"Alright.", said Melina, who caught her boss' drift and was excited to be going home to her husband. "I'm going to head out now. I'll see you tomarrow.", She said as she gathered her things. Waving, she got up and walked over to the door. Turning the knob, she smiled, I can't wait to be home.

New day, fresh start, and Kris was in a good mood.

Walking into the Time Room, he was (as always) the first one in there, as it should be. He placed his coat on his desk in the front of the room, and then stretched his arms out and yawned. He had on his glasses again, but it's not like they were hideous or something.

The table was still glowing, and no prisoners had been taken captive by it either. Good. That meant he didn't have to kill anybody. Not that he would, of course. Waving his wand over the entire table, the charm lifted, and he began to remove the Time Turners in the little bins with the red X's on them to a different table. Those would be for him, for now at least. The others would be for Melina and Selene.

Now, time to wait for them. (Hahaha, time.) Oh how ironic he could be.

Melina walked into the Time Room to find Kris moving what looked like the Red X Marked Time Turners onto a different table. "Good Morning, Kris." Melina said, happily. "Did you have a good night?", she asked as she took her coat off and place it and her bag on a chair nearby. Then, she walked over to where Kris was and awaited her instructions.

"Morning, all," Selene said, stifling a yawn as she strolled into the time room. Grinning widely at her co-workers, she took her place next to Melina. "Do we get to start on the Time Turners today?" she asked enthusiastically.

"Morning Melina," Kris said without looking up. "Yes, I did enjoy my evening. My sister arrived home from Hogwarts, so it was nice to see her. How about yourself?"

He continued to carefully move the Time Turners away from the X'd ones, when he heard the door open once more. It wasn't going to be a surprise as to who it would be, so he just continued on until there was a voice heard.

"Good morning," he said, finally looking around after moving all of the Time Turners. "And yes, we are going to be working with them today. Any questions before I show you what to do?"

"That must've been nice, to see her again. I had a nice, quiet evening. I curled up on the couch, read a good book and fell asleep.", Melina replied. "Good morning, Selene.", Melina said, returning the smile.

Melina thought for a few seconds before answering Kris' question, "No, I think I'm good for now." Then, her head turned to Selene as she waited for her reply.

"I'm ready to begin as well," she agreed.

Kris nodded as he looked at Melina. "It was really nice to see her. I hadn't since Christmas. Now she's all grown up." Siiiigh. Kris really had missed his sister, and soon she would be in the workforce as well.

He smiled as Melina said she was ready. Following her look, he scanned his eyes to Selene, also waiting for her answer.

Kris nodded his head as Selene agreed she was ready. That was good, at least they were both ready.

"Alright," Kris said, stepping over to the time turners. "There will be three simple spells that we are using right now. Since you two have the majority of the time turners, I will be watching for a little bit."

He summoned the whiteboard over to them, and flicked his wrist as a marker began to dance across the board, writing out spells.

"The first one, is Permoveo. That is for moving the sand, and ONLY moving the sand. Do not point it at anything else, which means you have to concentrate." The marker began to write the word 'sand' next to the first spell. Once it was done, it moved down a line, and started the next spell. "This next one, is Aufero. That is for removing the wood." Once again, next to the second spell, the marker wrote down what it was for. As it made it's way down to the next line, Kris sneezed. Ugh, not that again. "The third, is Redintegro Vas. Now, that one will have the glass shards come up and dance about in front of you. Don't get scared, it will form back into the shape of the proper hourglass of the time turner."

As he watched the marker write 'glass' next to the last one, he turned towards the door, and flicked his wand so that multiple clicking sounds were heard. He turned back to the whiteboard, and flicked his wand again to rearrange the spells.

"I want you to remove everything in this order: wood, sand, glass. So, the spells would be Aufero, Permoveo, and Redintegro Vas. Today and tomorrow we'll be separating the pieces, and then we'll work on making actual ones."

He walked over to his section of where his Time Turners were, and put on his glasses. "I will always be right here, if you have any questions. Once you get the hang of it, we can talk amongst ourselves, or I can provide music to cover the sound of ticking and such. Your choice. Or, maybe both. It depends on how you both work."

Kris crossed his arms as he looked down at the Time Turners that were in front of him, and mentally prepared himself for his job today.

