I dunno if that makes sense, but that's how I see it. When you run away from something, it's because you want to leave it behind and forget about it.

Ok, been too long I'm catching up on myself, so it'll be a bit before I post again, cause I got myself stuck a month and a bit ago and didn't bother to... unstuck myself

And I like Navy blue font now cause it sooo matches my av... well I think it does and since I like it I'll do it, so all chapters from her on out are gonna be in navy bwoo (aka blue).

-lubbs new avvie- to think I only found it on google... totally doesn't match my sig but watever, Murtagh RULES! Despite what happened in the end of Eldest... he still rocks my socks! (he's hotter than Eragon in my opinion... well, fairly close but Murtagh still beat him by just a bit)

“Sh!” Ginny scolded as she neared the house.
“Come along,” Dezi said as she grabbed Shane’s arm, having to drag him towards the house.
“Not again... not possible... no way... I’m not...”
Dezi pushed him inside Grimmauld Place and shut the door. Locking it, she blocked the way when Shane tried to escape.
“It’s only for Christmas, Sirius,” she responded, still blocking the door.
“How did you...?” Sirius backed up a few steps.
“Dumbledore,” Dezi responded simply, stepping away from the door.
“But he’s... he’s...”
“Dead? Yes, it’s good to see you have noticed, since you were talking with him.”
“How did he die?” Sirius asked curiously.
“That is something I cannot tell you,” Dezi responded, kicking off her shoes. “Unless Dumbledore wishes to tell you himself.”
“But how did you...?”
“Get here? We just live here.”
“But how did you find out about this place?”
“Again, something I cannot tell you.”
Sirius pouted as he followed Ginny to the kitchen. Dezi chuckled and followed behind them. She took a seat in the kitchen and watched Sirius’s astounded expression. He sat down across the table from Dezi, Harry was at the end, Ginny at the nearest spot next to him, Darren was on the other side of Harry and next to Sirius, and Chloe was on Dezi’s side farthest from Harry.
“What can I ask that you can answer?” Sirius pondered quietly, shaking his head.
“Well it depends on what you ask,” Dezi pointed out, shrugging.
“Why would you want to live here?” Sirius blurted.
“It’s merely a roof over our heads,” Harry responded, looking at Sirius intently. “I’ve never been fond of the hallway personally, but overall if you just avoid the dust and grime its fine.”
Sirius recoiled slightly at Harry’s gaze. He squinted and looked at his forehead.
“What’s that?” he asked bluntly. Harry chuckled.
“It’s a scar...”
Sirius scoffed.
“It’s cool though. How’d you get it?”
Dezi looked at Harry.
“Ya, you never told me how you did get it,” she pressed, smiling.
“Cut my head,” Harry said abruptly.
“What with?”
“Sharp butcher’s knife.”
Dezi looked at him oddly, but made sure her hair covered what Sirius could see.
“A knife?” Sirius asked, an eyebrow raised.
“Yeah, I was in my... artistic state back then, and I took the knife and thought a lightning bolt would look rather interesting, but it’s lasted a bit longer than I thought it would...”
Dezi gave Harry a few weeks warning for lying. She heard he could be a bad liar, but she didn’t imagine it would be this bad. It was so obvious he was lying, she tried not to laugh, which was rather difficult.
