Melanie went with Calla, tears on her face from all the laughing. " Common' Dora honey, it was just a little joke, the baby was harmless!" she said and laughed " Just a big pain , but completely harmless!"

She looked over at Silas and waved at him " Want to give it a try too??" she asked him waving her wand again, getting the baby back to pieces, and into the box.

Turning and seeing them all laughing... or trying no to... she said, "Well, I am sure glad you all got a laugh out of this! I was being attacked by a rabid child dummy, I acted defensively." She huffed and puffed a bit and then broke out in a roguish smile. She had just blown up a child. How silly!

Unable to contain himself any longer, Silas burst into laughter.

Wiping a tear from his eye, he looked to Melanie. "Are you sure you want to let Dora babysit after that?"

Looking at the now reassembled dummy, he shook his head, pressing his lips together in an attempt not to laugh again. "Oh no, I'm good, thanks. We've got our own dummies for my division. Don't need babies, too."

Melanie went to put an arm over Dora's shoulders and pull her to a semi tight hug. " Were you going to pull a red haired one on us??" she asked playfully eyeing the dummy. " It was a pretty nice work I did with that kid right? He's just despicable, everything a kid should NOT be at all" and she laughed.

"Little S is getting more demanding everyday too, time goes by so quickly, she's already 6 month old! And has lots of hair too, I don't know where she gets that from..." she made a pause and a smirked " well I do, it's the werewolf thing, but Merlin! So much hair!" and she giggled, then turned to Silas " Soooo. with all the hair and attitude she has I bet she could bend Dora"

Turning to Silas she started laughing too. She crossed the room and gave him a playful push saying, "Oh right. Selene will be trying to pull my hair and gouge out my eyes will she?" She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and turned back to the girls, "Okay, you've all had a nice laugh at my expense. Dora blew up a baby. Ha Ha." she said.


Returning Mel's hug she chuckled, "I would be willing to bet that she gets her temper from her mum!" She smiled brightly at her friend and then continued, "Don't worry, I won't blow up Selene or cast a full body bind on her either!" She saw the humor in it now and was nearly doubled over with laughter.

Calla watched the exchange between Dora and Silas, a little unsure of how Dora would respond. That turned out better than I thought it would, she thought.

"Oh gosh Mel, I bet little S is crawling by now huh?"

Dora was laughing so hard that Calla got caught up in it again, "My abs are really gettting a work out with all these laughing fits"

Silas had been expecting.. well, he wasn't sure.. when Dora turned to him after his little crack. He felt rather fortunate getting off with only a little push.

"She... might?" Silas chuckled at Dora's insistence that the dummy was nothing like an actual baby. Babies and Silas.. well.. let's just say it wasn't always a pretty picture. In fact, it often wasn't at all.

Dora smiled at everyone and laughed. Huh... Maybe Silas was having more of an effect on her than she had realized. She hadn't hexed anyone.. well besides the "baby".

Calla sat her hind end on the edge of her desk, the notice from earlier caught her eye.

She picked it up and eyed the others, waving the paper in the air, "This is just horrible" Realizing she was in the Ministry - the people and organization who put this into motion (and her employer) she spoke quieter, "I don't understand how they can do this?"

"I can't understand it either, I mean, werewolfs aren't danger on the days before.. not if they take Wolfsbane potion... and this probably means Craig won't be able to attend it, and he's so excited with the idea.." she felt the anger rise up on her again, her eyes were sparkling with electricity. " It's not fair!!"

Calla was already miffed at the idea of the Ministry banning werewolves, but Mel's anger seemed to fuel Calla's emotion on the subject.

"It's horrible, I mean they're treating them like second rate citizens." Calla stood up and shook her head, and her voice got higher pitched, "Isn't there anything we can do?"

"I don't think so, earlier today I saw this on the street at Diagon Aley, and at that time there was this man seeing it too, Marco something, and we kinda discussed the matter and.." she took a deep breath " in his opinion, they're right not to allow Werewolfs, because if they did they would have to let Manticores in too, because they have a brain also." she made a song of disgust from the bottom of her stomach and shook her head.

"It's so not fare. Werewolfs are human beings! They are only considered dangerous by law when they're phased! And during the QC they won't full moon happens after it!" she shook her head and opened her bag, taking a few picture frames from it and placing them on her desk.