"Any questions?"

Melina nodded. It was always a pleasure seeing people for the first time in months. She listened as Kris explained all of the different spells involved in taking the Time Turners apart. "Bless you.", she said as Kris sneezed and then went back to listening.

Wood, sand, glass. She thought. Okay, so the spells are, in order, Aufero, Permoveo, and Redintegro Vas. "Nope, I don't have any questions.",Melina replied. She was very anxcious to begin and hoped that she would be able to master the technique quickly.

"No questions here," she said confidently, silently hoping that she wouldn't mess anything up too badly. She had just gotten this job, and would hate to lose it for incompetence.

"Alright then," Kris said, sitting down at the table where his own Time Turners were. "You may begin. I'm right here, if you need any help."

He turned his attention to his own Time Turners, but also kept an ear open for anything that went on. It seemed that his were more difficult, but he had expected that. There was a manual floating in front of him of previous instances, and occasionally he would flip a page.

He lowered his wand to the Time Turners, and silently performed the spells he had given his employees, except much slower than what they were doing. Some sparks were emitted, and he leaned back a little, but he didn't do a whole lot.

Melina nodded and picked up a Time Turner, quickly checking to make sure there were no X's on it that Kris may have missed. Seeing none, she got to work.

Taking her wand out og her back pocket, she pointed it at the sand and said to herself, "Aufero!" and watched as the wood was shed before moving onto the next step. The sand, Permovio., She thought to herself. "Permovio!", said Melina, pointing her wand at the sand and it moved aswell. Then, she moved onto the last step, "Redintegro Vas." and watched in amazement as the glass shot up and began to dance around on the table top before settling into place and before she knew it, there was a completed Time Turner sitting in front of her.

Wow!, She thought. I did it! And then moved the new Time Turner to the side grabbed another one. off of the table and began the process again.

A piece of parchment floated under the door and zoomed towards Kris to hover in front of him. Unfolding itself, it slid into his free hand, and waited for him to read.

Reading the parchment, Kris was not pleased about what was written on the paper. He crumpled up the paper with his fist, and set his hand down on the table rather hard.

"Alright, change of plans," he said, waving his wand. All of the time turners flew into the back of the room and could be heard resituating themself. "We are getting ANOTHER new department head. Our last one left us instructions of what to do."

He ran a hand along his hair, not pleased about this news at all. Not one bit.

"In preparation for the Quidditch World Cup," he started. "We are to prepare a time turner that can let the officials go back in time for about thirty seconds to review plays to ensure no cheating and no foul play." He flicked his wand again, and a single time turner came floating to the table in front of them. "This one had been used for that purpose before, but we need to fix it. It's not up to date at all. Once we are done with this, we need to work on omnioculars as well."

Sigh sigh siiiiigh. He needed more employees if he was going to have to do all of this. The SECOND their new department head stepped into this area, he would demand more employees. Or ones who showed up for work anyway. Back to the situation at hand, he flicked his wand to provide manuals for both of his workers in front of him.

"Read up on how to create a time turner. I'll be back."

He turned on his heel and left the Time Room rather hastily, the door shutting and clicking several times behind him.

Melina watched as Kris read the note. He did not look at all happy. As he announced their change in plans, Melina knew why. Another new department head and on such short notice. Oi!
"Okay. We'll do that", said Melina, setting aside yet another finished Time Turner and going over how to make a Time Turner in her head, taking her time to make sure she was correct, while Kris walked, swiftly, out of the room.

A few clicks were heard from the door, and Kris emerged slightly frazzled. Gah, whatever. He wasn't exactly in the mood to talk about it

"So, all employees are to report to the conference room," he said. "Let's go."

He held the door open for them, and vanished the books they had been looking at. None of that going on. Just time for a meeting. Greaaat.

Melina loooked up from her book to see that Kris had come back, and when Kris was finished speaking, she looked back down to put here book away, her book was gone.A meeting in the confrence room. Melina thought. Hm... must be an introduction to the new Division head.

Then, she got up and walked to the door. "Thanks.",Melina said to Kris, who was holding the door for her. And, with that she headed to the conference room to the whole department meeting.

