Blame New post ^_^ “Calm down, Chris. We’ll find him,” Bill repeated for the third time. “And if we can’t?” she said through clenched teeth. “We will,” Bill persisted. “Now think… Do you know anywhere that he could be hiding?” “I—I don’t know,” she muttered as she threw herself on the couch. She had gone to tell them immediately after finding the message and Charlie. But she made sure that Harry and Ginny still went on their Honeymoon, without knowing what was happening. She wasn’t about to ruin their special day. Hermione patted her back soothingly as she cried into her hands. Charlie was moved to Ron’s room, where Molly was tending to him. Christelle had stayed with him at first, but she eventually couldn’t stand looking at his wounds. She blamed herself for this whole mess. None of the Weasleys would be in danger if she had just stayed away from them. Charlie wouldn’t have been on the brink of death if she had stayed away. Christelle watched as Molly came down the stairs, her wand and some spare bandages in hand. “He’ll be fine,” she announced as she made for the kitchen. Christelle shifted uncomfortably for a moment before standing and walking up the stairs. She felt everyone’s eyes on her as she made her ascent, but she couldn’t meet their gazes, not after what she had done. She crept into the open door hesitantly and her eyes met ice blue. Charlie smiled at her, beckoning her with his hand. She slowly walked toward him, frowning. She didn’t want him to be happy to see her. That would only make it harder. She wanted him to be angry with her. She wanted him to blame her in every way. She wanted him to yell at her and tell her to leave, but that’s not what he gave her. “I’m glad you’re here,” he whispered with a grin as he caught her hand and pulled her on top of the bed with him. “Charlie,” she started, but he cut her off with his lips on hers. She had a tear falling down her cheek as he pulled back and smiled at her, only to frown when reading her expression. “What’s wrong?” he asked immediately as he wiped her cheek. She shook her head quickly, her hands fumbling nervously in her lap. “Why aren’t you mad?” she finally whispered. “Why don’t you hate me for bringing you into this?” “Chris, I could never hate… This isn’t your fault, and I refuse to let you think otherwise,” Charlie whispered as he grabbed her chin and made her meet his eyes. “It is my fault! None of you would be in danger if I had stayed away! You wouldn’t have been hurt if I had left you alone!” “Chris, stop blaming yourself for him!” Charlie yelled in frustration. “I just feel like it would be better…that you would be safer if I disappeared for a little while,” she whispered. Charlie coiled his arm protectively around Christelle’s waist so that she couldn’t leave him. “That will only put you in more danger,” he whispered. “But it will put you in less,” she whispered back, her forehead up against his. “Not really… Bobby will still have a target on me with or without you staying with me,” he reasoned. Christelle knew this, but she still felt that he would be safer without her. “Charlie, please,” she whispered as she closed her eyes. He stroked her cheek softly, wiping away fallen tears. “It’s out of the question, Chris,” he whispered. “I wasn’t asking,” she mumbled. “You know what I mean,” Charlie chuckled. “Today was the best day of my life, before all of this happened. You and me…I was happy, Charlie, thank you for everything,” Christelle whispered . “You sound like you’re saying goodbye,” Charlie said as he narrowed his eyes. Had he not made himself clear? “I am… Please don’t make this harder than it has to be,” Christelle whispered as she struggled against his hold on her waist. “I’m not letting you do this to yourself, Chris! I’m not letting you do this to us, to me!” he shouted in frustration as he ignored her struggles and held her more tightly. “And I’m not letting you put yourself in danger by staying with me!” she yelled back. “Don’t do this… Please,” he whispered in anguish and she stopped fighting him, letting her fall flat on top of him, her head on his chest. He sighed in relief as her hand twisted in his red locks. “I’m a horrible person for staying,” she finally whispered. “No you’re not,” he rumbled against her neck as he stroked her hair. “What did I do to deserve you?” Christelle whispered as she kissed his shoulder. “Trust me—you got the short end of the stick,” he chuckled. Christelle leaned up, her elbows on his shoulders, to look at him. Her mascara was smudged and her nose was pink, but he still thought she was the most beautiful thing in his world. He cupped her cheeks in his hands and pulled her toward him so he could kiss her nose softly. She bit her lower lip as she brushed some of his bangs out of his eyes. “We have to be more careful, and I don’t want you going anywhere alone,” she whispered. “That goes for you, too,” he said quietly. She nodded absently as she snuggled into his side. “What if we never catch him?” she whispered after a few minutes of silence. “We will,” he said gruffly. She nodded again as his fingertips drifted up and down her arm, causing her to grow sleepy, until she finally drifted off into a peaceful slumber. What do you think? :glomp: |

Hello Emily. Goodness! It's good that Charlie is going to be ok now. And I'm so glad Christelle decided not to leave. I'm wondering how Bobby got into the house in the first place. And how he was able to hurt Charlie without anyone knowing. These things I will be watching for answers to. I know it's not part of the storyline, but just curious, where did Harry and Ginny go for their Honeymoon? Nice job Emily. I'll be watching for your next post.:glomp: |

