My fic is set just after Cedric's burial ... Disclaimer: If I owed the characters of Harry Potter, I'd have to be J.K Rowling and very rich. Since I'm neither of those ... I guess I don't own them.

Chapter 1: Magic he should Have Remembered



“The other boy… you are sure the other boy is dead?”“Yes my Lord. I-I am mo-most certain of it,”

“Yet, I felt something as if he were… alive.” The man said with great distain and hate. It was spoken in a slithered tone. Almost like a snake. “Only if his sole mate was alive. Re-remember m-my Lord? The true love…”



“WORMTAIL! How could you forget? How could I forget? How…”“My Lord… please.”“No! He was another witness if he could hear! You must kill him. He will also be a where of my return. GO! But leave Potter to me. You must kill the other boy.”



“It I-is an old form of magic, very few in re-recent years have been able to…”



“Yes… but,” The evil man said. “True love still exists. NOW GO!”

Hermione watched over Cedric's grave, tears shining in her eyes. She had put off her feelings for the handsome Hufflepuff by dating Viktor Krum. This, of course, did not ease her feelings for Cedric.



"Cedric. I tried, I really did ... I can't hide them forever ..." she whispered.



‘Help me! Help me someone! Please….’It sound like someone was pleading. Where was the voice coming from?



“Help me! Please! Anybody! Please hear me! Someone…”



It sounded like Cedric. But he was dead. Dead, lifeless and underground.



“Cedric?” she asked.



She found Dumbledore and walked up to him.



“Um … Professor. I have something that I wish to tell you.” Hermione said



“What is it, Miss Granger?” Dumbledore asked the young teen.



“This may seem a little crazy and stupid. But Cedric Diggory is not dead.



“I do not think it’s crazy at all Miss Granger. It could be possible that Mr Diggory is buried alive.”



Dumbledore walked with Hermione back to Cedric’s grave. He performed a complicated spell to lift Cedric’s coffin from the ground. He opened it up, and indeed, Cedric was alive and breathing. Slowly. But he was breathing nonetheless.



“Mr Diggory, can you hear me?” Dumbledore asked.



Cedric tried to move and speak. But he couldn’t. He was paralyzed, blind and muted.



“Hermione, I can only hear, I can’t speak, move or see!”



Cedric was pleading to her. Looking into Cedric’s open, clouded-over grey eyes, she whispered to him



“It’ll be alright, I promise.”



“Miss Granger, wiat here with him, I’ll summon Madame Pomfrey.” Dumbledore said, and walked towards the castle.



Amos Diggory saw Hermione and Cedric and walked to them.



“Young lady, what on Earth are you doing with my son out of his grave, where he was laid to rest?” Amos demanded.



“Um … Please sir. Cedric’s alive, though the only thing he can do is hear things right now …” Hermione explained, terrified at the sudden outburst of Cedric’s dad.



Amos looked at Cedric. “And where’s Dumbledore?” he asked her.



“He’s gone to get the matron.” She told him, attempting to haul Cedric’s body gently out of the coffin, but he was too heavy for her.

Dumbledore came back to them. "Ah, Amos. What brings you here?" he asked.

"I caught this girl getting my son out of his coffin, and then she announces he's not dead, Albus!" Amos cried, pointing a finger at Hermione.

"How is that possible for him to be alive when we all saw him, quite literally dead?" Hermione asked.

"Love, Miss Granger. An unconditional love not known by either you or Mr Diggory. Have you felt any love for him at all, Miss Granger?" he asked, looking at her throught his half moon spectacles.

Hermione nodded, blushing. "I tried to stop myself falling in love with him by dating Viktor. It didn't work ..." she trailed off.

"Because your heart is quite set on young Mr Diggory." he told her. He then turned to Amos. "What has Cedric been like?"

"Well, he never usd to pay attention to Cho, always looking at some other girl. I mean the pair said they loved each other but I doubt he really loved her. Like this young girl here, he could have been burying his true feelings." Amos said.

