"I've always worked in the Time Room," Meredith answered as she picked up another broken Time Turner. "Though I worked in a Time Room in the States for a few years before I came to London." She fixed the device quickly, her movements quick and skilled from years of experience. "What about you?" Meredithe asked Ariana. "I know you're new here, but have you worked anywhere else?"

Ariana watched for a moment as Meredith's hands worked ten times faster then her own at fixing a time turner. "Not really, unless you count looking after my neice and nephew from time to time," she replied with all honesty. "It's their first year of school this year." She finished fixing a time tuner and put it in the pile, "Where in America did you work?" she asked.

"Washington D.C." Meredith answered. "That's where the American school and ministry are located." She put yet another Time Turner in the box. Looking at the small pile of Time Turners left to be fixed, Meredith realized that it would soon be time to test them.

Elijah entered the Time Room, looking around curiously. Everything seemed in order, but though there was loud clicking going on throughout the area, it seemed as if it were a bit quiet. Shrugging it off, Elijah approached Meredith. "Is all going well?"

"Oh that would make sense, considering it's the captial of America," Ariana said. She grabbed one of the last two time turners and started to work again. She looked up as she saw an new person walked in, except he didn't look like he was new.

"Yes," Meredith answered Elijah. "We're almost done fixing these Time Turners, and then we're going to test them. And I was just about to clean that clock over there." Meredith gestured toward the wall. "You know the one."

Elijah nodded, and smiled briefly at one of the employees when she looked his way. He wondered, very intensely, what this girl knew about the clock.

He then turned back to the Division Head and nodded. "Yes, they probably could you a good scrubbing. God... what is it? I just feel like something is different about this room. Don't you sense it?"

In fact, it was sending shivers up his spine. It was almost creepy, eerie, the difference. Something wasn't right, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. Shrugging, he shook his head. "I must be imagining things. I'm going to go fetch a cup of tea. Let me know if you need anything."

With that, he nodded once more at the girl and Meredith and left the room.

"Meredith who was that?" Ariana asked as the man walked out of the room. She wondered what clock they were talking about as well, but realised that if Meredith said they were going to be cleaning it she'd probably find out soon enough. She looked down and saw that she had finished her last time turner. "Finished," she said happily.

Meredith was about to answer that yes, she had noticed something different about the room that day. It was creeping her out, too. But before she had a chance to say any of this, Elijah rushed out of the room. That was strange, she thought. Shrugging it off, Meredith went to retrieve the special clock along with some cleaning materials.

As she returned to the table, Meredith answered Ariana's question. "That," she said, "Was the Department Head, Elijah Wright." She carefully began scrubbing the clock, making sure that every inch of polished oak shined just right.

When Ariana finished, Meredith quickly looked over her work. "Good job," she praised. "Would you like to help me finish cleaning this clock?" Meredith tossed Ariana a cleaning cloth. Like many other clocks in the room, this one was fairly large and could take more than one person to clean.

Aelita entered the Time Room, looking around curiously. Everything seemed so strange/ She has comes here the first time...

Meredith looked up as another person entered the room. "Hello," she said, smiling warmly at the other woman. "I'm Meredith, the Division Head here in the Time Room." Meredith held out her hand for her to shake, then noticed a large amount of wood cleaner on her hand. "Sorry about that," she said, laughing a little as she wiped of her hand. Once the had was clean, Meredith again offered it to the new woman.

Aelita has looked around and has noticed that someone has gone to the room too. Woman has smiled warmly to her and greeted . And Aelita has smiled too and said: "Hello, Meredith. I'm Aelita Lett. I work here recently." Aelita shake Meredith's hand. "Nice to meet you".

"Nice to meet you too, Aelita," Meredith said, smiling warmly. "I was just cleaning this clock." She gestured towards the large clock on the table behind her. "Would you like to help?"

Behind her, Meredith thought she heard the clock stutter a bit. It shouldn't be doing that, she thought to herself. She quickly examined the clock, and, seeing nothing wrong, Meredith shrugged it off, figuring it had just been her imagination. She turned back to Aelita.

" Of course I would like to help you", said Aelita. Aelita heard the clock stutter a bit. "It had not just been you imagination, Meredith. Something not as should be.. I feel."


I forgot to say.. The sphyinx Kreig ran away from Time Room yesterday. I have almost caught it in Level Four Break Room///

"Yes, I've been feeling strange all day," Meredith agreed. "Something is . . . off . . . about this room today." She paused for a moment, lost in thought.

"Anyway," she continued, "the cleaning supplies are right here. The clock just needs to be dusted and polished. Thanks for the help." Meredith began carefully dusting her side of the clock, getting into all the nooks and crannies to ensure that every speck of dust was off the clock.

Suddenly, Meredith stopped cleaning the clock. Something was wrong. The clock had stopped ticking. She turned the clock so she could see the back and inspected every piece of the clock. She couldn't find anything wrong. This was not good.