Great posts Emily I'm sorry I haven't been on lately so is Lauren but she went into early labor and the babies and her are both struggling right now, fighting - for their lives - but fighting all the same. She's been in the hospital for a few days, days that feel like years, but the doctors are saying it's not looking promising for any of them. Anyways I was reading it all to Lauren and she fell asleep a few minutes later because she is so weak and tired, but she did say it was good, but that Bobby needs to go, but I think that Bobby is just making things interesting - terrifying for them - but interesting all the same. I can't be on long. I'll talk to u and everyone as soon as I can. :) !Jesse! |

Nightmares New post time! And I'd like to dedicate this post to Lauren and Jesse. I love you guys and I hope the new year turns out better than how it's started. :glomp: “Charlie? Charlie!” Christelle yelled as soon as her hands found nothing in their bed. She had just had a nightmare that Bobby had kidnapped him and was torturing him horribly. Waking up to Charlie not being there was doing nothing for her heart beat. It pounded furiously in her chest as she scrambled off the bed and grabbed her wand. And then she heard the thundering footsteps. She held her wand steady, the curse on the tip of her tongue as a dark shadow appeared in the doorway, his wand pointing forward too. “Stupefy!” Christelle screamed and the body flew backwards and slumped against the hallway wall. Christelle shakily turned on the hallway light and gasped. She had just cursed Charlie. “Oh no! I’m sorry, Charlie!” she exclaimed in panic as she helped him to his feet. He looked annoyed and amused at the same time. The front of his shirt was drenched from the glass of water that had been in his hand. “Are you okay? Why were you screaming?” he asked gently as he led them back to the bed. “You weren’t here when I woke up and I had just had a dream that Bobby kidnapped you,” she mumbled as she discarded her wand on the bedside table. “Sorry…I got thirsty,” he chuckled. “Sweetie, we have protection charms surrounding the entire flat; he’s not going to be able to get in here, much less find us… We’re in Romania, love, he thinks we’re still in England,” he whispered as he pulled her back against his chest, sitting in between his legs, his arms wrapped around her waist. “I wouldn’t underestimate him if I were you,” she whispered. “Trust me, after the Burrow incident, I am far from underestimating him,” he said with a harsh tone and she flinched. She let her head fall back against his shoulder and he kissed her cheek. “I’m so—” she started but his hand over her mouth stopped her apology. “Stop apologizing for things that aren’t your fault,” he said firmly. She bit the insides of her cheek to stop the frustrated reply that always set them in a fight. It was her fault, but she soon learned to not voice that opinion. Charlie sunk down on the bed, causing Christelle to sink down too, so that he was flat on his back, with her back still flush against his chest. “C’mon, you need to get some sleep; you have a big game tomorrow,” Charlie mumbled in her ear and she sighed. “Just don’t leave again,” she whispered and she felt the vibrations from his silent chuckle as he wound his arms around her waist and held her tightly. Christelle looked up; her hands were bound in chains to the ceiling, her feet had similar bounds to the floor. She looked straight ahead and whimpered. Charlie was on the ground, screaming as he twitched in agony. She had never heard Charlie scream before and she never wanted to hear it again. Tears streamed down her face as she watched the wand pointing straight at him. The wizard behind the wand was still in the shadows as he laughed. “Stop it! Take me instead! Torture me! Kill me! Just leave him alone!” Christelle screamed at him. The man turned his head to her, stalking toward her slowly. Charlie stopped twitching, and Christelle couldn’t tell if he was breathing or not. She brought her attention back to the man as he stepped into the light and her eyes went to saucers. Bobby. “Oh, I plan on killing you, don’t worry, love. But first, I want you to suffer,” he replied placidly. Bobby turned back to Charlie then, to emphasize his point. “Crucio!” “No! No, no, no, no! STOP!” Christelle screamed over and over again and she felt someone nudging her arm. “Wake up, love,” Charlie said softly. “No, no, no, no! STOP!” she screamed again and Charlie jumped away from her in shock. “Chris?” he asked in surprise. Her eyes peeled open as he walked slowly toward her. She started sobbing as she scrambled from the bed and launched herself in his arms. “It was just a dream,” he murmured into her hair. She clung to him more tightly as one of her hands wandered over his chest to feel his heartbeat. “You’re still breathing,” she whispered and he chuckled lightly. “Of course, love, it was only a dream.” “You’re—you’re okay?” she whispered shakily as she pulled back to look at him. “Yes, I’m perfectly fine,” he said as he kissed her nose softly. “And you’re going to be late if you don’t get ready,” he smiled. “I—I don’t know if playing today will be a good idea,” she whispered as she hugged him again. “You can’t let him get to you, Chris. You can’t stop living your life, because when you do, he wins,” Charlie said firmly and she nodded slowly. “Okay,” she whispered. “You’re right,” she said as she kissed his cheek, but tightened her hold on him. “To do that, you’re going to have to let go, sweetie,” he chuckled. She shook her head quickly as her arms circled his neck, locking him to her. “Not yet,” she whispered. What do you think? :glomp: |
Aww Em this was really good! I could see her nightmares :\ I don't want Charlie hurt:( He's strong and brave, he'll be fine! PAMS PAMS K x |
Hello Emily. Poor girl! She has had such a hard and cruel life. Nightmares are awful, and even worse when they're about someone you love. You certainly was able to make us feel her anguish. I think Charlie is strong and smart enough to dodge Bobby. He's used to handling dragons after all! Great job Emily. I'll be watching for your next post.:glomp: |
Great post Emily :) |
