Chapter 18: WHO!?
 

Sorry I took my time but I enjoyed making you all wait! haha I'm evil. Just kidding. I've been caught up with Wedding planning and Christmas stuff.
Liam and Nytingale play nice before I have to separate you two!

“Don’t you dare move…” a strange but familiar voice said as Ron kneeled awaiting the cold hand of death.
Lucius turned toward the voice temporarily forgetting about his potential victim.
“You! How dare you betray me!” Raising his wand he pointed it at the intruder. “For this you shall pay.”

“Please stop crying Minnie!” turning toward Ginny, Hermione let out a deep sigh. “I don’t know what’s wrong with her. She was dead asleep and then woke up screaming! It’s like she had a nightmare.” Ginny looked at her niece feeling rather helpless.
“Here let me take her.” reaching out for Minerva, Ginny let her instincts take over. Carrying her to a nearby chair Ginny sat and slowly rocked the squalling baby while humming quietly. Minerva quieted a bit as Ginny lowered her closer to the life growing within her womb.

“This is you’re cousin, Minnie. When you come out she will show you all sorts of amazing things” Ginny whispered to her unborn baby. Still rocking back and forth slowly Minnie fell asleep against her aunt’s belly.

“Oh thank Merlin!” Hermione said quietly. “How ever did you think of that?”
Ginny just shrugged. “I’m not sure really. I guess it’s because they share the same bloodline. When I was a little one and would have nightmares I used to sneak into Ron’s room and climb into bed with him. He’d always hug me close to him and hum a little until I fell asleep.” Ginny gave a small smile to the baby sleeping on her abdomen. “You know I think I had forgotten about that. It stopped about a year before Ron went to Hogwarts, and then when he got there he met up with you lot. You know the rest. He got a bit big for his breeches. Being a part of the ‘Triumphant Trio’ does things to your ego.” Ginny said with a wistful sigh. “I never realized how much I missed having my protective big brother. I mean sure. He’s protected me. He’s done whatever he could. I couldn’t run to him with my nightmares forever, but sometimes I wish he’d run to me with his.”
Hermione nodded with a look of sadness crossing her face. Crossing the room she gave Ginny’s shoulder a squeeze before picking up Minerva to put her back in the bassinet. Ginny looked at Hermione and promptly burst into tears.
“Bloody Hormones…” Hermione whispered to herself as she handed Ginny a tissue.

Everyone had been temporarily distracted Harry saw his opening. Running and diving for Ron He landed on top of him heavily and quickly apparated both of them to the spot where he left Goyle in his full body bind.

Both of them landed with a loud pop and a crash.
“Bloody hell that was close!” Ron said dusting himself off and looking at Harry clutching his side.
“Oi! Are you alright?!” Ron said crouching and looking at Harry closely.
Harry nodded with his eyes tearing up slightly. “I think I’ve broken a rib.” He hissed through clenched teeth. Pulling out his wand he muttered under his breath. “acetometephine” and the pain was dulled slightly with the pain killer charm.
Dusting himself off he turned to Ron, “as soon as this is over we have to get these ribs fixed.” turning to Goyle He pointed his wand and said. “Finite Incantem”

“ It’s about time!” Greg Goyle muttered as he sat up stiffly.
“Yes well forgive me for trying to protect you from being killed for betraying your “friends” you bloody git!” Harry spat. “We need the use of your wand, Lucius broke Ron’s” Goyle shook his head. “No way am I giving you my wand. I fight my own battles.” he said jumping to his feet.
Harry nodded and handed Ron his wand. “Don’t need it mate. Remember? I have the new and interesting power” he whispered so that only Ron could hear. Ron took the wand nervously and nodded. He hoped Harry was right.

Quietly sneaking up to the spot they had left Lucius they found him in the same position he had Ron in mere minutes before. Kneeling and wandless. The person who had saved Ron stood there unwavering with his wand pointed at Lucius’ heart.
“I should have don’t this years ago. “ He hissed at Lucius.
“You can’t do this! I beg of you. Don’t betray me as Gregory did!”
“No amount of begging will save you now. Look at this as an act of mercy. Death will be much kinder to you than Azkaban would.” Brushing his hair out of his eyes he stared down the man who had once been a well to do Wizard full of money and influence. “You could have done so much good in our world, but instead you chose a path of darkness. You tried to lead so many along that path, myself included I can’t say that I’ll miss you… goodbye father.” Draco said just before he cast the killing curse. “Avada Kedavra!” He shouted as he watched his father drop down on the rooftop lifeless.
Without turning around Draco whispered. “Hello Potter… Weasley. I suppose we have some catching up to do don’t we?” Not once did he take his eyes off of the lifeless body of his father.

