I stopped writing my FF for a specific reason. After I read an interview of Jo, that reason stopped me. I still read them, but I've stopped writing. It was painful to. All I had to do was wait for the mod to remove the FF from the whole lot of list. I'm sorry, Shirel. I really am.

I would ask what you thought about the seventh book but I don't want to spoile it for anyone. I finished it exactly a week after it came out. I would of finished it a day or so after but I was dreading the ending! lol!

Ok, so I feel really bad not being able to post lately. I think I should write the chapters down before typing it because then it takes me like 5 hours!!

I know this chapter is really short but I love leaving you guys cliffies! hehe
*hits herself on the head with a frying pan* *faints* *wakes up an hour later and posts this chapter!!*

Chapter 19: ~ Gone?!? ~

Draco walked back to the Slytherin common room with a heavy heart, thoughts of that night all swirling in his head that made him feel like he was jumping on the clouds.

Fifteen minutes later he was laying in his four poster thinking sadley about Mia. It was a mystery how she got attacked. Whether it was somone who attacked her with a spell without her knowing or it was just a sudden pain in her body. No, he thought, couldent've been. It was probably a Death Eater or even, even Voldemort himself. He shuddered at the thought and tried to push the matter out of his mind.

He layed in bed for what seemed like hours and started blaming himself for what happened to Mia. If only he hadn't left her alone none of this would have happened. He found many more reasons to blame himself untill he finally fell into a deep sleep full of nightmares. He was at court being sued for leaving Mia alone, he was sentenced for a life in azkaban. He tried to fight of the dementors but they were draining all happiness out of him that he no longer cared whether he would see her again. All the good times they had spent together were lost in his nightmares.

Morning finally came and Draco woke up and realized he was on the floor. "That's weird," he thought, "I don't remember falling out of bed." This was highly unusual for him since he usually never moved in his sleep but then yesterdays event came swirling into his head as if someone had switched on a lightbulb.

He quickly got dressed and decided to go visit Mia before breakfest. When he went down to the common room he found it deserted then he remembered that it was Sunday and just yesterday he was laughing in Hogmade with Crabbe Goyle and Pansy Parkinson. It felt like weeks, even moths ago.

When he opened the doors to the Hospital winge, he looked all the way at the end where Mia was and saw that her bed was now covered with courtains to give her some privacy and so people won't draw attention to her.

He walked all the way down the ward, pulled back the courtains and gave a loud yell. The bed which Mia lay on only hours before was empty and to make matters even worse, the bed was covered in blood.

Hellywhoo everyone!! I'm really, really sorry that I wasn't here for so long. I missed everyone here sooooo much! I want to thank everyone here for your comments, I don't know what I would do without them! Without further ado I give you:

Chapter 20(!!): ~No more hope left~

Draco franticly searched around for Mia. He looked under every single bed that was around. He opened closets and wardrobes, searched behind curtains, and even look in the bathrooms but when he didn't find Mia he started panicking. He was about to go get Madam Pomfrey when he saw a trail of blood on the floor of her bed leading towards the window. "Oh no!" he said, "this is really bad," his voice became hoarse. He looked out of the window and saw more blood on the ground of the castle. He sprinted out of the ward, down the moving staircase and out onto the grounds to the place where he saw the blood.

He looked around for the trail of blood but saw nothing, not one red dot was visible. But Draco did not give up; he wanted to keep looking until he found her. He looked near the lake, Hagrids hut, the broom shed, the Quidditch pitch, the vegetable patch and even the dark forest.

The sun was slowly setting and Draco sweaty, tired and covered in dirt was forced to believe that she was gone. "Gone from the world or just gone?" he asked himself. He slowly opened the castle doors without realizing that he had just bumped into Professor McGonagall.

"Oh, Mr. Malfoy," she said while straitening up, "do watch where you're going will you? I'm quite in a hurry at the moment." She started walking down the steps when she turned around to Draco. "I think you should know something," she said hoarsely. Draco turned around and faced her, "I know Professor, she's g-g-gone," his voice cracked.

"We found her bed empty this morning; it was covered in b-blood. Do you know anything about this Mr. Malfoy?" she asked. Draco shook his head and muttered the word "no".

"I see," said Professor McGonagall, "just so you know, we are doing all we can to find her but, I think you should prepare yourself for the worst." She put her hand on Draco's shoulder and left.

Draco made his way towards the Great Hall preparing himself for a nice meal as he had not eaten anything since the other night. The second he walked in all became quiet. He could feel everyone’s eyes upon him. He decided to ignore all the staring and whispering and walked over to the Slytherin table sliding next to Crabbe and Goyle.

His two best friends gave him questioning looks but shrugged when they saw Draco ignoring them, and they continued stuffing there mouths with food.

Draco ate silently and realized that the spot where Mia usually sat at the Slytherin table was now occupied by a large fifth year boy who was flirting with Mia's friend, Ashley, who was crying and pushing him away. "At least I’m not the only one who misses her," he thought.

He looked over at the staff table and sow all the teachers huddled together whispering fast. Then he saw Professor McGonagall entering the Great Hall and watched as she walked towards the front of the hall and called for silence.