Straight from the Department Head's Office, Lucein proceeded to the Time Room. His steps faltered, however, when he opened the door. Too bright. It took him a couple of seconds to get used to the unusual brightness and after blinking several times, he stepped in and closed the door behind him.

By the look of it, the room was devoid of any human presence except for himself. He walked farther still, letting his eyes take in the details of the room. There was a bell jar, a curious thing it was and held his attention for quiet sometime. Time. What a mystery.

Sighing, he took his eyes off the mesmerizing display of the 'cycle of life' and continued looking around. Seeing some desks scattered around, he fervently hoped to be assigned one. Merlin know how much he hated standing up all day.

Torquil walked into the time room and looked around, he blinked a bit, and slowly turned taking in every part of the room. This will certianly be interesting.. He thought to himself as he shrugged his shoulder.. Anything to distract him from...

He noticed another presence in the room and he smiled and moved forward to introduce himself. "Hello, I am Torquil Snow, I guess we will be working together.." He said with an easy smile.

Lucein was curiously eying a shelf lined with time-turners when he heard the sound of someone approaching. He turned around to face the new comer who greeted him and introduced himself. Lucein remembered him from the Conference Room.

With a lazy drawl, he answered, "That would seem to be the case, Mr. Snow." He walked towards a vacant desk and half sat on the side of it. "Lucein," he said, "Lucein Deveril."

Torquil watched as his fellow employee settled himself down on the side of the desk.. He blinked a little as his name.. And here he thought Torquil was unusual.." It is nice to meet you Lucein.." He said with a brief nod of his head.. His dark purple eyes briefly running over the man before turning them to look at the time turners. "So.. are you new here as well?" He asked, trying to fill the slightly awkward silence..

Ugh, definitely ugh. The man was talky. Talks weren't usually one of his stronger subjects. It looked like Lucein's going to have a long day trying to pacify his co-employee.

Sighing as discreetly as he could, Lucein inwardly prayed for patience, telling himself over and over again that it is important to be nice to co-workers. A nice relationship would mean a nice working environment and that's exactly what Lucein was trying to achieve when he answered, "Yeah. Today's my first day, actually."

When are the others going to come?

He almost groaned out loud, but thanks to the ticking of the clock the sound was drowned out.

Torquil looked at Lucein and he could see, that he would rather be left alone.. So he nodded once in response to His answer, and with a non committal grunt, wandered away from him, just looking around at everything in the room.

He sighed softly, why had he taken his sister's job? He really should just give it back to her.. At least he wasn't working with Melanie.. That was a big plus.. perhaps he could forget her, and move on with his life..

Suree and maybe you could forget how to breathe as well..

Torquil wished he could take one of the time turners off the wall and go back in time, and make it certain that he would never have met Melanie Hale.

So he finally noticed my dislike for casual discourse huh? Good for him.

Unfortunately, not good for him. After several minutes of silence and doing nothing but stare at the bell jar atop a far-away desk, images of a lovely brunette flooded his mind. Images of his wife, who, to Lucein's great sorrow was dead now.

Dead. All because she loved the wrong man and be loved by that wrong man in return. If he could go back in time, he'd make sure he never fell in love with her. Though he seriously doubted that. He wasn't sure if he can make himself not fall in love with his wife.

Lucein shut his eyes for several moments and took deep calming breath. Ease up, he told himself. Ease up.

And so he did. Several years of practice made him good at blocking unwanted memories. Or at least some of them.

Rather than slamming things around, Kris tried as casually as possible to enter the Time Room once more. That blinding brightness didn't catch him off guard any longer, as for getting here early in the morning and not being awake. It was nearing lunch hour, so he thought he would at least get everything started in there.

Walking in, he noticed the two men talking -- well, one talking, the other staring off. This room was one to be curious about, but only when you knew what they did made it more appealing to the eye.

"How are we doing in here so far?" Kris asked, letting the door shut behind him. "Oh, wait. We're down one. Anyone seen Melina?"

Lucein looked up as their Division Head entered the room. He didn't bother to answer Kristofer's question. Well, at least not verbally. He'd let Mr. Snow answer instead. It looked like the man's dying to talk to someone who can talk back.

Not wanting to look like he's being disrespectful by disregarding his boss's questions, however, he gave a non-committal shrug which sort of answered both of Kristofer's questions.
