Hello Emily. This is what I get for waiting to comment. Sophie has already taken all the same thoughts I had as I read this, and expressed them very well. I especially agree with Bobby would do well in Hollywood. I think there won't be any getting drunk from the two of them. I think they walk into Bobbys office where he's working and see what (who) he's working on. :xd: Of course, it's just a thought. I'll be watching for your next post to see what happens.:glomp: |

Blast From the Past, Part One New post time! ^_^ “Er, is there a reason why we’re not just Apparating there?” Christelle asked after a few minutes of silent walking. “Because I don’t really want to leave my motorcycle here,” he replied with a chuckle. “Oh,” she said shortly. “You’re okay with that, right?” he asked nervously. “Oh, yeah, I’ve just never ridden one before,” she said quietly as she tried to will the sweat conforming on her hands to go away. He gave a small chuckle as they stopped in front of the sleek black bike. Christelle looked at it nervously as he watched her watching it. He put his hand on her lower back and guided her over to what she thought was a sure death trap. “Come on, I promise you’ll be fine,” he whispered. She stopped short, despite his hand leading her forward. “I don’t know,” she said, biting her lower lip. She looked up into his face and she saw the eagerness in his expression. “Umm, do I sit in the front or back?” she whispered. “The back,” Charlie replied happily. Christelle nodded slightly, gulped, and put her leg over the motorbike. He chuckled soundlessly as he sat down in front of her. He reached back to grab her hands and pull them around his waist and she complied. Her chin automatically went to rest on his shoulder as he revved the bike up. Christelle screamed as the motorcycle lurched forward before lifting up in the air. “You didn’t tell me it was a flying motorcycle!” she accused in panic. “Oh, did I forget that part?” he laughed as she clutched him more tightly and buried her head in his neck. “You’re a bloody Keeper; this can’t scare you,” he said incredulously. “This is different from a broom and you know it,” she mumbled, her voice muffled from his skin. He laughed lightly as her nails dug into the patch of skin she had managed to find by his navel. They landed nearly thirty minutes later with a not so soft thud. Christelle knew he had done it on purpose, so when their feet were safely planted on the ground, she smacked his arm. “What was that for?” he asked incredulously, though she could tell he wanted to laugh. “You know what,” she grumbled as she smoothed out her shorts. “Come on; I can tell you need a drink,” Charlie chuckled as he tugged on her hand and they started moving toward the pub. “Where are we?” Christelle asked timidly as she averted her eyes away from the drunken men, barely able to stand, on the corner that were watching her. She moved closer to Charlie, clutching his wrist. “You do realize that if they tried to make a move on you, you could just use your wand?” Charlie asked in bemusement as he took her hand in his and squeezed it gently. “Y-yes, I know,” she said nervously. It wasn’t necessarily that she was scared of them, just what they represented. What she’s tried to get away from for so long. And yet it continually followed her around wherever she went. She would never truly be free of her past. She involuntarily moved closer to him as the men whistled. Charlie’s eyes knitted in confusion but he didn’t object to the closeness. They hurried through the door and made for a back table. Charlie held up a two and the bartender nodded, sending two shots of something their way. Christelle eyed him suspiciously and he laughed. “What? So, I happen to be a regular here. Is that so bad?” Charlie asked innocently. “Hey, Charlie,” purred a skimpy bleach blonde woman with their drinks. She surreptitiously leaned toward Charlie, touching his shoulder as she smiled at him and placed the shots on the table. “Hi, Trixie,” Charlie smiled. “Keep ‘em coming, will you?” he asked sweetly. She nodded with a huge grin before turning to eye Christelle rudely. Charlie cleared his throat and Trixie straightened up and headed back to the bar. “A regular what, exactly?” Christelle muttered, though she couldn’t help the jealousy that bubbled up inside her. “So, are you dating anybody?” she asked conversationally. “Nope,” he grinned, popping his “p”. Christelle blushed slightly and quickly grabbed her shot of who knows what and downed it one, grimacing at the burn it caused in her throat. They both studied each other for a long time until Christelle couldn’t take the silence anymore. “So… Ginny tells me you work with dragons?” she asked awkwardly. Charlie chuckled quietly. “Yep, it’s fun. I’ve always loved animals,” he added. “Me too, Care of Magical Creatures was always my favorite in school,” Christelle murmured. “So did you go to Hogwarts?” Charlie asked. “Nope, I went to Beauxbatons. I was one of the exchange students, I guess you could say,” she added. Charlie just nodded as she looked over towards the door. The men from outside were stumbling through it, looking for her. One spotted her and grinned stupidly, motioning to his friends. “Do you know them, by chance?” Charlie asked as he followed her gaze. Christelle looked at the men more closely and realized that she did know them, well at least one of them. “I need to leave, Charlie," she whispered, going rigid. |
