Tetrus strummed his fingers on the table a bit more forcefully, as if to grab his co-workers attention. Promptly coughing into his sleeve, clearing his throat, he began to talk again. “My friends, my friends. You all make a good point, yes? But I’m afraid we are forgetting the centaur’s nature… and why it is classified as a beast, not a being.” He leaned back in his chair, and folded his arms.

“The general instinct is to not trust anything besides it’s own kind, much less wizards.” Tetrus pulled one of his long dreds and threw it over his shoulder. “Only a handful of witches and wizards have actually gained the trust of a centaur. And after my research, brotha’s and sistah’s, I can’t find any within the current era.”

Now resting his elbows in the table, he stroked his chin in thought. His dark eyes looked back up to the rest of the room, slowly. “So finding a gift for our friends in the forest is our only option, yes? No offense my friends, but I don’t quite fancy sitting in here all day with you.” He gave them an eerie wink, “So I’d like to act as quick as possible.” He dropped his fists to the table with a clunk.

“As you stated, sista’ Kasandra, the gift may indeed fail. And should that happen, we must be prepared to duel. Perhaps even the use of the imperious curse would be prudent; but we won’t discuss that now.” He said, looking about the room sinisterly.

“With that said, we leave tonight. If you like your job,” He laughed in a sarcastic fashion, “and intend on keeping it, I’d cancel evening plans and be there. Just outside Hogsmeade, entrance to the Forest. Bring anything you think that could be of value. I myself am bringing a goblin plated shield and a vial of Basilisk venom. Think along those lines.” His deep set eyes look about the room venomously. “See you this evening then, my friends.” The Department Head clapped twice, dismissing them.

His brown eyes then went in pursuit of the late-comers. Ah, there they were. “Lupin, Kingsman, Vane, Ginger, Matthews, Akret, Verdez. Keep an eye out for a memorandum.” His voice was full of venom, and he slammed the folder in his hands on the conference table and stormed from the room to his office.

Kasandra looked around the table at her fellow co-worker. Looks like her valuables she would be packing that night would be a large thermos of coffee, and enough caffeine to kill the poor ol' centaurs.

She gathered her stuff, pushed her glasses up her nose and tucked her hair behind her shoulders. Perhaps a different doo would have to do for this trip. Her heels tapped against the floor as she walked out.

Violet scooted back her chair when the meeting was adjourned. She took a moment to gather all her papers and materials, stacking them in a neat pile in front of her. As she did so, she wondered what she could bring. She had a few ideas, but they would have to wait until later when she could really think about it. She stood up and left the conference room, heels clicking against the floor.

Chad slipped into the Conference Room with a folder of papers in one hand and a rather large cup of freshly brewed coffee, sent in straight from France. Earlier, he also had some fresh baguettes sent in too. There was a basket of them, pre-cut, set up in the middle of the table, surrounded by butter and jam. Only the best for his employees!

He took a seat at the head of the table in the room and started to set up, waiting for the rest of the people to show up. He was kind of nervous to be hosting his first meeting, but he would muscle his way past it. With more coffee, of course!

Davina walked into the room briefcase in hand and muggle pants suit crisp, with her hair pulled into a neat bun. Proifessional.
She was a bit nervous about her first meeting but had a brave face on.
"Good morning," she said said to her department head. Apparently they were the first there.

She took a seat not far from him and sifted through her briefcase, purely just to have something to do. She didn't do awkward silences.

Violet (on time of course, as usual) followed a woman she didn't know into the conference room. There were way too many new people she hadn't met yet. She made a mental note to make another round to all the offices and meet her new employees.

"Hello," she said to Chad and Mystery Employee #1. "I smell bread. And jam." She took her seat next to Chad and put her folder down. She leaned back in her seat and waited for more people to arrive. This meeting should be interesting. With each new Department Head came a new and different way of conducting meetings.

Kalee walked into the conference room, caramel macchiato in one hand, her binder in the other. The memo had said to bring coffee, and Kalee always had coffee with her, always. Her hair was pulled back, a silver headband holding shorter layers out of her face.

Kalee found a empty seat and sat down, crossing her legs, and looking up at everyone. Hi." She said smiling at everyone. She noticed another girl sitting next to her, looking a little nervous. "First meeting?" She whispered leaning towards the girl. Kalee needed to do something before the meeting started, and what better to do than talk to someone?

