Violet considered for a moment. "I think it might be wise to have more people. We don't want to hurt them or take anything, we just want to talk to them. And it would help to have more people if they became angry." She paused to clear her throat and looked at Rowan. "Of course. I find it quite strange, it's been puzzling me ever since I heard about it. But it's hard to trace a woman who avoids all types of contact." She looked back down at the file. "But I agree. If she can be found, we need to find her immediately."

"I still believe the centaurs will more likely be angry if an unneeded amount of us go into the forest." Curses come to Kassandra for being to stubborn. She leaned back in her chair, her curly baby blue hair hung down as she balanced on the back two feet on the chair.

"Well," said Violet, "I don't think so, not necessarily at least. They are most likely going to have many of their number there, as it is in their nature when there is a dispute to settle with another tribe of centaurs or with humans. It would be expected for us to have everyone go as well, which is necessary now that they are becoming so angry."

Rowan shook her head. Blast her irish nature, why couldn't she keep her mouth shut. "With all due respect, centaurs are known to be easily riled creatures. Especially with wizarding kind. If we go into their territory in large numbers they may see it more as a threat then a diplomatic mission. The smaller the group the more likely hood that everything can be solved peacefully. The group would have to be well armed and quick with their wands just in case but I think the smaller the group the safer it will be." Why oh why did she have to be such a loud mouth. Everytime she had an opinion she had to open her mouth and spout it out. It was like she had no brain to mouth filter. Sighing she smiled at Violet, the last thing she need was a co-worker angry with her.

Violet turned her purple eyes to Rowan. "They're already riled," she said gently. "At this point it may be best to have reinforcements. Centaurs can become violent. It's been known to happen. I appreciate your speaking up and standing by your opinion, all of you, but I really think it best if we have more people." She returned Rowan's gaze and smiled back.

Kasandra just sighed. It seemed as thought this would be a lost attempt. "So... if you want us out there, what are we doing in here talking nonsense. We ought to think of a game plan and get out there right away instead of wasting time in here." She looked over at Rowan, appriacted for the back up- but it seemed as though Violet just would not budge.

Rowan smiled at Violet and then glanced down at her file. It seemed that they were veing over-ruled. Shrugging it off she took a deep breath and the looked back up. Kasandra caught her eye and noticed her look, Rowan winked in response. The two of them had at least been on the same page, but this wasn't their assignment to run. So, she turned back to the discussion at hand and waited for further instructions.

Violet smiled at the two women. "I really appreciate that you came out and gave your opinion, but I truly believe this is best," she sad to them. Violet turned to Teal. "Why don't you take it from here?" she asked him.

Teal listened to the interchange between the three woman, they all made valid points. But he still stood with Violet, the centaurs were way past understanding, and they were going to need reinforcements. Perhaps taking the auror office wasn’t necessary, he saw a room full of quite capable wizards and witches.

“I appreciate you’re opinion.” Teal nodded to Kasandra and Rowan, “But I know this group of centaurs, and they are already in a state of rage that can’t be reversed. Bringing a large amount of Wizards in is going to make them even more angry, but honestly, if just a small group of us goes in alone we’ll get slaughtered.” Plain and simple, it was the absolute truth. Centaurs were powerful, clever beasts. A whole pack of them working together could take down a group of 4-5 Wizards with relative ease.

“What we need to do, is find the Wizards infiltrating their lands before we talk to them personally; if we can manage it.” He said, swigging his coffee. “And human entering that forest is going to be killed at first opportunity, so we are going to have to be very careful. Once we have found the git that is in the Forest messing around, we’ll bring him to the centaurs and let them deal with him… or her I suppose. It’s the only way to create an compromise. Or the only way I can think of at least.” He said with a sigh, rubbing his chin.

