The Promise I think it's time for a new post! ^_^ “George,” they both said together. “I should have known… I’ll just leave you alone then,” Christelle murmured as she made for the door. Charlie was about to go after her when she reached the doorknob. The door wouldn’t open. “Sorry, but we’re not letting you out until you work this out!” they heard George’s voice through the door. Christelle growled and plopped back down on the bed. “Sorry you’re stuck with me,” Charlie mumbled as he took a seat in his desk chair. Christelle lifted her head from her hands and studied him for a moment as he looked at a place above her head. “Are you really? Because I’m not,” Christelle whispered. “Then why did you try to leave?” Charlie asked in confusion, a little hope making it through. “Because I thought you wanted me to… You wouldn’t even look at me, Charlie! You’re still not looking at me,” she shouted in a whisper. “I just… didn’t want to look at you again and have it feel like I’ve lost you again,” Charlie mumbled. Christelle watched his face fall slightly before she got off the bed and made her way to him. She sat on top of his lap and his arms immediately coiled around her waist. They had sat like this many times when they lived together. Though it was always when Christelle was crying and Charlie was comforting her. “You haven’t lost me, Charlie,” Christelle said softly. “Haven’t I?” he countered. She shook her head quickly as she took his face in between her hands. “I just needed time,” she whispered. “And now?” he whispered back. “And now… I’m ready,” she whispered breathlessly. She wasn’t sure what she was doing. She hadn’t planned any of this; she was planning on staying away from him—from any men. Yet…it was Charlie. He had to be decent right? But a voice in the back of her head kept telling her that no man was decent and her past proved it. “Charlie, I just—” She was suddenly silenced by his mouth on hers, caressing her lips urgently, trying to put his every emotion in one simple movement. Christelle let herself enjoy the feel of his mouth on hers before she weakly pulled away. She stared down at the tie around his neck as he tucked a stray hair behind her ear, cupping her cheek in his callused hand. He lifted her chin so that she would look at him, their gaze never wavering. “You just, what?” he finally whispered. Christelle gasped at the huskiness of his voice before she finally stood and swiftly walked to the window on the far side of the room. Charlie’s eyebrows knit in confusion as he roughly stood and walked up behind her. “I can’t be with you, Charlie,” she whispered as he was about to place his hands on her bare shoulders. “Why not?” he demanded as he spun her around to look at him. He saw the vulnerability and hurt in her eyes and quickly backtracked. “Men are all the same; that’s what I’ve learned over the years. Why would you be any different?” Christelle whispered as she tried to walk away from him. She was going to hex George into next week when she got out of that room. “I’m not them, Chris, I’m not Bobby, I’m not Jared, and I’m not your parents. I’m not going to hurt you,” he said softly. “That’s what they all say,” she smiled sadly. He growled in frustration as he once again went to her side. He grabbed her hands in his, refusing to let go. “What will it take for me to convince you that I’m not them? I’m not going to hurt you!” he shouted. She flinched as she tried to yank her hands free. She had to get out of this room. She had to get out of this room before Charlie would convince her. She looked up quickly into his piercing blue eyes and regretted it immediately. It was as if her eyes were stuck there. She couldn’t look away, and what scared her more, was the fact that she didn’t want to. She saw the sincerity, the passion, the trust, and even the love. “Promise me,” she whispered before she could stop herself. He grinned momentarily before crashing his lips to hers in passion. She groaned into his mouth as she finally let herself feel. He pushed her up against the wall of his bedroom and she smiled into his mouth. He pulled back from her, once again cupping her cheeks in his hands. Her fingers were digging into his waist before they gently moved up his spine and wrapped around his body. “I promise.” “Are you two almost finished? Ginny’s impatient and would like her wedding to begin…” they heard George shout through the door. Charlie laughed as he pulled on her hand to follow him. “Yeah, we’re good,” he said with another laugh. George opened the door and the couple was greeted with many eager faces. They all looked suspiciously at their grins before zeroing in on their intertwined fingers. “Should we go ahead and make it a double wedding?” George sniggered as Christelle flushed pink and Charlie sent his younger brother a look. Christelle turned to Charlie, kissed his cheek, straightened his tie, and whispered something about going to Ginny. Charlie watched after her dreamily until she was out of sight and then he turned to George and hit him upside the head. “You should be thanking me!” George said indignantly in outrage. “Yeah, you can consider that my thanks,” Charlie said with a smirk before disappearing down the stairs, whistling to himself. Everybody happy?? ;) |

You will suffer. And so will he. Here's a short new post ^_^ “Have I mentioned how amazing you look yet?” Charlie asked with a grin as he and Christelle danced around the marquee. Ginny and Harry were whispering to themselves as they held each other while Ron and Hermione did much of the same. “You may have mentioned it once…or six times,” Christelle laughed. Charlie chuckled lightly as he pulled her tighter against him. “You’re moving back in with me, right?” he mumbled into her hair, his cheeks flushing slightly. Christelle chuckled, kissing his neck. “Unless you don’t want me to,” she answered. Charlie sighed in relief as he kissed her shoulder. “Of course I want you to,” he whispered and Christelle smiled. Just then, a little boy with bright pink hair started tugging on the hem of Charlie’s robes. “Grandma Molly needs you,” he said, looking up at Charlie with large eyes. He tousled Teddy’s hair as he detached the child from his leg. “Want to dance?” Teddy asked with a grin. Christelle chuckled as the little boy planted his feet on top of hers and grabbed her hands. Christelle twirled them around the dance floor as he laughed. Four dances later, and Charlie still hadn’t come back, so Christelle politely claimed she needed to rest and Teddy went on his way. “Molly?” Christelle asked as she approached the older woman. “Did you send Charlie out on a full blown mission?” she asked with a chuckle. Molly looked at her quizzically before her eyes travelled toward the house. “No… I just sent him to grab some more fruit and he went to grab his present for Ginny and Harry,” Molly answered with a frown. . “I’ll go after him… I’m sure he’s just dawdling,” Christelle said with a small chuckle as she made for the house. The kitchen door groaned to life as she opened it, but that was the only sound. She was almost sure that Charlie would be humming or whistling to himself on the other side of the door. She cautiously pushed her way through the room and into the living room, but once again found nothing. She slowly made her way up the stairs, peering through Ginny’s room and the bathroom. Nothing. She pulled out her wand and shivered as she turned the knob to Charlie’s room. It was completely trashed; the desk chair was broken and strewn over the carpeted floor, papers were everywhere, some with traces of blood upon them. Christelle’s breaths came in gasps as she saw a message on the wall appear in the same bloodied red from her old apartment. You will suffer. And so will he. And then, she saw the body. Sooo, you had to know I couldn't keep it all happy, right? :eyebrows: What do you think? |
