“Yes, but us boys would be rather out numbered. The odds would be stacked against us.” He grinned naughtily. Outnumbered by 12 young woman could never be a bad thing in Nate's book. If he were injured by a fying bludger, he would expect full sympathy from all of them. “What position would you play then?”

“I hope so, love.” Nathan replied gently as Egypt became a little subdued. He reached over the table and squeezed her hand gently.

“It was.” He grinned. “The reserve had dragons from all over the world. Magnificent creatures.” He sat back in his seat again. “But it wasn’t a very glamorous job. It was completely voluntary and I spent most of my time shovelling dragon dung.” He chuckled – he still spent some of the best days of his life there despite this. “We’ll have to pay the place a visit sometime. I’m sure we would be made very welcome.”

“Where would you suggest?” he asked. Somewhere miles away from here would be good. Be great if the MLES got wind of the fact that Nate was illegal carpet flying. It would not setting the best example for those who looked up to him… if indeed anyone looked up to him at all.

"Ha, I doubt any of you would mind if the Riddle girls came out in full force for a game." she could just imagine how her sister would come out if they knew a bunch of guys wanted to play them in a Quidditch match, she winched when the thought of the outfit the twins would wear. Those Greenwood boys wouldn't stand a chance with those odds. "I think I am a fairly good keeper." she said with a sly grin on her face.

"Thanks, I hope they will visit me too." she said squeezing his hand back."Oh Nathan that would be so great. I would love to get close to a dragon. We don't have that many magical creatures in Africa, more muggle ones." she said feeling really excited about the prospect of being around a dragon.

"Somewhere out of the UK that is for sure. I would die of shame if I was hauled before the Ministry for flying a carpet over a muggle city with my boyfriend." she told him

Sorena opened the door the Raven's claws. She bought a bottle of pumkin juice, and walked down to a couple of people.
"Hi. Could I please join you?" she asked, a little bit shy.

“No. I wouldn’t mind at all.” Nathan chuckled. “A keeper? You never fail to impress me Miss Riddle.” He grinned. “I’m quite a good keeper too. Although in the final match ever at school when I played keeper, I was knocked out within the first minute of the game. Woke up three days later and found I’d missed the end of year ball.” He shook his head and grinned at Egypt. Nathan had sustained many an injury to the head over the years, it was a wonder he could still function on a normal level.

“It’s a deal. Just don’t get too close. Don’t want my girlfriend being burned to a crisp.” He teased, “Some of the younger dragons have been reared by hand so they’ll allow you pretty close, but you still have to be careful. My friend, Klara from the Ministry owns a mini zoo. It contains both magical and muggle animals. I’m sure she would let us visit sometime.” She had already invited Nathan, he was sure Egypt would be welcome too.

He laughed at the thought of the two of them being hauled before the wizengamot. “They would go easy on you.” He teased, “You are one of them after all.”

He turned to look at the young lady who asked to join them and gave her a smile. He was on a date with Egypt but it would be rude to say no. The Raven’s Claw was not a nice place to be if you were alone and female - the group of rowdy muggles in the other corner of the bar proved that. “Of course.” He replied. “The more the merrier." "I aim to please Mr. Greenwood. Well a historic match it would be. The Riddles and the Greenwoods. I can see the headlines now." she said laughing as if she could really see them. "Well I am kinda good, I never played for the school team. Oh poor baby." she teased.

"Oh Nathan you know so many fascinating people. The only people I know are family members." She said, Nathan had been all over the world and she was jealous of that fact.

"Yeah I would get a slap on the wrist for flying an illegal carpet over London." she told him jokingly.

Egypt looked up at the girl who asked if she could join them. She saw the look Nathan gave her and just smiled. She would rather spend time alone with Nathan, but that would be rude.

"Yes please join us." she said moving her chair around so she could face and girl and be right beside Nathan.

Nathan laughed, “The Greenwoods would go down in history for being well and truly beaten by a bunch of girls. How utterly humiliating.” He stuck his tongue out at Egypt in a very childish way. “You’re so modest.” He teased sarcastically. “Poor baby? I tell you about one of the most traumatic things that happened to me at school and all I get is a poor baby?” he shook his head. “I'm very disappointed, Miss Riddle.”

