Nicoli entered the new joint office and stared. This was snazzy. Syd really had some work done! He peeked into the Wizengamot Office before scurrying over to the place he was more comfortable in-the MLES office. It was too bad he had to let go of the Hit Wizards, but if you thought about it, it made more sense for them to be with the Aurors.

Nicoli walked across and sunk into his new desk, waiting for the employees to find the new office. Gosh. Law Enforcement was hard work.

A new office. Apha's interest was raised as she entered it, scoping the place out quickly. Well, it would sure be interesting to share an office, wouldn't it? Hmm. That would be an experience to look forward to, she mused as she stepped further inside.

She spared only a glance for the Wizenmagot's desks - for now, anyway. Deciding to properly scout out the place later (probably when a few more people were here - it seemed empty save for Nicoli), she grinned warmly at Nicoli as she made her way to a desk.

'This is going to be fun, don't you reckon?' she asked him with a gentle laugh, dropping her bag onto one of the desks and perching herself beside it - who needed chairs? Honestly.

Apha! Good, good. She always seemed to be the one on top of things. Nicoli smiled at her warmly as she looked around. He decided not to say anything until she was done. There was only so much time to get acquainted with the new surroundings after all. "Oh, it better be," he answered her in a similar style. "Forrester got the Hit Wizards, which means he's pretty smug right about now." Nicoli winked at her and leaned back in his seat a little. He had just enough time to rest as people weren't in yet. "What d'you reckon? Think that bunch's fun?" He jerked his head towards the partition dividing the office. He had never met most of the Wizengamot. Save for a Shane something when he first started. He was pretty sure she left though. Sigh. They really needed more employees.

Oh, ugh. A smug Forrester. She fought back a scowl: that was something she'd hoped never to encounter during her time in the Ministry, if it were at all possible - but, alas, when did what she wished come true here? 'I can just see his expression now,' she stated, pulling a face at the thought. 'Well, at least he hasn't got us yet.' That would (hopefully) only happen when the end of the world came about.

A girl could hope, right?

Apha cast her eyes to the divider at Nicoli's question, and she tilted her head to the side. 'I'd say no, if they were anything like their Muggle equivalent,' she joked, turning her eyes back to her boss. 'But I can't say I've met anyone from "that bunch" -' she chuckled slightly at Nicoli's choice of words, '- so I hope so.' Yes; that would liven it up somewhat. Better than some mindless people like she'd met before. (Not that she was saying anything against this department - no, not at all). 'What about you? You've had to have met some of them before. Are they grouches or fun people?' Please be fun people, she begged internally. She wouldn't do well with grouches.

Warren walked into his new office with a large box under his arm and looked around with a frown. Well if this is my office now... With a thoughtful frown he waved his hand and watched as the room transformed removing the dividing wall between the two offices. "It's not a segregated office," he muttered to himself shaking his head. Well at least they couldn't say he didn't encourage communication. Looking around he spotted a door to one side. Must be my office. Walking over he pushed open the door and looked around before walking in further and setting his stuff on the desk in there. "Home sweet home," he said sarcastically as he looked around. He still thought that Syd had made a mistake but apparently he didn't think so. Hope you're right Syd.

Forrester leaned on Warren's door office. He looked at the man as he placed his stuff on his desk, he was accommodating to his new environment. "So I see you made it to Head... I just heard of course" Forrester said as he removed a note from Syd that explained that Nicoli had left and Warren was taking over. "So Nicoli and Becky are gone and replaced by two others, as well as new comer and the whole department reshaping... How weird it seems the only person that hasn't moved out yet since long time... Is No one but me!" Forrester said as he entered the office and approched Warren. "Well if you exclude Syd of course... So congratulations... The pupil has grown" Forrester said as he grinned and extended his hand for Warren to shake it.

