Hero

You're a hero to me
You're not so ugly
Not so beautiful either
But I don't care about neither
Because you're my hero
You didn't start as a zero
You were always there
You let me know that you care
You weren't in shining armor, oh well
You're better than that, on you I can dwell
You saved me from myself and others
All those other pretty girls, to you they were bothers
I love you so much, my knight
You love me too, you're mine without a fight
My hero.

Sorry, this one was pretty bad, I'm in a room full of noise right now, and it's pretty hard to think about how to rhyme. My next poem probably won't rhyme, then.

In my Eyes

It's in the eyes of the beholder
To understand what they see
To see themselves
In a different light
Than anyone else
It's different up close
Than from another
No one can explain it
Sadly, neither can I
Others laugh in bubbles
When I speak my mind
Once those words escape my mouth
The painful blood dribbles down
But they laugh
I want to think they don't want to expose themselves
By joining me
But I'm the coward

I'm the coward.
I can't understand bravery
What is it to each person?
All in the eyes of the beholder.
Bravery could be accepting one's self
I can't cross the finish line on that one

And now I watch through glass tears
The bright world of others
To me it is all painted black and white
Now the tears fall to the ground and shatter
All of my remains.

Little Girl

I take the little girl's hand
And she weeps
Oh, how I can't tolerate it
I reach down, and yell with all my might
But she can't hear me
So I take her frail little body and shake it
She can't feel it
I want to reach down and hit her
But I can't
She's impossible to reach
I look her in the eyes carefully
Her brown-toffee eyes
And I see my eyes in the reflection
My brown-toffee eyes
I look into her soul
But all I see is me
I scream, I writhe in pain
But the little girl keeps skipping
Laughing merrily
Not paying attention to my sorrow
I try to get her to look at me
She doesn't know what her future lies ahead
No one with her does
Except for me
The little girl
Is my past.

Seek

What am I seeking
For my happiness
It's hard to explain
Nothing will fulfill it
I'll stay empty forever
Dreading every moment
No life in my heart

I know the feeling, i always feel so depressed. so sad...and confused

HarryPotterManiac03 08-24-2003 08:06 PM

Yeah.. It's hard.. It's good I can explain myself in poems.

Football Game

Go, go, team, go!
They cheer
We are your foe!
It's like they say
The fans erupt in clapping
The drumming in my ears gets loud
It's horrible to listen to, like rapping
And I want to boo, but it's not aloud
I sit and look around in the stands
And everyone is watching them
Then I look on the field and see the bands
Walking around in glory, while I'm at the hem
These are the times when its a popular event
And I'm sitting there, feeling alone
My heart sinking and feeling bent
For now, my popularity, I will postpone.

Nice. You describe how it feels like to look out at the world in your perspective. I can totally understand what you're saying. I hope you keep writing, cause you're really good.

Witch's Silence

The witch's robes flutter through the night
She laughs wickedly to the hoarse whispering of the wind
Grasping her faithful necklace she mutters
A spell that darkens the night
An eagle that was about to soar
Falls dead to the ground
The witch's lips curve up
But she stays silent
A horror is shown
Trees moan and groan
The grass falls to its roots
All watching the one powerful
The one devising all of this
She nods
The cemetary brings her back in
The story is done.