“Yes, but what a family. I think I’d think I’d died and gone to heaven if I’d only ever met you and your sisters.” He joked as he took another drink of Egypt’s pint.

“I’m sure you would. The Wizengamot are really tight knit, so I’ve heard. The old geezer they have working there would take one look at you and think butter wouldn’t melt. He’d say you were completely innocent and blame it all on the drunken Scott.” This was probably a very likely outcome.

He put his arm around Egypt and caressed her bare shoulder softly as she moved closer to him. Her choice of muggle clothes were perfect for this. The effects of the alcohol were causing him to feel very mellow. He was tempted to put his head on her shoulder and close his eyes... a nap would be nice... but it would be terribly rude in the company of others.

"Are you saying sir that a group of girls could never beat a bunch of guys at quidditch? That is what you are trying to imply?"

"Would you like me to kiss you and make it all better?" She asked him giving him a big grin. "The loss would not be so bad would it? I mean I could make up for you losing later on if that makes you feel any better." she told him slyly.

"You get all 12 of us together and you will pray for a quick death is what you will do."

"Well that is good to know that I can commit a crime and blame it on you and get away with it. There are some things I have been meaning to do." she stuck her tongue back out at him

Egypt shivered as Nathan rubbed her bare shoulder, he was leaving goosebumps all over her shoulder and back. Other than her hands and a kiss, he had never touched her. His rough hands over her soft bare skin sent tingles of electricity shooting through her body. She had to shake the naughty images from her head. She noticed him blinking and fighting to stay awake like a baby refusing to give into sleep. It was kind of cute.

She leaned over to his ear, "You ready to call it a night?" she whispered to him.

“No. I’m saying that because we’re outnumbered 12 to 4, you and the girls will slaughter me and the lads. And if… IF we do win, it will be a outstanding victory for us.”

“I wouldn’t mind.” He replied and grinned at her next words. “Oh, stoppit. You’re killing me with your wit, Miss Riddle. Although ...you could make it up to me… and then if we win you know you’ll owe me something a lot… better.” He smirked mischievously.

He laughed, “A very good way to go though.”

“Oh, just keep em coming, Riddle. You know when I get out of jail I’ll get my revenge on you and your family.”

He felt her quiver and pulled her closer to him, kissing her other shoulder before laying his head on it and closing his eyes - he had lost this particular battle. But was abruptly brought back to reality and the noisy surrounding of the Raven’s Claw as she whispered in his ear. “Wha? Oh.. ur, yeah. I think that’s a very good idea.” Nicoli would have a fit if he went into work in the same state as he had today. Sleep was a very good idea indeed. He stood up, “Miss Riddle?” He said putting out his hand to help her up.

"A great way to go surrounded by 12 beautiful women. What man could ask for anything more." she said smiling.

"Oh and I am sure you already have my payment in mind," she said giving him a playful punch in the arm.

He kissed her shoulder, and she closed her eyes, mentally willing him to keep going. she felt him resting his head on her shoulder. she was glad he was sleepy, she had never seen him sleep to be honest, she didn't want to wake him. But the noise of the pub woke him up anyways, and it was time to go. "Yeah, let's go home."

She grasped his hand and stood up. She pulled down the back her shirt that had rode up her back to reveal a patch of bare skin. She bent down to retrieve her purse that she had knocked of the table when she heard those same muggles catcalling and whistling. She snapped up quickly and turned to glare at them.

"I can see why you are sitting in a pub alone sir. You do not know how to treat a lady." She said glaring at all of them.

"Well love, come on over and I can show you just how well I can treat you." The nearest one said to her standing up and making lewd gestures toward her and his pants.

Egypt's face burned with embarrassment.

“Oh a couple of things spring to mind.” He chuckled. He rubbed his arm pretending she had really hurt him with the playful punch. “Merlin, woman, you don’t know your own strength.”