"Just what I thought." Dumbledore said thoughtfully. "Miss Granger have you spoken to your friends about your feelings?"

"No. Ron would go into a temper about it, and I don't know how to tell Harry. I get all nervous about it." Hermione admitted, looking into Cedric's grey eyes.

"Maybe you should tell Mr Potter, he might be able to help you." Dumbledore suggested.

Hermione nodded at went back to trying to get Cedric out of his coffin.

"Miss Granger put the boy down!" Madame Pomfrey scolded as she advanced towards them.

Hermione gently removed her hands away from Cedric. "I w-was just trying to help." she said.

"Is this true, that a mistaken death has occured? or are you playing tricks?" she asked as she clucked and henned around Hermione and Cedric, surveying the 14 year old with beady eyes.

"It is true, Poppy. It is Miss Granger who found out when Mr Diggory pleaded to her through using mind control to speak to her." Dumbledore said. "It seems that an old magic has occured and only Miss Granger can hear what he is saying."

"Possible, possible." Madame Pomfrey said. She conjured up a stretcher from nowhere and lifted Cedric into it. "Hm. He is breathing. so he is alive. But only just. Let's get him up to the Hospital Wing."

"How?!" Amos demanded. "Before we buried him, he was very cold and blue in parts! How can he be alive now?!" He didn't understand what was going on. He was torn between believing Cedric is alive and not wanting his hopes to be risen.

Like I said, Amos. An unconditional, true love." Dumbledore said.

I like it, it's extremely different!

Madame Pomfrey moved Cedric up to the Hospital wing, in the private chamber at the end of the ward.Amos Diggory and Dumbledore still trying to comprehend Cedric predicament.

“Can’t they give it a rest already?” Hermione heard. she could feel Cedric’s cocky smile. She smiled a miserable smile to herself. And walked through to the privet chamber.

“He’s awake.” she walked over to the bed side. His gray eves looked into her deep, brown chocolate ones. But they didn’t, they were unfocused. New tears fell down my face. “he’s blind!”

“And mute. He can’t speak.” Madam Pomfrey said from the corner. “And he’ll be lucky if he’ll ever be able to move again.”

Amos started crying for his son again. This was too much. It was too much. Hermione's hair fell around her and leaned against Cedric’s face.

‘Mione, get my father out, I can’t take this. I’m not deaf.” I sat there shocked. Cedric had only met her once, and he already was calling her ‘Mione.’ And he could hear everything.

“Um…” she stuttered, “Mr. Diggory, Cedric … um, he would like you to leave.” The man busted into an uproar.

“You have no right you brainless girl! How DARE you tell me that! You have no right! You stupid, stupid girl…”

“Out Amos,” This came from Dumbledore, his voice was thick and stern and left no room fro argument. The man left in a huff giving one last glare at me and slammed the door behind him. Cedric shifted under the covers, his eyes shutting tight and opening again. His blond hair was soaked with sweat from pain he was no doubt suffering.

“Are… are you Hermione Granger?” A woman with thick blond hair said from behind her. She was very beautiful. “I’m Cedric’s mother. And, I wanted to thank you for saving my son. I just arrived. My name is Grace.”

“Mum,”

“He’s glad to see you.” the woman shifted down and gave her son a hug she held him for along time. Cedric’s eyes shifted unfocused around, trying to find her, but knowing he never would.

“How will you take you’re pay?” She asked me when she left her son go.

“My… my what?” she asked in a quiet shaken voice.

“You’re pay. You’re the only one who can hear him, who can understand him. You… you. Oh, miss Granger I hate to do this to someone who has their whole life ahead of them.” She looked sadly at her son. “But… um, oh how do I say this?”

“I need you to be his guardian. His nurse, his life.”

“I’ll do it.” she said, with the utmost confidence.

