Chapter Sixty (Part One)

Harry and Ginny sat on the couch, Ron was looking at Harry slightly affronted, Hermione was all smiles and Ginny didn’t seem to notice Ron’s coldness. It was the morning after there meeting with Remus but also the morning after the night which had seen Harry and Ginny sleep in the same room, and in the same bed much to the distain of Ron despite Molly’s blessing.
It wasn’t going to be easy for Ron to let go of his little sister, Harry thought to himself but when Ginny looked up at him he realised he’d thought it loud enough for her to hear.
“Nothings going to slip past you is it?” he said and grinned kissing her forehead, forgetting Ron’s eyes on him.
“So potions and Defence against the dark arts tonight?” said Hermione as they were discussing the homework to be done “Have you spoken to anyone about what you’ll say at the trial, me and Ron have been talking to each other, but you’ll really defending yourself, were only witnesses”
“Remus spoke about it with us yesterday, just said to tell the truth and we’ll get through it. He showed us the paper” he gestured to the parchment on the coffee table with his miserable looking face on it and the title ‘Harry Potter: Villain or Hero?’
“We’re ok, the dreams are not violent anymore, there still there but we can sleep though them with out all the hitting out and screaming” Ginny said smiling, they were getting to the stage were they were talking as one already.
“But it’s looking good, the people are behind us” Said Harry,
Ron’s face changed in expression as he spoke “The thing is it’s not the both of you on trial it’s just him” he said bitterly to Ginny,
“Don’t start up again, please Ronald, don’t” she sighed, “Me and Harry, together we’re getting through all this, we feel the same, like one person if Harry’s on trial so am I”
He grunted and Hermione elbowed him sharply in the ribs.
“Look mate, it’s not like we intended this too happen, I mean I’m hardly going to plan giving her nightmares, making us both ill and generally making her life hell by having her share my thoughts” Harry said feeling Ginny squeeze his hand and Ron grunted another reply which Harry took to be that Ron was going to think about it and probably giving it a few days before being back to his usual miserable self.
“We’d better go to class – see you at lunch” Said Hermione, the look on her face giving away that she was going to give Ron a stern telling off during Herbology, whether he liked it or not.

Harry and Ginny looked at each other, said there goodbyes and went back to relaxing on the couch. They’d been left alone, but there was always someone within ear shot to hear them talk, or burst in during a kiss or anytime they were actually alone. Madam Pomfrey was this person and they couldn’t wait for the trial to be over so they could get away from her. Harry’s cloak had been locked in his trunk but now being well enough to use it he was itching for a trip to the room of requirement with Ginny.

“No” she replied firmly “If they see we’ve gone, they’ll want to know why and telling them it’s because of your libido isn’t going to get us in there good books”
“It was just a thought” he grinned,
“Well not a very sensible one”
“Fine” He feigned a sulky face only to grin when she kissed him “You can’t say no and then torment me” He said with a smile as the kiss ended.
She laughed “I can do what I like, your not going to say no to a kiss when you’re not getting anything else”
“Your right” he said ignoring her grin of superiority over him by taking her face in his hands and kissing her again.

The time was short lived when Willow came in not having a lesson and Madam Pomfrey had other duties to perform. She had knocked but then came in and realised why they hadn’t noticed. She coughed slightly and they jumped, pulling there face away from each other to look up at her.

“Sorry” She spoke apologetically, “I know you don’t get much time alone and when you do… tomorrow night, the night before the trial you’ll have to you’ll have all to yourselves. I’ll tell McGonagall, I’m sure she won’t have problem with it”
Ginny and Harry smiled gratefully,

“Thanks” came there reply simultaneously, before they realised what had happened, looked at each other and burst out laughing. Willow just looked between them, then sitting down on the couch opposite. When it had stopped she started to talk.

