Hermione screamed, well silently, she was in a library and her respect for the place of study won over the urge to scream her lungs out in pain. The hand that had grabbed her from behind was pulling roughly on her hair, ripping it from her scalp.

She could hear a voice, yelling angrily at her, but in the haze of pure fire pain, she could make out some kind of buzzing noise. Her hazel eyes began to smart with tears. She gasped as the pain began to consume her, the person continuing to yank on her head.

She wondered blindly, where Madam Pince was, this girl; she had figured that much out already, was making enough noise to earn her being physically thrown from the library. She screamed at her again, jerking her head forward as she did so, and this time, Hermione made out some words.

"GIVE HIM BACK!" The girl screeched, Draco was slowly moving towards her slowly prising her towards him, to saftey. However, the girls grip was far to strong and to go to Draco completely would mean losing half her head of hair.

She wasn't going to give in and show pain to this girl so, somehow, she got out from her seat and twisted round, the pain not so intense any more. She lashed out with her hands and her nails came into contact with a face.

The other girl screamed out in anger as Hermione dragged her fingers down the face and she pushed her off. Hermione was instantly wrapped up in a hug from behind by Draco as she clenched her fists, her head throbbing with the injustice of her attack.

Her eyes cleared and she was able to see who her petty attacker was.
"Pansy?" She asked the furious figure now sprawling on the floor. Scratched were ripped across her face where Hermione had lashed out to protect herself, some of them where bleeding slightly.

"You little...URGH!" Pansy fumed, throwing a book that prompty screamed across the library. Other students had turned to watch now, interest in their eyes. Several of them knew of Hermione and Draco's meetings and, to their surprise, approved fully of them. Many had taken their wands out, ready to protect Hermione at any costs, besides, she was out numbered around twenty three to one.

Draco was smoothing Hermione's hair back into place, kissing the top of her head. The people looking at Hermione from the side could see where the concealed Draco was as her hair moved back into place. They smiled secret smiles to themselves, and wondered what Draco would do.

"I can't believe you!" Pansy spat, "Kissing people who are out of your league in the hall ways, a filthy little mud blood like you!"

Several people saw a wand appear behind Hermione.

"You stole my fioncee from me, and you will pay! Give him back!" She hissed, the fury in her voice shot through her words like bullets and Hermione leant back into Draco slightly more.

"He's not mine to give!" Hermione said disbelieving Pansy's attitude towards Draco, she thought of him like a posession. "It's his choice who he is with! You can't do anything about it!"

"You LIAR! Give him back NOW Or i'll crack your filthy mudblood skull against the desk!" Pansy threatened.

Hermione gasped.

Draco materialised and pushed Hermione behind him.

The people watching whispered in horror, and some laughed evily when Draco appeared, the drama was getting better.

"You'd what Pansy?" He asked politely, "I didn't quite catch that." His smooth voice was laced with malice, his pale eyes glittering fury, his adonis like body protecting Hermione.

Although, she was slowly loosing consciousness from behind Draco, as the throbbing pain ripped through her body once more.

Pansy paled. The scratches on her face bright and gleaming.

I love how you make it detailed so you can just picture it in your mind.I'm glad Draco stood up to for Hermione thats just so sweet!

That was so sweet it was pretty because Draco stood up for hermione and hermione beat the pug down that was great. Draco was wright to choose Hermione but i still want to know if he has to kill Hermione or if he kills himself with her.? wow so many questions. don't answer them all though if they involve future chapters.

OMG!!! This fic is amazing!!!!!!!!!! You have done an awesome job, and are a terrific writer!!!!! I can't even begin to post my favorite parts!!! They're all just so awesome! But this one does stand out:

Thats exactly what Draco did, "Yeah," He smirked, slipping his arms around her waist as Hermione gazed at him stunned, "But you want me."

He pressed his lips to hers in one soft swift movement. Screams from the surrounding pupils echoed of the walls but they weren't heard to Draco and Hermione. All they knew was each other and the sweet bliss that was that kiss.

