Tommy nodded in approval

A memo flies into the office, folding to look like the shape of an crow. It falls onto of Mona's lap and unfolds itself a few seconds later:

Please have all International Wizarding Conference assignments completed and turned into my inbox by September 8th at 11:59 PM at the latest. Thanks very much! If there are any problems about meeting this deadline please feel free to send me a memo (OOC: Or PM me, Lissy Longbottom, or catch me on MSN if I'm on. Although it's a whole week from today to finish up and you've already had quite a lot of time to plan, so hopefully this shouldn't be a problem)

"Well, it looks like Ben needs all of us to be finished soon, in preparation for the conference," Mona said, sighing through her nose.

"What a long day," she muttered, as she sat at her desk, her quill scratching away as she wrote out the assignment. "What are you all doing this evening?"

"Good" Julliet said, humming a melody. She would have to write that one later, she thought, smiling at the music in her head.

Eyeing Mona as she was writing, she thought about it for a second. She didn't want to go straight home after a day of work. In fact, she could use a butterbeer. "I think I'm going to the Leaky Cauldron grab a drink" she said, curling a strand of her purple hair.

"I was just thinking that," Mona replied as she sealed the parchment with her wand. "I could go for a strong tea. Maybe with a splash of firewhisky."

"Be right back," she said, as she went to deliver the parchment to Ben.

"That sounds great" Juliet agreed, as her pictured butterbeer turned into a tempting tea.

She nodded as her division head left the room, before grabbing a piece of parchment and a quill and drawing the five lines needed to make a music sheet. She bit her quill and started writing the music she had in her head for a while now.

"And that bit is over," Mona said with a sigh, returning to the room. "Shall we, Juliet? Anyone care to join us?"

"Yes, let's go, the tea you mentioned before is calling for me" Juliet winked. Waving her wand once, she made the parchment with the incomplete melody curl itself up and jump inside a drawer.

Tommy nodded as Mona asked if anyone wanted to join them in the laeky cauldron "Yeah please" he smiled as he stood up

"Jolly good," Mona said with a smile. "Meet you there!"

With a swish of her navy robes and a loud crack, she was gone.

Tommy smiled and ran out of the room, heading towards the leaky Cauldron

Mona ambled back to the office, laden down with a bag full of heavy books and a slight scowl on her face. She might have overdone the...loosening up. She winced at the light in the office, and dimmed it slightly with her wand, massaging the bridge of her nose. Sighing deeply, she knew she'd be useless without a cup of tea, and left the office, Daily Prophet in hand, in search of one.

Tommy yawned as he walked into the office "Morning" He mumbled to Mona

Mikayla looked up as Tommy and Mona entered the office.
Unfortunatly she didnt have any time to spare to relax with her fellow workmates in the Leaky, but promised herself she would find the time when the opportunity next arose.
She smiled sympathetically and asked "Coffee anyone?" offering cups to them.

Mona sidled back into the office, cradling her cup of tea, a cloud over her normally sunny face.

"Hello, hello," she said tiredly. "How are we this morning? I've got my tea, thanks Mikayla."

She sat at her desk heavily and adjusted her glasses, pulling some parchment toward her. "I'll admit I'm afraid to begin anything, for fear we'll be wisked out of here to sit in some big farce of a conference like clabberts."

Tommy sighed "Yes please" he said bored "Mona, when are we next going out of the office on a mission?" Tommy asked suddenly interested

Serena entered the room, trying hard to suppress a yawn and looking as bright as she could. "Hello everyone," She waved with her right hand (she was too busy with clutching a cup of milk coffee in her left one). Hearing Tommy's question, she perked up at once: "Missions? Ooh, that better be exciting. I've been rather disappointed as nobody from Vietnam showed up at the Conference..."

A memo flies into the office and unfolds in the middle of the room:

The seventeen year old shuffled into the room, A fair sized box in his hands filled with his belongings, still pondering onto his thoughts. Kyler had only graduated from Hogwarts last year, and was now working at the minisrty. But not only that, but head of his division? He was very well amazed with himself, and his boss with the fact that he put him to this part. And with him only being seventeen, and bossing around people that where old enough to be his own dad? This was just insane.

But he kepted his face still, as though any of this didn't faze him at all, setting his box onto the only empty desk he saw. Kyler took A quick glance to his watch, furrowing his brows. Never in his life had he waken up this early; maybe he was just anxious. He roughed up his hair idly, taking guesses on what he should be doing right now. But nothing came up, his mind went blank, besides him having to unpack his things. Might as well get started with that now, before people stated pouring in.

Knock knock knock. Before anyone had the chance to open the door, Ben Cobblesten walked in, all 6 foot 4 inches of him and looked around. "Ahh, there you are Kyler! Settling into your new office alright?" he asked, looking around at the empty desks. Hmmm, that was a common sight around the department these days.

