HA! HA! In your face Hermy! CANDI WON!

*stops form yelling in excitement and fixes myself. Clears throat*

But its horrible enough that Hermione was dumped. But it partly her fault that she became jealouse and started attacking poor Candi... so... proof there that she kind had a right to be dumped.

Ron and Harry walked to the Common Room in silence, Candi hovering between them.

"Grackles." Harry said grimly. The Fat Lady swung open, and the three of them entered. Harry put her on the couch and sat in one of the chairs, facing the fire. Ron sat down next to him tentatively.

"Sorry about 'Mione, mate."

"Doesn't matter. I don't think it was meant to be anyway. Ron, I think you should go to her." Harry said, looking into the flames. They made strange shadows on the walls, like dancing spirits.

"What, me? She doesn't want to see me. Besides, I don't know....where....she...STOP IT!" Harry had pulled out the Marauders Map.

"No excuse mate. Now...she's in the Astronomy Tower. Get up there, and good luck." Harry put it away and grinned at Ron's look.

"I hate you Harry."

"You'll thank me someday mate." Harry replied evenly, and Ron climbed out of the Common Room. Next to him, Candi was stirring. The curse was lifting!

"Ohhhh....what....ermione.....HARRY!" She sat straight up, almost falling off the couch.

"Shh! Candi, I'm here!" Harry grabbed her hand.

"Harry! I'm so sorry! I tried to stay out of her way, but she...and it...you're holding my hand." She looked at her hand, then at Harry.

"I know. I like it, do you?"

"You won't like it when Hermione comes in and attacks me." Candi tried pulling her hand out, but Harry held firm. "Why are you doing this?"

"Because...I broke up with Hermione, and I'm in love with you." Harry said, not looking away from her eyes.

"Why did you break up with her?" Candi whispered.

"Because I'll not stand aside while she hurts the people I love. She was out of line, and I don't want to deal with her when she's like that again."

"I understand." Candi gripped his hand tighter. "And I love you too."

They leaned foward for their first kiss. Candi gripped the back of Harry's head lightly and played with the dark hair. Harry's hands gripped her shoulders. They broke apart, and hugged.

Before Ron opened the door, he had to get a grip on himself.

"C'mon Ron...you can do this...she's a good friend." He opened the door.

Hermione was sitting on the window, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"W-what d-do you want?" She sniffled. Ron came over and sat next to her.

"I came to see if you were alright."

"I'm not alright, as you can see, and you can tell Harry that." She turned away from him.

"I don't want to talk to Harry, I want to talk to you." Ron said softly, and put his arm around her. She stiffened.

"Don't."

"Why not? I want to." Ron said, and held her firmly. Hermione relented.

"Ron?"

"Hm?"

"I'm sorry I was such a bad girlfriend."

"It was me. I didn't trust you enough. Forgive me?"

"Of course." Hermione turned to face him and kissed him softly.

"What are your plans for after school?" The four friends were sitting in a circle by the Lake. Exams had just finished, and they were taking a well deserved rest. The question was brought up by Hermione, who was getting nervous about the real world.

"Oh, you know, settling down in a steady career, possibly getting married, the usual stuff. What about you?" Ron asked.

"I don't know....probably find out more about my parents lineage....possibly go into their careers." Candi said quietly. Harry looked at her.

"Archeology? They don't offer it at Hogwarts..."

"So that means I'll be leaving this school. And going to a muggle school. So I can continue my education." Candi murmered.

"You're.....going to leave Hogwarts?" Ron asked. Candi nodded. "But...." His voice trailed off. They couldn't think of Hogwarts without Candi, now that they were friends.

"Ron, I feel like I have to. That I should. I think it's the one thing my dad would have been proud about me."

They were all silent for a few minutes. Leave Hogwarts, the whole Wizarding world...what a horrific thought!

"I plan on opening my own wizarding shop for bookworms, like me." Hermione broke the silence. "I'm going to travel all over the world, collecting rare and valuable books, and auction them offf, then give half the money to charities."

"Nice idea. But I just plan on seeing the world. I could do that with you...if you'd want me to." Ron said to Hermione. She smiled.

"We'll see what happens big boy. What about you Harry?"

"I'm going to teach at Hogwarts someday. I'm going to apply for a job here when I'm old enough." He said, looking at the school. "Hogwarts is...my home."

"What would you teach?" Candi asked, taking his hand.

"Defense Against the Dark Arts, what else is there?" They all burst out laughing.

"But we'll still be friends, right?" Hermione asked suddenly. "I mean, we'll keep in touch?"

"I will. I mean, I'll try. What about you two?" Candi asked Harry and Ron.

"I'm hoping on keeping close touch with you Candi." Harry put his arm around her. She blushed slightly, but you could see it was there.

"And I with you Hermione. I'm not afraid to say that I love you." Ron held Hermione's hand and kissed her cheek. Hermione smiled and squeazed his hand tightly.

"Then it's settled. We'll all keep in touch." Candi said. The four friends held out their hands, and shook on it.

Whew! Yea, it was a short story, but it was worth it, right? Thanks for all who helped the characters along on their way!
