Mei Lin was bored. Bored was probably an understatement actually. Being bored and not having all that much to do. Well she did but she couldn't actually think of it at the moment, she decided to go exploring. However due to the fact that she might actually be needed by someone at some point her exploring was rather limited. Therefore she settled on going to the Gobstones Division.

She'd never visited the division before and was therefore rather curious as to what it looked like. Walking timidly into the room her ballet flats made not a sound as she entered, helping her to glide past desks as her dress billowed out behind her.

As she looked around her eyes landed on Liam and a few other employees. It seemed as if he was holding a meeting and that she had walked right into it. Moving closer to them Mei Lin got into a position where she would be able to be seen if Liam looked around the room before getting comfortable on a desk, swinging her legs like she used to when she was a little kid and was sitting watching her father as he conducted his work. She missed him a lot.

Liam never heard the door open at all so when he looked around and saw that Mei Lin was in the room he thought at first he was seeing things and so he closed his eyes and openned them again but she was still there, this wasn't possible was it, he would normally here the faintest footstep or at least the door open, he decided that it must have been because he was busy with his division.

Liam turned to Lillia and Mark and smiled. "Please get on with some work, Mark we will meet in the Breakroom so you can tell me all about how you have been doing." Liam couldn't believe he had met Mark after all this time, he couldn't believe that they had been put in the same division.

Liam walked upto Mei Lin. "You enter the room quietly." He smiled as he held out his hand for her to shake, he really wanted to hug her but he knew that maybe the Employees would get the wrong idea and maybe Mei Lin wouldn't like it, he really wanted to take her out for an ice-cream but he was too shy to ask her if she wanted one.

Liam looked at Mei Lin and sighed. "So where have you been lately, how's work in your division?" He asked as he looked at Mei Lin. "I don't think you should sit on a desk, you could spoil all the paperwork that is piled up nicely, why don't you sit on a chair."

"So Mei Lin." Liam started to straighten his tie and comb his hair, he wanted to look his best. "I guess you want to see some Gobstone Equipment, though I must warn you I ain't going to play a game, when the Gobstone sprays you it smells horrible and it takes ages for the smell to go away."

Mei Lin smiled slightly when she saw that Liam had noticed her, the smile turning into a slight smirk as he closed his eyes before opening them again. Obviously she had been quieter than she had meant to be, or he was just so into his meeting he hadn't heard the door open.

Sitting patiently as he talked to his employees she was slightly surprised when he ended the meeting because she was there. She would have been happy to wait for him to finish what needed to be done. It was no biggie really, she knew that as the Division Head he needed to take care of things. Plus it had sounded like they were talking about the QWC. Something she would need to call her division together for although truthfully she didn't know how to hold a meeting when she was unsure of exactly what was going on herself.

"Apparently not wearing heels makes a difference. Although I do miss my lovely stiletto's I thought that the dress would look better with flats," she replied with a shrug, looking at Liam in slight confusion when he held his hand out to shake. It was strange, normally he would hug her. Mei Lin didn't ever remember shaking Liam's hand. Not even when they first met. Although that was slightly different since she was living or at least staying at his house due to extenuating circumstances at that time. Hesitantly she reached out her hand and placed it in his. Looking past him and at the room however her eyes lit in silent understanding. He was afraid of what his employees would think if he hugged his twenty year old colleague.

"Lately I've been in LA and around here. I was visiting Sakura for our birthdays and then when I came back things just seemed busy. What with the World Cup and all." Mei Lin said with a slight shrug. "How have things been going with you?" Wordlessly Mei Lin slipped off the desk, remembering all the times she'd been told that exact same thing from other people. Granted she had been a little younger than she was now but it still rang true. Desks were not a place to sit.

Mei Lin had just gotten comfy in a chair when suddenly she was going to get a tour. Why had he offered to let her sit if she wasn't allowed to stay seated? Oh well. She might as well take him up on the offer. "Sure. It could be interesting, although like you I have no intention to play. I did once when I was at school and after that I vowed to never play again." Mei Lin shuddered remembering the awful spraying things. She had spent hours in the bathroom scrubbing herself and then her clothes to try and get rid of the stench. The only reason she'd even bothered with the clothes and not gotten rid of them were because they were her school robes. "And maybe after you show me around we could go get ice-cream or something?" she was slightly shy as she asked that, remembering that she had interrupted him in the first place and now she was asking him to delay his work further.

Mark chuckled. ''I cannot believe we never recognised eachother.. I am still playing Quidditch.. Im thinking of going back to Puddlesmere.. i hear they need two more people again.. there seeker and chaser dropped out.. im thinking of going as the seeker again'' Mark smiled, though he was 28 he was still young. ''I would love to go to the World Cup with you! it would just be like old times.. except were watching and not playing'' This could of been slightly hard for them both..

Liam smiled as he shook hands with Mei Lin he didn't want anyone thinking that he was unprofessonal plus he had no idea what they would think, since he was a good 20 years older that her, he was coming upto 42. He was glad when she got off the table, he didn't mind anyone sitting on the table, hey he used to do it when he was 20 but he knew that his Department Head wouldn't like it and he didn't want to see Mei Lin get into any trouble.

Liam listen to what Mei Lin told him about Sakura and he was hoping that she was okay. "So how is Sakura now?" He asked as he walked to his desk and openned the draw. "He hated going into this draw because he knew that the Gobstones loved to spray people even if they ain't playing to game, all they had to do was allow it to drop and it would think that they were playing a game.

Liam smiled as he took the set of Gobstone out of the draw and put them on his table. "As I have said before I ain't going to play a game because it would make the place smell bad and I for one do not like the smell of a Gobstone spray.