"Good evening to you all. I have a couple of important notices to announce. Firstly, I am sure that most of you know about the disappearance of Mia Shaler and the death of Harry Potter. Those of you who don't know, Miss Shaler was put in the hospital wing late last night and has disappeared this morning. There were trails of blood near her bed towards the window. I am telling you all this because if you know anything about this please notify me at once. I think it is right to tell you that Harry Potter died as a hero; He was a loyal friend and mostly had a very tough life. His parents were killed when he was no more than one year old. Since then he has lived with his only living relatives, his aunt and uncle. In his first year at Hogwarts he met face to face with you-know-who after eleven years. In his second year he met with a memory of you-know-who's when he was still at school. And in his fourth year and fifth year, he met him once again, when he returned to power and at the Ministry of Magic. Now, in his last year, he should of been sitting over at the Gryffindor table eating with us but, yesterday him and Mia Shaler, who has been imperiused have been kidnapped and brought straight to you-know-who. He managed to kill Harry Potter after many frail attempts. I think we should all remember what a good heart he had; he had saved many of people’s lives while putting himself in danger. I am sure you could all learn a lesson from him," she paused and wiped her tears with a handkerchief, "Now, I would like to remind you that the ball is getting nearer," she managed a slight smile, "I am sure that Harry Potter and Mia Shaler would not have wanted us to be sad, they would have wanted to know that the ball at least, is still going in. There's always room for some happiness." She paused again and wiped her face for the second time, "the upcoming ball will be in one week from now in this hall, the Great Hall, at eight o’clock. Good night." Professor McGonagall turned walked over to the staff table to Professor Sprout who comforted her. Minutes later everyone rose from they're seats and silently walked out of the hall.

Draco walked out by himself wiping the tears that fell from his face during Professor McGonagall's speech. He finally took in that he would not be able to ask Mia to the ball. All this time he was struggling to find the courage to ask her to the ball but now it was to late and he blamed it on himself.

Chapter 21: ~Tears of an Indian~


By the next morning Draco had made up his mind. He quickly got dressed and headed off to the Great Hall for some breakfast. He poured some pumpkin juice into his cup and laded his plate with some bacon and toast. The next thing he knew, he was pouring over his Transfiguration book and doing his homework. When it was time for his first class-Transfiguration- he stuffed his book, parchment, ink and quill in his bag and walked quickly to catch up with Ashley.

"Hi," he said. She turned around then managed a small smile.

"Hi," she said sadly, "how've you been since- s-since t-the-" she burst into tears. "I-I'm s-s-sorry D-Draco," she said through sobs, "I'm j-just so u-upset!" she cried.

"Come here," said Draco. He hugged Ashley and tried to calm her down. Together they walked slowly towards the Transfiguration classroom. When Draco opened the door, everyone turned around and looked curiously at Draco and Ashley who was red and still had some tears on her face.

Professor McGonagall’s stern face appeared in front of them and motioned them to follow her out of the classroom. "Continue with your work please, I'm just going out for a second," she said before closing the door. She turned to Draco and Ashley.

"I want you to know," she said, "I am very proud with the way you have been coping. I know it is not very easy to lose a good friend,"-Ashley gave another sob-"and I want you to know we are doing all we can to at least find her body. If you wish to talk to me or your head of the house, you may do so." She gave them a reassuring smile before opening the classroom door and going inside.

Draco took his handkerchief and wiped Ashley’s beautiful Indian face. "Come," he took her hand and led her in the classroom to an empty desk. They sat together for the rest of the lesson.

Continuation of chapter 21: ~Tears Of An Indian!~

After class Draco and Ashley decided to go to the lake. They walked together and sat under a tree near the lake. They just sat there in silent, each absorbed in their own thoughts.

"Did you love her?" asked Ashley suddenly.

"wh- what?" asked Draco surprised.

"Did you love her, I mean Mia?" Draco looked away and stared over the lake, his brows furrowed.

"Yes," he finally said.

"Do you want to talk about it?" she asked. Draco looked at her for a moment then turned back to staring at the lake.

"Well, when we first met, I thought she was really pretty. I mean, the second I saw her I had this huge feeling to hug her, to kiss her..." he stopped talking suddenly, thinking he had said too much, things that only boys would understand. But when he looked at her she gave her a look that meant keep-talking. "I saw her with Potter one day and I got really jealous and mad, so I wanted to show her what a good guy I can be. Well better than Potter anyway. So I took her down to the lake one morning and well let's just say I got a little carried away and it all went wrong. She started telling me about her first boyfriend, he died, that he was so special and-and I-I-yelled at her," he buried his face in his hands and let the tears fall from his eyes, "It was all my fault, I took things to fast...I wasn't patient..."

They sat in silence for a couple of minutes until Ashley spoke, "Draco, your blaming you’re self for her death. It's not-"

"It is my fault, Ashley!" he screamed, "If I hadn't left her for a second by herself in Hogs made, none of this would have happened and she'd still be alive!" Draco immediately regretted his bad temper as soon as he saw Ashley get up and start walking back towards the castle. Draco got up and ran to catch up with her.

"No, Wait-" he started.

"I was just trying to help!" she shot at him.

"I know, I just sort of lost control, I'm sorry Ashley, could you forgive me?" She stopped walking and turned around to face him. He saw that she had tears running down her cheeks again.

"I- I know what you're going through," she started looking deep into his gray eyes, "It’s just so hard to realize that I’m never going to see her again. I'm never going to have to wake her up in the morning or- or hang out together. Nothing will ever be the same with out her!" she sobbed.

"I know," said Draco hugging her.