The next things that happened were a bit of a blur. Egypt knocked the table and his half empty pint went flying. His eyes darted over to the muggles who had started heckling her again. Egypt responded and their behaviour became ten times worse as one of them started making lewd gestures towards her. “What the!?” he glowered in their direction. His hand had gone to his wand but he stopped himself as he became aware of what he was doing. Hexing a bunch of muggles in a crowded pub was a very bad idea indeed.

He strode over to the group and before he realised what he was doing he felt his fist connect squarely with the culprit’s jaw. There was a loud crack and the muggle stumbled backwards. He looked back over the sea of people towards Egypt to see if she was ok. As soon as his back was turned the muggles lay into him, kicking and punching every square inch of his body. He fell to the floor and they continued to kick him… He feebly reached for his wand – he had no choice. He pointed it up at the jeering faces looking down at him, “Stupefy” he muttered. He must have hit something because the kicking came to an abrupt halt. He dropped his wand to his side, his eyes closed and everything went black. This, was not good.

Egypt reached into pocket, but didn't pull her wand out. She didn't want to get into trouble with the Ministry. Nathan punched one of them, and Egypt let out a yelp of surprise.

She was shocked that he would fight like a muggle, but then again they were in a bar. She backed over an upturned chair and tried to help Nathan. One of the muggles friends blocked her way and another one of the men grabbed her and shook her like a rag doll.

She hit him with a stinging curse in his groin area and he dropped like a stone. "Nathan!" she shouted as they all jumped on him. She jabbed her wand at one of them men and he grabbed his stomach and doubled over in pain. Everything was happening so fast. She saw Nathan's wand and then one of the men fell over stunned. She ran to Nathan and grabbed him and pulled him to his feet. The guy he had stunned was slowly coming to. The other guys had backed off. They didn't know how their friend had gotten on the floor. Egypt snapped up Nathan's wand before anyone saw and stuffed it down his pants.

"Come on big boy." she whispered. Another patron came over and helped her heave Nathan off the floor and into a chair.

The barkeep came around the bar, "Alright I won't have fighting in me pub. Out with the lot of you," He told the muggles. "We won't have anyone treating one of me best customers like that." He said gesturing toward Nathan

Nathan was beginning to come round. He attempted to open his eyes but they closed again. He couldn’t remember what had just happened but he knew he was in pain. Everywhere. “Big boy." he muttered incoherently but didn't know why. He tried to open his eyes again and with some effort they fluttered open. Everything seemed so bright. He blinked a few times trying to focus on his surroundings. "What happened?” He asked quietly and tried to move. He sank back into his chair and it all came flooding back. “Egypt?” he asked suddenly, “Are you ok, love?” He felt terrible that she had become involved in that.

He noticed the barman was also there and the pub had become very empty. Whether the barman had thrown out all the punters or if the brawl had scared them away Nathan did not know. His hand went to his lip which was bleeding and felt huge. His nose was stinging – no doubt he had a black eye. Just what he needed for work tomorrow. A fat lip and a black eye. He attempted to stand again and this time managed to get to his feet. "A night to remember." he said to Egypt and tried to smile. Urgh! - his lip hurt.

She was dabbing a wet rag on Nathan's lip, she didn't want to think about the sanitary conditions of that rag. She saw Nathan trying to come around.

"Oh honey." she said looking at his face. He had jumped into a fight to defend her and her was clearly outnumbered. She was grateful for that, but he was hurt, and she was mentally feeling his pain. "You charged into a bunch of guys to defend me. You got one of them, but they all jumped on you and you went down."

"You stunned one of the guys." she whispered in his ear making sure no one listening in. "I confunded him and the barkeep. So no harm no foul. Just a little banged up." she pushed his hair out of his face.

"I live closer, you can stay at my house. And I will take care of you all night." she offered.

That wasn’t very Nathan, charging into a fight like that. What on earth had got into him? “You’re alright? They didn’t hurt you did they?” he asked and stretched out his hand stroke her cheek. He noticed his knuckles were messed up, the one he managed to punch must have been suffering pretty badly right now.