Chapter 2: Taking care of him

“You’re really taking care of me? Why are you throwing your life away?” Hermione tucked her hair behind her ears and sat on the great white medical bed.
“Didn’t you hear Dumbledore? He said we had to figure this out by ourselves.” She paused to take a deep breath. “There has to be a reason why I can hear you.”

“You hardly know me…”

“I met you before the World Cup.”

“Before all this started?”

“Yes.” She took his hand. And gave it a gentle squeeze.

“Don’t…” Hermione took her hand away in an instant and placed it back timidly in her lap. She felt like a child again… a child taking care of her superior.

“I can’t hold you back.” Hermione tried so hard not to cry. He had dealt with so much… all of them had. She wanted to comfort him somehow. She was a kind, compassionate person, and to do nothing while Cedric just sat there tormented her.

“You’re so young, I mean you’re too young to be living like this. To be taking care of me all the time.”

“It’s something I am willing to do.”

“You mean it’s a sacrifice you’re willing to make…”

“That’s not what I said and you know it.”

“It’s what you meant. Mione, what about your education?”

“I multi-task well.”

“Social life?”

“Never had one…”

“Love?”

“Love?” Hermione paused and took another deep shuddering breath. She had never really thought about love. But she was almost fifteen, a time when most couples and relationship’s blossom, and the want to have someone ‘to have and to hold till death do you part,’ started to grow strong.

“I have to live my life for you now Cedric.” Hermione said after taking a deep gasp inward.

“Because I can’t take care of myself.” Hermione slammed her eyes shut. They had reached the topic of his disabilities. “Hermione, how long will I be like this, will I ever be able to see again, walk again?”

“I don’t know Cedric.”

“So… I guess I’m stuck like this?” She watched him as he turned to her, his eyes crossed and imprecise trying to picture her in front of him.

“For the time being yes. But… at least you’re alive.”

“I’d rather be dead.” Hermione instantly felt weak in her limbs and a hole appear in her stomach. The silence that followed was grisly and terrible. Cedric, with nothing to preoccupy his thoughts to take away his pain, was squirming, thrashing all over, his eyes squinted and shut tight, sweat beaded his brow and snaked through his thick blond curls.

“Cedric, stop.” Hermione said firmly. He did, only when Hermione reached out and grabbed his shoulders and forced him to stop. His body racked with pain and fatigue obliged. “I thought they said you could hardly move.”

“Unless I have a pain spasm.” He sounded far and distant, and his hurting was so eminent, Hermione could almost feel it in herself.

“If you are in this much pain and have so little energy how can you think things to me?”

“That doesn’t take much energy. I have no idea why. I feel as if my head was never touched by a curse.”

“Cedric… what you just did a few moments ago, it… it looked as if you very under the Cruciatus Curse.”

“I think I was. With death comes pain. Hermione, I was almost dead. I don’t know how I lived. I don’t really want to know why I lived.”

“What happens if for some really… bizarre and slightly random reason the curse hits you again?”

“Then I suffer through it.” His tone there was they way she had known him when he had been alive. It was strong and determined and a hair of cockiness was renowned. Hermione took the moment to really study him. He looked exactly the same, minus his imprecise eyes. His gray-green eyes were still bright, but he shut them in weariness and he looked at ease. His thick eyebrows and long eyelashes were still the same. His thick blond curly hair hadn’t changed, and Hermione just wanted to run her hands through it to know what it felt like. His cheeks still held the natural pink glow that looked as if he had been running. His red lips were parted slightly to breathe in air. His chiseled features were just and handsome, just as stunning.

“Beautiful.” Hermione had said it before she had even realized it. She smiled to herself though when she realized he had fallen into a content and peaceful slumber. He was finally asleep. The day was finally done.

Hermione lifted her wand and lit a roaring fire in the near by hearth. She dimmed the lights. Cedric was shivering from her not being beside him to keep him warm. She ran to a near by chair and grabbed another blanket and put it over his bandaged chest. She grabbed another blanket for herself, a pillow and placed it in front of the fire.

