1 Attachment(s) Despite how behind Lorraine felt that she had fallen in her workload, she knew as Department Head, she was not only required to be there but it was expected of her. Knowing the Minister, her job description probably included some fine print about attending all formal affairs. Unfortunately, weddings were not her thing but she was thankful in the very least that it was not her own. Work she could handle, but saying this romantic thing was not her specialty was probably an understatement. Either way, the thirty-seven year old woman had decided the moment she entered those doors, she would put on the facade of being entirely happy for the almost married couple. Wearing an alarmingly well fitted pale purple floor-length dress, Lorraine decided floo would not be the cleanest method to arrive. Apparition it was; and thus a small pop was heard as the 5'5" brunette appeared just a hundred feet from the visitor's entrance. Smiling, which was a feat rarely achieved by the high-strung woman, she walked gracefully towards the security checkpoint, gazing around for any familiar face. She paused only when she reached the security guard, of whom she vaguely recognized as one of the division heads up on level two. "Good evening, sir," she said rather politely. All formalities must be held to the utmost highest standards. "My name is Lorraine Brothmeister and I am the Department Head up on Level 6." ooc: credit to the dress given to Khat =) |

"Yes, the gift shop" Constanza repeated slowly and kindly to the man. He was looking slightly scared, now. The pity she was beginning to feel for him, vanished quickly, however. Giving him her gift? No way. She was not giving him her gift to someone she'd just met. She didn't even know his name! "Um, No, I don't think so, sir" The little smile on her lips had dissappeared but her tone of voice remained prefectly polite, "If I give you my gift, and you turn it in as yours, then what am I supposed to give to the couple?" She cocked an eyebrow at him, "Besides, It took me quite a lot of time to pick the right gift" Suuuure. If you think that ten minutes is a lot of time... |
Casper was vaguely aware of his Head of Department walking past but in his moment of distress couldn't quite manage a 'hello'. He'd been looking forward to attending this wedding ceremony but right now he was scared. And it took quite a lot to frighten Casper. Casper the man who had climbed Mount Everest and hiked in rainforests for Heaven's sake! Pull yourself together man, he ordered himself with a frown. Frown was something he didn't do much. It was hard pulling himself together however, when his comment seemed to tick the woman off. Oops? He hadn't been serious! Well, he'd been half-serious, but hey. She was clearly just one of those fiery types. "I'm sorry ma'am." He said politely, keeping his tone level. "I do believe we've got off on the wrong foot. Casper Golding." He half smiled, offering a hand. |

He smiled his odd smile to each guest passing through, trying to be pleasant. His hands went to the pockets of his black pants. Yes, he had put on all black save his tie. That was purple. Why they couldn't wear their usual uniform to make things easier was beyond him. |

Walking behind her, he put his arms on her shoulders. "Sorry. I know I was suppose to be here a bit earlier but I couldn't." |

She discretely held the gift that she was helding even more tighter, however. "It's alright" Murdoch replied kindly, "I understand that you might've, er, scared a little bit" Heh. She could hardly blame him, really; If she found herself in his position, and being the control freak that she sometimes was, she would've been scared, too. "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Golding" She said with a hint of a smile on her lips, taking his hand to shake, "I'm Constanza Murdoch" |
Elwood shook the woman's hand and returned to his post beside Forrester, smiling, shaking hands, he kept his cool when the Department head passed through, he found a woman in a purple dress he shook her hand, "Hello, I'm Elwood Blues, an Auror, may I please see your wand?" |

Noticing Lorraine apparate next, she waved at her and politely smiled. She had the cutest dress on and knew that no one would stop her for a fashion check. She was just about to go over and talk to her for some company, until Lance came when she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders and heard an all to familiar voice. Turning around she smiled at Lance and added playfully, "Don't you look handsome. I wouldn't think you'd be the one to clean up nicely." Nodding she replied, "It's fine. I got to people watch. You know I always like to do that." |

He just didn't want to get a bad reputation in his new work place. That was pretty much his worst nightmare. "Constanza." He repeated thoughtfully, "Forgive me if I'm wrong.." He did not want to offend this lady again, that was for sure. She may be short but she seemed kinda snappy. "..but isn't that a Spanish name?" It was definately unusal. |

Looking around him to see that he had probably go throught the security check-point but for what reason, he had no clue. He look back at Evaline. "You know me. I'm usually always on time..." Not wanted to mentioned the fact that he was here just because she asked him, he put his wand in his pocket. |

Evaline nodded and picked up her gift, "I know. Lets not dawdle on that fact and go have fun watching our Minister get married." she said and scooped her other arm through his to go into the guest seating area. "I'll have to repay for this too, just like the thing with my department watchman Chad." she added. |
Warren, after noticing that everyone was heading toward the guest sitting area frowned and took out his parchment again. Scrolling another note he walked over to the security table and stuck it on the wall behind it. Quote:

Poking her gently as she did her last comment, he was sure she was expecting a reaction out of this or else she wouldn't have said anything. Letting her pass in front of him so she could lead the way, the article that he saw in the Daily Prophet was still fresh on his mind. Afterall it was done by none other than the bride to be. He wasn't sure if he should talk about this since it was a rather sensitive topic. Deciding to take another subject, he said: "Talking about that Chad boy, did he bother you again ?" |

