Hehe nice introduction there to the staff. Keep going! :) |
Thanks a million times, everyone!!!! glad you liked the story!!! Keep reading, replying and rating!!!!! Here's the next chapter!!! |
Albus woke up very early in the morning. He couldn’t recall where he was at first, but everything came back to him in a flash. He had spent the night at Hogwarts, how could he forget! He was here, and today was his first day of studying at Hogwarts. He leapt to his feet, but then realized that it was early. He could see the others still sleeping soundly. All but one; Scorpius Malfoy lay awake in his four-poster, staring up at the ceiling. `Good morning, Scorpius. Did you sleep well?’ Albus asked kindly. Scorpius jumped at the sound of his voice. He sat up in bed. ` Oh, good morning -- er—Albus.’ He was quite surprised by the tone of Albus’s voice. Wasn’t he supposed to despise him as well, just like Harry Potter had despised his father! He had been rehearsing what all to tell Albus if he sneered at him, but he wasn’t sneering! Albus sensed that Scorpius was nervous, so was Albus. He had been warned by his family that Scorpius was sure to make fun of Albus. But Scorpius didn’t seem that kind of a person. Here they were, talking to each other in the Gryffindor common room. The Sorting Hat had chosen Scorpius to be in Gryffindor, he ought to have some great qualities! `Aren’t you excited for today? It is our first day at Hogwarts!’ Albus said, hoping to get a nice reply. `Oh, I sure am. I can’t wait to go to our fist class. I guess we’ll be getting our time tables today,’ Scorpius replied. `Albus said, `I can’t wait to write to my dad at the end of the week! I’m sure he is eager to hear about my first week too!’ He looked at Scorpius, who looked like he was about to burst into tears. `What did I say now?’ Albus muttered under his breath. `Are you all right, Scorpius?’ he asked, trying not to sound nervous. `Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just scared. I don’t know how to tell my father that I’ve been sorted into Gryffindor. He always told me stories about Hogwarts and Slytherin... ’ His voice broke. Albus was shocked. He had almost forgotten about how much his father wanted him to be in Slytherin. `Oh, Scorpius, don’t worry about that. I am sure he wouldn’t say anything rude. Of course he wanted you to be in Slytherin, but Gryffindor is as good!’ Scorpius looked up to meet Albus’ eyes. `He never said he wanted me to be in Slytherin…’ He thought of the times Draco had mentioned the Sorting. He had always said that he hoped Scorpius does well at Hogwarts. `Make sure you perform well for your house, whichever you’re sorted in.’ Scorpius recalled his father’s words. `But I’ve always felt that he wanted me to be in Slytherin’. `Everything is fine, don’t worry!’ Albus said, trying to comfort his new friend. `Good morning, how long have you been awake?’ said a voice from behind Albus. Both of them jumped and turned around. Jacob Evans was up now. `Hey Jake, had a good sleep?’ Scorpius smiled. `Yeah!’ replied Jacob. `Let’s go and get ready for breakfast!’ Albus said, excitedly. |
Aw! Poor Scorpius! I hope Draco understands! It's so good how Albus and Scorpius are friends! They are so nice to each other! Great post! Loved it! Can't wait for more! |
Awww! Poor Scorpius! If Draco doesn't understand, that's just horrible! Glad Albus and Scoripus are getting along though. :D ~Sarah |
awww i hope Scorpious is ok :( Awsome post :D |
amazing post... can't wait for more |
Forget Scorpius! Draco didn't feed in thoughts that Gryffindors are terrible and Slytherins are the best. Unlike SOME people *coughRONandHARRYcough* Therefore, Draco is a better person than Ron or Harry. :) I love my reasoning... |
Yeah dracos.girl, that is a good point. Looks like you didn't like this chapter. I know it has been a long time since the last post, but my exams are nearing. So please don't get angry. Be patient and wait one week between chapters. As for chapter 6, I'll post it tomorrow! Sorry, I really am! |
Aw! That's ok! We understand! I'm not angry and i'm sure your other readers aren't as well! *puts up a tent* We can wait! Kita |
Aww Scorpius! Make Draco an understanding father and I promise to send over some cookies! :D |
Thanks a lot guys for those understanding comments. Sure, Paintbrush, I love Draco but I guess you'll just have to wait till the end to see what happens. Ok heres the next chapter; it's dedicated to all the readers as well as v_hudgens1412 aka Gab. She's my BFF in school and new to SS. Welcome to SS Gab! Whispers followed Albus and Scorpius all along their way to the Gryffindor table. All heads turned to look at them even as they sat down. They could barely eat breakfast that morning. `Got the time tables ‘, said James, stuffing toast into his mouth. `So did us. Looks like we’re going to feel sleepy!’ Albus said with a groan. They had History of Magic first. Jacob muttered, `that ought to be good now!’ `We’ve got double Charms later, so cheer up!’ Scorpius said with a smile. James rolled his eyes. `I don’t think Dad’s going to like your new friend, Al!’ `Scorp is not like his father. He is kind and I understand him perfectly!’ Albus said, defiantly. James opened his mouth to reply, just as Rose and her friend, Vanessa Montez joined them. `Hi Al, James,’ she said nodding at Jacob. Scorpius smiled at her, but she ignored it. Vanessa looked at the time table and cried, `Oh no! History of Magic first thing in the morning.’ Rose seemed as shocked as Vanessa. `I did not make notes, what will Madame Melvyn say!’ she moaned. `Oh, we forgot that you take after Aunt ‘Mione!’ James joked. Vanessa giggled and Rose shot her an angry look. `Vinnie, you’re not supposed to laugh at that!’ she scolded. `Sorry, I didn’t know that I had to do only what you told me to!’ Vanessa retorted. `We’d better get going now; it’s going to take a while to find the classrooms!’ Scorpius said, getting up from his seat. `Yeah, let’s go. See you later everyone,’ Albus followed Scorpius. Scorpius was thinking whether he should tell his father that he had been sorted in Gryffindor. He thought about discussing this with his friend. `Hey Al, should I tell my Dad that I’m in Gryffindor?’ `What do you mean?’ Albus asked puzzled. `I mean, should I tell him that I’m in Slytherin, not Gryffindor? I can lie!’ Scorpius said his voice now lower. Albus stared at his friend. He noticed that Scorpius was not looking at him eye to eye. `Scorp, why do you want to lie to your dad? I know he wouldn’t be mad at you!’ Albus said. `Never mind,’ mumbled Scorpius. They walked back to their common room in silence. It was hard to find their way; what with all those staircases and confusing corridors! |
Aw! Poor Scorpius! I think he should tell Draco otherwise the lies will just build up. Hope Draco understands! Hope he doesn't get mad! Rose takes after Hermione a lot! Ha! I can imagine their confusion! Great post! Loved it! Can't wait for more! Kita |
Aww again! Keep it up! :D |
Love It!!! I know that I am new to post but I just found your story thing today. I love it I got hooked reading it right away. I was hoping someone would continue to write about Rose and Albus after J.K. Rowling stopped. It really made me happy to find this. I hope Draco doesn't get mad if Scorpius ends up telling the truth. |
:O No! I loved the last post, everyone was just commenting about Scorpius and missing that little bit of info :) I loved this post too! PAMS!! |
Hello Tina, nice introduction for your story. I was actually just thinking today of the same story line. I think I will enjoy reading your story instead of starting my own. You are doing a very nice job. |
Draco will understand. Scorpius should just tell him. And if Draco doesn't understand, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind! (Great chapter by the way :D) ~Sarah |
*New Reader* This is great story hun, i love the plot twist and cant wait to read more :) |
Thank you very much everyone!!! All the new readers welcome to the story. I'm glad you're liking it so much. I know everyone wants Scorpius to tell the truth, but sorry. He's gotta lie. It won't be that bad though. I hope you've all voted for the best three entries in the Sorting Hat song contest. All the entries are great, I personally love Entry 2. Can't wait to see who wins. So I'm here with the next chapter. Keep reading, rating and replying. |
Hogwarts was certainly the greatest wizarding school of London, or so thought Scorpius. But he learnt that magic wasn’t simple at all. If he had thought that he could become a wizard by casting a few funny spells and waving his wand, he had got quite a surprise! Also, he found it pretty hard to keep his father happy by telling him that he was in Slytherin. Meanwhile, Albus was having similar thoughts about Hogwarts. He did think that Hogwarts was fun, but learning the names of various stars in the sky, knowing the uses of all kinds of herbs to make potions and writing essays on the world’s greatest wizards from the past, was not his idea of magic. He had fun in Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, as they were mostly practical. Besides this, he had something else on his mind. He was really worried about his best friend, Scorpius. Scorpius was lying about his house to his father, which would put him into more trouble. If only Scorpius realized that. Albus, Scorpius and Jacob were the best of friends at Hogwarts. They always hung out together. Their first week had been extremely busy, yet a lot of fun. They were often invited to tea with Hagrid. His rock cakes seemed to be as hard as they had been when Harry went to school. Everyday at the Gryffindor common room, Rose gave James a lecture on how he should do his homework. Rose did try hard, but did not find many mistakes in Albus’ work. Scorpius was having a hard time trying to convince people of his kind nature. James was acting a lot friendlier, but Rose was hard to please. Albus had written to his mother, telling her about his new best friend, Scorpius Malfoy. He hadn’t yet received a reply from his parents. Albus was thinking about his birthday present for Lily, whose birthday was going to arrive in two weeks. `I’ll get her something from Hogsmeade,’ James told Albus. `It’s easy for you to say, you’re in your third year! What will I get her?’ Albus asked James, shaking his head at his brother’s lack of concern. Scorpius was looking forward to the next day; they were going to have to have their first Quidditch lesson. His father had been a good Quidditch player and Scorpius was hoping to be as good as him. He also remembered that Harry Potter had been a much better Seeker than his father. `Al must be as good as his dad; it’s in his blood! ' He sighed. `Hey Scorp, there’s Fawkes getting a reply, I bet! There’s another owl with him; is that Scram?’ Albus called over to his friend. Scorpius jumped as he heard Albus’s voice. He looked at two owls getting nearer to Hogwarts. Fawkes swooped in through the window and left a letter on the table. Scram did the same and went off again. Albus tore open the envelope, bursting with excitement at what his mother had to say about his being friends with Scorpius Malfoy. Scorpius was nervous; he was dreading what was written in that letter. What if his father caught him lying? What if he sent a howler, not even a letter? His hands shook as he reached out to open the letter. |
oooo i wonder what there parents said, i hope draco doesnt give him too much trouble about it |
