Okay so the next chapter will come tomorrow morning...I just wanted to post now so I can tell you guys that...I AM SO AMAZINGLY HAPPY!!!!! I just returned from the concert of my favourite singer of all times (my favourite Greek singer of all times actually)!!!!!!! He was A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!! Me and my mates were at the first row and he touched my hand...HE ACTUALLY TOUCHED MY HAND!!!!!!!! This terrible month finally paid off...Oh, and just so you know I wrote the final chapter to this story and after this...it's gonna end with a concert....yep...and you have Michael Xatzigianni to thank for this!!!! Love ya...see you tomorrow with a whole new part!!!!

Chapter 20 continue

"Are you kidding me?" Ron exclaimed for the third time looking from Hermione to Harry completely taken aback.
"Does that mean that you're gonna go to jail, mum?" Rose asked terrified.
"No, Rose, she's not going to jail", Ginny answered before Hermione could.
"That's great Gin, but you know as well as I that it's only a matter of time before the aurors come here looking for me", Hermione sighed.
"Are you kidding me?" Ron repeated; Harry ignored him and sat next to his wife.
"Hermione don't worry; everything's gonna be okay", Harry told her but she shook her head.
"How did it happen?" Ginny asked Harry rubbing Hermione's back.
"I have no idea", he responded.
"Don't worry Hermione", said Ginny. "Sooner or later they'll know how wrong they were and they'll come crawling back".
"Yeah right", Hermione scowled. "It took them fifteen years to realize that Sirius was innocent, remember?"
"Hermione, I'm not gonna let what happened to Sirius happen to you", said Harry and Ginny nodded.
"It's already happening, Harry!" she exclaimed. "I'm accused for betrayal! I'm a fugitive!"
"Are you kidding me?"
"Ron!" Harry and Ginny shouted together rolling their eyes.

"What exactly did you expect to find, Matthias?" Harry asked his supervisor a couple of hours later as they were standing in the middle of the living room while the aurors were finally done searching every inch of Harry's house. Ginny and their kids were also waiting in the living room for them to finish with the searching.
"Harry try to understand", said Matthias wearily; he could tell how irritated Harry was but what choice did they had? "Hermione escaped; no one can find her or Ron or their kids and they were all formally living with you".
"Well, they don't anymore", said Ginny getting up from the couch. "So I'll be grateful if you could just get those..." she stopped and breathed, "...people...out of my house!" she added raising her voice in every syllable.
"Ginny I'm sorry for the disturbance..."
"Disturbance? You call breaking and entering in someone's house a disturbance?" Ginny shouted outraged.
"I'm sorry but it was necessary", said Matthias in a not so calm voice either.
"Harry is an auror for almost twenty years and after all of these that's what he gets?"
"Hermione was an auror for almost twenty years too and your friend for much longer than that", Matthias reminded her.
"Hermione..." Ginny started but as Harry glared at her she sighed and nodded. "Fine", she gave up. "Just get them out of here now, before I explode!"
"Gin, calm down...remember what the healers said. You shouldn't be getting upset or else the baby may be in trouble", said Harry kissing her forehead and she grunted and sat at the couch again next to her daughter.
"Look, I know how hard this is for you", Matthias sighed. "Hermione was someone that I would never have suspected too and it was big blow for me that she in fact was the traitor".
"Oh, come on!" James exclaimed as he stood against the wall. "Like you didn't hopelessly search for someone to blame everything on so you could make yourself believe that you're actually doing your job".
"JAMES!" Harry yelled warningly; the boy glared at his father for a few moments but then he lowered his head and focused on his shoes.
Matthias sighed and then walked out of the room with the last aurors following them. Harry looked from James to Ginny and then back to his son, who was avoiding his stare; then he followed Matthias outside.
"Matthias, James didn't mean to be so..."
"He was right", the old man admitted. "That was what the Minister wanted...something to show people he's doing job...and when Hermione escaped today..."
"What?" Harry asked as they reached the door of the back yard.
"Let's just say that I'll be retiring earlier than anyone had expected", said Matthias.
"What? When?" Harry asked unable to believe what he was hearing.
"They're throwing me a farewell party on the 31 of July...it's on your birthday actually", Matthias added with a bitter smile.
"And it's in five days!" Harry exclaimed. "Matthias, they can't do this to you!"
"They can and they did", the old man sighed.
"But..."
"If you have any information about Hermione you would give it to me right?"
Harry stared at him; he seemed desperate. But no matter how much he cared for Matthias, he couldn't let Hermione be harmed. He sighed.
"Yes, I would".


