P.S: The rest of this chapter will probably be posted next post, but I know chapter 9 will be 4 parts (just separated the parts so I'd know for later). I said it was long Kinda short parts, all varying in length cause I wanted to find good parts to stop at... but ya, 4 parts
And I requmend NOT skimming, because you'll get fairly confused if you do when you read the end of this part, but you'd also be ruining it for yourselves. Your choice, I'm just saying ('I will not force you' as Ishmael from Lemony Snicket's 'The End' always said...)

Chapter 8
The Truth

Another few weeks went by, and it was nearly Christmas break. Dezi’s only friend was Shane, and despite how close they were, she couldn’t help but feel there was something different about him.
“The headmaster wishes to see you,” Professor Saccomano, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, said to Dezi.
“What for?”
“I assume you’ll find out,” Professor Saccomano responded sarcastically. Dezi rolled her eyes and left the classroom. Walking down the corridors, the headed for the gargoyle that stood in place of the stairs.
“Lemon danish,” she said clearly. The stairs popped out from under the gargoyle and started turning, going up higher into the tower. Dezi stepped on and was moved to the front door of the headmaster’s office. She pulled her hand back to knock, but it opened for her.
“Come in.”
Dezi entered the office. Looking around, she saw the phoenix, Fawkes, perched next to the desk in the office. She looked at the desk and saw no one there.
“Over here,” the voice of an old, wise-sounding man came from the wall. Dezi looked and saw a number of paintings. She knew the voice belonged to the previous headmaster Professor Dumbledore. Pulling up a chair, she sat in front of the painting.
“Did... you want to see me or...”
“Yes, I did wish to see you.”
“What do you need to see me about?” Dezi asked. She heard how Dumbledore would only respond to questions if you actually asked them.
“The... new boy, Shane White is his name, am I correct?”
“Yes. What about him?”
“There is something you... need to know about him. You are his friend, correct?”
“Yes...”
“Have you been helping him?”
“I don’t really know... how to respond to that,” Dezi replied, unsure by what Dumbledore had meant.
“He is... known to be a troublemaker. Especially in his time.”
“In his time? He’s in the now, isn’t he?” Dezi pointed out.
“Oh yes, by mistake.”
“How so?”
“Your Shane took a time-turner from his friend. He lived here at Hogwarts many years before you were even born, back in the 1960s and 1970s. He was trouble...”
“If he’s not Shane, then who is he?”
“Are you sure that is the question you want answered?” Dumbledore responded, and air of mystery entering his question.
“Um... yes?”
“Good.”
Dezi let out a breath. She heard how Dumbledore would ‘test’ you in that way. She thought it was odd, but she didn’t bother asking.
“Then who is he really?”
“You have had feelings you know him, have you not?”
“I’ve had odd feelings like I’ve known him my whole life, but yet I did not recognize him.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“Yes...?”
“Take a look at the picture the Headmaster has put on his desk.”
Dezi turned around and picked up the picture. There were four people in this picture, all looking to be about 14 or 15. There was one boy with brown hair and a book in his spare hand, another had clean cut black hair and grey eyes, one was small and seemed to be pushed into the picture, and a boy had black hair and hazel eyes.
“I’ve seen this picture before...” Dezi realized the moment she set eyes upon it.
“Indeed, you probably have. Knowing Harry...”
Dezi clenched her jaw at the mention of his name.
“But what does this have to do with anything?”
“A fair deal actually. You see the boy with the book? You probably know him now still, if he remained alive for that matter. His name is Remus Lupin.”
“Yeah, I know him.”
“And the black haired boy with hazel eyes?”
“James Potter, yeah.”
“The small boy...”
“I haven’t heard of him, actually.”
“Peter Pettigrew. He betrayed Harry’s parents, and... knowing Harry of course, I do not expect you to know Peter. But do you know the other black-haired boy with grey eyes?”
“Shane?” Dezi cut him off automatically.
“No, Sirius Black.”