“So how were the dreams last night?”
“Dreamless” he grinned “Could hardly believe it when Ginny said she hadn’t saw anything either”
“That’s a good sign, let’s just hope your both good for next year when you’re off being an Auror and she’s here”
“I hope so” She smiled “But wait, how do you know about the auror training thing”
“Ahh I never told you did I” she smiled “Every year the ministry goes to the teachers of the seventh year classes and asks for a recommendations to there four best students from each, to get them straight into training for the next year and get them into employment, Harry was one of those four – the other three will get there letters soon, I suppose you got yours this quickly because they didn’t want you snapped up to do something else before they could get there hands on you”
“Why threaten me with prison if they want me to work for them?”
“Different departments think differently about you, you have the support of the whole magical law enforcement department but the minister, his aids and the people under his main control are influenced into thinking otherwise”
“Do non of the departments ever talk to each other?” asked Ginny “This just seems ridiculous”
Willow sighed “It is ridiculous, but there are worst punishments awaiting you if you don’t go by their rules – you could get a sentence in Azkaban just for not turning up to the trial”
“That’s – that’s medieval, I mean that’s the way people thought when we did history at muggle primary school” Said Harry, his eyes widening as he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“That’s still how some of the magical world is run, didn’t you learn anything in history of Magic”
“He failed it; he passed out in the exam” Said Ginny,
“Ah yes I remember Uncle Albus telling me about that” She grinned and then cringed and shuffled slightly holding her over expanded belly
“She doesn’t half kick sometimes, you’ll have a replacement teacher for the end of this week and year; I’m going home because she’s due in a month”
“Should you really be in court?”
“Don’t you start that Harry, we’re fine and we’re coming – if it weren’t for you she wouldn’t have a world to come into”

He quietened down in submission, there was no point trying to stop her from going just like he couldn’t stop Ginny. They were trying to keep him out of Azkaban but even with them and the wizarding community behind him it was the minister who would have the final say. He wanted to know why this guy hadn’t come to see them, to see McGonagall when Ginny spoke to him. He’d been staring off into space thinking for a minute and she knew it all,

“Don’t think like that”
“This is going to be annoying having you in my head isn’t it”
“Only if you’re not going to be rational or optimistic in your thoughts” She smiled, moving in closer to him and snuggling into his arms against his chest.
“I’m going to go lie down” smiled Willow “Make sure you’re not still occupied at lunch so I’m awake for Madam Pomfrey’s visit”
“Ok” smiled Ginny
“Be good” she grinned closing the door behind her. Harry made a move to kiss her but she pushed him away “Work then fun, she said to be good”
“I didn’t hear anything” he grinned continuing to lean in. She laughed and let him pull her into his arms properly before kissing her.

Ohhhhhhhh, great chapter!!!!!! I know this had been said about a gazillion times but Harry and Ginny are so cute together!!!!!!!!! And now with their shared connection they're even more adorable!!!!!!! PAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter Sixty (Part two)

Harry came out of the kitchen in the quarters, levitating a plate of sandwiches and four glasses of pumpkin juice in front of him. Hermione, Ron and Ginny were sitting on the couches talking and he put them down on the coffee table.
Ginny grabbed her glass as Harry sat down before sitting across him so he couldn’t move.

“Come on Gin” he grinned “I need to eat and drink too”
She laughed “Here” he took the glass from her hand and she leaned forward picking up two sandwiches and getting comfy on his lap again.
Hermione and Ron watched them mid bite in there own food as Harry and Ginny ate at exactly the same time, taking turns from drinking from the single glass in seamless motions that looked like they hadn’t even thought about anything they were doing. They hadn’t and when they’d finished and looked at Ron and Hermione staring they stared back.
“What are you two looking at?”Said Harry,
“We haven’t sprouted second heads right?” Ginny said looking up at Harry as he laughed,
“You both just did something really weird” Hermione spoke trying to choose her words carefully “More weird then usual”
Ron it seemed could only gape and point in between them his ears turning red as Ginny and Harry began to laugh even more.
“You were eating at like the exact same time and the way that glass passed between you… it was amazing”
“Amazing – never been called when I eat” Harry said grinning “It’s usually pig”
“Oh well it’s the link thing again”
“Is that was we’re calling it now ‘the link thing’?”
“You got a better idea pig”
“Not really Ginger”
“Oi” she grinned punching his arm playfully.
Ron and Hermione looked at each other then back at them laughing when the middle door opened and a red faced Willow appeared “She’s coming, she’s early but she’s definitely coming” She leant on the door frame clutching her belly.
“Ron, get Madam Pomfrey, Harry send a patronus to Caleb, Ginny help me get her inside the room” Said Hermione delegating tasks. They got up and jumped into life, Ron running out and down the corridor, Harry pulling out his wand and sending the message and Ginny wrapping her arm round Willow to put her back in the bed with Hermione holding her other side.
“I’ll get McGonagall and meet them at the gates, they won’t get in otherwise – Filch” Said Harry as Ginny came back out and nodded before going back inside the room again to Willow’s cry of pain.