He openned the box up so that all the Gobstones could be seen. "Now look but don't touch." He said to Mei Lin. "I hate when you drop them and they spray you if you don't get it anywhere near the Jack or it goes out of bounds.

Liam smiled at Mark. "I can't believe it either, though you must admit it's been over 10 years since we have seen each other since I quit 11 years ago and only go to the matches when I can get there, though I did try my hands at Coaching before I decided to come to the ministry, which reminds me, did you know that my Brother coaches a small Quidditch team in U.S.A?" He asked Mark.

He seemed genuinely happy that she wasn't sitting on the desk any more. Something which was strange to Mei Lin. She didn't really think people, well that Liam would mind all that much. Unless he was afraid that she would make him seem unprofessional in front of his employees? Frowning slightly at the thought Mei Lin relegated it to the back of her mind for questions to be asked at a later date.

"Sakura is doing ok. She's having fun in LA and has decided to extend her stay there. Originally she was meant to be coming back this Summer but now she wants to stay for at least a few more years. She's made friends and seems to be genuinely happy again. I think it's because when she's there she doesn't have to look at places that remind her of what happened or of him." Mei Lin shrugged slightly, not sure how to put it. "But there is still a sadness there, as though something is missing slightly, which could be due to any combination of things but I couldn't find it in me to drag her back here when she's clearly happy in America."

Following Liam to his desk Mei Lin stood a few steps behind him. She nodded intently as he spoke about the gobstones and how they would react even if a game wasn't being played, going up onto her tiptoes to see over his shoulder. She should have worn heels today as it would have been much easier to see. "Believe me I wont touch them. I played once and swore off the game ever since because it ruined my clothes." Well in her opinion anyway.

"Why did you decide to work in the gobstones division?" Mei Lin asked curiously. She just realised that for all she would call this man a friend she hadn't ever really asked him basic, getting to know you questions. Maybe it was because after what they both experienced it didn't seem necessary. Or maybe it was because it slipped her mind. Either way she wanted to know why he chose gobstones since it seemed he disliked the game a little.

Mark nodded.. he was eighteen when he first played his first Quidditch World Cup. ''I usually take my nephews to the matches.. unless im playing at Puddlesmere.. '' he said smiling. Mark would love to try coaching.. he had always wanted to try something new.. ''Oh really! thats amazing! i wish i did some coaching it sounds interesting'' he said thinking..

Liam looked at Mei Lin and smiled. "I am glad that Sakura is feeling a lot happier he remember how bad she had looked when he had last saw her, but that was to be expected considering things." He hadn't really had time to cry for his two lost sons, he had been busy with work and he knew that later on when he retired the loss of his sons would effect him hard, but just at the moment he hadn't time to cry.

Liam smiled as he sat down behind his desk. "Well when I got offered the position of Division Head I could turn it down." he said truthfully. "Well even though I didn't like the game I knew about it since I loved playing it ay hogwarts." He laughed. "Though when the gobstone spray you it is annoying."



"I tried coaching once, but It didn't go well, you need to know a lot about Quidditch, more so than when you play it, you even need to know how to cheer up people when they are losing and you need to make hard decission like dropping a playing." Liam replied to Mark.

Well todays been a good day for Mark.. After spending some quality time with the family Mark decided it was best to go back to work and sit by his desk, hmm any work to do? Well.. there wasn't much.. On his desk was a picture of him on a broom, another picture of his Nephews&Neices. He picked up the picture of his family and smiled.. Wow they were growing up fast!

Okay.. enough smiling and reflecting on the past.. back to work.. Mark had remembered he had some notes to copy from the brief meeting. Taking out his notebook and his new fountain pen, he began to write.

Liam smiled as he walked into the room and saw Mark, he walked over to his desk and then put his cup of coffee down on his table. "So Mark how are you today?" He asked as he looked on his desk to see if there was anything for him to do, there wasn't much to do, so he knew that he could chat whilest he did the work that was there for him.

Mark put down the picture of his family and turned around smiling at his boss Liam. ''Hey Liam, im not bad thanks! organising a party for my neice.. its hetic!'' he chuckled.. Mark lived with his Neices and Nephews.. partly because their father and mother disappeared.. It was down to Uncle Mark and his sister Eva to take care of the kids. ''Just been to see them earlier... the boys are turning into young Quidditch players already!'' he smiled.. it was good to see them doing something instead of getting into trouble..

Liam walked into the Gobstone office after a meeting with Rex and grabbed up a box and cleared out his desk, he smiled at the few Employees who was in the room at the time, as soon as he had finished he quickly and quietly walked out of the room.

Mark looked around and noticed Liam leaving, in a slight hurry.. He also saw him clearing his desk? this was unusal ''Hey Liam.. whats er.. going on? '' he was kinda confused.. Was he leaving his job? This was strange.. Mark ran up as he tried to get out quick and fast...

Marie walked into the office and sat down at her desk and looked around at everyone.

Mark watched as Liam left.. he turned around and walked back to his desk. Next to him was Marie, he hadn't really spoke to her much.. ''Hey!'' Well.. he never recalled ever speaking to her.. ''You look abit lost? you okay?'' he asked. Taking a sip of his coffee which was placed on his desk, he turned back around at her and smiled.

Exausting all the employees in the QUidditch division, he now went to Gobstones to meet their employees. He did hope to get his office back soon. He would have to go to the department head to find out when the remodeling would be over. But in the mean time, he went around and met all the emplyees, shaking their hands, and assuring them that he would always be there for extra assurance.

chelsea walked in and found her desk,she sat down and looked at the paper work on top of her desk. all this paper work for Gobstones?well better now then later. She started to fiel through it,and was quickly becomign distracted,she wheeled her wheely chair around facing,a girl she believed was maria .. "Maria right?"