Two hours later they were all gathered at George's house, where Ron and Hermione had gone with their kids. After informing them about Matthias' retirement and his goodbye party, Harry left Ginny informing the others about the search and followed James upstairs to Roxanne's room, where the boy had sneaked into as soon as they arrived.
He knocked on the door and walked in. The two cousins were talking in low voices and Harry was certain that James was informing Roxanne about what had happened too. They both jumped when he opened the door.
"So I guess bursting into private areas is something all aurors do, even my dad, right?" James asked ironically. Harry narrowed his eyes.
"Cute", he replied using the same ironical tone. "Roxanne, can you please leave us?"
The girl glanced at James, who waved negatively at her and then she turned to Harry.
"Um...I'm sorry Uncle Harry, but this is my room. Are you kicking me out of my room?" she asked him crossing her hands in front of her chest.
"Um...let me think...yes", he responded and he held the door open for her. She sighed and gave a helpless look at James before she walked out. Harry closed the door behind her.
"It's not my fault, okay?" James started before his father could say a thing. "They're accusing Aunt Hermione while they could have been looking for the real person behind all of these! How can they possibly think that Aunt Hermione would do that to us? To me? Are they so stupid? Can't they see it's a set up? I mean it's so obvious that..."
"You're right".
"...a five year old could get it. What?"
"You're right", Harry repeated.
"I am?" James asked taken aback.
"Yes", Harry nodded. "You shouldn't have yelled like this to a man older than you, let alone my supervisor, but other than that you are right".
"So you're not gonna yell at me?" James asked confused.
"No", Harry replied. "I'm not. I promised myself that I'll do everything I can not to fight with you when there's not an important reason, Jamie, and I want to keep that promise".
James shook his head in agreement.
"Sorry for yelling at Matthias", he said.
"It's okay...just don't do it again; he really doesn't need more pressure now".
"Why?"
"They're making him retire earlier because Hermione escaped", Harry explained.
"Really? Oh, God, and I yelled at him!" said James falling back into the bed.
"Don't worry; he's not upset with you".
"Are you sure?"
"Would he ask me if your band can play to his farewell party, otherwise?" Harry asked back.
"Wait...what?"
"He wants Anasha to play on his farewell party on 31 of this month...and my humble opinion is that Anasha should accept this offer since there would be people form everywhere there...including people in the music business".
"Oh, really? That's great" said James forcing a smile.
"Okay you don't seem quite as excited as I thought you'd be", Harry pointed out. "What's wrong?"
"Its just that..." James started but then he regretted it and changed his sentence. "It's just that I don't have a quitar", added.
"So? We'll go buy one first thing tomorrow", Harry shrugged.
"But this thing is in five days and we haven't rehearsed since the very beginning of June and..."
"I have faith in you", Harry smiled. "Are you gonna do it?"
James looked at his father, who had just told him he had faith in him and he couldn't say no. He sighed and nodded.
"Okay, I'll the rest of the band know", he said and Harry beamed at him.
"Okay, then. You need to have some fun anyway", Harry nodded giving him a fleeting hug and walking outside the room, saying that he'll send Roxanne up in a minute.
James closed his eyes. Why did he say yes? He knew that he couldn't play with the scars in his hands and that his voice wasn't as clear as it used to be after all that happened to him. But most importantly he knew that he hadn't had the will and the courage anymore...

So I've been burning up for the last week and when you're in college there's no mum around to help you out. Thank God I 've got those amazing friends!!!!!! Thanks to every single one of you and Kate especially...and thanks to Maria for the phone-support...anyway...it didn't took too long this time, did it? Please read and post!!!! Oh, and I thought I should play a little with time and mix things up...you'll see...


Chapter 21

1 of August 00:12

No one can describe the chaos thas was reigning at that moment in the big, decorated ministry Hall. Most of the guests were running panicked towards the exits, while the large chandelier that was hanging from the ceiling was now lying in fragments on the floor.
Ginny was trying to make her way through the crowd to reach the other side of the room and the door that led to the higher floors where she knew that Harry, Ron and Hermione would be, but as everyone was moving towards the opposite direction it seemed impossible for her to reach that door.
"Mum!"
She turned and saw Lily trying to get to her through the crowd; she gave up on reaching the other side of the room and instead she tried to reach her daughter. When she finally met with her, she grabbed Lily's hand really tight.
"Where are your brothers?" she asked the girl.
"I don't know; last time I saw them they were backstage with Roxanne", Lily yelled back. "Where's dad?"
"I don't know", Ginny responded.
Just before she could tell her that they should probably get out and wait for the others there, somebody run down the stairs screaming. It was a young ministry employee and besides the fuss everybody managed to hear him.
"He's dead! The book is stolen!"