She fell asleep fast n the cold hard ground, and in her dreams were visions and swimming images of tournaments and mazes, evil and spells, darkness and light, a future, a past, and most of all:

Cedric Diggory.

Chapter 4: starting to fulfill a promise made.

A few weeks later, still hurt by Cho's remarks about him, Cedric carried on with life. Struggling with learning from his carer. Still not being able to see, he was very, very slowly getting his speech back, and trying to move, but still not being able to much. He sighed in frustration of getting his bones to work, thinking that his predicament was unfair.

"Ced. I know you can do this. I know it's difficult." Hermione said, holding his hands, willing him to try and stand.

"It's not fair 'Mione. I can't do it." Cedric told her.

"Yes you can." Hermione wrapped an arms around his waist and with all her strength and his, she gently willed him to stand up.

Cedric moved one leg wobbly in front of the other as Hermione slowly walked with him.

"It's ok, Ced. Just try. I won't let you fall." she promised, silently hoping he wouldn't fall, for she knew full well that if he should fall, he'd be taking her to the floor with him.

Her words boosted Cedric's confidence, and he confidentally moved a bit away from her so he could try on his own, but still keeping her in close contact. He couldn't see, so he had to feel his way around, Hermione steering him. He walked slowly to a near by table, Hermione at close aid.

"It's too hard." Cedric said to her.

"You're trying to be a bit more confident than you can handle. Take it one bit at a time." Hermione said, looking at him sympathetically.

He looked at her, his vision blurry, but still in the dark blindness.

Hermione felt him wrap his arms around her the best he could, and she hugged him back.

"You'll get there, my love. You'll get there." she whispered, brushing her fingers through his soft hair.

Cont. Chapter 4: Repeat After Me.

She gave up trying to get him to walk, and decided to let Harry help her with getting him to try and speak instead.

Every time he or Hermione tried to get him to say simple words like a baby's first word, Cedric sighed in frustration and turned his head away, tears falling from his blind, grey eyes.

"I know it's frustrating, but you're almost there." Hermione comforted the blind, disabled boy.

Cedric opened his mouth to disagree, but his dead vocal chords wouldn't let him speak and he choked on the air. Hermione comforted him and hugged him.

"I ... ar ... do ... i 'Er'ioe..." he said weakly.

"You can. You just have to try. I know it';s awful that you're forced to be in this position where you can't do anything or you can but your confidence is damaged. But I know deep down in that big, Hufflepuff heart of yours, that you have the confidence of a Gryffindor." Hermione, she whispered, mustering up her own confidence to have him back to his normal self.

"No I can't." he told her. "You may as well give up now, because it won't work."

"It will work. You WILL get your voice back. You WILL be able to move and see again." Hermione swore to him.

"It won't work HERMIONE!" he heard himself shout.

"S-say it again." Hermione stammered, shocked, looking from Harry to Cedric.

Cedric knew he had to. Not for himself, but for her. "H-Hermione." he said, smiling. He realised then that he had finally spoken one true word. "I ... wan ... o ... ry ...aen." he tried to say. "Why can I only say your name right now?"

Hermione took it as 'I want to try again' and took his hand in her own small ones. "I don't know, Ced. Just keep trying and your brain will register the words. That's how children speak, they try. Which means no giving up." she said, as Harry put Cedric's other arm around his shoulders. The pair finally got Cedric standing and slowly walking.

"Le ... e ... go. I'll ..try ... on ... y ...own." Cedric said and he felt the pair leave his side. He started taking small baby steps, feeling around, everything still blurry. He motioned for Harry or Hermione when he needed them.

Harry had told Hermione he was going to see how Ginny was and was going to ask her out. Leavng the room as he heard her say happily, "You're doing it Cedric!"

