Chapter 27
Harry walked into the Great Hall a little happier than he had been when he had entered it for breakfast. He saw Ron and Hermione sitting at the Gryffindor table, not talking to each other. Harry sat down next to Ron and in front of Hermione.
“You alright?” Hermione asked right away. Next to him, Ron rolled his eyes.
“Yeah. I’m fine.” Harry replied.
“I don’t like Professor Kahne much.” Hermione said.
“Why?” Harry asked.
“Because he went to far with you today. He was like in your mind for fifteen minutes.”
“He’s ok. Really.” Harry said. Ron and Hermione stared at him.
“He is actually teaching me how to do occlumency right.” Harry explained.
“By staying in your head longer than everybody else?” Hermione said.
“He was testing me. He wanted to see if I could still fight him off. When he held me back right now, he gave me advice on how to do it better and it worked. I shut him completely from my mind.”
Hermione still looked skeptical about it but didn’t say anything else. She instead turned to Ron. “Ron are you ok? You have been really quiet all morning.”
“Like you care.” Ron mumbled under his breath.
“What?” Hermione said not hearing him properly.
“”Nothing. I have homework to do. Come on Harry.” Ron said and stood up. Harry followed suit and got up.
“Homework? For what class?” Hermione asked confused.
“One you don’t have.” Ron replied back.
“But we have all the same classes!”

The next couple of weeks, Ron completely ignored Hermione. Harry wasn’t ignoring Hermione intentionally, but he had a lot on his mind. Hermione was hurt and confused at why her two best friends weren’t talking to her. She started taking refuge in the library. Ron didn’t speak of the letter, so Harry didn’t bother mention it either. Whenever they walked through the halls and happened to pass by Malfoy and Ginny, Harry could feel his hand itching for his wand. Luckily, Ron was always there to distract him away from the horrid sight.
Slowly the weather began to grow cold. Ron was still not talking to Hermione. One day Harry and Ron walked into the common room, after dinner, and found Hermione sitting by herself in an armchair by the fire. She looked up when they entered and stood. Ron made some excuse about doing something in his dormitory and disappeared up the staircase. Harry was about to follow him, but something in Hermione’s sad look made him stay. He walked over to her and sat down on the couch.
“Why is he acting like this?” she asked quietly.
Harry didn’t say anything but shrugged. She sanked down onto the couch next to him and leaned against the side of the arm.
“I don’t know what I did to make him so mad at me.” She said. She looked like a lost puppy. Her tail between her legs and her ears drooped to the floor. At any moment, a tear was threatening to fall down.
Harry didn’t know what to say to her. He knew why Ron was so mad, but he couldn’t tell her. That would require telling her that they had read her letter and Harry wasn’t about to tell her they read it. Even though Harry had sided with Ron, he was starting to feel sorry for her. He hated to see girls cry; it was probably one of the reasons why Hermione was holding in her tears. Grateful that she wasn’t using him as a shoulder to cry on, he said to her, “I’ll talk to him.”
Hermione turned her head to him and gave him a sad smile. “Thank you. But can you tell him something for me?” she asked.
“Sure. What is it?” Harry said getting up from the couch.
“Can you tell him sorry for me? I don’t know what I did, but can you still just tell him that?” she asked, despair in her eyes.
Harry looked down at the fragile Hermione. If he hadn’t read the letter himself, he would of thought she had real feeling for Ron. “Yeah I’ll tell him.” He told her and she gave him an appreciative look.

“Hey Ron,” Harry said slowly. They were sitting outside by the lake, next to the tree that was closest to its glimmering water. The sun was hiding behind gray clouds and it was slightly windy. Winter was coming up on them.
“Yeah?” Ron asked in a light mood.
“Maybe you should…just let the letter go. And make up with Hermione.” Harry finally confessed.
“Why should I?” Ron said, his mood changing quick as lightning.
“Well for one thing, she doesn’t even know why you are mad at her.”
“You told me not to tell her.”
“Yeah I know. But she misses hanging out with you. I kind of miss her too.” Harry said cautiously.
Ron said nothing but stared at the lake. There was a small rippling from the wind. It made the lake shimmer and sparkle.
“But if she doesn’t know why I am mad at her, why is she apologizing?” Ron asked.
“Because she is your best friend.” Harry said and got up. He decided he would go and find Hermione. He hoped Ron had at least listened to half of the things he said.
Harry found Hermione in the library. He walked over and sat down next to her. “Hey.” He said.
“Hi.” She replied slowly.
“I told Ron what you said.”
“What did her say?” Hermione asked looking up from her book.
“He didn’t say much.” Harry answered her. She sighed and looked back down at her book. Harry decided to catch up on some homework, so he pulled out his Transfiguration book.
After about twenty minutes, they were interrupted by the sound of somebody clearing their throat. Harry looked up and saw Ron standing awkwardly, in front of them on the other side of the table. Harry smiled to himself, glad the he had gotten through to him.
“Can I sit with you guys?” Ron asked timidly.
“Sure.” Hermione said, a smile escaping from her lips. Ron sat down and pulled out his Potions book. He opened it to a page with a half written piece of parchment stuffed inside.
“I haven’t finished my essay yet.” He moaned, back to his usually self. “I don’t even know what “pocono” is.”
“Do you want me to help you?” Hermione asked.
“Ok, thanks.” Ron smiled at her.
So Hermione pulled his essay toward her and began crossing things out, replacing them with the corrections. Harry went back to his own essay. He was happy they were friends again. It didn’t feel right when they were separate from each other. They were also grumpy apart.
As day grew into night, the three of them walked back to the common room laughing merrily with each other. Harry hadn’t smiled so much in a long time. Ron and Hermione talked to one another like nothing had happened between them. But Harry should’ve known his little dose of happiness wouldn’t last for long. As they walked around the corner that led to the Gryffindor common room, he saw Ginny and Malfoy walking ahead of them. They were holding hands and looked content with each other. The smile disappeared from Harry’s face and the laughter between the three of them ceased. The two of them turned the corner and deceased from view.
“So, lets go inside.” Hermione said and walked up to the portrait of the fat lady.
“Jelly slugs.” Ron said, saying the new password. She swung open and admitted them in. They walked in and sat in the usual armchairs. Harry only half listened to the rest of the conversation. The other half was all on Ginny.

