"Really? I had meerly heard a few rumors," Gavin remarked having overheard things once or twice when he walked into the breakroom or cafeteria. If there was anything the ministry lacked it wasn't rumors or gossip. "Shall be interesting then," he added as he pulled out a file or two he had been going over lately as research.

Having been reading as the hours passed, his glasses were perched just so on his nose. He looked up and over them as he heard what Calla said, catching her wink and understanding the non-to-subtle clue. Giving her a few minutes head start as to cover their tracks, Gavin excused himself for a break of his own and followed her out.

Wearing her blue and black dress and boots, Abigail Weather headed into her office with a large smile on her face. It had been yesterday that she had gotten the news from Ben about being promoted to run BOTH The Invisibility Task Force and Experimental Charms Committee, though, she still couldn't believe it. It was definitely going to take another day or so for the news to really sink in.

Abby headed over to her area in the office and placed her purse down on top of the wooded desk. She was about to take a seat until she noticed someone standing up that she hadn't noticed before. "Hello," she greeted the girl. "May I help you?"

Returning from lunch, Gavin and Calla had decided to split up again so it didn't seem like they were always together. The new couple trying to keep their relationship on the down low. Walking into the office he spotted a vaguely familiar face he had seen around the office and wondered if this was the woman who had been given the head role over both groups when his own boss had had to step down. Seeing as she seemed busy with the new girl Calla had spoken with earlier,Gavin simply returned to his seat to see what he could do.

Storm looked around as someone spoke to her. "Hi," she said. "I'm Storm Vedis - I'm supposed to be starting in Experimental Charms today," she explained. She hoped the woman could at least tell her where she was supposed to sit, so at least she wasn't standing around, looking as awkward as she felt!

Dora made her way into her old office with a smile on her face. It felt so nice to be on Level Three again.

Spying Abby she smiled wider still. "Hey there boss lady. How are you?" she asked as shee perched herself onthe corner of a desk. Her little bitty baby bump barely visible in the sweater and loose fitting jeans she had donned that morning.

Upon hearing footsteps, Abigail turned to face the person that had just walked into the office. She knew him! Didn't the meet the first day he began to work on Level 3? She couldn't quite remember if they did or didn't. The only thing she remembered what that he had worked for Mel. "Good afternoon," she greeted the man. "I'm Abigail Weather, but you're more than welcome to call me Abby."

What an interesting name, Abigail thought once the girl introduced herself. "It's a pleasure to meet you Storm," she said. "I'm Abigail Weather. I'm the Division Head for the Experimental Charms Committee and the Invisibility Task Force." Wow, that took a lot of air to say that. She was definitely just going to say 'this office' next time.

She took a quick glance around the office before pointing to one of the empty desks that was near the desk Gavin was sitting at. "I guess that can be your desk," she told her. "Unless you see another desk you prefer to sit at." As long as the girl chose a desk to sit at that was in THIS office, it didn't matter to Abby where Storm sat at.

Abby KNEW that voice!

She quickly turned around, almost loosing her balance in the process, and squealed when she saw Dora sitting on the corner of one of the desks in the office. "DORA!" She exclaimed. "I'm so glad to see you!" She ran over to her friend (and old employee) and hugged her.

"I'm good," she answered Dora's question after releasing the woman from her hug. "Very happy, though, that you decided to come give us a visit. So, what about you? How have you been? How are you and Silas? How's Level 9?" She shut her mouth when she realized how many questions she had just asked Dora. Abby had just gotten a little carried away, that's all. She hasn't seen Dora since she had moved departments.

Hearing the door open as he moved to sit down, Gavin looked over to spot the familiar face of Dora. Not having seen her really since the incident in the breakroom, he was somewhat glad that she seemed a bit more cheerful then she had been when her hormonal outbursts had left him bewildered. He slipped his glasses back on from his pocket letting her be since she seemed to have come up to see the othe woman, whose identity had been confirmed by Dora's use of the affectionate 'boss lady.'

"Nice to meet you," Storm responded. "Should I call you Ms Weather, or...?" she queried. She looked at the desk indicated and nodded. "Looks good to me," she said. Sitting near her colleagues would be good, she could get to know them quicker and hopefully feel part of the team. She walked over to the desk, and put her backpack down beside it. "What should I be doing right now?" she asked, keen to get started on her new career.

Calla made sure to lag a few minutes behind Gavin. He was right after all, they shouldn't advertise their relationship. Upon entering the office she saw Gavin, the new girl Storm, her new boss Abby and grr Dora.... Calla smiled politely at all, but opted not to say anything. She went to her desk, sat down and dove into some files.