“You look... familiar...”
Dezi feared this. She knew the similarities between James and Harry, yet the only difference being his nose and his eyes.
“How so?” Harry asked, curious. He knew what Sirius was referring to, but remembered what Dezi told him, which was really what Dumbledore said.
“You look like one of my friends... are you related to him?”
“I don’t... I don’t think so. He’d probably be too young, or old now, to be closely related to me anyways,” Harry shrugged it off.
“I’ve seen distant cousins look a lot alike. Now tell me, do you know a James Potter?”
Harry seemed to keep his face fairly neutral at the mention of his dead father.
“I’ve heard the name before, well-known Seeker from what I’ve found out,” Harry responded, smiling.
“But...” Sirius looked at Harry closely.
“You all must be hungry after such a long trip!” Harry said suddenly. “A good supper would do. What do you wish to have, Sirius, considering you’re the guest, even if this is your old house...”
“An... Anything,” Sirius responded, stuttering slightly. He seemed to be trying to place something. Harry got up.
“Lily!” he said suddenly, his fist hitting the table when he figured it out.
“What about a lily?” Ginny asked, smiling.
“Oh, those are my favourite flowers! I love how they open in the light and that they’re white... ooh! I could write a poem!” Chloe exclaimed suddenly. She started mumbling something.
“It can’t be... it’s impossible... she hates him...”
Harry hurried past the table and started making dinner.
“Who hates who?” Chloe asked curiously. Dezi gave her a deathly glare, which made her shrink in her seat.
“It can’t be them,” Sirius shook off the thought. Dezi got up and walked up to Harry.
“Did you happen to move the pictures of the old Order with your parents...?” she whispered.
“Yes,” he responded quietly as he flicked his wand, causing the water to boil in a pot.
“I didn’t know you could do that...”
“I was taught,” he responded as he dropped some food into the pot. Dezi couldn’t get a good look at what it was.
“Who?” she asked curiously.
“Her...” Harry cut himself off. Dezi’s face darkened ever so slightly.
“Oh... was she a great cook?” Dezi pressed.
“She didn’t do much cooking actually...”
“Then how could she teach you?”
“I said she didn’t do much cooking, I never said she didn’t do any at all,” Harry pointed out as he removed the pot from the stove. The bubbling water subsided automatically as it touched the towel set up on the counter.
“Um... is there anything you can do about...”
“I’m not a Metamorphmagi, Dez,” Harry cut her off automatically. “I can’t change my appearance. If I only had your ability...”
“What ability?”
Harry stood still for a moment, but slowly turned and looked at Dezi.
“You... you’re not serious...”
“What?” Dezi asked, confused.
“I thought... don’t you remember?”
“Remember what exactly?”
Harry seemed to flinch, as if he was holding back what he was about to say.
“I’ll explain later,” he mumbled as plates dropped softly onto the counter. Still confused, Dezi dropped it and went back to her chair. She sat quietly, trying to figure out what Harry meant by her ‘ability’.
Metamorphmagi... the word floated in her mind. She remembered hearing it before, but she had no clue where, let alone if she did at all. She ate her dinner quietly, looking up to find Sirius averting his gaze every time.