Pretending to examine the empty desks, Ben glanced at the new Division head and tried to read how he was feeling. The guy was hardly older than his own nephew, and yet Ben felt he was fully qualified to be the Division head. They needed some new, younger blood around here after Mona left--no matter how hard Ben tried to convince himself that he wouldn't miss that old prune, he kind of did--and they needed someone to spice up the Department a little bit. Ben would NOT let his level turn into one of those offices where everyone stood around the watercooler going "So, working hard or hardly working?"

"I think you'll find that things are rather slow right now," Ben said with a sigh, turning back to his new employee. "So you might be off to a slow start here."

Kyler gave A small sigh, taking A glance to the picture he'd pulled out. It was the whole set of his siblings, including himself, at the beach that used to be his backyard. Gooosh, he was going to miss Australia and all that sun. It was partially hard for him to take in the fact that he was living in London now. At least his brother tagged along for the fun.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Kyler jumped, dropping his frame, of course. It was something you would have expected. "Bossman," Kyler rotorted, grinning. "Of course, just trying to take in that this is my office, now." He chuckled, taking his wand to the frame in A quick fix. Gaah, he rarely used his wand, so that felt A little awkward.

And Bossman said it was going A little slow. Kyler turned, brow raised. "Why do you say that?" If anything, Kyler would blame himself being here too early, for why it was slow. He nodded though, smiling.

Ben just shrugged and ran a finger over one the surface of one of the nearby desks, leaving a trail in the light layer of dust that covered the office and sighed. "Well, I dunno if you know this or not, this being your first day but I'm sure you've read it in the papers or something but--we held a conference a few weeks ago with a bunch of Ministers from other wizarding nations and one of them was murdered," he explained. "Ever since then everyone's been kind of...aloof, I suppose. Hopefully they'll pick up now that they've got a new Division Head," he added with a soft smile.

Forest green eyes gazed at the older man idly as he talked, and wiped his finger to the dust. He talked of one of the ministers being murdered. Kyler's lips drew A small, hard line, not quite sure how to react to this. Yes, he'd heard A little bit about this. Only that someone was murdered in France, not that it was the Minister.

"I'm quite sorry, Sir," Taking note to grasp his shoulder for A moment to console, but then let his hand drop. "I do understand the feeling of losing someone, it does take A while to understand that life must move forward," Kyler spoke, in A tone that couldn't be explained. He took out the last peice to his box, which was his board, and set it lazily behind his desk and chair, leaving the box where it was, since he wasn't quite sure where to put it.

"I hope I can help with the problem, though." Kyler smiled, propping himself up against his deck, arms crossed over his chest. "I mean, I dunno how to explain it. My brother and sisters always tell me its A habit that I keep people in A positive mood, waay too much." He snickered, taking A glance to his watch again, out of curiousity of time.

"It's a bit of an outrage though, that this had to happen during OUR conference--I honestly think the Minister is a bit to fault, that buffoon doesn't know what's he's doing..." Ben grumbled.

He blushed when he realized that he had been rambling on in front of an employee--a new employee at that. Not to mention, who knew what kind of hidden bugs the Minister had in place in his offices? Ben could really care less if he did catch wind of what he was saying, but still, he didn't want his new hire thinking he was a cranky old man. He was only 40 for crying out loud!

"Well, good to hear it!" Ben said at his last comment. "The old Division head was a bit of a spoil sport, she didn't really appreciate my origami memos--heaven knows why, all the other Heads seem to like them--and I'm happy to say I think you're just what this Division needs," he added.

He checked his watch and sighed again. "Well, I just wanted to check up on you and make sure everything was running swimmingly in here, and I can see that it is. Feel free to drop by my office whenever you'd like if you have any questions, I swear it won't count against you or anything," he added with a grin.

Kyler nodded, A small grin forming again. "I'm sure he is, but i'm sure all of us can be.. a 'bafoon' at times." The seventeen year old chuckled, as he took that thought to himself. Of course, Kyler could be one of the stupidest people alive at times, but he didn't say that out loud towards his boss. No way was he ruining this position he was in.

"Origami?" Kyler grinned, brow raised. "That's.. actually very creative." He nodded. Kyler remembered when he tried making origami. The only thing he could make was those rings out of dollar bills. It was quite pethetic, really.

Haha! Kyler got A plus side from his boss! Woo-hoo! Surely when he was alone in his office, he would most likely be dancing. He was already dancing inside. "I'm glad you had givin me this part, Bossman, Very glad." Kyler smiled, noticing that the man was A few inches short, and him leaning against his deck made it perfect level. This made him feel very odd for A moment, mean, c'mon now. He was only six foot six inches..

"I'll be sure to pop bye for A hello," Kyler grinned as the man tooked down to his watch. He was quite nice, actually. Nothing that he was expecting at all.