Harry dashed out meeting Ron in the hallway not faraway; the nurse was already on her way up to see them when Ron had stopped her. They ran past each other Harry going straight into the great hall. All eyes were on him as he ran to the head’s table. He and Ginny hadn’t been seen for nearly three days, and now he appeared without her looking worried, people’s thoughts became suspicious of the circumstances. They had been told he was ill so was Ginny and that they had to avoid the attention of the trial. He didn’t look sick he was sprinting.

“It’s happening, the baby, Willow” he said breathlessly, McGonagall only just heard.
She stood up quickly and though it seemed impossible because of how old she looked she kept up the run Harry set as they sped out of the great hall and outside to the gates.
Caleb was already there and as Harry had suspected Filch was there and Hagrid was on his was over to see what the fuss was about.
“My fiancée is in there having our baby”
“I need to see some identification” Said Filch slimily, enjoying watching Caleb squirm.
“Open the gates yah miserable old squib” yelled Hagrid “’Ere’s McGonagall and
‘Arry that’s all the proof yah need”
“Mr Filch, let this gentleman in” Said the professor drawing her wand to do it even as Filch went to get the key from his robes. But before he could Hagrid had reached the gates, leaned foreword and ripped the chain clean away “There yah go” He grinned opening them to a now smiling Caleb and watching them run back up to the castle.

Harry sighed “That was an exciting night” he flopped on to the couch, she lay across his lap, her head on the armrest by his hand as it trailed through her hair.
“She is gorgeous though” Ginny grinned “But I think our kids will be better looking”
“If Willow hears you said that she’ll throttle you”
“Your not going to tell her, and there at Mungo’s anyway”
“That is a good point – so you want kids then?”
“Yes” she said slowly “Why don’t you?”
“I never really thought about it, they just seemed to be someone else that can be taken away from me”
“Well with us as parent’s I doubt they’d be let outside the house let alone go to Hogwart’s, face a dark wizard, survive and join the ministry to fight bad guys for the rest of there lives with the chance of dying nearly everyday”
“You make my life sound terrible”
“Up until you started dating me it was” She grinned
“Yes, I fell in love with you and it just got worst!” he grinned back tickling her gently. She fought his grip to distract him with a kiss. It worked and when his brain realised what had happened it was two late, she’d already won. He sighed as they broke apart, “Well not worst” he smiled and she leapt up off his lap slightly to kiss him on the lips again before heading into his bedroom.

He took a second glance realising that she’d gone into his room and not her own and then followed her inside. She had her wand in hand and the door clicked locked behind him. She was standing in front of the bed as she smiled,

“Madam Pomfrey said she wouldn’t be back tonight, McGonagall went to the hospital and said she would let us have tonight and tomorrow to ourselves, I’m sure what you were thinking about earlier on today hasn’t gone from your mind and I can bet you a galleon you can guess what I’m thinking without having to look” she said, placing her wand on the table and all the time walking forward towards him as he stared at her rooted to the spot.

“I don’t have to guess” he grinned “I’m thinking the same” he moved forwards to meet her, lifting her off the ground in a kiss, his arms holding her in the embrace.

Chapter Sixty – One (Part One)

Ginny and Harry woke up to the sound of knocking and the threats of Madam Pomfrey.

“If you do not present yourselves dressed, respectable and in five minutes outside this door, I will be forced to open it and expose you both for your blatant disregard of the rules”
They leapt out of the bed; dressed quickly, checked they both looked ok before opening the door.

“Sorry Madam Pomfrey” said Ginny in an innocent, earnest sounding voice “We only locked the door by accident”
She made a distinct ‘humphing’ noise in reply as she was sitting on the couch waiting for them.
“Honestly Madam Pomfrey, it must have clicked itself when I closed the door, Ginny had already fallen asleep and I was half way there myself, must have turned the handle the wrong way” Harry said trying to sound convincing. The nurse made no attempt to suggest she believed his story but started to talk about Willow instead.