Moments later, still smiling to himself, his legs gave way and he collapsed in a heap on the floor, narrowly missing the fireplace.

"Cedric!" she cried and rushed to his side. She could feel his cocky smirk, even when he wasn't physically doing it.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

"...Eah ..." he said, which she took and 'yeah'.

She pushed a few of the golden locks that had falled as she rolled him over on to his back.

"Hermione?" Harry asked from the doorway, making her jump in surprise.

"Hi Harry. How'd it go?" she asked, as he sat down next to her.

"Ginny's gone to Malfoy. Malfoy of all people! He's a bloody Death Eater wannabe! When I told her how I felt, she said I was lying and said it was Ron talking, that he wanted us two to be together because he fancies you."

"Yeah, he told me how he felt, then flew off the handle when I said I had to look after Cedric. Haven't been on speaking terms with the pig-headed Weasley since.

He hugged her sympathetically"You can't look after Diggory on your own you know."

She nodded as Harry lifted Cedric back on to his chair. "I promised his parents though. And I let you help me with his speaking." she said.

"Yeah I know. What you don't realise is that you're too **** stubborn for your own good and don't ask for help when you need it." Harry laughed.

Hermione giggled. "I'm independant that's why. I'll cope. You heard him speak my name and try ever so hard to speak more words." she looked to Cedric. "He's tried walking on his own. But You've seen him, he can only walk with all his strength and willpower and with me there with him."

"If he falls, he'll take you to the floor with him you know that." Harry grinned.

Laughing, she nodded.

"He'll get there, and sooner or later, he'll say 'Hermione, thanks for everything but I don't need your help anymore. I'm going back to my girlfriend, Cho.' and you'll have to let him go. My words might be harsh but they're true. he told her. It hurt him to say those words, but it had to be said.

She looked hurt, and avoided Harry's gaze. she walked over to Cedric.

"Don't listen to him. I'd never leave you Hermione. Not after what that b***h said." Cedric told her.

"he says you're lying." she smirked, knowing Harry wouldn't have a clue what she was on about. She was right. Harry gave her a confused look.

"Hermione." Cedric said, alerting both teens.

"Cedric, don't worry I'm right here." Hermione said, running a hand through his hair.

He can't hear you, can he 'Mione?" Harry asked.

"Oh, yes. Of couse he can." Hermione said. "That's how he could say my name and try other words."

"I've got to go anyway. Coming to dinner?" he asked.

Hermione shook her head. "You could bring me something up though."

Harry nodded and walked out.

Chapter 5: One step at a time.

2 months later, Cedric's words had prgressed. Still desperately wanting his life back and wanting to see the young beautiful witch in front of him, who willingly gave her life up for him.

Hermione had agreed to let Harry keep helping her with getting Cedric walking again.

"Hermione, if we get him walking again, how is he going to see?" Harry asked.

Hermione shrugged. "I'll find a way. I promised his parents and I don't plan on backing down now. They need me. CEDRIC needs me." she told him confidently.

Harry nodded and silently watched his best friend stress out over Cedric, wishing he could stop her, but he knew too well that once she got started, there is no way she would stop.

An hour Cedric told Hermione that he wanted to try and walk again, so, calling Harry in to help her, the two helped the Hufflepuff to his feet.

Cedric made a motion with his hand, to tell them to step back, but Hermione kept near him as he walked. He was still blind, but not as much. His vision was still hazy.

Rain fell heavily later that evening, and a deep roll of thunder and a longflash of lightning. Cedric had looked up at the sky through the window as the flash of lightning came. He fell from his chair and curled up into a feotus position, holding his eyes.

"H-Hermione!" he called out.

Hermione who had been in the shower, heard him cry out. She quickly turned off the shower, wrapped her towel around her and slipped into her bath robe to secure the towel. Then rushed out to him. She hugged him, and she felt him relax and untense. Though he was still in agony.

