A couple blocks from the Ministry there is a neighborhood park. It has swings and a Merry-Go-Round, lots of trees for shade and several picnic tables. There is a fountain in the middle where the children can splash and sail their little boats.
A great place to meet the family for lunch, but be careful…there are Muggles here, too. | |

Chris blanked out from looking at the picture of Tish that he forgot he was with Alison. He smiled as she studied the faces of his children and wrapped his arm on her shoulder. Realizing she sighed, his smiled sort of dropped. "What's on your mind, Alison?"

"Well, Chris..." Alison said hesitantly, "It's my age. I'm barely 21 and your chldren are nearly my age. Then, there's my parents - they're all respectable muggles and they want someone my age." she sighed again. Her parets would not approve of Chris and she knew it.
Then there was the fact that he was a widow. Her parents wouldn't approve at all knowing that.

Chris's eyes widen when he heard this. He's 37 and she's 21. Kyle and D.J. are 4 years younger than she is, kinda creepy, in a weird way...He was afraid something like this would happen, the second they kissed. He was afraid something would tear him up into a million pieces. And now, something did.
"I'm 37," Chris quietly spoke. Just when something good turned up, it morphs into a thing, that can never be. A love that can never be..."I can understand that your parents wouldn't approve. My parents never liked my wife, Tish, because she was a muggle. Everyone in my family are pure-bloods and Slytherins. At least, were! The kids are the only Ravenclaws and the only half-bloods."
Chris knew he didn't have a chance with Alison. At least the one day relationship was fun, while it lasted...

Alison heard him speak his age. 37. The word thirty-seven went inside her head but did not compute. She chose to ignore it and to come back on it.
"Then there's the fact that I'm the liason to Law Enforcement and I work with the minister... I just don't want them to get any strange ideas." she mumbled, staring into the distance.

Alison wrapped herself in the kiss, wanting to never stop. She kissed back, letting tears run on her cheeks. She felt good and bad. She knew that he was 37 and she was 21. She knew he had kids and was a widower. She just didn't think about it.

Chris felt so alive, having Alison in his arms. He never wanted this moment to end. But, soon it had to. Life never looked so real, til he found her. He didn't care if they were out in public or that there were kids at the park or that the kids parents were telling the lovers to get a room! Chris didn't care anymore. Everything was perfect.

Alison didn't want to end it, but she had to get back to work. She pulled away from him and asked, "How about my place? For dinner." she was keeping the tone light and casual, for it was obvious what she meant. "It's on Oxford Avenue, 3rd building from the right." she said. She held fast to his hand.

Floyd had a long day....and a profitable one, too. He sold almost 8 galleons worth of floo powder. It made his purse a little heavier, but not enough to squander it on a room. A park bench would do nicely. Please let the park be empty, no muggles to worry about.