That was just so hotttttt!!! PAMS!!!!

"You!" Pansy gasped angrilly, "how dare you! You're putting your heratige to shame!" She hissed at him furiously. She wiped away the blood that had began to dribble slowly down her face and continued to scowl at Draco.

His God like form was stood towering over her, his wand out and aimed if she was even to think of making a move towards Hermione. His platinum hair hung elegantly from his head, helping to concentrate that penetrating icy glare towards Pansy. He laughed dryly, feeling Hermione slump forward onto his back slightly, he gripped on to her with his free hand.

"I'm letting my heratige down am i?" He asked sarcastically, "Don't be pathetic, but care to tell me what you might do to Hermione?" He asked dryly.

Hermione was wavering between consciousness and that sleepy black world beyond. Her head was throbbing and the world was spinning. All she knew was Draco's hand on her wrist, his back holding her up. In all reality, this probably was the most contact they had ever had.

Pansy swallowed and looked adamantly back at Draco, her face paling slightly more. "You're mine Draco," She seethed, "and if Mudblood doesn't give you back, i'll smash her face in." She gasped once more, "Be true to the pure blood you are" she tried to urge.

Draco tossed his head back in a mocking nod to say that he understood. "Oh right!" He mocked, "Of course! My pure blood heratige! Right now, i don't see what blood has to do with it. Also what if i'm not her's to give Pansy? Hmmm? What makes you think i want you? What if i want Hermione?"

Draco loved saying her name, and as he felt her waver once more behind him his heart skipped a beat. He was scared for her. The idea that he was to be given back to Pansy disgusted him through and through. He lov- he liked Hermione, not Pansy.

Pansy glowered, "You called her Hermione." She stated, her scratches becoming more prominent.

"Yeah, i did." He replied bluntly. "Get out of here Pansy, and i won't hurt you." He said quietly.

"You wouldn't dare." She retorted.
"Try me." He answered, he flicked his wand and due to speechless magic she flew back through the bookshelves and screamed, passing out as she hit the wall.

"Whoops," Draco whispered, "Maybe a bit to hard."

Behind him Hermione passed out.

"WHAT HAPPENED HERE?"

oh my god you need to post so i can find out what happens next you know. but it's really good i love how Draco stands up for her because it's so perfect. they are perfect to get her i hope they stay together forever. love is what makes them last the forbiden love for eachother.

The situation did not look good for Draco.

He had an unconscious Hermione leaning against him from behind. The girl he used to tease and insult until they were both blue in the face from yelling.

Across the room, leaving a path in the bookshelves, was a passed out Pansy. The girl he spent most of his schooling career, kissing until he was blue in the face.

To make matters worse, he was holding a wand in his hand.

"Er..." He stuttered to an extremely angry Madam Pince. He quickly let go of the wand as Madam Pince made a gesture as if to say 'Well?'
"I..." He tried to begin.

"He didn't do anything but try to protect Hermione." Said someone from one of the spectating tables.

Draco snapped round to see who had spoken and found it was none other than Ginny Weasley. His mouth fell open and Madam Pince looked stern.

"Miss Weasley!" She said shocked, "Are you telling me the truth?" Ginny nodded.

"Yes, i am, Pansy came over, screaming her head off, tearing books off the shelves, throwing things, and attacked Hermione, Draco got up and blasted Pansy off her before things got any worse. Only, Pansy threw a spell at Hermione at the same time Draco hit her with his, and she got thrown through all the bookshelves." Ginny lied smoothly.

Draco raised his eyebrows slightly, it just went to show what having so many brothers could do to you he thought. Although, she had changed the truth, she had just stuck up for him.

"Hmmmm" Madam Pince said, deciding if she could believe Ginny or not.
"It's true" Spoke up Harry and Draco's jaw dropped. Harry slipped his arm around Ginny's waist and nodded at Draco. To him, that small nod said every thing. It said he approved.