Dora chimed in saying, "I think this propaganda is disgusting and the Ministry should be ashamed of themselves." It is sad that people are so close minded in this day and age. "Who even sent this parchment out anyway? Who within the Magical Creatures Division?" she asked as she picked up the piece of parchment.

"Well Marco who-ever doesn't seem to know what he's talking about."

"Umm," Calla looked closer at the parchment in Dora's hand, "it was Chad Stryker, is he the department head?"

Getting more frustrated she threw her hands to her sides with her palms open, "DOES THE WHOLE DEPARTMENT DOWN THERE AGREE WITH THIS?"

Calla had half a mind to march down there and storm Mr. Stryker's office. She knew deep down it wouldn't help, by any means - but she was upset at the irrational decision.

Katy bounded into the room so happy to see her friend after all this time, "Dora! When you have time we really need to catch up! I ahve no idea what is going on on the 3rd floor, and more importantly with you! I've been in St. Mungo's for the past month...bad spell work and lack of sleep. Are you up for a bite to eat in the cafeteria?"

Dora squealed as Katy entered the room. "Katy! I have been so worried about you! Of course I can grab a bite!" she exclaimed as she ran to hug her long lost friend... well month long lost friend. Turning to the others she said, "I am going to take off with Katy here, but I will return shortly. Please don't set the dummy on me again!" She gave them all a quick wink and blew Silas a kiss as she took off out the door.

Silas took the opportunity of Katy's arrival to back out of the office with a wave. While he disagreed terribly with the decision, Silas didn't often fight them. He didn't much see the point.

The more Calla thought about it, the more upset she got. "I'm going to see if I can have a talk with Mr. Chad" She had said his name extremely snotty. Gripping one of the fliers in her hand she marched out of the office.

Melanie got up too and followed after Calla " I have a thing or too I'd like to say as well" she said getting out.

Jake walked into the office kind of timidly. It was his first year, his first job. he walked over to a desk with his name on and sat by it.

Hmmm dee dum....

After a while of doing nothing, Jake went to get a cup of coffee. he sat back down and tok a sip of it.

hmmm....that's better...

Dora bebopped into the office after a horrible day that was luckily followed by a fabulous night. Hmmmm... what's this, a new employee?? Oh Merlin me, it's about time we got some help around here.

She looked at the man..boy.. well, he was younger than her no doubt. She walked to his desk, held out her hand and said cheerily, "'Lo, I'm Dora Lovegood. Take it you're new here. Welcome to the team. Your name is?"

She walked over to her desk and took her things out of her bag and waited for his answer. She loved meeting new people. She just hoped she wasn't off putting with her blonde and pink streaked hair. Teehee!

Melanie, that had been so concentrated on her work, didn't notice someone entering. It was the sound of the coffee maching that got her attention, since she had thought about it once of twice.

She looked up, and saw a man, or was it a boy? She got up with a smile and walked to him ready to introduce herself, Dora was already introducing herself. She got shoulder to shoulder with her and flipped her brown hair back, such a contrast with Dora's blond and pink one.

Her eyes flickered in the light. Bright blue.

"Hi, I'm Melanie Hale, Experimental Charms Division Head, you are...?"

Calla was going through files when the door opened. She didn't look up right away because she thought one of the ladies had just left the office for a moment. Hearing them both speak she realized she was wrong on the assumption and looked up to see man. Was he new to the department? She stood to great him, "Hi I'm Calla!"

Abigail walked into the office after her lunch break carrying her glass of water in her left hand and a muggle book under her right arm. "I'm back from my break," she announced. "Nothing happened while I was gone, right?" Her green looked at everyone in the room before they landed on someone she had NEVER seen before. "Hello there," she greeted the boy. "I'm Abigail Weather, Divison Head for the Invisibility Task Force." She gave the boy a little smile before heading over to her desk.

"Yeah I'm new," Jake chuckled, "I'm Jake by the way, Jake Diogry." He was suprised by Dora's blond and pink streaked hair, but thought it looked pretty nice after the shock had worn off, "Love your hair by the way!"


"I'm Jake!" He smiled at Melanie. Jeez...Were all the girls so pretty here? Blond/pink hair....brown hair blue eyes...too many girls in one room!

"Hey Calla, I'm Jack," He grinned, so many...

"Hello Abigail, I'm Jack," He smiled but smartened up abit, she was after all, the head of this department...