Yay Hermione and ron made up lets just hope they dont get into another fight then ron yell about the letter and Then Draco and Harry get in a fight because they both want Ginny.Unless Ginny and Draco planned this and then Draco decides his job is done and then Harry understands and gets back with her and i really need to stop typing.Good post.PAMS

Chapter 28
The days quickly became weeks and the weeks became months. Soon it was turning into Christmas vacation and Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny were all climbing onto the purple triple-decker bus. Hermione was going to spend some time with her parents before she would come to the Burrow. She told Ron to tell Bill she promises she will make it to the wedding. When they got to the Burrow, the kitchen was crammed with people.
Bill, Fleur, Madam Delacour, Monsieur Delacour, Mrs. Weasley and Charlie were all sitting at the kitchen table. The women were talking details about the wedding. The men were talking merrily with one another. Mr. Weasley and Mad Eye Moody were chatting in the corner with each other. Remus and Tonks were talking to both sets of people.
“Hello you three. Go put your things upstairs and I’ll start dinner.” Mrs. Weasley said cheerfully. They did as they were told and went upstairs, their trunks following behind them.
While they passed Percy’s old room, the door popped open and a tall stunning girl walked out. She had her long white blond hair in a bunch of stringy curls. It slicked down her back and she gave off a warm glow.
“ Ello my name ez Patricia. I ez Fleur’s cuzin.” She said gracefully.
“Um, I’m Harry and this is Ron. He’s one of Bill’s brother.” Harry said when Ron just stood there.
“Oh, your Bill’s little brother. He ‘as talked very ‘ighly of you.” She smiled. She then started down the stairs. Harry and Ron continued up the many stairs to Ron’s room.
“She’s part veela.” Ron said as they went through his door way.
“You think?” Harry chuckled. They set their things down and went back downstairs.
When they got back into the kitchen Remus and Tonks had an announcement to make.
“I’m pregnant!” Tonks squealed with delight. Everybody applauded and Mrs. Weasley hugged her. Harry smiled at Remus and patted him on the back.
“Congrats.”
“Thank you Harry.” Remus smiled and hugged the mother to be tightly. After Remus and Tonks hugged everybody and they all were able to congratulate them, Tonks and Remus said goodnight and left.
Everybody was set around the table talking to somebody. Ginny was sitting at the table chatting with Bill. Fleur was speaking half French/ half English to her mother. Fleur’s little sister, Gabrielle, had popped in out of nowhere and was giggling with Patricia. Harry took a seat next to Charlie, who was looking way better than the last time he has seen him. Charlie turned and smiled at him.
“Hi Harry. How’s school?” Charlie beamed.
“Its pretty good. We actually have a decent Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.” Harry replied.
“He still gives me headaches.” Ron complained, next to Harry.
“Why?” Charlie asked.
“We’re learning Occlumency.” Harry chuckled.
“Oh.” Charlie laughed too.
Mrs. Weasley made a scrumptious dinner. It contained juicy steak (Bill’s was raw) and potatoes of every kind. While they ate, they exchanged stories about their last few months. Everybody was either laughing or eating the delicious food.
When Gabrielle’s head was found lying in her arms sound asleep, Mrs. Weasley decided it was time for bed. Bill took the sleeping girl into his arms and started toward her bed. Harry and Ron got up from their chairs and started for their own beds, with full, happy stomachs. Sorry its kinda short the next couple of chapters are going to get pretty long so I was just getting ready for it

Lol, well, I'm always trying out new things (even though I only have two ff- so far! lol), My fav ship is G/D. But it usually depends how they fall in love... I'm very picky when enemies straight fall in love... Ok, I know I'm not making any sense! 
Well, anyways, I loved the last chapter! But I don't think it's a good idea that's Patrica is staying over at the Burrow.  Oh, boy if Hermione ever finds out... :hack:
