"Thank you." he said he took her hand and kissed it. He planted a soft kiss on her neck, and looked at her, it was true, she was amazing, "The stuff dreams are made of." he muttered to himself.

Lizeth leaned forward and placed her head on his shoulder again. He was so warm. She sighed contentedly and would have been happy to stay there forever. Their hands were still entwined and she just felt close to him. It made her smile.

Elwood stroked her head calmly placing one arm around her and pulling her close, he felt very warm and fuzzy on the inside, he loved being with her, the band stopped playing for a moment, but he didn't really notice, he was just happy being there.

Lizeth felt him put his arm around her and snuggled closer to him. It felt so great just sitting there with him. She couldn't believe that not too long ago she had been jealous of all the dancing couples.

Elwood was glad to have her so close to him, he felt safe, he hoped she felt safe, he had almost forgotten that he was working. He loved it.

Toya walked around with her tray getting drinks and offering finger foods. Her feet were killing her, but for the most part this reception was going smoothly. She noticed that a waitress was getting into with a witch from the Wizengamot. She had seen the witch when she was going through her security background on level two. She had better watch herself messing with that witch. Toya shook her head and went back to her job.

"Can I get you anything?" She kept asking.

His mood brightened even more as more food was brought around! The Minister and his lovely wife had done very well to choose these particular caterers – 'delicious' was an understatement. Nathan wasn’t usually all that fussed about food, but he couldn’t get enough of these club sandwiches and canapés.

“Garçon.” He said sticking his hand up and trying to get the woman’s attention. “What have you got then, eh?” he asked her eyeing up the tray of food hoping it was something different, but equally as tasty as the other food he'd sampled so far.

Oh joy! Thanks to talking with Teal, she missed the sitting down and the ceremony, Lorraine thought sarcastically. She of course wasn't disappointed in the least. But she would need to endure the lameness of a reception and dancing. UGH! Could she perhaps dance with her work? That would be funny, but that was all the dancing she was doing. And purple everywhere! No wonder they requested the guests where purple and black; but wasn't there such a thing as moderation?

Shaking her head, she walked carefully over to an open seat, making sure there would be an extra for Teal as well, should he ever enter the hall. The less time spent in these heels, the better for everyone. She stared blankly at the decorations, wondering what would come next.

"Care for a dance?" a purr came in her ear.

Theo had been watching her from the shadows. He was avoiding his wife, momentarily. He didn't really want to go and congratulate Cooper and Belle. He had approached her rather slowly from behind.

His black robes, white shirt and black bow tie, proved he could dress smartly. Even if he did feel a bit of an idiot. But it made him feel important, and not in purple.

"T-" she started, but stopped herself. That wasn't same voice that she had been talking to moments ago, before they got separated.

Curiosity got the best of Lorraine as she rotated her head slightly to see who it was. Theo: the department head up at Level Seven. "Hello Theo," she responded coolly. "I don't dance."

Taking in his appearance, she had to admit that the nice shirt and bow tie suited him well. "You clean up nicely."

"Hello Lorraine," Theo grinned. "You don't dance? Well we shall have to see about that."

He took her swiftly by one arm, pulling her out of her seat. "You can stand on my feet if you want. Or we can get you a more comfortable set of shoes," he said, glancing at her feet.

He smiled, "Why thank you. I knew I had some smart robes somewhere. That didn't have crayon or tears in them." He glanced at her dress, "You don't look too bad your self. That dress looks rather fetching on you."

When James stopped dancing Cassie looked up to see what had interupted them and saw Miley and...a guy? A smile formed on her face as she looked at her sister before turning to Jacob. "Hello, it's nice to meet you." She said to him before turning back to her sister as Jacob and James talked. "Found someone?" She whispered so the guys wouldn't hear her talking to her twin.

Miley looked at Cassie."What makes you think I found somebody?"She smiled.

"No I don't," Lorraine repeated, not liking that little smirk he had going on. "And I am not sure that your wife would like you dancing with another woman either. She is here, is she not?"

Before she could protest any longer, he pulled her 120 pound frame from ehr seat. "It's not the shoes," she lied knowing that changing her shoes was out of the question at such and event. "And I will not be standing on your feet either." This was she was adamant about; why couldn't he understand that some people just can't dance? "Fine. Just don't move around a lot, and I'll be okay I think."

At last, she couldn't help herself but smile a little with his comment about crayons and tears. "You've had someone cry on you before?" she asked casually, raising a brow at him. At least she didn't need to worry about that - she never cries. "Oh, uh thank you," she said, flushing from his compliment.

Cassandra looked at Miles to Jacob and back again. "You two were dancing weren't you, do you like him?"

"Oh yeah. She is here somewhere. Trying to get me to congratulate Brennan no doubt. But I do not think she would mind me dancing with a coworker," Theo smiled, "Oh maybe she will allow me to dance with a male. I would love to have one with Brennan."

"One dance with me?" he said, showing off his little puppy dog eyes. "Then you can return to moping in a corner. Waiting for your Prince to come."

"Oh many a time. Ex-girlfriends. My wife. My daughter. My son. Though my son has also peed on me," Theo laughed, "So crying is much better."