"Hermione ... m-my ... eyes ... are ... stinging. It's ... too painful." he said through deep breaths, trying to calm himself.

Hermione gently pressed her lips to his closed eyelids.

"Better?" she asked, but he shook his head, no.

Hermione looked confused and went to stand up to consult a book when Cedric slowly opened his eyes, sat up and entwined his hand in hers while his other arm snaked around her and pulled her into a hug, making her jump. She looked behind her into his grey eyes, which were shining brightly and beautifully. She completed the hug by wrapping her own arms around him. He picked her up into his arms and twirled her around, the couple laughing. He set her back onto the ground. They were still laughing when Harry walked into the Common Room.

"Back to normal is he?" he asked slightly amused.

The pair stopped alomst immediately, blushing.

"Well ... all we have to conentrate on now is the speech and the stediness on his feet." Hermione said quickly, the colour not disappearing from her cheeks.

"That's an improvement." Harry said, smirking at his best friend's embarrassment. "You won't get all of that done by the time school's over. We only have a month and 2 weeks."

Hermione nodded. "We can still talk to each other though. We can hear each other's thoughts. That's how I found out he was alive. He spoke to me." she said for the first time since the arguement with Cedric's dad.

*** The end of Term ***

Hermione sat on the Astronomy Tower window ledge, watching the beautiful, sunrise scenery, waiting for Cedric to come back with breakfast from the Great Hall.

He insisted on going on his own. She had been in such deep thought and lost in the amazing horizon before her, she hadn't niticed Cedric stumbling back up to her.

"Are ... you ... alright ..." he said between pauses, trying to sort his words. Seeing her jump in surpirse, he had to rush over to her and take her in his arms.

"Yeah, I'm fine. How's your walking and talking coming?"

"Ok, I am still trying though." he said, pressing his forehead gently against hers.

Cho Chang had taken her unknown timing to enter the Astronomy Tower with Ronald Weasley, giggling like crazy. Upon seeing Cedric and Hermione, she shoved Ron into hiding. She glared at the couple.

"Cedric! What are you doing with ... with HER!?" she asked, shooting Hermione with a look of daggers.

"I think we were talking, Chang!" Hermione spat her name out as though it were an unwilled act for her to do so. "And if you loved Cedric, you wouldn't bad mouth him behind his back because he was disabled!!" she shouted, then jumped from the ledge to the stone floor. She pulled Cedric to their Comon Room.

"Sh-she talked about me? More than that time she found out I overheard her the first time?" he asked, positively shellshocked.

"Yes, Cedric. I'm sorry but she has." she said, moving to hold him, but he moved back away from her, as though disgusted by her touch.

"How come you didn't tell me?!" he asked.

"I didn't want to worry you or hurt you." she said.

"Get out. Leave!" he said and pushed her out.

Tears welled up in her eyes. He hadn't treated her that way before. Not caring where her feet took her anymore, she started walking. She entered the Forbidden Forest afer wandering aimlessly around the grounds.

Back in the Common Room, Cedric began to feel guilty about what he had done, and decided to go after her.

"Harry, have you seen Hermione?" he asked as he came across him.

Harry nodded, saying, "She walked past me, crying. If she's not in the library, I don't know where she is."

Cedric walked to the library, only to discover she wasn't there. Worrying, Cedric looked all over the school, stumbling along the way. He didn't think she was stupid enough to go into the forbidden forest, so he decided not to check it, but he still found no sign of her after an hour of searching.

He walked to the Hospital Wing, not knowing or caring where he went. There he saw Hagrid, Ron and Harry sitting next to an unconscious, bruised and cut up girl.

"Who is that?" Cedric asked, in fear that it was the one he love so dearly.

" 'Ermione." Hagrid said.

Cedric's heart sank, and took no hesitation in taking a place next to Hermione and taking her hand in his own.

"What happened to her?" he asked Hagrid.