Davina smiled at her and nodded. It was her first time working for this particular ministry, though she had worked at the ministry in Kingston.
"yes, this is my first meeting here," she answered quietly.

Now she felt better, seems the workers at this ministry were just as friendly as the one at her old work place.
" I really hope the meeting starts soon. Are there many others?" she asked still speaking very quietly.

Rowan swept into the room, an Irish blur of long red hair and flowing emerald green robes. Carrying a notepad, a self inking quill, and a large steaming cup of coffee she smiled at the people already seated and picked a spot and deposited herself into it. "Good Morning."

She noted the professional garb of one of the other women present and couldn't help but admire her. She was trying to make a good first impression. Everyone had their own way of doing that and the girl showed spunk by doing so. Raising her mug in silent salute to everyone Rowan took a long pull of the Irish creme coffee. She couldn't stifle the sigh of contentment.

"Well no need to be shy!" Kalee said. "I've been here for about over a year." She added, for no reason what so ever. She took a sip of her caramel macchiato and leaned back in her chair, relaxing. "Well, I don't know about the other divisions really, but we have only 3 workers for the werewolf support service." Kalee said shrugging and taking another sip of her coffee. "What division are you going to be working for?" She asked.

"Good morning," Chad answered cheerfully to those who spoke to him. "Please, help yourself to some coffee...or to the lovely food in the center. We'll start the meeting just as soon as a larger portion of our people show up."

It seemed as though this division could not hold onto a department head for very long. Kass walked in, her usual bright colored hair replaced by a mop of bleach blond. Hey eyeliner framed eyes looked around the room through her thick horned rimmed glasses. Man, she needed to socialize more often. It seemed as though she hardly knew anyone in this room.

The girl sat down in a chair and looked up at the new head, and then over to a plate of... bread? Well this was nice, and she would have a piece if she didn't just quickly gobble down a badly made breakfast sandwich from one of those muggle places. "Good morning Violet." She greeted one of the women she did happen to recognize.

Kass' bright blue eyes looked up at the man sitting next to Violet. Wonder what his story is. She smiled kindly. "Good morning sir."

Gideon strutted into the conference room and looked for someone who looked even a little bit familiar. Oh ho! There is that feisty red-head Rowan from my division! I think I'll sit myself near her. But not until I get myself some bread! I do love me a nice baguette.

Gideon sauntered over to the vacant chair beside Rowan, baguette in hand, and took a seat with a heavy plop. The chair creeked a bit under his weight, but it held up alright. To Rowan, "We meet again!"

Rowan smiled as the handsome Gideon himself sauntered into the conference room like he owned the place. "Yes we do indeed." Laughing she conjured up another mug and poured him a cup of coffee. "Hope you like Irish creme."

Looking back around the room she noted that not a whole lot of people were here yet. Interesting. Leaning in close to Gideon she kept her voice low so as not to disturb any of the other people present. "Looks like were the only ones in Werewolf capture and registry that have shown up so far."

She tried not to but she gave him a flirty smile. What was up with her lately?

Rhea smiled glad to have met someone friendly on her first day. Maybe this would be nice.
"I'm working for the Being Divison: House-Elf Relocation, Goblin Liaison & Werewolf Support Services," she said speaking in a voice little above a whisper. She wasn't sure how much conversing was allowed and didn't want to be called out on her fist day.

Looking up she realized that others had arrived. She nodded and smiled at them as they walked in. They all seemed to be into drinking coffee. Not her, she wasn't much into that stuff, but preferred a warm glass of butterbeer to start her mornings off.

Gideon grinned his boyish (yes, even in his late forties, he could look boyish) grin and accepted the coffee from Rowan. "It's a bit frilly for my normal taste in coffee, but I never refuse a drink when someone's gone through the effort of conjuring the mug in which it sits." Gideon winked.

He whispered back, "Only ones from our office actually in our office earlier and now we're the only ones here? Looks like you and I are going to be overworked and underpaid unless they hire some new people."

Gideon noticed her flirty smile and grinned sheepishly. That felt good for the ego. Even after 25 years of marriage and 5 kids, I still have it. Ooooohhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Rowan nodded her head and the smile faded from her face for a moment. Then she plastered it back on. "Well then we shall simply have to do what we can each day and that shall have to be enough." No use freting over something that they had no control over.