Samson listened to Mr. Andrus and when he had finished, he raised his hand and said:
"Sir, are you sure its a good idea to `bring him or her to centaurs and let them deal with them`? Wouldn`t that be kind of... illegal? They might kill the person who enraged them... Shouldn`t we rather take him or her to the ministry?"
He hoped Mr. Andrus wouldn`t be angry with him for saying this, but that was what he thought was right...

Teal looked at Samson with a bit of a guilty look. “It would be totally illegal.” He said, looking quite worried with the situation. “Which is part of the reason why I don’t want the Auror’s there. But, in order to restore peace and prevent a war… it may be our only option. We’ll see if it actually comes to this when we get there.” He said with a final nod, stacking his folders as he prepared to conclude the meeting.

“Ok everyone, I think we are going to keep it relatively small. Everyone that is attendance here in this meeting today are obligated to meet outside Hogsmeade next this Monday at ten a.m.” Teal wrote down a few notes and picked up his things. “Please, thoroughly read over your files in the meantime, the importance of this mission is incomprehensible.” He gave a final sweeping look of room, “Well, meeting adjourned then. If you have any questions, please see me in my office.” And with that, Teal left the room.

ooc: I will be PM’ing ALL of you within the next day or so about the details of the mission, so be on the look out!

Violet stood up as the meeting was adjourned. She gave Teal a smile. That hadn't been as bad as she'd thought it would be. Luckily everyone in attendance had been understanding of their ideas. Though she wished she hadn't mentioned the Aurors, which was her only mistake.

Tetrus walked into the conference room for the first time, and his brown eyes squirmed a bit in the bright light. Pulling out his wand, he flicked it promptly and watched with interest as the lights dimmed a bit.

Much better.


The new Department Head went down to the end of the table and sat down in the largest chair. His dredlocks fell down and rested on parts of the table. His parchment and quill were sitting on the table and his dark eyes stared in the direction as 4PM approached. They better NOT be late.

Georgia Mayes was, if anything, relieved to discover that Teal Andrus has resigned. Dodged that curse. In the future she would make a point of trying NOT to throw highball glasses in the general direction of her superiors.

Unless it was absolutely necessary.

Cavernous briefcase strapped over her shoulder, and everpresent coffee in one hand she strutted into the conference room in her new suit and boots, in a fabulous mood. But not all of her vacation had been bad, after all.

For one thing, Gavin was rubbing off on her. It had been years since she had worn a turtleneck.

One of the employee’s had come in early. A vibrant redhead eh? Tetrus could get used to this. He tilted his chin upwards and his dark, sunken eyes became more visible in the dark room.

“Take a seat, sista.” He said, briskly gesturing towards the chair closest to him. “Tell me about youself.” His African accent was present, yet not overwhelming. He hadn’t had time to look through the files.

This girl had an unusually strong presence though, surely she was a Division Head.

Eyebrow raise.

Sistah? Well, at least he hadn't addressed her as if she was some kind of office supply like Teal had made the mistake of doing. Could be better. Could be worse. Obviously this was her new boss. Who else could it be?

"George Mayes, Head of Beings Division, who might you be?" she said, taking the seat and sipping her coffee. She regarded her new boss with interest. Obviously foreign, but she couldn't place the accent. "Somewhere in my file it's written that my full name is Georgia. I don't answer to it. Is there something specific you wanted to know?"

George? Tetrus had once figured that it was an English man’s name, but things like that got lost in translation constantly. He nodded once, slowly.

“My name is, Tetrus Santana.” He stated in his slightly wheezy voice as he straightened up in his chair a bit. “Just transferred here from Egypt, apparently my successor couldn’t handle the pressure, eh?” His lips curled into a scary smile as he crossed his arms.

“But, yes, it’s a pleasure to meet you George.” His eyes widened a bit, “Ah, which reminds me. I have a lettah for you in my office.” That could be dealt with later.

In the meantime, his dark eyes darted in the direction of the door. A murderous expression was in place. Where. Were. The. Employee’s.