Warren looked up as he heard a noise at his door and saw Forrester standing there. Nodding his eyes followed his hand as he went into his pocket, old habits die hard it seemed, as he saw the paper he held. He raised an eyebrow at Forrester's words, "Considering that I'm older than you...not sure I would consider myself your pupil." He took Forrester's hand and shook it before looking around, "Odd though isn't it. I never thought I'd give up being an Auror." He frowned and looked back at Forrester, "Funny how things change." Though his words showed no humour at all. Had it not all started with Alexa leaving who knew what would have happened. A new start...yes that's what this was.

Forrester laughed at Warren suggestion about him not being his pupil. "You might have a bit more age on you Warren but..." Forrester said before he stopped all of a sudden.
"You know Warren you have a lot to do to cover for what Nicoli had done to this place, Although Nicoli and I haven't always been on the same frequency... But he had a good eye that Nicoli too bad he had left all of a sudden" Forrester explained.
"So what are your first steps?" Forrester asked. "I'm guessing your going to call some staff meeting right?"

Warren was waiting for Forrester's reply back about the pupil bit when he was caught off guard by the change of subject. Turning toward the desk again he leaned against it and regarded Forrester curiously. "My first steps..." Smirking he picked up a heavy book out of the box that sat on his desk, "...is to unpack and get to know my employees." He pushed off his desk, his desk...a weird thought..., and looked at Forrester. "How are your cases coming?"

"Well if you mean what happened with the murder case and the attempted murder well moving great... The only thing missing is actually the culprit!" Forrester joked. "It seems that everyone is trying to hide something but I'll find it out... I always do" Forrester revealed. "I hope you'd get to help us and don't take much unpacking" Forrester said.

Warren chuckled lightly at Forrester's comment. "Yes well if you had the culprit it would be open and shut." He turned toward his desk and pulled some things out of the box. "Everyone's always hiding something though Forrester..." Picking up a picture frame he ran his finger along the familiar contours of Alexa's face and clenched his jaw. "But not everyone wants old memories trudged up and their lives turned upside down." He wasn't speaking of Forrester's case anymore but his own issues...issues that couldn't be fixed and would do more harm then good if poked and prodded. Placing the picture frame upside down on his desk he turned toward Forrester, "I hope you catch them though, I really do. If not...I dread to think of what might happen at the school this term."

"Well just hope it doesn't revolve around my hypothesis... Or we are going into a big troubled times my friend" Forrester revealed as he looked at Warren. Still thinking about Alexa?! Poor guy! Forrester thought to himself as he looked around him. "I am sure going to miss Nicoli... He's been in this job for a long time... Too bad to seem him leave all of a sudden... Well that's life" Forrester commented.
"Warren how come you decided to become the head of MLES all of a sudden why not my place?" Forrester asked.

Warren looked at Forrester and nodded, "Yes...let's not hope that..." He walked around his desk and placed the picture frame in a drawer before digging in the box some more for some parchment, ink and a quill. "Well...I needed a change..." He looked up at Forrester for a moment before looking back down at the parchment and what he was writing, "I wasn't happy...we both know that and while I would have preferred your position...you aren't exactly leaving any time soon are you." With a flourish he signed his name at the bottom of the parchment and waved his hand over it, watching as it duplicated and folded itself into airplanes. A smile came to his lips as he watched, he loved that trick. Then taking the last one that wasn't folded held it up. "Think this will get their attention?"

"Yes but A nice patronus is usually more dramatic" Forrester explained as he watched the airplanes fly. "You better use the Assignment board as well Warren"

Mandatory meeting. Sigh. And here she was, hoping to get away with being as inconspicuous as possible. Yeah. Didn't look as possible now, did it? Apha silently entered the office, taking immediate notice of an all-too familiar person and keeping her silence enforced as she made her way to a desk.

After a few moments of silent observation, she decided to speak up to her new boss. 'You called a meeting, sir?' she inquired (professionaly, of course. Always act professional the first time), placing her usual smile on. 'I'm Apha Ajuila; I look forward to working with you.' She extended a hand in greeting towards him.

Warren shook his head, "Well I might've done that except it seems a bit foreboding." He nodded and set the parchment in his hand on the desk, "Yeah, I'll put that one there later."