Taking another drink from her mug she jotted down a few things for later and then grabbed a donut from the center of the table. Yes, most people her age were into eating little or nothing but not her. Rowan loved food!

Violet looked up as the first person to greet her (the only person so far, other than Chad) did so. "Good morning Kasandra," she replied. "I hope you have been well? I haven't seen you since the last mission." She smiled at Kasandra, then looked away to help herself to some bread and jam. She took a bite, looking around the room. There was the unfamiliar woman from before and another unfamiliar face, this one a man.....everyone else she knew or knew of.

"Durn right, it'll have to be enough. But you seem like a capable young lady, so I think we can handle it." This Rowan character seems like a good 'un. Too bad she's a little bit older than my oldest son. Mighta been a good match otherwise. Sure would be better than that girl he's seeing now. Head fulla air if I ever saw one.

Gideon glanced from face to face, wondering who the heck they were and what they did in this seemingly large department. And most importantly, he wondered when he'd get a chance to go out into the field to bag and tag a werewolf!

[color=#ff0033]Chad slid down in his chair a bit and went on twiddling his thumbs, mindlessly gazing about the room. Sure, he was spacing, but it was only because he wanted to give the others a bit more time to show up. He didn't want to have to mark then as "late" people, especially when it was his first meeting.

"We will begin soon...as soon as the other division heads show up. OR, until I can no longer last sitting around doing nothing...which shall be the next 10 minutes or so," he said out to small crowd. He could have sworn he had more people than this.

"I'm HEREEEEEE," a wail could be heard down from the corridor of the fourth floor. "I'm commmminggggggggggggggggggg." In skidded a woman, her blonde hair flustered and messy, her chest expanding and deflating as she longed for breath.

She gave off her best puppy dog eyes toward the new department head. She hadn't had a chance to say hi and this was not the first impression she wanted to be making. Tetrus may have been willing to hire her with little to no experience, but that didn't mean this guy wouldn't think twice about firing her if she didn't show at least some competence.

Taking a seat and helping herself to some coffee, she set some blank parchment in front of her for notes and a quick quotes quill so she could simply relax and listen. " Hello everyone," she gave a quick smile around the table. This was also her first department conference and she was nervous as hell.

"Well I guess we'll be seeing each other in the office." Kalee said setting her half finished caramel macchiato. She could have sworn it was full only five minutes ago and she was already almost done with it, what was with her and her addiction to coffee...or at least caramel?

Looking around she noticed more people had arrived in the conference room, but she knew there were more people in the department, where was everyone? Even George wasn't here and that was a little odd. "So I'm guessing you don't drink much coffee." Kalee said, noticing that Rhea didn't have a mug in front of her like most of the employees did.

Violet clasped her hands around her mug. She drank coffee i nthe break room sometimes, and it smelled wonderful, but truthfully she wasn't incredibly fond of it. Her mug was filled with hot chocolate. She took a sip of it, blowing to cool it off first, and swallowed. The foot on the end of her right leg, which was crossed over her left, moved in little circles off the ground. This was the only visible sign of impatience. Where was the rest of her Division?

"Oh you know, so so." Kass said as she took a sip of her coffee. Mhmmm coffee. Her mind wandered to the though of being able to replace her body with coffee. Oh how delicious.

Her eyes looked up as someone came rushing in through the doors, blond hair bouncing along with her. Who was she, and why did she feel the need to make such a scene. It was almost embarrassing for her to watch this embarrassing moment of someone else. Kass leaned into Violet and asked silently. "Who is she?" with a soft headbob towards the blonde taking her seat.

He watched with amusement as the second of three division heads made it into the room. Well, at least he knew that this one didn't have a problem speaking up when it counted. He liked her already.

Though, clearly disappointed at the lack of employees at this meeting, Chad stood up and clapped his hands a couple of times. A white board appeared just behind his end of the table, signifying the official start of the meeting.

"Bonjour!" Chad smiled as he looked around the room at the people there. "Hello...welcome...for those of you who don't know, but have at least clued in, I am your new department head. My name is Chad Stryker, I am French...so my English tends to slip from time to time. Please, feel free to throw a piece of bread at me if you find that you cannot understand, but no coffee, mes amis. It's hot," he chuckled, starting to pace a little.

"Now, we have much to discuss today, so if I may have your attention as soon as possible, that would be fantastique. So, before we start, are there any questions...about anything?"