“The professor wished me to inform you they will be paying you a visit today, both her and the baby are fine, healthy and want to talk to you about something important”
“Oh erm ok” said Harry not really knowing how to reply,
“Does the little girl have a name yet Madam Pomfrey?” said Ginny,
“Nehelenia Rose Vaughn” She replied with a smile, “Beautiful name for a beautiful baby girl”
“It is” Ginny said, Harry looking at her face carefully and seeing the want for children already there wasn’t surprised. He smiled and spoke “Want does she want to speak to us about that can’t wait for a few day’s, I mean shouldn’t she be taking it easy?”
“It seems she is like you in that respect, ‘taking it easy’ doesn’t exist for her either” Madam Pomfrey looked at him talking with the tone of disapproval she had ready for when he did something she didn’t agree with.
“… so did she say when?”
“Dinner time, she wants’ to attend it to announce the birth”
“Are we allowed to go?”Said Ginny eagerly, two days locked away with Harry had its benefits, but not seeing the grounds, or talking to her friends or being around a whole school of people when you ate your three daily meals were things she missed.
“I think I could allow that given your progress, but remember the trial is tomorrow”
“We know” Harry leaned further and deeper into his seat on the couch, Ginny, noticed the anguish and took his hand, “It’s going to be fine, don’t worry, like you said, anything we do we do it together”
He nodded and got up going into the kitchen for a glass of water.
He heard Ginny ask what the time was and he looked at his own watch, ten past nine, they had slept in considering it was technically a school day, they would have been in class now. He leant his palms on the edge of the sink, his fingers over the rim and pointing down into the basin and he stood there holding on to it and closing his eyes.

What was he going to say to defend himself against the Wizengamot? She came at him first … it wasn’t him it was Voldemort’s wand… it was revenge for Sirius.
How could explain being possessed all those other times, the how and why he ended up in Voldemort’s body but Voldemort didn’t end up in his until he took Ginny, until he was certain he new what he could take from Harry to cause equal pain… that thought stopped him his thoughts… he’d taken Ginny in revenge for Bellatrix, her kidnapping and torture was now even more his fault then before. His head spun round and round until he felt her hands around his wrists, the delicate fingers trying to pry his hands off the sink edge his knuckles were white, from holding so tightly. He relinquished his grip, his eyes still unopened as she placed his hands round her waist, drawing him into her arms she whispered to him.
“Please, don’t do this, and don’t think like that I can’t bear it anymore…it… it hurts so much”
Tears fell from his closed eyes onto her shoulder; she pulled away as he opened his eyes.
She reached up with one hand wiping them away with her thumb,
“It’s all going to be fine”
“I believe you, I just…” he sighed taking her hands in his own “It’s too easy not to ignore that I could go to prison for a long time, I could lose you for the rest of my life for a stupid mistake”
“You going to win this, we’re going to win this, there not going to take you away from me your not going to let them and neither am I” she said firmly staring at him.
Last time it had been her crying trying to hold it together and him the one to help them get through it now he needed Hermione’s promise much more then if he had died. She would have to look after her if he didn’t get out of going to Azkaban.
He nodded faithfully, he agreed with her but it was still at the back of his mind, that feeling that this wasn’t going to be as easy to do as it was to say. She hugged him again, took his hand in her own and led him back out to the empty room. Madam Pomfrey closed the door to the middle room just as they entered, excusing herself from what was going on.