“Sirius Black?” Dezi echoed, unable to believe what she was hearing. It seemed crazy that such a thing would happen; she did know Dumbledore was ‘odd’ at times, but he was almost always right.
“Yes, you are correct. In his sixth year, he took Remus’ dear time-turner, put it around his neck, and twisted the knob many times over. He disappeared, only to appear here. An infamous troublemaker when with James... he’s still getting in trouble now from what I have heard.”
“Why are you telling me this?”
“Because I recall in Sirius’ final year, he was not a trouble maker, almost never getting into any form of trouble actually, and if he did it was not his fault. Of course I knew why, he met a girl. A girl much like himself, and he became attached to her, loved her dearly. They showed each other something about themselves. Considering you are the only one that...”
“How are Sirius and I alike?” Dezi asked flatly, cutting off Dumbledore
“’True’ pureblood families, sorted into a house that they ‘don’t belong’. As you know, Sirius is in Gryffindor, yet he is of Black origin. You are a Malfoy, yet you are in Gryffindor as well...”
“If my mother wasn’t...”
“Indeed, it was your mother, Hermione Granger,” Dumbledore cut her off. “I am aware you have had dreams of your your biological parents. Am I correct?”
How can he know this yet I haven’t told anyone...?
“Occlumecy, dear girl. I might not be as... lively as I once was, but I still have fair share of gifts and curses. I am also aware you have not been well.”
“Like when I was used as the Slytherins’ practice target?”
“Not as you may think, but more so how you have been treating your family.”
“They aren’t family,” Dezi pouted as she sunk lower into her seat.
“But they took you under their watch when you had no one left. When your father wasn’t around, who looked after you?”
“My ‘mum’ Ginny.”
“And?”
Dezi scowled and didn’t respond.
“Harry, that is correct. He was a great help from what I heard, and even if he is not your true father, you still contain his stubbornness.”
Dezi’s mouth dropped, but she couldn’t complain, she was well aware it was true enough. Dumbledore merely smiled weakly.
“But you didn’t answer my question of why I need to know this,” she pointed out, trying to change the subject.
“You are the girl that changed Sirius in his final year.”
Dezi’s eyes widened.
“Uh...”
“Harry will become aware of this, I have told your current headmaster Professor Boissoneault. You are to bring Sirius to Grimmauld Place, despite his complaints. He doesn’t know that you are aware of his true being, but he will find out. He cannot be left in Hogwarts for Christmas, he is still not trusted enough. He used to stay with James, but since he cannot do so this year, he must go with you. Just make sure he doesn’t figure out Harry is James’ son, he has found out many things he shouldn’t know already, it would ruin him even more if he found out such others.”
“But what about Grimmauld Place? If he found out that was used as the Headquarters back in the day...”
“But he won’t, he will just learn there are other residents in his old house.”
“But...”
“Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes,” Dezi squeaked.
“Do you have any other questions you wish to have answered?”
“Yes,” Dezi responded. “If Sirius used a time-turner to get here, why didn’t he go back a long while ago when he had the chance?”
“He broke it when landing on the floor of the castle upon arriving here. Is there anything else?”
“Why didn’t he get another?” she asked immediately.
“This is his... punishment, par say, for stealing his friend’s Time-Turner.”
“How is it his punishment to stay here?”
“He hasn’t any friends, other than you of course. I also knew what was to come, and it is... very important that he should stay for his 6th year here in the ‘future’.”
Dezi was silent.
“Is that all?” Dumbledore asked quietly.
Dezi shrugged.
“Then we are finished.”
Dezi put the chair back where she had found it, silently leaving the room. She was still trying to grasp everything she was told.

I haven't been on here in awhile so I just got caught up. Great posts! I loved them. It's weird how Dezi can go back in time like that. You definaltly gotta post soon!!!!!!!!!!! PAMS!!!!!!!