Oooooooo! Harry is a lier, Harry is a lier. I don't see why they can't just tell him who he is, but all the same. Happy New Year.

I'm beginning to think of something... but if it happens, and I'll say if it does in the post that I possibly do it in, don't get mad at me I've just got writers' block and it's been one heck of a long one)

Chapter 11
Dezi’s Ability

After sending Sirius to what is apparently ‘his’ room (before he was sent to the backyard of course), Harry and Ginny pulled Dezi into their room silently.
“Wha...?”
“You’re a Metamorphmagus,” Ginny said flatly.
Dezi opened her mouth to respond, but she didn’t hear what she expected. Her eyes widened, eyebrows rose, but then one fell and she looked very befuddled with one eyebrow raised.
“Huh?” Dezi was shocked.
“Dez, you’re a Metamorphmagus,” Ginny repeated.
“But it’s not possible... I...”
“You might’ve gotten it from Tonks somehow.”
“How?” Dezi exclaimed. Ginny quickly brought her finger to her lips, telling Dezi to be quieter. “How?” she whispered. “She’s not a Black, she’s a... Tonks.”
“Her mother is a Black,” Harry responded quietly as he leaned against his bed.
“Who... how... huh?”
“Andromeda Black, sister of Bellatrix and Narcissa Black. Narcissa Black turned in Narcissa Malfoy, and she’s biologically your grandmother, making her... Draco Malfoy’s mother.” He spat Draco’s name as if it was poisonous. “You might’ve gotten it from Tonks, but from what I’ve heard you don’t truly inherit Metamorphmagi abilities, you’re just... born with them,” Harry explained calmly.
“But how come I’ve never seen... oh.”
“And it’s still agreeable you’re intelligent,” Harry mumbled.
“But how... Metamorphmagi change! They can change their face, their hair... appearance altogether! I can’t do that!”
“Yes, you can,” Harry responded.
“No, I can’t!”
“Yes, you can.”
“No, I can’t!
“Yes, you can,” Harry responded simply, “and you can’t deny it!” he added before Dezi could further deny it.
“But how come I’ve looked this way for so long...”
Ginny sighed and looked at Harry. He nodded curtly.
“When Sirius... died,” she lowered her voice to barely a whisper, “Tonks suffered because she believed she should’ve been the one to die, and that he should’ve been the one living. Her Metamorphmagi abilities just... they didn’t work. Survivor’s guilt, they call it. Because of that, she couldn’t change her hair, her nose, anything.
“Now, when you were four...”
“My parents died, I know,” Dezi said flatly.
“Exactly! Because of that, you couldn’t change your eye colour, which you would do with the change in your emotions or you would change them yourself. We started noticing your hair would be shorter one day then normal the next... yet after you accepted the fact your parents weren’t... coming back... you... stopped... stopped...”
Ginny started shaking slightly. She got up and ran into the bathroom. Harry closed his eyes and continued what Ginny started.
“You didn’t change anymore. Your eyes stayed pale grey, your hair the same length, etcetera. You were affected, and at such a young age, you probably either forgot or you’re still suffering because of it.”
A sound much like an animal dying escaped the bathroom.
“Dezi, you’re a Metamorphmagi, whether you like it or not. The abilities really come to your advantage, and maybe if you could use them early on when you met Sirius this year, he wouldn’t recognize you as a... a Malfoy. As you put it, if I had the ability, I could probably not be recognized by the young Sirius.” A small, playful smile brightened Harry’s face.
“So I... if I...”
“If you feel good enough, you can change your appearance. Tonks, and Lupin of course, are coming to dinner tomorrow night, you can talk to Tonks about it then.” Harry started to get up off the bed.
“But won’t they recognize Sirius?” Dezi realized.
“I told them. Of course, Tonks was shocked but Lupin got a good laugh out of it.”
“Dad!” Dezi exclaimed.
“Apparently she already knew it would happen anyways,” he responded, shrugging.
“How?”
“You were told the story of how Sirius got to this time, right?”
“Yes...”
“Well as you’ve been told, apparently, he stole Lupin’s time-turner, and he remembered a year without Sirius, probably his time turner more so, and then Sirius returned in 7th year. Obviously he already told Tonks...”
“But...”
“Don’t worry about it.” He then walked to the bathroom and opened the door, and Dezi ran out before she could hear Ginny’s wails.

Wonderful update girl!!! Can't wait for the next one!!

Ok, I'm offically gonna have EITHER 15 or 16 chapters... short I know but that's ONLY because of my writers block. I had one and it lasted over one month so I decided not to go through that again by skipping 3 months, and than another 2 and a bit (from Jan. to April then April to June).
Depending on what I can do, and I was working on chapter 15 on a car ride today (handwriting, and I never do that...! Amazing), but if I don't like what I've got so far, it'll only be 15 chapters.
If I continue with my idea for chapter 15, it'll be 16 chapters.
Not much, I know, but trust me, it'll be a cool/great/good/whatever-word-you-can-think-of-that's-good ending. I have the chapter title for it (cause I was originally planning 15 chapters and I wrote it cause it fit... even if I didn't have much of an idea for an ending. Now that I do I find the title totally suits! I've never thought of such a cool ending I think... not including my plan for Fallen and my idea for Choices, but that was because of my mood then cause that was just after my horse had to be killed... I mean put down... I mean had to be sent to horsie heaven... whatever, that wasn't much of a great ending cause it was inspired by my mood, for once I have an ending that's inspired by creativity and no mood of mine involved in it Same with Fallen...).

15 or 16 chapters. Depends on how things work.

Wow!!! I haven't read this in a while!!! That was sooooo good!!!! And I love how Lupin knows that sirius is gonna be here....LOL...Pamsoid!!!!

If James was alive he'd know too (it's noted in chapter 15, I'm handwriting it, which is rare... so far it's just the dream that's going in there, and no, the dreams don't stop ).
Anyways, I"M POSTING! (I wanna cause I'm almost done the story neways... I found another better title for this F.F just like... yesterday... but it would only work for Sirius and Dezi, and since Hermione and Draco are in this the title I had in mind... well it wouldn't work. It's gonna be the title of Chapter 15 tho.)
So ya, I posteh in a few!