Lorraine frowned slightly as one of the aurors shook her hand. "Excuse me?!" she muttered, startled by his contact but then he introduced himself. "My wand? Why would you need to see that?" She asked, withdrawing her hand from him, green eyes piercing the man sharply. From the corner of her eye, she caught glimpse of Evaline in an adorable black dress. Oh she looks so cute! She gave a subtle wave back to her, before turning back to the so-called auror and folded her arms crossly. Although using her peripheral vision, she did also happen to note a well-dressed man apparate to Evaline, appearing like an escort. So much for sitting with her... she sighed, hoping she'd see someone else to sit with. |

Feeling him poke her from behind, she lead him him along but turned to give a quick smile and then shook her head. "Nope he hasn't. I think that boyfriend bit did the trick." she replied. She knew though this wasn't the topic he was really thinking about, but she didn't want to pry. But then again she was Evaline and he was Lance so she had to pry anyway. Slowing down a bit, after all she wasn't in that much of a hurry, she whispered too him. "You need to talk about something?" |
Micah quickly used the floo to get to the lovely wedding he heard about. He was looking forward to it for a long time. As he stepped out to see many people, he patted his sleek black robes with a bright white clothing around his waste. He blended into the crowd and quickly noticed his department head. "Hello, Lorraine. How's it going?" |
Reagan entered the area to see a significant number of guests already in line for security checks. Good. It looks like Security and Law Enforcement are doing their jobs. That's one less thing for me to worry about. She passed those waiting in line and stepped around the barrier that had been set up to prevent guests from entering without approval. She assumed everyone would know who she was, but she flashed her badge anyway: Quote:
Technically, the bride didn't have a wedding party per se, but Reagan was responsible for helping Ms. Belle get ready, so she was pretty close to it. She greeted security and encouraged them, "Nice job ladies and gents. You all look dashing in purple and black. Keep up the good work." It was clear Reagan was dressed appropriately in a sparkly purple dress. She'd even lightened her hair a bit for the wedding, but it would certainly be going back to dark when the festivities had ended. She would have to sign the guest book and enter her memories in the pensieve later. Her first priority was helping the bride get ready for the big ceremony! |
Cassandra apparated to the security check in, she knew she was running late, she was working on her own brothers wedding plans and had lost track of time. She walked up to where her boss was standing. "I'm sorry I'm late sir, I promise it won't happen again." |
Shane smiled as she walked out of the fireplace she had just Flooed from. She had forgotten the feeling of traveling by Floo Powder. Oh how she missed it! I will have to get a Floo extention to my house. I just love the way of transportation. She was wearing her usual purple, double silk robe with pointy high heels made of snakeskin and was carrying a nice present for the soon to be married couple that was wrapped in beautiful purple wrapping paper with a black bow on top. She was so glad to hear that only puple and black were aloud to be worn. She had tons of purple clothing to wear! She was even wearing purple earrings that matched perfectly with what she was wearing. Shane walked up to the nearest Security Guard. "Shane Dalton, Department of Magical Law Enforcment, Wizengamont." She smiled proudly and then said, "Such a lovely day for a wedding, isn't it?" Beofre she could get an answer, she waltzed over to the Gift Table - her gift was starting to tire her arms. |
Cambell arrived at the Ministry through floo powder. She was a bit early, but she thought it best incase she was needed. She got out her wand and quickly waved it around her body, cleaning herself of all the soot and ash that covered her. Cambell noticed Reagan just as she was crossing the barrier. She gave a quick wave to her and a smile. She got in the back of the line, waiting to be accpeted so she would sit in for the wedding. Cambell was wearing a very nice purple dress. Her hair was pulled back from her face in a nicely assorted bun. She wasnt used to dressing this way, and most people would never see her in this sort of attire again. When she arrived at the security stand and smiled and introduced herself. "Cambell Anne Robinson, Magical Education Liaison to the Minister of Magic." She said, showing them her title. |

Laughing at the confirmation that the infamous Chad didn't bother her lately, he was happy that her plan did actually work. He was just hopping that it would last long enought so that the man could learn so manner. "Let's see how long it's going to last." Suddenly looking at her with a curious look on his face, he knew that she was suspecting something about him having something in mind. She was so good at this and he couldn't barely hide anything from her. "Well I do... Have you read the Prophet lately ??" |

Evaline humphed. "A long time. I'll bet you ten galleons." she replied. If she lost this bet, she'd own him two paybacks and ten galleons she was definitely going to be in debt by the time she was 30. Smiling when he gave in to her questioning she started to listen carefully even with all the party goers making noise. "Not this week I haven't. So many problems and getting the international guests settled." she stated and then curiously asked, "Why?" |
After wandering around the wedding entrance for a bit, Rico realized he wasn't in the right line. Oops. He spotted a few familiar faces and approached one of the security guards. Or were they Aurors? Who knew these days. "Enrico Antonio Serio, Division Head of the International Magical Trading Standards Body," Rico rattled off brightly. It was a mouthful, sure, but the sooner he got it over with the better. "So...how do you get into the wedding anyways?" he added, winking and peeking over the guard's shoulder. |

Alexa looked at the now empty corridor, vaguely transmitting Warren had just passed her. She smiled and returned her attention to the guests at hand. She would meet up with him later. |
AJ strolled up to the check in point with a huge grin on her face and a shiny purple gift bag on her arm. "AJ Silverstone," she said, announcing the name she'd be under. After her name was checked off the list, she took the entrance badge and pinned it onto the lapel of her suit-coat and strolled on past. |