Chapter 9
Mirror or Erised (Part 1)

Dezi just talked to Sirius about him coming to stay at her place for Christmas. He gladly accepted, so she had no problems talking him into it. The only reason Dezi was returning ‘home’ for Christmas was because Sirius was going with her. She enjoyed spending time with him, just sitting by the fire talking. She just wished they weren’t just friends... but she didn’t want to impose. She felt more lost than ever.
Receiving a letter from Harry and Ginny once more, Dezi went to sleep irritated and angry.
Dezi stood in her room at Grimmauld Place. Only, it didn’t look like her room at all, it was so bare, so clean and empty. She looked at the bed and saw someone sitting up in it. This person had poofed out, curly hair and couldn’t look like they could be any sicker, red rings around the woman’s eyes, red nose that was constantly sniffling and coughing. When the woman got out of bed, Dezi got a better look, and realized it was her mom.
Hermione slowly walked out of the bedroom, still in her pajamas, and Dezi followed her quietly down the stairs and into the kitchen. The smell of fresh pancakes and cinnamon entered Dezi’s nose, and she smiled, remembering how Harry had made her eat breakfast because of his unique, yet tasty, ways to make breakfast. She shook off the happiness feeling, she was mad at him, but right now she didn’t know why He looked at the kitchen door and looked surprised..
“Hermione, you look horrible! What happened?” he asked.
Dezi saw Hermione smile.
“I sink I ot a cod,” she responded. Dezi had no clue what fish had to do with any of this.
“I can only imagine you in a white dress and walking down the aisle like this...” Harry seemed to think out loud. It took Dezi a moment to realize what he meant, it was the original day of the first planned wedding. She looked at Hermione to see her reaction; she was glaring. Dezi sat on an open chair and saw Harry put on a pot of soup.
“Soup for breakfast?”
Dezi looked at the kitchen door and saw her ‘uncle’ Ron standing there.
“Not for you,” Harry responded simply, stirring the soup.
“Then who for?” he asked bluntly. Dezi’s eyes widened slightly.
“For Hermione, take a look and you’ll know.”
Ron looked at Hermione.
“Oh,” he mumbled. He took a chair next to Dezi’s. She looked at him with an eyebrow raised.
“I knew you were blunt, but still...” she said. Ron didn’t seem to notice her.
“So did you see the latest Chudley Canons game?” Ron asked, looking at Harry. Dezi tuned out their conversation, she was never all that fond of Quidditch, she only liked watching when it was Gryffindor against Slytherin matches (she liked their matches the most out of the other two houses), and yet she still didn’t enjoy it as much. A few minutes later, Ron was getting his breakfast, and he sat down next to Dezi again. Watching Harry, she noticed he grabbed a bowl and put the soup inside it first. He carefully slid it down the table, using magic to get it the rest of the way down.
“Sans,” Hermione said as she took the bowl, sounding like she was trying to say ‘thanks’. Harry went back to get breakfast for himself. Hermione cooled it down and took down the whole bowl. Leaving the table, she went upstairs. Dezi didn’t move, but watched Harry and Ron, just chatting.
“What was that for?” Ron asked.
“What was what for?”
“You, making Mione that soup or whatever.”
“It’s called being a friend, Ron. Maybe you should try it sometime,” he snapped. Dezi’s mouth dropped, surprised at how Harry had responded.
“What’re you saying?” Ron asked suspiciously.
“That just because Mione has gone back to that prick, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. Get over yourself and start focusing on your friends, she needs you more than anything right now.”
“Are you saying I don’t care?” Ron shot at him.
“Took you long enough,” Harry responded as he took a bite of his pancake.
“It’s not like you’d know me enough to know I actually care, I’ve barely heard you talk within the past while.”
Harry looked up, eyes narrowed.
“Maybe that means you should be around enough to show that you care enough to at least talk to your friends.”
The kitchen door opened, and as Dezi saw Hermione’s face, a halo of light came around it, and it quickly engulfed the room.
Shooting up and out of bed, Dezi’s head throbbed as she hit the post of her four-poster bed. Apparently she was half-hanging off of the end of her bed. Looking to her left, she saw two girls looking at her oddly.
“What?” Dezi asked simply.
“Bad dream?” they asked together.
“Not exactly, why do you ask?”
“Just... interesting to watch someone else thrash around, nearly fall out of bed and sweat because of a dream,” one of them responded in a smart-alec tone. Dezi scowled and they left.