This chapter might be kind of confusing because of... well, two Dezi’s in the same room basically. The brackets mighta helped, but they might also confuzzle you, I dunno... it made sense to me, but that’s cause I wrote it...
And this chapter was supposed to be split... but since Tonks shows up in the 2nd half I took it out (it was mainly there cause I was stuck on chapter 13 then and I thought I'd catch up to myself... apparently not And the first half was like, all a dream neways... where the paragraph break is was the original split, so ya... it'd be kinda boring if I split it there)

Chapter 12
A Visit from Tonks

Dezi stood in the kitchen of her home. Looking around, she saw only one inhabitant, yet she couldn’t see their face clearly. The door opened once more, and two people entered, Ron and her mother, Hermione.
“Not another dream...” she complained.
Hermione sat down in the middle section of the table, next to Harry. Ron sat at the far end, father away from them, and food appeared in front of them. The door creaked open, and Hermione saw Draco walk in, looking more sullen than she’s ever seen him before. He sat across and down a few seats from Hermione, and food appeared in front of him. Taking some of it off his plate, he ate slowly.
“Mommy!”
Dezi turned back to the door and saw a little girl, no older than five, run inside and grab Hermione’s leg. Dezi’s eyes widened; it was her. She was so different, her hair was darker, her eyes green-grey.
Being placed on Hermione’s lap, the toddler Dezi grabbed food off the plate.
Watching from farther behind in the kitchen, (the real) Dezi looked at the table curiously, watching her younger self turn to look at Draco. Her eyes widened and she recoiled, seeming to have a tighter grip on Hermione’s arm.
Dezi watched her younger self, and suddenly her eyes changed to a bold pale grey. It surprised her.
The toddler jumped out of Hermione’s lap and ran. Dezi looked at Draco, who was looking at Hermione, whose cheeks were flushed slightly.
The colours of the room faded to white, and a moment later they re-appeared again. She was now outside, by the Black Family tree. Draco stood in front of it, seeming to read over it. Suddenly, she heard the door slide open ever so quietly, and she saw her toddler self standing there, watching intently. Draco turned around and that look of intent turned to fear. Dezi looked at Draco and he took a small step forwards. A moment later, he took another step but stopped. Turning to look back at her toddler self, Dezi saw she seemed ready to run again. Looking back at her father, he crouched down to toddler height.
“What’re you afraid of?” he asked.
(Toddler) Dezi looked down.
“Why’re you scared?” Draco tried again.
“Bad things,” a barely audible voice mumbled. (Teenage) Dezi looked towards the door, slightly surprised.
“What bad things?” Draco pushed.
“You hurt mommy,” (toddler) Dezi mumbled. (Teenage) Dezi looked back at her father and saw his head down and eyes closed.
“Cause mommy pain,” (toddler) Dezi added. (Teenage) Dezi still looked at her toddler self, and was surprised when her eyes changed abruptly from pale grey to a deep ocean blue.
“If I didn’t leave your mom, she would’ve had a lot more pain than just emotional,” Draco responded simply.
(Teenage) Dezi watched her (toddler self’s) ocean blue eyes widen and then she ran off. As soon as she was out of sight, the colour of the room whitened. She did hear one thing before she left though.
“That was completely my memory by the way!” Draco’s voice echoed as Dezi disappeared. She laughed.
The next sight Dezi saw was the ceiling of her bedroom. Sitting up, she went to the window and noticed it was raining. Looking down to the backyard, she swore she saw a white outline moving outside, but when she linked it was gone. Shaking her head, Dezi changed and ran downstairs, smelling breakfast already.