Dora giggled and returned Abby's hug. "It is so good to see you, Abby." she exclaimed. Before she could get too much out Abby hit her with a load of questions. Dora listened with a smile on her face and then said, "I am doing very well, Silas and I are great actually. Level Nine is amazing and I have some amazing news.... Silas and I are FINALLY married and expecting twins!" She was so excited her hair went berserk... Turning a lovely shade of lavender. Teehee. "What's new with you? How is it going up here?" she asked as she cast a glance around the room. New faces everywhere.. and some she knew. Grrrrr.

Dora spotted both Gavin and Calla and gave them a cheeky little smile and wiggled her fingers at them in acknowledgement. Grrr, indeed.

He didnt really bother with coffee today,something told him that coffee wasnt going to be needed. He had everything he needed in his arms,the files that needed to be handed in.He'd been away as his mother was suffering from a terrible illness and he had to miss the World Cup Quidditch. He was rather gutted if he was completely honest. He saw a few people already going about their busy day so he just raised a hand in a 'hello' gesture. He saw Calla with her head burried in her work like usual.He walked over to her desk and came up behind her.He placed his hands over her eyes."You know if you stick her head any further into that paper work,you're going to loose it.."he said smiling and walking to his desk which was a little but away from hers."Hey listen .. erhh.."he said looking away for a moment. Just do it..!."Are you busy tonight?"He asked,looking back to her.

Herod got off the lifts, followed the signs to Experimental Charms and asked the first employee he saw, "Hello, I'm from the Ludacris Patents Office and I have an invention with some spells on it that I need tested. Its a pair of 'Bug-Eye-Glasses' that zoom in 200x and and lets you see from all sides. This is experimental charms and I need you to see if its all safe. If it is, please send me a memo. Good day!......" he said smiling. Before turning to leave, he thought it'd be plite to ask, "Any questions?"

Then the hands came over Calla's eyes she thought it would be Gavin she smiled and turned around, she giggled "Stop it Gav..." Shock and embarrasment came over her face as she saw it wasn't Gavin. "Oh, Hi Tallin" She bit her lip as she walked accross the room.

Her mouth went into a O shape. "Oh well I umm." They hadn't made their relationship officially known, and she wasn't sure she should say it in the middle of the office. Of course what if he just meant a friendly cup of coffee or something?

She looked to Gavin across the room, he was deep in his paperwork. Looking back to Tallin she spoke, "I umm, do have plans actually." She tried to be gentle, she knew it had to have taken alot of courage to ask her out. She opted not to say anything about her having a date, or dating anyone. Her cheeks were flushed, she felt bad, "I'm sorry."


Calla heard the door open, and she turned from Tallin to the man standing now in the office. She looked from the man, to Abby - who was not the head of Experimental Charms. Bug eye glasses sounded fun.

The first man was unreponsive, but this new enployee seemed more eager to help. "Yes, mame can you hep me. I need this charm tested, you know. To make sure its safe and all." He handed the man the glasses and the file.

Calla's eyebrows rose, nearly touching her hair line. Was he calling her a sir? She looked right and left. Yup. Nitwit. She looked nothing like a sir .

"Umm, well I suppose I can take them and give Abigail the message - she's the head of the department. She'd really be the one to accept them and instruct the tests." She stood and took the glasses, "And what department does she need to get the message to when the testing is complete?"

"Up on level seven, Ludacris Patents. Thanks mame." he said turning to leave.

He gave her a smile, even though he throughly doubted it would be returned. "Good day" he said.

Jake went to sit by his desk as his coffee cooled down. He was a tidgey bit bored, and wasn't really sure what he was supposed to be doing, so he settled with sitting back in his chair and drinking his - hot - coffee, while thikning about the Quidditch World Cup.

Gavin caught sight of Dora's makeshift wave, giving a nodd in acknowledgement of the gesture before returning to his work. It wasn't like there was anything he needed to speak with her about and she was closer to the others in the office.

He looked up once more a short time later as he heard what sounded like Calla talking to him but she broke off suddenly. The man raising a slight eyebrow curious as he lowered his paperwork, the feeling growing a bit as he spotted the younger man close to her wondering a little on what was up.

Playing the jealous card he silently berated himself even though he wasn't really. When her attention turned to an actual job related task Gavin knew nothing was up out of the ordinary, just collegues being friendly and nothing to worry about so he returned to his own tasks. He had been serious when he told Calla she wouldn't have to worry wih him around... he would do what he could to look after her without crowding.

Abigail gave the man a little smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Gavin," she said. "You work for the Experimental Charms Committee, yes?" She was positive that she was right considering that she knew everyone that had worked for the Invisibility Task Force.

