A couple blocks from the Ministry there is a neighborhood park. It has swings and a Merry-Go-Round, lots of trees for shade and several picnic tables. There is a fountain in the middle where the children can splash and sail their little boats.
A great place to meet the family for lunch, but be careful…there are Muggles here, too. | |

Floyd awoke with the morning sun. He really needed to find a better place to sleep. A bed would be really nice, as his 63 year old bones did not take kindly to a park bench. The first item on his agenda was food. A quick stop at the market and then to work. With any luck, he'd have many more coins in his pocket at then end of his day. Off to the Market he went, with all of his earthly belongings in his knapsack. |

Nathaniel needed some fresh air so decided to take a wander to the local park. Maybe the air would wake him up a bit. He shoved his hands in his pockets and sauntered towards the fountain. Nathan felt a lot more comfortable in muggle surroundings than the stuffy wizarding environment of the Ministry. ...And he fit in better, given his clothing. He found a bench and plonked himself down, rubbing his tired, bloodshot eyes before watching the comings and goings of muggle families …and the occasional wizard who stuck out like a sore thumb.

Alison walked into the park with the man next to her, viewing some muggle families. She removed her cloak and sat down on the bench, letting her eyes dry slightly and sighing. God, I completely messed up, Alison thought, watching a little boy run around.

"No, It's... Okay." She said. It was, but something in her stomach told her to comfort him, to make him feel okay. She slowly pulled her hand over his, pulling his hands away from his face. "It really is. I just... Didn't feel comfortable back there." She chose her words carefully. She held his hand. It was warm, not sweaty like the other boys she'd held hands with.

Feeling Alison's hand holding his hand, made Chris feel the comfort, he hadn't felt since when his wife was alive. He held her hand tightly and smiled weakly. He wanted to do more, but didn't want to scare her. She's so beautiful...Chris's smile later grew, with confidence.

Alison's stomach felt funny, like there were about 20 thousand butterflies in it. He was so handsome, and charming, and... She held his hand for what seemed like an internity and whispered, "Smile a bit bigger and you'll get a kiss." and smiled a small smile.

I've never felt this way since...Well never, in 12 years...Chris liked the kiss and felt the kind of attraction, towards Alison, that should be illegal. A moment, after the kiss, he kissed her this time. Softly and passionately. Hope she doesn't mind...After what seemed like forever, they stopped and Chris stared at Alison, deeply.

Alison felt butterflies, this time about a 100 times more. She let him kiss her, and stared into his eyes. They were dark brown like her and were intense, gazing into her. The corner of his eyes were forming the crow's feet look but were kind, the kind of kind that was caring and sweet.

Alison blushed her usual faint pink and said, "Well, you look very dashing no matter what." And cuddled into his arms, burying her head into his chest. She was rather miniscule so that was no problem. She stared into his eyes and let herself dive into the brown deepness of his eyes.

Alison watched him take the photos out of his wallet and chuckled. A family man, she thought, watching curiously and studying their faces. They all shared dark brown hair and varying shades of blue eyes, along with either a pointed chin or a squared one.
"I'm guessing the brown hair and square jaw is from you." she said, trying not to touch the memories of his wife.

"Yes," Chris chuckled. "Most of the features are either from my wife or my parents. Yes, you'll love them...Everyday isn't a normal when you're with the Addams Children, that's their motto." His attention was grabbed by the photo of his wife, Tish. Chris tried not to get emotional, in front of Alison, but looking at Tish's face reminded him of some precious memories that he hasn't thought of, in years.

"Lovely." Alison said, studying the faces carefully. She realized the girl, Wednesday, had purple eyes. A flashback came to her, remembering Loise Mudgeon who was teased every day for purple eyes. She suppressed a shudder and went back to studying the pictures. They were still all school-aged, and yet the oldest children were only 4 years in age away from her. She was 21 and she realized that Chris must have been at least 15 years older than her. She sighed.
