Jeremy shrugged. "I guess your right.." then an idea hit him. "Or I could owe you and maybe..." he took a sip of his drink to take away the dryness of his mouth. "Or maybe I could take you out sometime to show you my thanks.'

Brianna had been about to take another sip of the butterbeer when she heard the last of what Jeremy was saying. She came very close to choking on it, and turned her eyes quickly up to him. "I'm sorry?" she asked, not sure whether she'd heard him right. She continued to look at him, unwilling to believe that he had just asked her out, but desperately hoping she had heard right.

"I mean.. if you dont wanna then..." he couldnt believe it she didnt like him. How stupid could he be..? He turned back to his butterbeer his face somewhat solemn.

"No, no, no!" Brianna rushed to say, she laid a hand over his, and said, "Yes, of course...I'd love to! I just wasn't sure I'd heard you right." She blushed slightly, then smiled again. How could he think that she didn't want to?!

The solemn look was wiped off of JEremys face and instead a smile was plastered on it. "Good. For a moment there I was thinking you didnt like me" he said almost laughing. "Truth is when that incident happened.. I dunnno, I felt a.. connection?" he told her running a hand through his hair. He was unsure of how she would react but he was telling the truth. He had never felt like that before. It was like an electric shock.

Brianna's smile grew brighter: He'd felt it too! "I did too...But I was half afraid that what I felt was due to the different potions dumped on us by Corranda..."

Jeremy laughed. "Well personally Im hoping not. Cause if it were then.. Im screwed"

Brianna grinned at the distinctly muggle phrase he used, then added, "Well, I have no other affects from the potions...so I'm guessing this isn't from that?" She smiled softly as she remembered flashes of scenes from the hallway outside her office during and after Corranda's attack.

Jeremy smiled. "Yeah me too. And look at my hands!!' he told her holding them up. Not a trace of blue or black could be seen anywhere. "The healer helped alot."

He put his hands down and looked back at her with a smile on his face. 'So when and where doI pick you up?" he asked he was happy she said yes

She blushed slightly as she realized she hadn't been on a date in forever. Shaking her head slightly at the absurdity of that, she answered, "How about after work, tomorrow?" she suggested.

Jeremy smiled. "Sounds good." he looked back down at his atch. "Man.. " he mumbled. "I have to go. Finish my papers nad head home. Ill talk to you tomrowo." he said and leaned over kissing her on the cheek "BYe" he said and left the builing.

Brianna raised a hand to her cheek, as if she could hold the feeling there. A soft smile played at the corners of her mouth. "Goodbye, Jeremy." she whispered. She sat back in the chair, her butterbeer forgotten.

"Not at all." she replied taking a sip of her drink. "I just wish...."she sighed, "I wish I could've known my mother for just a little while. And now with that she-devil hanging around, I never want to go home."

He reached over and placed his hand on hers as she spoke of her mother. "That sounds like it was difficult. Does your dad tell you of her much?"

he also felt bad as she spoke of her step mother. "Is she not good to you then?" He felt bad for bring these things up.

Siobhan blushed as she felt Edward's warm hands on hers. "No, he hardly ever talks about her...he never really has actually. He's a very secretive man. As for my step-mother...when I was going to Hogwarts, she couldn't wait to get rid of me after the summer. You see, I used to plan a few pranks on her." she smiled and blushed again at her past.

He smiled as she listened to her. "Well, I'm sure it was nothing harmful to her."

He enjoyed the feel of her hand in his and noticed a light blush rise in her cheeks. She was quite lovely and he was pleased they had met in the cafeteria.

"No of course not," she said in a joking way as she let her tinkling laugh out.

She enjoyed talking with Edward, and though he wasn't as open about his past as she was, it was still an enjoyable time.

He was ready to walk around. He looked at her and asked, "Would you like to take a walk in the park?"

"That would be lovely, Edward. It's always nice to get a bit of fresh air." she replied with a smile. She finished the last of her butterbeer, put the money on the table, and stood up and began to walk out the door. She looked over her shoulder to see that Edward was following her.

He stood after her, put his payment down and followed her to the door, smiling at her as she looked back. As he passed her, he grabbed her hand and led her from the pub.

Siobhan, was surprised that Edward was holding her hand, but she didn't protest and began to follow him to the park.

Nathan had finished early for the day and made his way to the Raven’s Claw. What a day it had been - he was utterly exhausted, and he hadn’t seen Egypt for hours – his head was aching with fatigue. He made a b-line for the bar and ordered himself two double firewhiskeys – he needed some Dutch courage before he faced his family - his father in particular. He hoped, at the back of his mind, that his father would not be around – that he would be away on one of his little ‘business trips’ but Nathan knew in his gut that he would be there.

He downed the drinks and ordered another together with a pint of ale. The temptation to stay here all afternoon and evening was setting in, but he knew he couldn’t stay long. And he couldn’t turn up drunk at his father’s house either – that would just prove to the man that he was right about Nathan. He breathed out a long tired sounding sigh and took his drinks over to a quiet table in the corner. He would savour these and then make his way to the Greenwood house.

Danielle walked into Raven's Claw. This was the first time here, she didn't notice anybody from work or any other place for that matter.

Dan had a bad day. She wished she was still playing Quidditch for Bulgaria than working at the Ministry.

Mentally kicking herself, she changed her thought process. Her mother had always told her to keep positive. Maybe she's right. Maybe work will get better.

Dan bought a glass of water. She pulled out her battered Quidditch Through the Ages yet again, to read it for the second time that day. She tried focusing on her book, but she just couldn't. Her mind kept straying towards that letter that one of her team mates had written her earlier that week. Dan, I know you won't like what I'm about to say; but it's true. You need to get out more. Meet new people. Maybe you might make some friends, and possibly find a guy that you like. I'm telling you this for your own well being. The team misses you terribly and we all wish you good luck on your first day at the Ministry! Write us please.

Maybe he was right. She did need to make some friends. She could just wait and see on the guy thing. Most guys that she had dated had just wanted to be with her because she was a professional Quidditch player. She needed some one who would look past that.

Dan drowned the rest of her water and grabbed a Daily Prophet that someone had left on the table that she had taken residence at. She turned the pages trying to find something that would spark her intrest.

Annie was tired but really wanted to be out in public, her mother's charity event was very borning, and she needed cheering up so she came to the pub for a drink.

Danielle shuffled through the pages of the paper. Not finding anything to spark her intrest, she looked around the pub. People were coming in and out, many getting a quick drink before dashing off to somewhere. Dan looked into her glass. There was nothing in it. She motioned someone from the bar over to refill her drink. She was still suprised that nobody had noticed who she was. I guess that the Bulgarian quidditch team isn't very popular in England. she thought looking into her bag for the tattered book she had with her every where.