"Pack of wild centaur attacked 'er. It's lucky that Fang had gone chasing a puffskein into the forest." Hagrid told the Hufflepuff. "Fang saw her lying slumped against a tree 'n barked for me to see what he found."

"What happened between you and her?" ron asked.

"We had an arguement over Cho badmouthing me behind my back more than that 1st time I heard her. I didn't mean to be so horrible to Hermione." Cedric said, his head bowed in guilt.

Minutes later, Hermione awoke. Pain seared through her like hot knives.

Madame Pomfrey who had been bustling over Neville ( he had his legs put in a leg locker curse) saw Hermione awake.

"Drink this." she said immediately as she got to the Gryffindor's bedside.

Hermione obeyed. The taste of the murky yellow/green potion was like drinking mud. She thankfully took the bottle of water that Harry handed to her and downed half of it, to rid the tase of the potion.

"Has the pepper-up potion worked?" the matron asked Hermione.

Nodding, she turned her head in the direction of Cedric.

"Cedric? I thought you hated me?" Hermione whispered.

"I'm so sorry Hermione." he told her and held her tight. "I could never hate you. Anyone who does, doesn't know you at all. Because there's nothing to hate about you."

The trio, Cedric and Hagrid made their way to the entrace Hall, into the large gaggle of students.

"Are yeh good to go?" Hagrid asked, handing Hermione & Cedric their pocket-sized trunks. Harry and Ron already shrunk theirs. The two thankfully took them, Harry scooping Hermione into his arms as though she couldn't walk, Ron supporting Cedric's weight when needed, they all made their way with the students of Hogwarts to the Hogwarts Express for their journey back home.

Chapter 6 is not yet finished. You could have to wait a short while for it. Sorry :run: :binky:

Chapter 6: Say it in a little prayer

On the train ride home, Harry, Ron & Cedric challenged each other to a game of Exploding Snap on the floor whilst Hermione and Ginny talked on the chairs.

"Do you fancy Cedric or something, Hermione? it's just the way you look at it and everything." Without realising it, Ginny had dropped the bombshell on her bookworm friend.

Four pairs of eyes faced Hermione, as the boys stopped playing, waiting for her to answer.

"Erm ... I ... w-well ..." she stammered.

Cedric took pity on her. He got to his feet and gently brushed his lips across her own. It wasn't a proper kiss, but the others saw it in a different light.

"Kiss her properly, Ced." Ginny said, and at that time, Draco saw fit to walk in.

"If any of you don't mind, I'd like a talk with the red-haired woman of my love life, that woman being Ginny. And, Diggory, you can do better. Don't kiss that filthy Mudblood." he drawled as Ginny walked out the compartment with him, giving him a look that would kill.

"Stupid imbicile." Ron and Cedric muttered, Harry and Hermione looked at each other and rolled their eyes, smiling.


Hermione lent over to Cedric who had sat on the floor for another game with Harry and Ron, and she kissed him.

Jealousy welled up in the pit of Harry's stomach as the pair kissed. Seeing Hermione pull away from Cedric for air, he wanted to hex the Hufflepuff into oblivion.

"Hermione, could I have a word, in private?" Cedric asked.

"Yes of course." she said, grinning.

Walking into the next compartment, Cedric kissed her gently on the mouth.

Pulling away, Hermione whispered, "Wait." She manuvered from her position and closed the blinds on the windows and the door, then whispered "Silencio." and settled herself back in Cedric's arms.

Nothing was heard from the two teens for the next hour or two.

**in the boy's compartment**

"Maybe we should go find them. They've been gone for nearly an hour and a half." Ron said.

Harry nodded. "We should be almost home now so they can't really disappear for long." he said.

Harry and Ron set out to find Hermione & Cedric.

Hermione had forgotten to lock the door & their compartment was the third one to be checked.

Ron yelled at the sight he saw before him, whilst Harry tried to be the decent one and tried pulling Ron out and closing the door.