Hearing the door open Warren leaned forward and peeked out of his office door to see someone come in. "Guess those worked faster than I thought." Nodding toward the door he walked out of his office with a smile, Yup gotta be friendly. Maybe this was a better change after all. As the girl came up he smiled back at her with a nod, "Yes, I did. Thought it'd be good to get to know everyone. Pleasure to meet you Apha," he said extending his hand and shaking hers. "This is my old boss Mr. Forrester and I'm Warren Rodemiere."

"Oh Apha... How are you doing?" Forrester asked. "We already know each other Warren we have worked together more than once... I think Nathan was still with us... Well still unsure" Forrester said as he tried to remember

Prometheus walked into the office, being his first week on the job, he was still not use to making his way around Level 2.
Seeing a small group of others, including Forrester, who Prometheus had seen when called to the scene of the murder of Prof. Forrester.
Stepping into their eye line, he cleared his throat, " Prometheus Hudson newly appointed Member of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad and Wizengamot office"

Warren looked at Forrester and shrugged, "Well...you got introduced again." Smiling he stretched and looked around the office. "Well Forrester...Thanks for stopping by," if he didn't get the hint he had some serious issues that was for sure. He needed to get to know his employees without him getting in the way.

As the door opened again he looked over and nodded at the guy who entered, "Nice to meet you Prometheus. I'm Warren Rodemiere." He leaned against the desk closest to him and looked around, "Take a seat guys and relax while we wait for the rest. So...Prometheus...where were you before?" He asked curiously as he picked up a quill and twirled it around his fingers. This was a lot easier for him than he thought. Yes change is definitely good.

Forrester nodded to the new guy that entered the room and left the office. "Warren you have much and a lot to learn about" Forrester whispered to the door that closed behind him. He smiled and moved towards his office.

"Well, Actually i am fresh meat, first ever ministry appointment. I was home schooled traveling the world with my parents and younger brother, who is now a first year at Hogwarts." Prometheus smiled, hoping he had answered the question

Warren watched as Forrester left his office. Turning his eyes back toward Prometheus he nodded, "Well..then I can show you the ropes." He looked at the clock on the wall and sighed. Seemed everyone else was late. "Well...while we wait, I'll let you get to know me a bit I suppose." He pushed off the desk and walked around a bit, "I'm Warren...of course. I've been an Auror for over twenty years in three different countries. I'm fluent in Russian and Italian." He looked at the both of them and pointed to the long scar on the side of his face from his eyebrow to his cheek, "And this was not the cause of a spell but rather a long lost dream lost, Quidditch. I do have a number of wounds from various spells and incidents elsewhere." He had to force himself not to touch the one on his side that he got because of Alexa...no...not there.... Forcing his mind elsewhere he looked at the two eager officers in front of him, "So tell me a little about yourselves."

Arriving at his office with a loud popping sound he let go of the woman's arm and waved his hand effortlessly toward a table and several chairs, watching as they moved toward them and arranged themselves neatly. His magic had gotten better over the months that was for sure. Pulling out a chair he gestured toward the woman, "If you would please sit." Looking at Prometheus he nodded toward the chairs on the opposite side, "If you'll start I need to go grab Forrester." He didn't really feel comfortable about leaving the brand new law enforcement member by himself with a supposed killer but he didn't really have a choice. Pulling the wand that belong to the woman out of his pocket he handed it to Prometheus and headed for the door, "I doubt you'll get much since she's already admitted." Looking at the woman he shook his head, so much for his quiet evening, "I'll be back."

Walking back in Warren sat down at the table across from the woman and looked at Prometheus, "Forrester will be here momentarily until then..." Turning his gaze back toward the woman he grabbed her wand and held it up, "Care to explain what you were talking about in a logical way?" Setting it down between them he met her eyes and waited for her answer.

Breathing in deeply Patroclus summoned his note pad and quill for thin air,
"If I could just get a name and age, we can sit here in silence till my boss gets back," he said trying to calm the erratic woman, "how does that sound?"