"Teal was a bit of spineless wimp," George agreed. "And a total lech. I might have felt bad saying it, but it's true. And I don't worry about ruining your opinion of me by being honest." Tetrus' smile certainly wasn't the warmest, but it didn't scare her as much as it probably should. Smart as George was, there was some common sense that she lacked.

"A letter for me?" she asked. Now that was odd. Who would write her a letter? Bunny sent them to her home. "Odd."

Okay, now THAT look was scary, but also... awesome. Clearly Tetrus Santana took the same stance on tardiness as she did; you had better have a coroners note if you intended to be late or absent.

This girl really went off on the previous Department Head, and Tetrus managed to laugh, well, more like wheeze, but it was a laugh none-the-less. “I figured that much sistah, I figured that much.” The Sierra Leonian coughed a nasty cough into his sleeve. One arrow into the guy and Andrus was out of there, Tetrus had faced things far worse by the age of 8.

Mayes seemed surprise about the letter? Perhaps she wasn’t too personable, Tetrus grinned, she didn’t seem overly personal at least. “Mmmhmm,” The Department Head mused, “from thee Wizarding school here in Britain.”

Not that Tetrus believed in education, he himself never went to school.

His gaze loomed over towards the direction of the clock. Five minutes till 4, their time was running short. A question arised. “What type of disciplinary system did Andrus use?” If any, Tetrus sure it wasn’t strong enough to put employee’s in the right line.

Rowan strolled into the conference room with her purse tucked under her arm. Her forrest green heels clicking on the hardwood floors as her matching green robes swished around her. Her red hair was flying in every which direction as it was wont to do. Brushing a strand out of her face she found the first empty chair and deposited her things into it and then put herself in the chair next to it. Heaving a huge sigh, Rowan turned and leveled the new Department Head with a calculating look.

Rising quickly she stuck out her hand and smiled. "Mr. Santana. Rowan Cromwell, nice to meet you." Her hands were slightly callused but her nails were home manicured. Her irish burr was slight but still recognizable.

"Now that's very odd," George mused, sipping her coffee. Bunny wouldn't have sent her a letter at the office. In fact until recently, she had been afraid she'd never hear from Bunny again, so what could Hogwarts possibly want with her? "I'll have to stop by your office as soon as this meeting is over. Assuming it ever starts."

She nearly spit out her coffee. "Discipline? You're joking, right? Teal Andrus couldn't housetrain a dog. Discipline was outside of his realm of comprehension. My people are hopelessly lax because should I attempt to bring authority down on them, they would simply break the chain of command and run to Andrus moaning about their cruel task master."

Having only just seen the memo, Violet arrived slightly later than she usually would to a meeting--though still before the start, of course.

Her purple eyes zeroed in on the new Department Head immediately. Partially because the room was empty but for him, George, Rowan, and herself, and partially because she was sure she'd never seen him before.

Violet stepped into the room and let the door swing shut behind her. She walked briskly up to her new boss, pausing only to put her files at her place at the table, and spoke.

"Sir. I am Violet Silvermoon, the Head of the Beast Division." She stopped there, watching him to gauge his reaction as she customarily did with strangers.

Kasandra was reading over some files. That was all this job seemed to be about. Paper work, paper work, paper work, paper work. She flipped the pink dreads over her shoulder as she looked up through her cat eye glasses at the people in the room. "Hey." She said looking back down at the paper writing something down.

It was Katalin's first day working in the centaur liasion office, everyone was in a meeting she thought she better attend. She knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

Who in their right mind would KNOCK and WAIT outside a conference room door? Was there a process server in the building?

George looked at Tetrus with her eyebrow raised. She did that a lot, you might notice. "Mind if I get that? No? Splendid." she didn't weight for an answer obviously. Waiting took time and George was not the patient type.

She stood up from her seat and strutted to the door throwing it open with a loud

BANG!

"Who are you and are you not familiar with the mechanical process of a door?" the intimidating redhead demanded of the short brunette on the other side.