He remembered casting a spell at one of them and thinking that was it. He was either going to die or be hauled off to prison. He was so grateful for Egypt’s quick thinking. “What would I do without you?” he asked gently.

“You sure?” he asked, not wanting to face getting home on his own to an empty flat. “I’ll be no bother. I’ll keep out of your way.” He just wanted to get to bed now… Egypt’s home was likely to be a lot more comfortable than his own. “Thank you, love.”

He looked over at the barman, “Thanks for your help, mate.” He said with a nod, remembering now that he had thrown out the muggles responsible for this mess. He linked arms with Egypt and staggered his way towards the door.

She kissed his bruised hand, "He only shook me for a minute, I hit him in the privates with a stinging curse." she said. "I'm alright, and I love you so much right now." she kissed him all over his bruised face. She felt him flinch when she got to his lips, "Oh, I'm sorry." she said.

"You would get into a lot of trouble without me." she told him.

"I want you to be in my way. I said I will take care of you." she kissed him again on the cheek. "Let's get going." She let Nathan lean on her, "Let's go home." She pulled Nathan toward the door and they staggered out.

"Hi," said Sorena. "I am Sorena Evans Malietta, works in the department of mysteries.. Uh, and thanks by the way."
Sorena smiled and sat down on a chair.

"It's defentely different from home...in Kilkenny." she said seeing Edwards confusion at the word 'home'. "But I like it, it is always nice to meet new people who are so...what's the word, friendly!" she smiled and nodded as if in a toast to Edwards actions. "I do miss me da, and me ma...well..." she fingered a blue crystal star charm that hung around her neck, "she's been gone for awhile...I never really knew her much. It's just been me and my brother Liam and my father and now his new wife Giselle LeBouef." Siobhan's lip curled at the frou-frou French name ((no offense to any french )). She was stunned at herself not realizing that she had been rambling like she never had before.

Edward listened as she began to speak more openly. He didn't want to interrupt for fear she would stop.

As she nodded, he lifted his glass and smiled, nodding as well.

As she spoke of her fmily, he caught the part about her lip and grinned. "Not fond of the step-mother then?"

Brianna came down to the Raven's Claw in utter exhaustion. She was getting worn out working so hard. Ordering a butterbeer, she found a table in the corner of the pub and relaxed back into a chair, kicking her heels off under the table. Sighing with relief, she sipped the butterbeer, enjoying the flavor, and the absence of work to do.

Jeremy walked in running a hand through his hari. He loked around as he entered the pub. He had been looking for Brianna for quite some time now but she was no where to be found. He looked up and saw a familar face. He smiled. "Well hello there' he said brightly walking over to Briannas table. "You look exhausted" he said standing before her. He was happy to see her.

Brianna looked up as a familiar voice cut through the exhaustion. She almost jumped up to hug Jeremy, but reined in that impulse. Smiling warmly, instead, she greeted him, "Hello there! I didn't think I'd be seeing you around anymore...everything has been so hectic since...well, since Corranda." She made a face, then resumed smiling up at him. "Why don't you sit here with me?" She said, waving at the other empty seats.

Jeremy smiled. "What? Didnt think youwould see me? Thats absurd" he said smiling at her. HE took the seat next to her and ordered a butterbeer. "Actually.. I have a secret. " he said sipping his drink and eyeing her.

"Really?" She asked, looking over at him, "You do?" She took a sip of her drink and leaned forward a bit, "What is it?"

"WEll the secret is.." he said leaning forward with a smirk on his face. "ive been looking for you." he said smiling and sat back sipping his drink. "I just wanted to say thanks.. you know for saving my life." he aded. He could have slapped himself just then.. TELL HER!! He shouted in his head. Just tell her.. but he didnt he sat looking at her instead.

Brianna continued smiling though it had dimmed somewhat. Of course, she thought, He just wants to thank you for helping him...nothing more. She squashed that hopeful feeling in her chest and turned to him, smile still firmly in place. "There's no need for thanks," she whispered, "You saved mine, I saved yours, we're even."