"You are welcome," he smiled, "You know, if I wasn't married, I would ask you to dinner. Right now."

"Can't I dance with a guy without liking him?"Miley asked.No way!!She was NOT going to tell her sister she liked Jacob.NOTHING Cassie will say will make Miley tell her.NOTHING!!!!

Cassie looked at Miley, confusion on her face. "Miles, are you okay, you know you can't keep anything from me, and you never did, why now?"

"I guess I should probably say my congratulations to the new couple too," Lorraine replied. "Alright if you say its okay with her, but I won't be held responsible for screaming." She joked.

"One dance," she warned, holding taking his hand and placed her other one on his shoulder. "My prince? Nah, I think that I have given up on that years ago."

Now she couldn't help but smile as he mentioned the countless number of people who cried on him. It was actually kind of sweet how sensitive Theo appeared. "Peed on you?" she repeated in shock. "That is why I don't want kids."

She paused at Theo's last comment. Dinner? With him? What are you supposed to say to a comment like that? "I wouldn't go," she told him flatly. It was partly true.

"I won't put you in the blame for screaming. Since you only said yes. You didn't ask," Theo smiled.

"Why have you given up looking? He can't have found you yet," he put his arm around her waist. "Did I tell you that you look amazing?"

"Yeah. He was very small, mind. One of those uncontrollable moments," he looked shocked. "No kids. I don't know what I would do without my kids. I love them to pieces. They are the most amazing things in the world."

He frowned, "You wouldn't? May I enquire, why not?"

Egypt calmed down when the girl walked away. "I am fine Nathan. She was just so disrespectful to me." She told him not caring about him flirting, he did that with every woman he met. She knew that was just the way he was. That waitress however acted liked Egypt was just a piece of furniture, and living with 11 sisters taught her if you didn't mark your territory you were asking for it to get taken. "She looked at you like she was imagining what she wanted to do to you if she got you home. Right in front of me, she didn't even have the tact to pretend otherwise." She took a deep breath to get rid of all those negative feelings, she hated feeling like that. Thats why she hardly ever got upset or angry, it just wasn't her style.

She leaned into his kiss, she didn't want him to think he had done anything wrong. "I love you."

"Oh that muggle film with the singing kids in that school." She said with a grin. "I think 'Oh Sandy' would be a nice song for you o sing to me come to think of it." Her and Nathan had curled up on the sofa with some weird muggle food called poppycake, or was it cornpeg? She couldn't remember which, but they had watched that film and she liked it, she could have done without some of the singing but it was a nice movie. She had caught Nathan dancing and singing "Greased Lighting" in the closet on more than one occasion. He didn't have the hips Travolta did, but it gave her a giggle every time she saw him at it. "Ok I will ask you tomorrow."

"Good. And I didn't technically say yes, but agreed so you'd stop hounding me," Lorraine reminded him smartly.

She frowned as he put his arm around her waist. No not nerves, but it was just the topic. "Exactly, why bother looking? If he finds me, then good for him, but I'm not straining myself anymore looking," she sighed and flustered again with his second compliment. "Yes you did and besides, I'm just... work is more important right now." It was true; in a sense, Lorraine was married - to work.

"You heard me right, no kids. They're annoying and loud and wild... and just not for me," she told him, making sure to keep a straight face.

"No, I wouldn't," she repeated again. He seemed to have trouble comprehending today. "I don't date," she said simply enough.

She heard the man talking to her and she held up a finger to let him know that she was on her way whens he was d done helping the witch with her drink. She straighten her tray on her hand and made her way over to the young wizard. "Yes sir?" She asked him.

She lowered her tray she he could get a good look at what she was offering. "Here was have pearl balls. Its a spicy pork meatball covered in rice. This is chicken satay right here. Then some little crab tarts. And finally some lobster puffs." She pointed to each little food in turn. "I would try to pearl balls, they are a little favorite of mine." She offered.

"What if he has already found you, but you are pushing him away?" Theo asked. He wrapped his arm tighter round her body, pulling her closer to his.

"Yeah ok. You should meet my Theo. He is quiet and calm," he said. "Won't be nasty to you at all. He just wants to be held and loved."

"What if I took you out on an office date? In your office?"

"I-" Lorraine started, but stopped opened mouth. She could not believe that he was suggesting what she thought he was. Pulling her other hand up on his shoulder, she connected her hands around his neck, allowing herself to be pulled closer. "Why do you care so much about my love life anyway, Theo?" she breathed, onto his neck.

"That's another part I don't like about kids," she smiled. "The holding them part."

She frowned as he suggested an office date. He was too persistent and it frightened her. "You're unbelievable."

"Oh nothing. Just curious," he smiled. The sensation on his neck, made the hairs on the back of it stand up. "Can't a work colleague be curious?"

"Theo is 10. He just wants to be hugged. You don't actually have to hold him. Except when he gets tired. But then he just falls asleep on your shoulder," Theo smiled. "Quite adorable really."

"Why yes I am," he laughed. "I just wanted to see what it would take for me to date you."