24 of July 20:20

Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione were all sitting around the kitchen table. None of them has spoken for the last twelve minutes and they were all lost in thought. Ron was holding Hermione's hand as she wiped her tears away every now and then.
"What are we gonna do?" said Ginny finally and they all looked up.
"What can we do?" Hermione returned the question. "We 've been through this for almost the entire day; there's nothing we can do. I'll just gonna have to remain a fugitive...for now at least".
"It's gonna be okay, honey" said Ron with a consoling voice. Hermione sighed. "We're gonna get through this".
"It's not me I'm worrying about; it's the kids. How can we make them go into hiding? What about their school? It starts again in one month..."
"They can't keep blaming you until then Hermione!" Ginny exclaimed. "I mean come on! It's more than obvious that you had nothing to do with this! What do you think Harry? Harry?"
Harry looked up hearing his name since he was still in thought.
"I'm thinking..." said Harry slowly. "I'm thinking that now that the Ministry thinks they know who the traitor is...they're gonna let their guard down".
"What do you mean?" Ginny asked confused.
"Think about it...everybody thinks Hermione is the traitor, so no one is looking for the real traitor, which gives him the opportunity to do whatever he wants in the Ministry; and the worst he can do is to provide the Death Eaters with more spells from the book or even steal the book".
"Oh, my God", Hermione murmured. They all fell silent once again but after a few moments Ron spoke.
"So we steal the book first", he said and the rest of them turned to look at him.
"What?" Ginny laughed.
"Actually that's exactly what I had in mind", Harry admitted.
"To steal the book?" Hermione repeated looking from her husband to her best friend and then back again. "Are you both out of your freaking minds?"
"It's the only way we can make sure it's safe", Ron shrugged.
"And that the Death Eaters won't get it and bring Voldemort back", Harry added.
"How are we gonna do that?" Hermione demanded.
"Oh, come on Hermione!" Ron chuckled. "We have broken into the Ministry again!"
"Yeah and you ended up bleeding because you couldn't apparate right, remember?"
"I know how to apparate now, thank you very much!" Ron protested.
"Anyway, the thing is that we're gonna have to do it. We have no choice", Harry intervened.
"How are we gonna do it? When?" Ginny asked her husband but he shook his head.
"No, Gin, you're not gonna do anything! You're pregnant!"
"Yeah, I know", she said narrowing her eyes. "Do you know that I'm pregnant and not terminal?"
"You're staying at the party", said Harry emphasizing in every word as he widened his eyes as well. Ginny grunted angrily and crossed her hands in front of her chest, avoiding Harry's stare susceptibly.
"So you think we should do it during the party?" Ron asked.
"During the party? Hello! I can't go to the party!" Hermione reminded them.
"Yeah, I know, but that doesn't mean that you and Ron can't make an out of the blue appearance!" Harry laughed but Hermione frowned.
"And steal the book? Then everybody is gonna think I'm the traitor!"
"Okay you're right", Harry nodded.
"I am?" Hermione asked taken aback that her friend had given up so easily.
"Yeah..." he said ironically. "Of course then the book will end up to the Death Eaters and Voldemort will be back and we'll all probably die but...hey! People won't think you're a traitor anymore!"
"Ha ha", Hermione sarcastically. "We laughed our guts out again!"
"Can you please be serious about this?" Ginny exclaimed irritated.
"Can you please be serious about our baby?" Ginny rolled her eyes and Harry smiled. "So is eveybody on board?"
"Yep" nodded Ron. Hermione sighed and give up.
"I guess", she shrugged.
"Okay, then...it's settled", Harry nodded.
"Wait...what about the kids?" Ginny asked.
"They'll be fine; they'll be at the party", Ron reassured her.
"So it's on?" Hermione asked. "We're stealing the book?"
"Yeah, I guess we are", Harry shrugged.