Abigail shook her head at the mention of being called 'Ms. Weather'. She despised being called that. "I prefer Abigail or Abby," she informed the girl. "Anything but Ms. Weather." She watched the girl as she headed over to her desk and Abby added, "Make yourself comfortable, Storm. We're all family here." She took a quick glance around the room before placing her eyes back on the girl. "As far as I know, we don't have anything to truly work on," she answered. "It's been a slow last couple of days."


Abigail walked back over to her desk to pick-up her cup of coffee. "I'm glad to hear Level 9 is amazing. But, nothing could have beat working on Level 3," she said with a little wink. She leaned herself against the side of her desk as she took a few sips of her coffee. Though, upon hearing Dora's news, Abby almost spewed her coffee all over the floor of the office. "Twins?" She repeated. "That's...AMAZING! Congratulations. And please do pass my congratulations to Silas."

"Nothing much. I'm still getting nagged by people - mostly my sister - about getting a boyfriend and I got promoted to run this whole office, which you already know. It's been pretty much the same old, same old for me," she replied to Dora. "And, it's all going great up here. Though, it has been kinda slow since the Quidditch World Cup."

Abigail had been paying so much attention to Dora that she hadn't noticed someone had been in the office that didn't work there. She placed her cup of coffee on the table and headed over to Calla. "Sorry, I hadn't been paying attention," she apologized. "So, what is that?" She tilted her head at the object that Calla was holding.

Calla was still pretty confused when Abby approached, "Well, it appears it's a pair of 'Bug-Eye-Glasses' that zoom in 200x and lets you see from all sides." She handed them over to her boss. "He said he was from level seven, Ludacris Patents." She shrugged. She honestly wanted to try them on, cause frankly the kid inside her thought it'd be awesome - but that was for Abby to decide.

Giggling a little she added, "You know wouldn't these do the same as binoculars?" She smirked and returned to her desk, not wasting an opportunity to give Gavin smile.

FLASH!

The camera that Wes was holding made a tiny clicking noise as he snapped a photo of the door he was facing. This name plate was new since he had left a few years ago--pretty much EVERYTHING was new here. Because it was all neeeeeeeeeew he wanted to document it all for his photo journal.

He heard voices inside and decided that now was as good a time as ever to make an appearance in this office. All the other ones had been quiet as he passed but THIS ONE was cleary full of life inside. He knocked and then remembered he was Department Head--he could just waltz on in if he pleased, right?

"Helloooooo," he said happily as he dramatically opened the door. Goooooodness. There were a lot of people in here!

"Umm...hi. I'm the new Department Head, Wesley Kutcher, but please, call me Wes," he explained. There was nothing he loathed more than the full version of his name. Bleeeeeh. "I just came by to introduce myself. What's going on in here?" he asked curiously.

Calla looked up at the man coming through the door. He was a bubbly little piece of excitement wasn't he? Calla couldn't help but smile. She stood and extended her hand, "I'm Calla Ainsworth. And only thing going on is someone dropped off some bug glasses" She let out a small laugh - bug glasses sounded funny to her.

"Yes I do," Gavin replied answering Abby having had no real connection to the Invisibility Task Force until the higher ups had meshed the two groups together under the woman. He caught sight of Calla over the top of his glasses as he looked up and she returned to her desk. The man smiling back in return.

Since Abby seemed to have the only item on the agenda under control Gavin was about to continue with his work until he thought he noticed something coming from outside the door. He didn't have much time to be curious when said door opened to admit a new man.

At first thinking another employee for their office, the man in question introduced himself as their new department head. Geez whats with all the new people coming in after me he thought to himself, never having met the man Wes replaced any more then he had spent time with Mel.

Gavin placed his glasses down on his desk with his book he was studying ready to introduce himself when it came to him. Biting back a laugh at the thought that Calla always seemed to be the welcome wagon.

Wes smiled. "Nice to meet you, Calla," Geez, where there ANY guys on this level? So far all he had met were women! Not that he was complaining, of course. Hehe. He looked over the glasses that the group were examining and wrinkled his brows.

"Bug glasses?" he repeated. He let out a chuckle--it sounded so absurd when he repeated it. "What are they supposed to...erm...do?" he asked the group at large. He smiled at each and every one of them, hoping they'd start talking soon--he wasn't SCARY was he?

She smiled; she had only met Ben in passing so this was a nice change. "Nice to meet you Wes" He looked very energetic. She looked around the room; there had been so many new people she couldn't keep up. She had been there just over a year and the only person that was still there from when she started was Abby. Everyone else had moved on to other departments.

Calla giggled as the new department head questioned the bug glasses, "Well as it was explained to me, they're supposed to magnify 200x's... I haven't tried them though" she said with a shrug, although she wanted to try them pretty badly.

"I think it's a novel idea, but I'm not sure they'd be practical." She smiled and eyed the glasses that were in Abby's hands.