Wow...4 parts...that's a lot...I Loved the post...Pams!!!

yep, 4 parts Like, chapter 9 itself is nearly 1/3rd of the amount of pages used on MS Word

Dezi was still trying to figure out these dreams. She had never had vision-like dreams she heard Harry had before, yet these dreams she had were of the past, of things having already happened. It was really starting to bug her how she was having these dreams about her parents and Harry yet not have any recollection of those things happening. As she changed into her robes, she wondered what was happening that made her dream these dreams of hers.
Walking down the stairs to the common room, she left the tower, wandering the castle, since it was indeed Saturday. Once more day until she had to go back to Grimmauld Place. She found herself in the dungeons, and daring enough to enter a room, she saw a mirror. Curious, she got closer and looked in. There was nothing.
Slowly, two images formed in front of her. Confused, she looked at the two images that slowly became clearer. Within moments, she was looking into the translucent faces of Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy, her mum and dad.
Dezi then recalled the story Harry had told her about the Mirror of Erised and how when he found it in his first year, had seen his parents, yet later on was told that it shows you not your reflection, but of your true desire. She remembered Harry said Dumbledore had rid of it, so she wondered why it was where Harry had found it himself.
As she looked into the faces of her parents, Dezi felt sleepy. She sat down in front of the mirror, still seeing her parents, and hung her head, falling asleep.
It was dark. Dezi couldn’t see anything around her, let alone herself when she held her hand up. A moment later, a fog immerged and broke the darkness, the whiteness handing by Dezi’s feet.
“I told you we shouldn’t do this...” a male voice complained
“And we’d get in trouble, ya, ya, I’ve heard it a hundred times over,” the other voice, a female, bounded through the darkness.
Dezi looked around everyone, trying to locate the voices. Her heart pounded when she did not see any faces, let alone any other form of life.
“Why did you drag me along...?”
“Because you need to be here. Now hush.”
Looking around once more, Dezi started to feel scared.
“There is no need to be afraid, dear.”
Dezi jumped, looking around frantically.
“Wha...”
Looking into the distance, she saw two people with a slight halo of light surrounding them. Dezi couldn’t see who they were at such a distance. Even as they neared, she could see nothing but white images. When they stopped in front of her, faint colour flooded into these two people, and she nearly fainted at the sight of her parents.
“I still don’t see...”
Hermione elbowed Draco. He grunted.
“Oh shut up already!”
“Ok, I’ve always wondered, can ghosts actually hit each other...” Dezi stopped when she saw the look upon Hermione’s face. She saw Draco smirk.
“Are you honestly encouraging it?” Hermione snapped. Draco cleared his throat and his expression dropped.
“It’s a good question,” he responded simply. Hermione rolled her ghostly brown eyes.
“Is there a reason I’m here?” Dezi asked slowly, wondering if the only point to this weird dream was to see her parents bickering.
“Yes,” Hermione responded. “We can’t really tell you any information unless you ask it.”
“What makes you say that?” Draco asked.
“Because I read up about it. Go on, try and tell her something she hasn’t asked.”
Draco’s mouth opened, but no words came out, it was like someone was holding his mouth open. His eyes bugged, but Dezi swore she was seeing things... again... since Draco’s expression went normal in the blink of an eye.
“Fine,” he spat, mouth going back to normal.

They're back! And they're real ghosties! Whatever shall happen now?
Find out in a few days (yes, a few days, could mean only 2, it'll be a surprise postie!)