25 of July 10:32

Harry knocked on Matthias' door and walked in. His supervisor was going through some papers sitting behind his desk as usual.
"Hey, Matthias", Harry greeted him.
"Hey" then man responded without lookin up. Then Harry sat in a chair and after giving a short inspection at Matthias, opened his mouth to talk, but the old man beat him to it, looking up. "Don't ask me how I'm holding up too, Harry, I'd appreciate it. I've gotten six of those already today".
"Well...people are just interest in..."
"People are just curious", Matthias stopped him. "What's up?"
"What's...oh, yeah, right...um...listen...I noticed that you placed a lot of safeguards in the building for the night the party will happen..."
"Yeah, what's the problem?"
"Nothing", Harry replied hastily. "I was just...you know...wondering why...?"
"Well, most people think that on the rare times there's a party in the Ministry the security will be loose...so I'm guessing, that will be what the Death Eaters would think and they might come and get the book".
"Right...", said Harry. "Fine...that's all I wanted", he got up and walked to the door.
"Wait", Matthias stopped him.
"What?"
"The Minster asked me to tell him who I want my successor to be and I want you to know that I suggested you".
Harry's mouth fell open from the surprise. He couldn't lie to himself; he had thought that it would probably be him, still though it was kind of a shock.
"Wow...I don't know what I should say...thanks Matthias", he managed to say. The old man nodded and focused on his paperwork again. Harry left his office trying not to think that in five days he would betray that man, even if it was for the best.

"Hey Roxanne", Ginny smiled as her niece arrived through the fireplace. "What are you doing here?"
"Um...I hope you don't mind Aunt Ginny...I came to see James...I know I should have sent a letter or something beforehand but..."
"Oh, no, no, don't be silly. It's great that you came to visit. James is upstairs in his room", said Ginny jerking towards the stairs.
"Thanks Aunt Gin", the girl smiled.
"Are you gonna stay for lunch?"
"Sure, why not?" Roxanne nodded and walked upstairs. She walked in James' room without knocking and found him lying on his bed with his new guitar in his hug starring at the ceiling. "Hey, what are you doing?"
"Hey, Rox", he nodded, turning to look at her. "Don't you know you're supposed to knock before entering somebody else's room.
"I forgot", she replied. "Why are you in your room anyway? Why aren't you practising with the guys from the band for the big party?"
James moaned.
"Great Rox! I had actually managed to spend two whole minutes without thinking about that but you had to go and bring it up!" said James exasperated sitting up and leaving his guitar by his side.
"Okay, what's going on?" Roxanne asked confused. "Is the great James Potter anxious about a little concert?"
"I'm gonna ignore the irony in your voice", said the boy, "and I'm gonna inform you that I'm not anxious".
"Then?"
"I just...I can't do it Rox".
"Do what?"
"The concert, duh! I can't do it!" James admitted.
"Oh, dear God! And here I thought you could anything!" Roxanne laughed.
"Rox, I'm serious! The band is out there practising without me at the moment".
"Wait...for real? Why? What's going on? I thought you loved performing!"
"I do...I did...I...it's just that...that...I don't know what it is", James mumbled closing his eyes and shaking his head at the end of the sentence.
"Well, that's enlightening!" Roxanne chuckled.
"Rox!"
"Okay, okay", the girl hurried to say. "Well, James I don't think it's anything important...I mean, come on, you're talented, we both know that! Yeah, the band may be practicing without you right now but this practice is gonna suck and I can put that in writing if you want me to"
"How do you know that the practice is gonna suck?"
"Because you won't be there", Roxanne pointed out. "I mean...you're the soul of this band and the rest of the band knows that and so do I and so should you".
"But...but..." James struggled to find something to contradict her but he couldn't.
"But what?"
"I...I...I can't play when my hands are like that!" he said finally finding an arguement and showing her his wounds on his wrists. She looked away but stayed on the subject.
"So? You'll just fold some bandages around your wounds", the girl shrugged. "James, you deserve that! It's gonna be perfect, you'll see!"
James just sighed and nodded. He didn't know what else to tel her to make her feel how he did or to explain to her why he couldn't do it. Why he was certain that he would froze up when he stepped on the stage. But he had to do it, because he promised his dad and now Roxanne, but more importantly because the rest of the band was really thrilled with the opportunity and he owed it to them. But truth be told if he had a choice he wouldnt want to do it.

Mmkay, i'm sensing a bit of a National Treasure moment here...of course, that might not be what you're going for, considering its an American movie, and you live in Greece...but in that movie, they steal the Declaration of Independence so that the bad guys cant get it. Lol its a good movie.

ANYWAY! It was a great chapter! I loved ittt! it makes me want to know whats going to happen! so PAMS!