They sat beside each other on the couch Harry conscious arguing with his own and Ginny’s.
“Harry, this isn’t like fighting Voldemort” She said and he heard the slight tremble in her voice when she said his name “The Wizengamot were on your side once before, they have every reason to be so again”
“It’s just I don’t really have much to tell them without making myself out to be an nutcase”
“It wasn’t that you were a nutcase that you killed her it was because she, killed Sirius, it was that she ruined hundreds of life’s, it was that she was serving at his right hand killing, torturing and you had the opportunity to end it and you took it”
“It was me, I can’t blame it on anything else, I should be punished”
“Not for doing something that so many others wanted to do”
“SHE WAS A PERSON, A LIVING BREATHING PERSON AND I ENDED THAT” he stood up, shrugging away her arm when she tried to stop him, to hold him back.
He’d shouted at her, he was punishing himself for it, he’d said he’d never shout at her and now he was. She kept quiet taking a breath, opening her mouth for something to calm him but closing it when he continued.
“I KILLED, I’M A MURDERER, I DESERVE THIS AND LEAVING YOU IS MY PUNISHMENT”
“Harry don’t”
“Ginny listen” he knelt down in front of her, his hands on hers “I love you so much but…but… I killed somebody, she had a family, she may have been evil but she had people that loved her”
“Don’t try to rationalise it, and don’t tell me what your thinking, I swear Harry if those words come out of your lips I’m never going to talk to you, kiss you or even acknowledge you again”
“Ginny”
“NO! DON’T SAY ANYTHING”
“Gin”
“Don’t” she whispered stroking his cheek tears falling from both there eyes.
“I …can’t… we can’t… if I’m taken from you…”
“Your punishing yourself already don’t you see that?”
“Gin, listen to me”
“No Harry, you listen, you silly stupid boy!” she grasped his hands tighter and looked at him so fiercely he daren’t move “I’m not going to let anything stop me from bringing you back here with me tomorrow, you won’t go to Azkaban, I promise because she deserved to die, she was evil, and you, you did what other wizards failed to do, stopped her from killing anyone else – when you killed Voldemort who do you think would have got away if the order had tried to stop her, who do you think would have wiped out me and my family given the opportunity after you had killed him, just because we were close to you, just like Sirius. She killed your Godfather, that last part of your family you loved so much as she took him, her own cousin, and murdered him in cold blood in front of you. I know how much pain you went though Harry, remember I was the only one you would talk to, I know what she took from you and I know she deserved to die and if was by anyone else’s hand but yours it wouldn’t have been just”
Harry sat in awe in silence looking into her eyes as she spoke telling him off like a child and then telling him exactly what to keep him there beside her.
“But Gin”
“Don’t say another word” she let go of his hands walking away from him. He was still kneeling on the floor as her bedroom door closed and beat his fists into the couch.

He took a breath, and stood up shakily. He pulled himself together and then something crossed his mind so fast he new she wouldn’t see it. He walked into his room, grabbed his cloak, wand and the marauders map.

He left under his cloak and made his way out of the castle and into the grounds heading to the gate. He made his way out of the gate and into Hogsmeade. He went straight to the Hogshead and opened the door. Walking in and going to the bar he took off his cloak and watched Aberforth stare surprised before coming to life,

“It’s not even midday and your in here, I can’t serve you, and you know that”
“You know why I’m here and you know it’s not for a drink”
“I can’t do that” he glanced at the two patron’s seated in the otherwise empty pub, one under a large black cloak hooded to his nose and down to his ankles as he sat. The other creature was hairy and drinking something blue from a glass sitting on the floor in a corner.
“You’ll let me go because it’s going to keep me out of prison”
“Who are you going to see?”
“Why?”
“I can tell you if there in there or if they’ve been moved”
“Willow said all those up for trial the same day as me would be in this place not Azkaban”
“Who is he then?”
“The person I put in there, the first time me and Willow came here”
“Ahh” he nodded knowingly “And what can you do to persuade him?”
“Well I’m not going to; I’m going to ask him something”
“Such as”
“If I was going to tell you I would have already”
“Silly boy”
“She just called me the same thing” he mumbled but Aberforth was too deaf to hear it. He drew his wand, “Go in there” he gestured to the nearby door with his head before taking a dirty glass from the counter and following him in.
“When you get there say that you want to speak to Mr Kneeling directly and they’ll let you in no trouble and you won’t have to threaten to blow the doors down”
“You heard bout that did you?” he rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed,
“Yes, you got guts boy; learn when the best time to use them is eh” he grinned handing Harry the glass, before pointing it at with his wand. “And what shall I tell the red headed girl whose just arrived at my door?” he said looking out the filthy circle of glass in the door as Ginny looked around the bar.
“Send her back to the castle with this”. He took off the ring she had given him “Tell her I’ll be back for it”
“Hmm” Aberforth replied, pointed finally at the glass that turned blue and Harry disappeared as she burst through the door seeing the light and knowing what had happened.

Well, I gotta say that I think that I liked that chapter even if they fighted. I mean they are a couple and couples don't always get along, it wouldn't be normal nor healthy if they never had a fight and it's not like they won't make up...Anyway, I really do hope that Harry won't end up in prison....he doesn't deserve it. PAMS!!!!!!!!!!!