“Can you move the coat rack?” Ginny asked Dezi just before dinner. Dezi raised an eyebrow. “If you don’t move it, you’ll find out why we should...”
There was a crashing sound in the hallway.
“Sorry!”
Dezi peeked around the corner and saw the vibrant pink head of Tonks sprawled on the floor, the coat rack under her ankles and the coats thrown everywhere.
“Need help?” she asked.
Tonks pushed herself up off the ground.
“I’m fine... I’m fine.”
“Still hasn’t changed...” Dezi heard Ginny mutter as she put the last of the plates on the table.
“What hasn’t changed?”
Tonks entered the kitchen, smiling and brushing off her arms.
“These plates, I keep on forgetting to go to the china store in muggle London to get better plates for such occasions... I’ve ordered them but I haven’t had time to pick them up.”
“I can pick them up for you, I’ve had a lot of time off lately and not a lot to do...”
Images, and sounds, of Tonks in a china store flashed in Ginny’s mind.
“Oh it’s ok, I just need to write it down and I’ll remember,” she responded quickly.
“Ok.” Tonks shrugged.
“Tonks!” Chloe nearly tackled her to the ground.
“Wotcher Chloe!” Dezi noticed Tonks’s nose looked like a pig snout. Chloe chuckled when she saw it.
“Oh, oh, remember when you wanted to ‘look like a Weasley’...?” Ginny started. Tonks’s hair suddenly went to a tomato red and down to her waist.
“Yes,” she responded with a smile.
“Oh, oh, and remember when you tried to ‘organize’ my socks...” Harry said mockingly in the exact same enthusiastic way Ginny did.
Tonks rolled her eyes at Harry’s comment and her hair went back to a short, bubblegum pink. She sat down, and the front door creaked open again. It shut, and within a few moments, Lupin was in the kitchen.
“What took so long?” Tonks asked.
“Ya, you might not want to show up later than your girl,” Harry said with a grin. Ginny rolled her eyes.
“Watch it, Harry,” Tonks said.
“Isn’t it ‘Wotcher’, Tonks?” Harry pointed out, grinning cheekily.
“Well this time it’s watch it,” she responded, smirking. The kitchen door swung open again, and Sirius came in. He stopped when he saw Lupin.
“Hello,” Lupin said, smiling. Sirius looked at Lupin oddly for a moment.
“Hi.”
“Just like I remember,” Lupin muttered. “Sirius, I presume.”
“How everyone seems to know me, I do not want to know...”
“I can only assume you two have been acquainted before,” Harry said sarcastically as he moved the dinner to the centre of the table. Sirius raised an eyebrow.
“You stole my time-turner, Padfoot,” Lupin said, shaking his head and smiling. Sirius’s face brightened.
“Gotten old now, Moony?” Sirius asked with a cheeky smirk.
“Given it’s been about fourty years, yes. You might grow older, but you won’t ever grow up.”
Dezi, watching silently, looked at Tonks and saw her wiping away tears.

Sorry, there'll be 17 chapters! I messed up when I handwrote half of the chapter I.. handwrote and said it was 15 so I thought it was chapter 15 so I thought there'd be 16 chapters but I'm really working on chapter 16 and there'll be 17 chapters

Great post!!!!!! And Tonks can do stuff again??? I thought that she lost her ability to change??? You have the coolest twists in your stories!!! And I love that Draco had to put in the "It's my memory" thing!!! It made me laugh!!! Anywho...PAMS!!!!

You only loose the metamorphmagi abilities because of like.. an emotional blow. She felt survivors guilt for not saving Sirius when he died in the OotP, but after some time (remember, it's been well over 10 years at this point! I dunno how much really... 1995... 2010 - I did the math so I could figur eout if it was 30 or 40 years between 16 year old Sirius and present-time Remus based on Dezi being born in January 1999 - so about... about 15 years. She got over the survivor's guilt within that time, but you don't stop missing someone).
I just remember the unable-to-change stuff from HBP, but remember? In the end of HBP? She had her normal bubble-gum pink back at the funeral for Dumbledore (I vaguely recall that cause she was 'holding hands with Lupin' or sumthin along those lines)

Dezi's... Dezi was born in 1999. Add 16 years... 2015! WHOOPS!
So 2015 minus 1995 is 20 years!

I thought he was really hot, but when I saw him onscreen... bleh, it was gone.
I saw Murtagh and was like, 'cool!', but then a few days later I was all, 'He's SO MUCH HOTTER THAN ERAGON!' Just took a few people to get me to notice really