"Well Mr Potter, if you're backing it up, i suppose i have to believe you Miss Weasley." Madam Pince said, obviously disgruntled. "Now get Miss Granger to the hospital wing and Miss Parkinson too!" She said clapping her hands.

"You get Hermione," Ginny said, pointing to Draco, "i'll get Pansy." a delighted smirk was put on her face as she headed over to Pansy. She grabbed her hair, and dragged her over everything, making sure to hit her head on as much as possible.

I love your story!! I just got caught up with it and it is so good!!! I'm glad everyone found out about them even Harry. At least they're not all objecting to it like Ron is. Wonder what Draco will do with his orders. I think that they should just go into hiding somewhere. I know, that's a little too hard becuase their in school n' all but still, they gotta figure someting out!!! One question: why would Voldemort want Hermione dead? Great Post! PAMS!

Oh gosh! Sorry for not posting like i said i would, blame younger brother and him attempting to turn off the computer every ten minutes, grrrr....*pokes him* Any way...

Draco gently lifted the beautiful broken Hermione in to his arms and swiftly left the library, Madam Pince repairing the library and yelling at students to pick up all the books and place them where they were supposed to lie.

The hospital wing was cold white and ready for Hermione's arrival. Madam Pomfrey laid Hermione onto one of the beds and wiated for her to come to.
"What happened?" She asked Draco, plumping up the cushions behind her head.
"She was attacked in the library, mostly to her head and passed out." He replied, his voice was barren and bleak of any emotion.
"Just leave her for a while then, i'll give her something later on to clean up that nasty bruise she'll have." Madam Pomfrey said briskly, examining the back of Hermione's head gently. "You can stay if you want, but no getting in my way!" She continued, pulling him up a chair.

At that moment, Pansy was dragged in to the wing, she had woken up now and was grumbling in fury as Harry and Ginny held both her arms to her side and pulled her roughly in.
"Weaselette, i'd sponser you to let go of me! Give your worthless family some money!" Pansy spat struggling against the pair of them.
"Darling, i'd sponser you to take of that ugly face of yours, but thats not going to happen, so i won't let go." Ginny retorted calmly, tightening her grip on Pansy's arm.

Harry smirked, and Draco, over hearing Ginny's insult stifled back a laugh. He clutched Hermione's hand, and smoothed back the mane of dark caramel. His pale grey eyes closed in dismay, he was completely and utterly distraught.

He was not supposed to feel like this.

Behind him, Pansy was putting up a fuss and he sighed internaly, he had only been with her because of blood, not love. Soon enough, he was joined by Harry, as Ginny enjoyed taunting Pansy, she was getting revenge for Hermione.

Harry took a look at Hermione and his face fell, he turned those bright, piercing green eyes on to Draco and looked at him in the eye. Draco did not faulter under Harry's relenting gaze, yet, he knew what was coming.

"Why?" Harry's strong deep voice asked.
"Because..." Draco tried to begin, then faultered, not sure how to continue. He dropped his platinum blond head and shook it gently. "I..."
"Do you even know yourself?" Harry asked wisely, raising a black eyebrow.

Draco looked up at Harry across Hermione, and realised that what he had been through had made Harry grow up. He knew what he was talking about, there was something in the face that told him that Harry had seen too much and been through too much. There was something that gleamed through the jade orbs that shook Draco to the core.

"Yes, i do, i just don't know how to say it...how to admit such a betrayal." He said quietly, struggling so much so that his head fell into his hands once more.

"You love her don't you?" Harry asked, seeing in to the cold soul of Draco Malfoy, only, the fire had burnt through.

Draco clutched at the letter in his pocket.

That's so sweet i would have read it sooner but you know how thanksgiving goes and slow internet services well anyways i think that's so sweet that harry and ginny stuck up for Malfoy but i still think that hermione needs to wake up but who am i the writer.... no you are so i will now shut up.