Just as suddenly as the clock stopped ticking, it started again. Meredith stared in bewilderment at the clock, completely confused as to what the problem could be. If it happened again, she would go to Elijah.

"Wow!" Lilly breathed as she passed through the time room, on her way to the Hall of Prophecy, she passed quickly, too nervous to slow enough for a proper look around, not wanting to be late

"Hello," Meredith greeted the woman who had just entered the Time Room. "Can I help you?"

Hunter walked into the room. So, this was where he was going to be working. It was...unimpressive. He'd expected more. Oh well. One couldn't have everything they'd asked for in life. One of life's great mysteries. Hopefully he would at least get an office.

As he looked around, the first thing he noticed was that the room was devoid of life. Where was his team, assuming he had one. Oh God. He wouldn't have to do any hiring, would he? People frightened him enough in general, but sitting there asking them questions. He didn't even want to think about it.

"Hello. Anyone here?" He didn't think so, but it never hurt to check. He didn't like this. He had no idea what to do. That was a rather unfamiliar feeling. Unfamiliar equaled uncomfortable, as far as he was concerned. What if he had to talk to the department head because he was so lost. He would appear incompetent for sure. No, he'd figure things out.

Addie walked into the somewhat bright room. She headed over to the small group that was forming. There was only one man, standing and calling.
"I saw some people over there." she whispered. "Hi, I'm Addie Carlisle." she reached out her hand.

Despite getting instructions, Blake was late to work. But could anyone really blame him? The Department of Mysteries was confusing, and he'd never been there before that morning. He felt rather out of sorts at that point. Due to the fact that he was working, Blake had pulled on dress robes. He wore pinstriped robes, a dark gray collared shirt, and a blue tie. He hated formal wear. He felt restricted and uncomfortable. But there wasn't much choice. He couldn't just show up to work in jeans and a t-shirt.

Blonde hair tousled, and hanging in his gray eyes Blake finally walked into the time room. It wasn't terribly difficult to tell that he'd found the right one. There were clocks everywhere, and a few other things that he assumed told time in some way or another. He didn't really take time to assess them all. He passed by a case of time turners as he walked further into the room, looking for his department head.

"Hello? Anyone here?" He called loudly, looking around for more people. After a while his ears detected some voice. Blake followed them, and came across a small group of people. He smiled cheerfully at them, and combed his tousled hair out of his eyes. "Morning. Sorry I'm late. Uh....I'm Blake." He stated. This job was the first one he'd had that didn't involve working with family. He wasn't entirely sure how to act really. But in the end of the day he'd never been the type to be unnaturally formal. It would have to be good enough to be himself.

Addie glanced at the new arrival. "Hello! I'm Addie Carlisle." She reached out her hand to greet him. He looked about her age (She was twenty) yet he was very tall. Even with her above average height, she had to look up about a foot to see his face.
"It's my first day too." she said, smiling. He seemed nervous, which probably meant it was his first day. She could just tell these things.

At the sound of a voice Blake looked down. He was use to looking down at people by this point. He'd always been on the tall side. Most 'tall' guys stopped at about six foot two. But not him. Blake was six foot eight...he'd often been teased about how he should learn to play Basketball....but had never been terribly interested in the sport. Muggle sports were just so dull. He'd much rather play Quidditch...but wasn't very good at that either. He could fly, sure, but wasn't terribly graceful on a broom.

The female that addressed him was tall by normal standards, but was still nearly a foot shorter than him. She had dark hair and dark eyes. Blake assumed that she couldn't be much older than himself. Physically she could be older than him, she didn't have a childish look to her...but there was something in her eyes that made him assume she wasn't long out of school, like himself. He smiled at her before taking her hand.

"Well, Addie Carlisle, it's a pleasure to meet you." He stated with a toothy grin. "I'm glad I'm not alone then." He laughed, and dropped her hand. "It would seem you found this room easier than I did though. I believe I went through every room in this department before I finally found it." He stated with a laugh. Then again, he'd likely have checked them all out anyway...just out of curiosity.

"I wandered too, a bit, but I used to work in International Cooperation and I know the Ministry pretty well. This room is very... exciting, isn't it? Lots of clocks, which makes sense. It is the time room." She laughed. "What's your name?"

"Well this is my first department here. I only moved to England a month ago. Before that I worked at my parent's cafe as a cook." He explained and grinned easily. Everyone here seemed to have such experience behind them. They'd worked here for years, in several departments. It made him feel like that much more of an outsider. Even so, he was determined not to let it bother him.

"It is pretty interesting. Makes me wonder what it all does. It's...overwhelming. I mean, will I ever understand it all?" He remarked, once more looking around the room. Of course if he analyzed it long enough he assumed he could understand some of them. [/i]"I'm Blake Robinson."[/i] He introduced himself.

"Really? What kind of food? I stink at cooking. Except for stir-fry, my neices and nephews love that." she paused. "I raise them." Should she tell Blake why? If he asked, she would tell him.
