"Not sure" Rebecca looked worried

"Isit the same culprit from soul sucking laptops?"said Draconis,Putting away his glasses in his pocket.

"We're not sure" Rebecca shook her head "I'm sorry" Rebecca sighed "But i hope we find them soon"

Lola turned back to face Rebecca. "So what should we do now?" she inquired. She figured it was best to let the new boss take the lead. This sort of event seemed to involve multiple departments, so Lola wanted to know who they should be contacting and working with.

Rebecca looked at Lola "Can you examine the money and then if you find anything intersting or unusual, tell me please" she smiled and left the room

Lola watched as Rebecca left. Picking through the small pile of coins on her desk, she sighed. Her eyes were not trained to notice small details, such as forgeries. She put her head down on the desk in frustration. How could she possibly recognize the things Rebecca tasked her to do. Lola stood up and began to stroll around the office. Maybe her coworker would be better suited for this job. Maybe he could help her. Lola was, however, too shy to ask.

Draconis picked up a coin,and lookedat it carfully.
"It appears that there are a couple scratches on this."He said.
"Possibly abuse by the user.Thi could be evidence."He said,Taking out his wand."Is there any spell for forensics?"He asked Lola.

"excuse me." Zoey said as she entered the room. "Miss Rebecca Jayne Todd told me to come over and help you guys with the coins case."

Isabella knocked on the Magical Equipment Control office door, quite nervously. She opened the door and walked in slowly ''Hello guys, My name is Isabella, im in the Obliviators office, just wondering if anyone here has ever had scarlet fever?My boss, Ivan has asked to ask ministry empolyees as a kind of survey for muggle excuses for seeing dragons and centaurs, Scarlet Fever anyone...''

She looked around waiting a response... ''All in need is symptoms and reactions to the fever.'' She put her pen in her mouth and the scrap piece of paper held tight in her hand felt like her only friend at this point in time...

Lola squinted her eyes, hoping to see something special about the coin, but all this method accomplished nothing, save giving her a mild headache. She was mildly annoyed at the instructions. "Find anything interesting," she grumbled. She yawned as she ran her fingers through the coins that may or may not be actual currency. Her crup made it a habit to go for 3am walks, which forced Lola up at that ungodly hour.

When the woman walked in, Lola barely even noticed. She was hypnotized by the shining coins and her wandering thoughts. It wasn't until Lola's weary eyes wandered around the room that she even noticed the lady standing by the door. She hadn't even caught her name. "Right..." she started, then realized she had no idea why this new woman was even here. Forcing her eyes to open more and appear livelier, she smiled and continued, hoping she made sense. "I'm Lola Adams, you here about the... coins?" She smiled politely, figuring if she sounded mad, at least she looked cheery about it.

Lola went back to her coins, which she started to line up in neat piles. She was certain this wasn't at all what she was meant to do, but it passed the time. She had lined up a nice stack of sickles when another lady walked in. This woman, Isabella, appeared quite nervous. Lola sympathized completely; she would hate having to wander around the Ministry asking daft questions. Putting on her sweet smile, she turned to Isabella. "Can't say I ever had that. But if you're interested in causes of hallucinations, I can tell you that sleep deprivation sends your brain through loops," Lola said. Clearly her lack of sleep was making her incredibly self obsessed and absorbed with the condition. It also made her complain more, something she rarely did. Lola made a mental note to nap on her next break, and to get her crup out of this horrendous habit.

"Good luck, mate," she said to the girl, wishing she could have been any help. She begrudgingly turned her focus back to work. She grabbed a knut and began to examine it. "It feels oddly warm, like I had in it my pocket. But I haven't." Deciding this counted as odd, Lola noted it down and placed the knut aside, starting a pile she'd label "Odd".

Zoey looked at the coin and then pulled out an american quarter that she carried in her pocket for good luck and looked at. "May I please see the coin?" she said.

Lola gingerly sifted through the pile of coins, but stopped when her brain recognized the girl had asked her a question. It took a moment, but she processed the inquiry, slowed no doubt by her exhaustion. "Oh, sure," she responded, reaching for the suspicious coin, which felt much less warm than before, so perhaps there was nothing of note about it anyway. "I don't think it's counterfeit," she shrugged, passing the coin over to her. Then her eyes fell on a strange silver coin in the woman's hand. "Oh! What's that?" she asked with renewed interest. It wasn't wizarding currency, and it wasn't British muggle money. Lola realized she'd been chatting with this woman, and hadn't caught her name. "I'm sorry, what was your name again?" she questioned in a very polite manner, idly running her hands through her short brown hair.

"oh my name is zoey, zoey cambridge." Zoey said with a smile. "This is an american quarter." Zoey picked up the coin and compared the two coins curiously. "Do they look kinda alike to you?" Zoey asked holding up both of the coins.

Lola nodded her head. "Zoey, got it." She leaned back in her comfortable chair, then sat up abruptly. "How rude of me, here," she picked up her wand from her desk and waved it. A spare chair zoomed over to her desk, stopping short of the other girl. "Have a seat," she continued.