Very well done Krissy I enjoyed it alot. And your Draco's a nice boy too or is he? A nice little twist on things, very cool.

Haha! You guys are cazy! I'd like cookies as well Liam. Sorry it took so long to write a chapter. It is kind of short and a bit of filler, but it was a necessary evil. I'll try and post more soon.

Harry stared blankly at the back of Draco’s head, shocked at what he had just witnessed.
“Yes, I suppose we do need to catch up.” Ron said cooly as he pointed Harry’s wand at Draco. “Turn around slowly and lower your wand.” He said with just a tinge of nervousness in his voice.

“Oh you lower your wand Weasley, I’ve just killed my father after saving your life, I think you can trust me.” Draco said as he tucked his own wand into his robes. “Alright then Goyle?” He said with a smile directed towards his childhood friend. Goyle nodded suddenly silent. He couldn’t take his eyes off of Lucius’ dead body. “Well Potter I suppose you need to get your injury fixed, shall we talk at St. Mungos?”
Snapping out of his stunned silence Harry looked Draco in the eye. “No need, we’ll go to my house and have it taken care of there.” turning to Ron he added, “Apparate Goyle to the flat and I’ll follow with Malfoy” With that Ron firmly grabbed Greg Goyle’s arm and disappeared.

“Why we going to your house Potter? Planning on roughing me up before handing me over to the ministry?” Draco spat out with all the venom he could muster.

Harry looked at Draco with a bit of sympathy. “No Draco. I know that couldn’t have been easy… taking out your father, but I’d like to thank you for causing the diversion so I could get Ron out of there. I’d like to go home so I can sit in my cozy chair while my ribs knit themselves, perhaps have some tea and discuss why you and Goyle decided to go against Lucius.” Draco looked at Harry as though he had six heads. “Come on Draco, You saved my best mate. You really think I’m going to have a go at you?” He stuck out his hand for a shake. Draco just shook his head in disbelief as he reached out to shake Harry’s hand. As soon as their hands touched there was a loud POP as Harry disapparated the two of them to his house.

“I can’t believe you brought him HERE!” Hermione shouted at Ron. “How could you endanger your wife and daughter not to mention your sister?!”
Reaching out and grabbing his wife’s shoulders he looked her dead in the eye. “Mione, calm down. Now!” he said forcefully. “Harry told me to bring him here, I was just listening to my higher up.” Ron was using his status at the ministry as a cop out. He knew his wife would respect authority over any reasoning he came up with. “Hermione just nodded and looked at Goyle out of the corner of her eye.
“fine, but I’m taking Minnie to your mother’s house until that vermin is gone.”
“Watch your bloody mouth mud-blood!” Goyle shouted at Hermione. Ron flew at him with Harry’s wand pointed at his throat. “You will treat my wife with respect or I will make your life ten layers of hell.” Goyle just whispered “sorry” and gave a small bow to Hermione before sitting down at the kitchen table.
Hermione looked at Ron impressed. Then concerned. “Why are you using Harry’s wand?”
“Not now Mione. Take Minnie to the Burrow and then come back. We may need you to heal Harry”

“What?! What is wrong with my husband?” Ginny yelled at her brother Hermione shook her head and wanting to stay out of it She disapparated with Minnie clutched in her arms.

Harry suddenly appeared with Draco’s hand still clutched in a handshake.
“You could have warned me Potter” Draco said in disgust taking back his hand and wiping it on his robes.
“You will hand over your wand in my home Malfoy. I promise you’ll get it back in the same shape you give it to me.” Draco pushed his wand into Harry’s waiting hand.

Turning to Ginny he smirked. “You’ve gotten fat Weasley.” he stated matter of factly.
“She’s pregnant You moron.” Harry said menacingly. “For your information, she’s a Potter now, so watch your mouth.”
Ginny just rolled her eyes. “Ron’s already dispatched someone for the body. Now where are you hurt?” she asked with concern in her eyes as she led Harry to a nearby chair.

“Just my ribs love, small break nothing more.” He said smiling at his wife momentarily forgetting the pain in his side. Taking a deep breath he remembered. Leaning slightly to the side he showed her where it hurt. “Would you mind Love?” Looking at Harry with concern written on her face Ginny pulled out her wand waved it shortly saying a healing charm. Harry smiled with relief as he could feel the bones healing. “Thank you dear.” He said kissing Ginny’s hand. Before he could say anything else Ginny rounded on Draco.
“If you did that to my husband I will end you!” She yelled pointing her wand at Draco’s heart.
“Calm down woman!” Draco shouted. “Bloody Hormones…” he said under his breath.

Aww Krissy how can you say that was no good. It was excellent as always and you know it lol (even Liam should be impressed).

Keep up the excellent writing girl.
