedding Gone Wrong

For the next few days, Draco was limping around Grimmauld Place slightly, but all he cared about was getting his job done. He was finally able to go through with the second planned wedding without any problems. He might be one groomsman short traditionally, but he didn’t care, not at all. He really just cared about getting it close enough so he could go through with the day without Hermione badgering him about ‘not following tradition’. Of course, Hermione probably still would for only having two groomsmen, but since they were her friends (Ron wasn’t much of a friend, but as long as he got Harry, who was more of a friend than Weasley, it didn’t matter).

“Ready to go, Dezi?” Hermione asked her daughter.
Dezi nodded eagerly.
“You know what to do?”
Dezi nodded again.
“Good. Now go out there and be the best flower girl you can be!”
Dezi beamed and walked to the doors, which opened for her, and she headed for the aisle, which was a red carpet atop the snow of the outdoors. The doors from the building the girls were in closed behind her.
“Do you think I’m ready?” Hermione asked as she turned to Ginny, Lavender and Parvati.
“Of course!” Ginny exclaimed, quietly of course.
“As long as you think you are... you are,” Lavender said.
The girls giggled. Suddenly, the doors started opening slowly.
“Now you guys, go!” Hermione told them.
Ginny chuckled and walked in front of Lavender, who was in front of Parvati. They walked in between the chairs and down the aisle. As Hermione looked out of the closing doors, she couldn’t help but chuckle when she saw Harry’s expression as he watched Ginny. The doors closed completely after a moment, and Hermione waited by herself. She would’ve paced, but with the small train, she didn’t want to risk it. It seemed so sudden that the day had come; it felt like she had no time.
The doors slowly opened, and Hermione didn’t see anything, it was all white to her. She realized that it started snowing. Smiling, she left the building and slowly made her way to the aisle, walking down it at the same pace. The snowflakes met with her hair, making it glimmer white before melting. The extra seats were covered with a glistening white, sparkling like diamonds. By the time Hermione made it to the ‘alter’, her hair also resembled diamonds.
Before she knew it, the priest had started with his stretching speech. She heard the comment that all priests she had seen do a wedding ceremony.
“If anyone has any objections to this union, please speak now or forever hold your peace!”
“I’ve got a problem with it,” a cold voice sneered from the back.
Everyone turned and looked towards the back, and before they knew it, a group of Death Eaters advanced on Draco and Hermione. The group had dragged the couple away, Disapparating before the very eyes of the group.

MalfoyzBeloved 11-13-2006 10:12 PM

now I leave you all with that!
I'll post in a day or two... depends on... how I feel :) -is happy there's finally another suspenseful cliffie-
And my new rule is when I feel like posting, I have to see a comment other than mine to post (aka, from now on, which is only like, 4 chapters left here, I have to see someone else having commented, other than me obviously :P, before I post the next chapter).

MalfoyzBeloved 11-14-2006 04:10 AM

Wel, my other Dramione has Ron in it (he's a bit bigger in the story, AND he isn't portrayed as 'bad', I actually tried to make him seem... his normal self) -pokes my other F.F Fallen since I finished a part about Ron and Hermione... awhile back-
So yeah, my other story Fallen is kinda turning into a Dramione+Ron story.
Anyways yeah... I swear I'll post tomorrow (but kinda later cause I don't wanna rush, the next chapter... never mind, it's the one with draco and hermione, my favourite like, of all time with them together neways, so I'll post that later tomorrow

MalfoyzBeloved 11-14-2006 11:21 PM

Ok, for once I actually can’t think of a name for a chapter... so yeah, this chapter’ll be just titled ‘chapter 23’ until I can think of one.
I personally love this chapter the most. I think it shows how caring Draco really is on the inside (and it my best writing in my opinion... you all might think differently on that tho).
Anyways, enjoy :)

Chapter 23
Together in the End

Hermione was thrust back into the dark dungeon, trembling in pain and fear. She had, after being forced into another set of regular, ragged clothes, witnessed the torture of Draco, who was also put into similar robes, and then went through with hers, having him forced to watch hers the way she had with his. (outta story, ok, if that confused you people, don't blame you, just didn't want to have Hermione go through ruining the white wedding dress being all... ya, just tried to make it known they weren't in formal clothes when... tortured I guess).
She curled up against the wall, feeling weak to the stomach. She had not eaten anything since the night before, and now it was well into the evening the next day. She heard the screaming voices of the Death Eaters jeering and calling names to Draco as he had been tortured under the Cruciatus Curse and even some physical beating by the group of four. They all said he was a disgrace, fooling around with a mudblood, lowest of the low for someone such as a Malfoy, all saying the name should be stripped from him.
He tumbled into the room, grunting as he landed on a bunch of bruises, thrown in by one of the Death Eaters. As well as Hermione, his hands and feet had been bound; the cloth covering his eyes had been removed moments before.
The creaking and groaning of the dungeon door shut, leaving Draco and Hermione to themselves in the dark. They couldn’t see a thing, it was no different than having a cloth covering their eyes moments before. It was well into the night, the small windows along the walls were pitch black.
“Mione?” Draco whispered.
“Dr... Draco,” Hermione managed to get out between shaky breaths.
She heard movement, and then she felt something moving up her lower leg. She just assumed it was Draco trying to find his way to her through the darkness. A few moments later, she felt his body pressed slightly against hers.
“I’m so sorry,” he murmured into her ear.
“It’s not your fault,” Hermione said pointedly, just as quiet.
Draco managed to slip the tight binds on his hands and wrists, dropping it onto his lap. He rolled them, the bones cracking in disagreement to the sudden movements after nothing for a day.
“What.. what was that?” Hermione asked warily, her breaths still shaky.
“Don’t worry, it was just me,” Draco responded in a soft, soothing voice.
“What’d you do?”
“Found out how to take my binds off, I can take yours off if you want.”
He felt Hermione shifted, most likely turning around to face him, and she seemed to sit up more. He sat but more as well, pushing up off the ground since he could. He heard slipping, Hermione trying to sit up but unable to do so successfully.
“Need some help?” he couldn’t help but ask in a slight mocking way. He heard Hermione growl. She seemed to try again another few times before giving up.
“However possible you can help, go ahead!” she snapped in an undertone.
She felt Draco’s warm hands and arms run up her arms slowly as he tried to find out what he was touching. Her tensed-up body relaxed automatically, and she let out a sigh at his soft touch. His left hand faltered on her right shoulder as he tried to maneuver it so he could go down Hermione’s side. He found her waist, and he lightly, yet with a strong pull, lifted Hermione into a sitting position.
He mumbled something and his hand found her arms again. They ran down her arms again, and he found the binds. He loosened them enough to slip off Hermione’s wrists, but not so much that she wouldn’t be able to put them back on and tighten it as if nothing was out of the ordinary. He dropped it onto her lap so she could find it later. Hermione angled her body slightly more towards the outline of Draco a bit more. She would’ve moved her body completely, but she was in to much pain as it was.
She scooted forwards more, now completely pressed up into Draco. One of his arms somehow had been able to squeeze in between her and the wall and it wrapped around her back. He managed to find her lips and they had a long, soft yet passionate kiss.
After Hermione pulled away, she rested her head on his chest, and one of her arms around the middle of his back. Draco held her close, fearful of all the possible things that could take her away from him. He felt Hermione’s light breathing upon his body, and it calmed and relaxed him slightly, enough to fall asleep.