Looking up at the two coins, Lola tilted her head and furrowed her brow. "I don't think so. I mean, knuts are bronze and small. Your American coin is large and silver. Not so alike," she shrugged. "What're you doing with an American coin?" she wondered aloud. "Is it worth a lot? How many galleons would you estimate?" Lola lazily swiveled around in her chair, wondering when she could take a break. She figured she'd have to at least come up with some anomalies in this pile of coins. In an attempt to pass the time, she continued to ask irrelevant questions, she might at least get to know somebody. "So which department did you say you were from? Are you bogged down in this mess as well?" she querried, stifling a yawn in the process.

"I am from the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office. We didnt have anything to do up there so they sent me down here." Zoey said. "My aunt lives in America. I went to visit her before I started work. She gave this to me for good luck. It is an american muggle quarter." She said smiling down at the coin in her hand.

Lola lay back in her chair and stared at a spot on the ceiling. There wasn't any especially interesting up there, she just needed to drift off. "You must be so thrilled to come down here," she snipped, annoyed at her current task. "Because this is so interesting." Jerking upright, she returned to the pile of coins. Her "odd" pile was full of just a few misshapen pieces, probably due to shoddy workmanship by the Goblins than by skilled counterfeiters.

Spinning around in her chair, she found it better to just make conversation, instead of actually... working. "So Muggle Artifacts... You muggle-born or have any muggle relatives?" she asked. She, herself came from a long line of witches and wizards, so with each generation, they seemed to know less and less about the muggles.

"I am half and half. My mum is a witch and my dad is a muggle. I have a sister who is a wizard too. Right now she is at hogwarts." Zoey said with a smile. "What about you?"

Lola looked down at her coin, the "odd" pile contained just a few misshapen pieces, while the "normal" pile contained the remainder of the suspicious currency. Turning her attention back to Zoey, she replied, "I'm a pureblood, both my mum and dad come from long lines of witches and wizards. So my knowledge of muggle things is rubbish," she scrunched her nose; sometimes she wished she had more experience in the muggle world. The things they come up with, it's truly remarkable.

"Well Zoey," she said, "I think I'm all finished here. Coins are sorted, I'm just going to send a memo to my supervisor." She reached for her quill and ink. She thought about what she would say, it wasn't as if she had anything revolutionary to note. She picked her head up, and realised that Zoey was still sitting there. "Of course, you're welcome to stay." Lola liked having company in the office, someone to make conversation with.

"Well I dont have anything else to do so why not!" Zoey said it Lola. It would be nice to have someone to talk to.

Lola quickly scribbled down a note to send to her boss.
She read it over, hoping it wasn't too informal. There really wasn't much to say about the counterfeit currency. To Lola, some of them didn't even look that odd, but Rebecca's instructions were to contact her about anything. Lola picked her want up and tapped the parchment, which folded itself into a paper airplane and zoomed off.

Lola leaned back in her chair and relaxed. It was nice knowing there was nothing to do right now. So lounging around wasn't quite breaking any rules. She was glad Zoey was sticking around. She appreciated having company around while she waited. "So how long have you been with the Ministry?" she asked, running her fingers through her hair.

"oh this is my first year. I was hoping to be an auror but this is fine also." Zoey said with a smile. "At least im just down the hall." She laughed, laughter always made things seem nicer. "How about you?"

Lola shrugged. Her Professors wanted her to be an auror, her parents wanted her to be an auror, and even she wanted to be an auror for a while. But she was placed in this office instead. She was less certain of that aspiration. When confronted with a minor Ministry disturbance involving children and house-elves, she was less than calm under pressure. She was more panicked and shaky than anything. Qualities which probably left her working here instead of with the elite aurors. "I worked here for a bit, pretty much since I graduated Hogwarts," she recounted her fast entry into the Ministry of Magic. "First I ended up in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, which was fun, but I still wanted to be an Auror, but ended up here, as well. Now, I'm not so sure, we're in a pretty quiet office, might be fun to go out on missions."

Looking toward the door, she wondered if her supervisor got her memo. She looked at her watch, Lunchtime, she thought, her stomach rumbling. She didn't want to run off with her boss coming by, but at the same time, she didn't want to faint from hunger. She'd wait a little longer, then break for lunch. With Zoey, it'd be nice to have lunch with someone, as opposed to being alone, which was normally the case.

"What house were you in at Hogwarts?" Zoey asked. "I was in Gryffindor as is my little sister. Her name is Naomi." zoey's stomach growled. She looked down at her stomach. "Well i think its lunch time. would you like to order in? I really dont feel like moving."

Rebecca walked in smiling "Suspicious eh?" she asked happily

Half an hour later she stood up and waved her wand at the office, everything went into it's proper place and nothing was messy, Rebecca looked at everyone seriously "The Convention will be touring the floors soon, please, if you are still here, be kind and respectful, this is the most important thing for Minister Cooper right now" Rebecca sighed "I will see you later, I have to go and protect the Minister of China" Rebecca walked out and cast a special spell to make the papers stay where they should be
